Everything around it was great, but unfortunately the food wasn't. I Moser don't care much about the food but all 3 dishes we had weren't completely to our satisfaction. I had Sparips and they were terrible. They were probably cooked and then had a small dollop of sauce on them. The potato wedges were out of the bag. I was really disappointed. Maybe the host should try what is being cooked in the kitchen every now and then. After all, the prices are not cheap either. I expect a little more quality. But the staff is very friendly, there's nothing to complain about.

Very good, tasty dishes and good value for money with very good, attentive service. Many events are offered. Highly recommended!

Great food, great service, special location

The castle is beautiful and worth every visit, but I would definitely skip the castle restaurant next time if you want something to eat. Despite the lack of customers, we had to wait over an hour for four simple dishes (roulades, game goulash, two children's meals), the taste of the food was just okay, one meal didn't come as ordered and the requested side dish arrived when it was almost finished eating. Visually it's a zero number and definitely very cheeky for the price range.

We were there recently with a group of 10 people. The food was absolutely great, the service was very friendly. We also really liked the ambience. However, it wasn't nice that the last ones got their food when the first ones had almost finished eating. 10 people isn't so many that you can't organize something. The dessert, which only about half of us ordered, also came in pieces. That really wasn't nice, hence the deduction of stars for the service.

We just waited 45 minutes for cake and coffee in a restaurant that wasn't even half full. Cake warm but dusty dry.

Had fish and spare ribs for dinner yesterday and it was super tasty and the portion was completely sufficient. The service was very friendly. Very nice rustic outdoor terrace. Parking options were also great. The interior also had a nice ambience. We would definitely like to come back.

Nice location, the food on the menu is also OK in relation to the 3-course menu, unfortunately very snippy and quite sloppy service, serve wrong components of ordered dishes, book wrong tables/dishes, if there are 3 occupied tables, a table is still available after 30 minutes not cleared away, requests for changes are only implemented grumpily with unfriendly comments, you don't feel comfortable as a guest, "three-course menu" consists of tomato soup, spaghetti Bolognese and alternatively tomato rice pan, very varied... and unfortunately not particularly good... we can do it Unfortunately I don't recommend going out to eat...

The castle is particularly impressive when parking, the ambience in the restaurant is very simple. I ordered the beef roulades, even though the price was really high at €23.90. The service was solid and really quick. The food, on the other hand, was really disappointing: the red cabbage tasted like it came from a jar and seemed to have only been juiced and briefly sautéed, the potatoes were very different sizes and while the large one wasn't completely cooked through, the small ones were mushy. The sauce had a terrible consistency and tasted like nothing...the two small roulades looked good, but tasted practically like nothing. I was super disappointed and the price is a disgrace.

A great establishment with a beautiful summer terrace. We had very good zebrafish, rice and spaghetti with shrimps. Very pleasant service and atmosphere.

Great restaurant in a great atmosphere! An anniversary celebration ended with a great barbecue buffet. Very nice staff provided us with drinks. The food was very good! The many salads, desserts and grilled dishes were very tasty and available in sufficient quantities. We'd love to come back!

I have to agree with Sebastian. We had lunch there and were looking forward to delicious home cooking. The good first: the service! Extremely nice, accommodating, friendly and attentive. Really great! It's also nice to sit outside with a view of the greenery. Also very child-friendly. Several high chairs available, even children's cutlery is there. But sorry, eating doesn't work that way. At that price I expect fresh food and not ready-made products!! My salad with goat cheese was ok, but not great. The vegetable pan was not freshly prepared. Tasted like frozen vegetables. Unfortunately I wouldn't come back because of the food...

We spent a great afternoon here with our three children. The food was fresh and tasty and came very quickly. The seats on the terrace are shaded and have a wonderful view. The service was extremely friendly! In front of the terrace there is a large lawn and directly there is a playground that can be seen from the terrace. Great for families!

Delicious food in a very nice atmosphere. The restaurant was a chance discovery while passing through, but the visit was worth it - we'll be back!

Relaxed atmosphere on the terrace with a view of the greenery, fast and very friendly service! Despite having lunch at coffee time, everything came quickly and freshly prepared. The chicken fillet in orange mustard sauce was terrific, and the slightly crispy potato wedges were also perfect.

Entspannte Atmosphäre auf der Terrasse mit Blick ins Grüne, schneller und sehr freundlicher Service! Trotz Mittagessen zur Kaffeezeit kam alles schell und frisch zubereitet. Das Hähnchenfilet in Orangen-Senf-Sauce war grandios, auch die leicht knusprigen Kartoffelspalten waren perfekt.

The dinner we ordered was included in the overnight stay at the Schlosshotel Neustadt Glewe. There was only one dish to choose from, which wouldn't have been bad if it had been tasty. Pork schnitzel from the freezer, croquettes and vegetables from the freezer, ready-made sauce from the package, so it's more like canteen food. The two stars are only for the very friendly and fast service and the great outdoor terrace. We wouldn't come back to eat.

We loved the restaurant. The service and the food were simply great. The park around the castle invites you to linger. Keep it up!

Das bestellte Abendessen war inklusive in der Übernachtung im Schlosshotel Neustadt Glewe. Es gab nur das eine Gericht zur Auswahl, was nicht schlimm gewesen wäre,wenn es geschmeckt hätte. Schweineschnitzel aus dem Tiefkühler, Kroketten und Gemüse aus dem Tiefkühler, Fertig Sauce ausder Packung, also eher Kantinenessen. Die zwei Sterne gibt es nur für den sehr freundlichen und schnellen Service und die tolle Außenterrasse. Zum Essen würden wir nicht mehr kommen.

I am referring here exclusively to the castle restaurant, not to the castle. We went out to dinner with our two younger children a few days ago. Small play corner with books, pens, smaller games seemed appealing at first glance, but at second glance it was a bit sad: discarded, old books, some from McDonald's, pens not sharpened, painting paper had to be asked for. But at least there was something there. The service was a bit lackluster, had to set up for a party or something similar and was therefore busy elsewhere. After 5 minutes we took the menus ourselves. It took quite a long time for the food to arrive and the disillusionment was great. Almost all of the food was frozen or ready-made, which was sometimes even cold (on the inside). Croquettes, vegetables (small carrots, peas, cauliflower, etc. - cold!), hollondaise sauce, coleslaw, nothing freshly cooked. The potato wedges were - basically okay for us - also ready-made, but the herb curd that we ordered was a small blob and not worth mentioning on the menu. The beef roulades were also cold inside and the breaded schnitzel had been in the pan for too long. Because the children didn't really eat much, we wanted to at least take the potato wedges with us, for which they wanted to charge us an additional 1.50 euros. The additional order of small ketchup and mayo sachets were also charged at 1 euro - given the high prices we would have expected that this would have been included. In view of the prices, we would have expected much more here and are still so disappointed for days that I'm even sitting down again and writing this review. The quality is subpar, we wouldn't eat here again for even half the money.

Ate very tasty. The atmosphere at the castle is great. Unfortunately we couldn't use the terrace due to the weather - but we would definitely have sunshine until the shop closed. Overall, definitely a recommendation!

They seemed slightly overwhelmed. The outdoor terrace was well attended, but the interior was almost empty. The meal was okay. The ambience and furnishings for a castle restaurant were very poor, the walls were somewhat bare.

Sicher ist es keine gute Idee bei einem Mittelalterlichen Fest das Restaurant zu besuchen, aber wir waren auf Durchreise zu unserem nordseetrip Terrasse voll, drinnen leerer, eine Menge überforderter Kellner, nach dem es gelungen war die Aufmerksamkeit einiger zu bekommen, langsamer Service, essen gut, bei Bezahlung mit Karte wurde man am Tresen abgestellt, es gab einige größere Tische, aber die mehr als überforderten Servicekräfte wollten nicht durcheinander kommen, was das Lächeln mehrerer Gäste noch verstärkte

A perfect setting and a great restaurant

No greeting from the staff, a menu was carelessly placed on the table without a glance. Half of the order was forgotten and the rest was taken incorrectly. Pay before the food arrives, staff act as if they don't have any change and get the tips. Guests must clean up and throw away broken glasses themselves.

It took a whole hour until the ordered food finally came to the table. But after the long wait, the food came to the table almost cold. Cold asparagus doesn't taste good at all. When I asked the boss about it, she said she didn't know what was going on in the kitchen...

The service was very bad, about 30-45 minutes until we got our drink. The food cards were thrown on the table and the drinks were placed in such a way that they almost spilled over. Unfortunately we didn't like the food in general either. Personally, I think almost 4 euros for a glass of water is way too expensive. All in all, I wouldn't eat here again.

The service was terrible, you only got something to drink after 30 minutes, the service was unfriendly and you could argue about the food. You must know.

After a drive of several hours and feeling hungry, we went to the very cozy Burg Restaurant in Neustadt Glewe. It was super tasty and plentiful. Recommended zander fillet with asparagus, chicken with Mediterranean vegetables and schnitzel with asparagus hollendaise. We'd love to come back.

The food was very good. Unfortunately, the dish was incompletely covered. The query was received unfriendly and then not fulfilled. The lack of staff is also noticeable here.

A great location for a sunset meal on the terrace. The ambience and service are good - the food still has room for improvement. The schnitzel was great 😊! Unfortunately not the seasoned meat 🙁, small portion, not well made and too expensive.

Visit on May 12th, 2024 between 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.: Ordered steak from the hip and was served spoiled meat. Reporting to the health department is being considered.

Very nice atmosphere. The service is ok. Unfortunately the food is not tasty. Nothing fresh. Frozen vegetables, ready-made salads and unfortunately tough schnitzels. Even the boss recommends another restaurant to guests who haven't eaten yet. We are disappointed and cannot understand the 4.3 star rating

A service force that was a little overwhelmed. The lady was still friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the cake and cake were not freshly made. Otherwise a nice restaurant.

The cakes were delicious, the service was nice and friendly and you could enjoy the sun on the terrace. There were rustic wooden benches/tables. If you value tablecloths and napkins, you won't have any luck with them, at least outside.

Ate a three-course menu that was top notch, as was the service! Highly recommended.

Very small vegetarian menu, which is incredibly expensive and offers you next to nothing. I had the rice and vegetable pan. There were maybe 5 huge pieces of eggplant in there (someone was too lazy to cut it), a bit of carrot and zucchini and that was it. The dish could have easily been Uncle Ben's microwave rice. That's how it tasted. Another person ordered a vegetable stir-fry and goat cheese with it (of course at an additional cost). If it weren't for the cheese, it would have been a children's portion. So few vegetables for €15.90 is a disgrace. The beef steak, which costs just under €30, was served cold. For drinks we had water and mishmash. It came in bottles and glasses had to be ordered. Payment at the table is not possible. Staff is friendly and helpful. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately the food wasn't good👎, the wild goulash, the duck and the vegetables from the nuggets with my son's fries had the same "bag" sauce that didn't taste good. The turkey schnitzel was good. Overall, we weren't happy with the food. Waitress was nice and gave us a bit of a discount 👍 but we won't stop for dinner again👎... The castle and the restaurant inside are very beautiful 👍

Waited 2 hours for food then everything went wrong and still left a lot of money behind, not recommended.

Spontaneously as always, this time I visited this restaurant while passing through Berlin. Simply great! We arrived on Wednesday at 4pm so a very awkward time for restaurants. It was empty, we were the only guests after lunch. We were greeted very nicely, chose a table and ordered. The food (mushroom pan and small schnitzel) came 20 minutes later. Extremely tasty and fresh, even though we were the only ones in the kitchen. Nothing warmed up or microwaved. Price absolutely justified for the good quality and the walk around the castle in the park was wonderful. Absolute recommendation!

Really good food at reasonable prices. The castle is great - unfortunately with architectural bloodstones in the restaurant (see concrete pillars) that don't fit in with the historic walls. Service staff took a bit of trying to crack a smile, but were satisfactory in their work. All in all, worth a visit!

I think it's really nice just that it's in a castle. It's so rustic with the thick walls. The dining room is very large and offers plenty of space. Even though it's an open space, it's still not too loud. The staff are very friendly and the food was also very tasty! I had the chicken with orange sauce. The light hollandaise sauce was also exceptionally tasty, with a little lemony note. Everything clean and well maintained. Definitely again!

Historical location, I think the ambience is too sober, the food is well portioned and tasty. The service is friendly. Payment at the checkout is not timely.

Hatten als Familie einen Tisch zu dritt bestellt. Als wir dort ankamen wusste erst keiner so recht das wir einen Tisch vorbestellt hatten. Als man uns dann endlich einen Tisch zugewiesen hat haben wir gefühlt sehr lange warten müssen bis endlich mal einer kam ob wir was trinken wollen bzw. nach einer Karte mussten wir noch nachfragen...Dann bekamen wir 1 Karte zu dritt:( Dann passierte wieder lange Zeit nichts.. Nach aufmerksam machen kam die "unfähige" Servicekraft und wir wollten Gerichte aus der Karte bestellen und uns wurde dann mitgeteilt das es heute nur Buffet gebe. Da waren wir sehr enttäuscht drüber. Wir wollten als Familie besinnlich und harmonisch essen .Statt dessen Massenabfertigung am Buffet, laut , Gedränge und absolut unterirdisch schlechter Service. Zum Essen ist uns die Lust vergangen.. Nach einem Getränk haben wir das Burg Lokal verlassen. Auf garkeinen Fall empfehlenswert.

Wir waren zur Weihnachtsfeier in den Räumlichkeiten, einfach klasse

Tisch war bestellt...Eine Stunde auf das Essen gewartet. Gäste die später kamen bekamen schneller ihr Essen als wir. Essen kam erst nach dem gefragt wurde, nach über einer Stunde. Gemüseragout schwamm in Fett. Hähnchen in Orangensauce, kam als Honig Senfsoße. Schnitzel war kalt Gemüse lauwarm. Ende vom Ganzen für 4 Personen insgesamt 125 Euro für Essen was verspätet und lauwarm ankam. Das die Person mit dem Gemüseragout mit Bauchschmerzen Übelkeit und Durchfall nach Hause gehen mußte und den Weihnachtsmarkt nicht mehr genießen konnte

Wir waren Anfang Dezember 23 zum Ritteressen die Vorfreude War groß und dann Schock die Leute saßen wirklich sehr dich aneinander man hatte sehr wenig Platz. wenn man zum Rauchen raus wollte mußte sich zwischen den Stühlen durch quetschen (es waren 4-5 sehr lange Tafeln aufgebaut) selbst das Personal hatte Probleme dar durch zu kommen.Es gab Kartoffelsuppe im Brot die Suppe ist Geschmackssache (säuerlich) der Fleischteller war auch nicht so toll die rippchen haben nach Händchenkeule geschmeckt die auch drauf lagen die Haxe ging so .........die Band die aufgespielt hat war gut die haben sich jedenfalls grosse Mühe gegeben

Wir waren zum Ritteressen vor Ort, sehr enttäuschend für uns. Ca 2 h Wartezeit auf das Essen, was kalt und nüchtern war. Gauklerprogramm überhaupt nicht empfehlenswert, hier müssen sich die Gäste von Fortuna Musica aufs übelste beleidigen lassen. Eine größere Gesellschaft musste sich als Idioten beschimpfen lassen.

Sehr leckeres Essen, große Portionen, sehr hübsches Ambiente und nettes Personal. Preislich für die Leistung sehr gut!

Bei der Preisklasse hätte ich bei den Speisen weniger Convenience erwartet und ein gleichzeitiges Servieren am Tisch. Ambiente und Service sind sehr gut.

Tolle Lage in der Burg, schöne Einrichtung und sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Essen war über einen Animod Gutschein, ausreichend viel und lecker. Unser Hund war auch kein Problem sondern willkommen.

Es war sehr schön!Essen frisch zubereitet und gute Weine!!

Es hat uns hier sehr gut gefallen, das Essen war reichlich und gut und der Service top! Lediglich einen Punkt Abzug weil es in den Räumlichkeiten sehr kalt war.

Ein außerordentliches Restaurant. Schöne Burg so oder so und der innerbereich sehr schön gestaltet. Das Essen welches ich hatte würde ich definitiv wieder bestellen. Sehr schmackhaft und ansprechend angerichtet. 4 Sterne beim Service auch nur, da ich selber aus der gastro komme und mir die kleinen Feinheiten oftmals wünsche, aber ansonsten auch hier alles in Ordnung. Alles in allem sehr zufrieden und definitiv weiterzuempfehlen. Beim nächsten mal hab ich auch mehr Zeit uns schau mir den Burghof an.

Wir hatten heute das Vergnügen von Martin bedient zu werden. Super sympathischer Mitarbeiter und hervorragender Service. Das Ambiente und das Essen waren auch wunderbar, aber besonders in Erinnerung bleibt uns die sympathische Bedienung. Vielen Dank und weiter so!🙌

Leider konnten wir nur das schöne äußere Ambiente der Burg und des angrenzenden Parks besichtigen. Trotz Öffnungszeiten ab 11:00 Uhr gibt es dort noch nichts zum Mittagessen. Im Netz als auch draußen am Eingang auf dem Schild steht: ab 11:00 Uhr warme Küche. Wir und noch noch zwei weitere Pärchen mussten aber mit dem Hinweis der Bedienung "die Küche öffnet erst ab ca. um 12:00 Uhr" ohne zu Essen wieder abfahren. Hier sollte einmal das Dienstleistungs-Konzept überarbeitet werden! Wenn ich ab 11:00 Uhr warme Speisen anbiete, dann kann es nicht sein, dass die Küche bis um 12 nur kalte Speisen und Getränke anbieten kann. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht und konnten die vielen guten Bewertungen zum Essen leider nicht erleben.
