Ich muss sagen mir hat mein Schnitzel mit Salzkartoffeln und Spargel geschmeckt.

War ein kurzer Stop ohne Besuch des Restaurants. Kurz Beine vertreten ist hier OK, aber man ist schnell durch.

Waren auf der Durchreise spontan zum Mittagessen da. Sehr schöne Terrasse mit Blick über den Burgpark mit Spielplatz. Das Essen (Spargel) war gut, aber nichts besonderes.

Schönes und zumindest bei unserem Besuch ruhiges Restaurant. Die lange Zeit bis das Essen kam, wie in einigen anderen Bewertungen zu lesen, war bei uns nicht. Alles in allem ca. 30 Minuten von der Bestellung bis zum servieren für 4 Personen. Preislich für das gebotene vielleicht etwas hoch, da das ein oder andere sehr nach Convenience aussah, aber das ist nur unser Eindruck. Leider ist die Zufahrt zum Parkplatz des Restaurants "Burgtypisch" über eine Kopfsteinpflasterstraße zu erreichen. Kurz gesagt, man wird gut durchgeschüttelt da es kein glattes Kopfsteinpflaster ist.

Nettes Restaurant mit einer guten Speisekarte. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Die Gerichte waren sehr schmackhaft.

Wunderschöne Burg, hervorragende Küche, Kellner u Kellnerin sehr nett, sehr gute Küche mit dem besten Fischgericht, das ich seit Jahren gegessen habe, 5sterne Ambiente, gerne Trinkgeld gegeben (alle Bestellungen hervorragend) besten Dank, auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.. Top danke

Wunderschönes Ambiente und sehr leckeres Essen. Wir werden in Zukunft öfter kommen.

Wir waren zu 2 mit unserem Hund dort, wir wurden zum Tisch begleitet und es wurde bevor wir uns setzen konnten gefragt ob wir für den Hund eine Wasserschale haben möchten, Top Service. Das Essen war suuper lecker, wir hatten vorweg eine Kokos Ingwer Möhren Suppe mit Lachs die genau unseren Geschmack getroffen hat. Meine Frau hatte ein Steak mit Beilagen was wie gewünscht "auf den Punkt" gegart war. Ich hatte eine Pilzpfanne mit Schweinemadallions die suuper lecker war. Eine tolle Location in der wir uns sehr wohl fühlten. Ich musste nur beim Service einen Stern abziehen weil der Wein meiner Frau und die Majo erst nachdem wir nachgefragt haben "geliefert" wurden..... allerdings kam gerade eine große Gruppe mit vielen Leuten direkt nach uns die den Service gefordert haben. Der Kellner hatte uns aber immer im Blick und hat sofort alles nachgereicht. Wir würden dort jederzeit wieder mit Freude einkehren und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Ritteressen für 2Personen gebucht, die Menge des Abendessens war ein Witz, haben mit fremden Gästen zu viert gesessen,die Fleischportionen reichten nicht einmal für drei wir haben dann Kasseler nachbestellt ,ein Witz für 55 Euro pP... die Veranstaltung war gut ,das Ambiente auch ,warum durch so eine Sache der Abend keinen guten Eindruck hinterlässt ist fraglich ,die uns fremden Gäste haben die Veranstaltung dann auch vorzeitig verlassen ,schade eigentlich..

Ich habe im Herbst auf der Terrasse ein Stück Kuchen gegessen und die Zeit genossen. Die Mitarbeiterin war ausgesprochen freundlich und zugewandt und Kuchen und Kaffee genau das Richtige für mich, vielen Dank .

Der Besuch war ein sehr positives Erlebnis

Wir waren mehrere Male hier und es hat uns gut gefallen. In der schönen, alten Burg von Neustadt-Glewe gelegen macht das Restaurant einen urigen Eindruck. Die Bedienung erfolgte sehr schnell und freundlich und das Essen war sehr gut. Laut Karte ist es einigermaßen vielseitig so dass wohl jedermann etwas findet. Auch guten Kaffee und Kuchen bekamen wir hier. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder. Im Innenbereich könnte ich mir mehr altes oder mittelalterliches Flair vorstellen aber da die gesamte Burg von jeher eher modern saniert wurde ist es wohl so auch I. O. Da sollte sich jeder selbst sein Bild machen. Ich empfehle allen die noch nicht da waren der Burg einen Besuch abzustatten. Auch einen der Märkte oder Veranstaltungen auf der Burg sollte man gesehen haben. Leider habe ich wenig Fotos aber zwei sind vom schönen, lichtergeschmückten Weihnachtsmarkt.

Es lief leise Hintergrundmusik, das Licht war perfekt gedimmt. Der Service sehr gelungen und es war einfach alles perfekt. Tolle Einrichtung. Das Steak genau bekommen wie ich es wollte (rare) und der Garnelenspieß auch sehr hübsch angerichtet. Am Salat eine tolle Vinaigrette. Alles sehr zu empfehlen. Parkplatz vor der Tür. Preise passend. Gern wieder

Nice restaurant, but unfortunately the food isn't worth the price. This has been mentioned here several times before. The solyanka was barely lukewarm with a dollop of heavy cream on top. The schnitzel with seasoned meat was completely convenience food. Absolutely unacceptable. You used to make the best schnitzel in the region in Neuhof. What a shame.

We ate there on All Saints' Day and were both full and satisfied. What more can I say? 👍

A wonderful ambiance with brick walls. Outside, there's also a lovely terrace overlooking the greenery. The menu is very varied and offers plenty for children. The highlight is the Duroc pork!

The side dishes were lukewarm, and the fried potatoes weren't even the least bit crispy. The side salad could also have used a bit more dressing. The schnitzel and the goat cheese risotto were very good.

The room was large, but unfortunately, we had to remove some cobwebs. The food was great. The service was also excellent.

Just like ten years ago, we held our 20th class reunion in the wine cellar of the castle restaurant. Mr. Mittelstädt and his team once again organized everything well and provided a delicious buffet, so we had another fantastic celebration.

On our way back from our vacation in Denmark, we passed through Glewe and wanted to have lunch at the Burg Restaurant. It was a weekday and quiet; there were three or four other guests in the restaurant with us. Upon entering, we politely asked if we could sit at a table on the terrace, as the weather was very nice on this Thursday in late September. They agreed, and we sat down. Then nothing happened. The other guests had finished and left the restaurant. My wife went to the bathroom, and still nothing happened. After 15 minutes, when we were the only guests in the restaurant, we left. The two staff members felt it was more important to just keep chatting. Welcome back to the service desert of Germany—no comparison to the friendliness we experienced in Denmark. I'm sure the service in this restaurant is usually good, but probably not on this day. What a shame!

It's quite nice...but they could do more with it. I specifically requested a candlelit dinner...unfortunately, we were seated at a random spot, even though there were hardly any guests on a Sunday evening. Too bad. The service was good.

We were very impressed by the menu and were looking forward to a lovely evening with delicious food. However, we were very disappointed. There were four of us, everyone had a different meal, and no one was happy. The chicken was tough, the schnitzel was inedible, and overall, the value for money was poor: there were lots of sides and not enough main courses. The service was also poor. We were asked for drinks once, and that was right at the beginning. We won't be coming back.

DON'T GO. Waiting over 1.5 hours for nursing home-quality food. Lukewarm hollandaise from a bucket. Simply awful.

Great atmosphere, service was okay. The drinks were a bit on the expensive side. The meat was good, but frozen vegetables weren't necessary.

Today we had a three-course dinner that we had booked together with our hotel reservation at the castle. Since the castle restaurant is closed on Mondays, we went to the castle restaurant. We had a limited selection, which unfortunately didn't quite appeal to us, so we were able to order something else for an additional €5 per main course. The spare ribs with sweet potatoes were okay, but I'm used to them falling off the bone, especially when the sauce is on the ribs. It's better to order them individually, since you eat them with your fingers anyway. The ribs could have been better seasoned and softer. The spaghetti aglio e olio with shrimp skewers were unfortunately not what we expected. The frozen shrimp skewer was lukewarm and neither seared nor seasoned. The spaghetti was also quite bland and almost unseasoned; there was a hint of garlic, but nothing more. A bit of a shame, as the atmosphere is quite nice. The dessert, a piece of plum cake, was actually the best part of the meal, apart from the drinks.

Price-performance ratio is right

The first impression was promising – the dishes looked really good. Unfortunately, in the end, I felt like I hadn't received adequate value for my money. I opted for the damsel's plate with chicken breast fillet – it sounded classy, but it felt more like a polite greeting from the appetizer kitchen. On the plate: A simple slice of toast, no trace of Parmesan (although advertised), half a tomato, some lettuce, half an avocado, a little bell pepper, and an egg. The taste was really good, no question – but the size was more for damsels on a diet. The service was also, let's say, discreetly reserved. Our waitress was obviously having one of those days when you'd rather make yourself invisible – a shame, because we would have loved to enjoy another coffee and a piece of cake. But unfortunately, that didn't happen – they were probably still on their way to our table. Conclusion: Delicious, but not enough. Friendliness is like Parmesan – it shouldn't be missing.

Mit meinen Sohn wurden wir Platziert und bekamen auch gleich die Speisekarte. Aber Dann:Nach 10 Minuten kam ein Paar und setzte sich hinter uns.Weitere 5 Minuten kam dann endlich ein Kellner und nahm die Bestellung der nach uns platzierten Gäste auf.Ich machte Ihn darauf Aufmerksam,das wir vor diesen Gästen anwesend waren.Mit einem verschmitztem Lächeln sagte er,das er gleich wiederkomme. Nach weiteren 8 Minuten verarsche sind wir gegangen und mussten feststellen,das der Kellner sich angeregt mit russischen Gästen unterhielt.Nach dreimaligen Besuch,werden wir nicht wiederkommen.

Delicious food and great service

Very nice - everything was perfect - of course the rain drove us there... BUT TOP

High rating solely because the food and beer were excellent. Unfortunately, this is also the place where I experienced perhaps the worst waiter service. After confirming that the place was staffed, I waited 20 minutes to receive a menu. Then, no one came to take my order. After placing my order at the bar, I received a wonderful sirloin with sides. After finishing my beer, no one asked if I wanted another. An empty plate wasn't removed from the table nearly half an hour after finishing my meal. Finally, I ordered a coffee, reminding them three times that I wanted a double espresso with hot water. Of course, it arrived in a regular-sized double. On the plus side, there's a beautiful view of the garden and the restaurant, set in a former castle. If the service were better, I'd gladly give it a 5* rating, but for now, this is a place for people with plenty of time and healthy nerves.

The food looked good. I don't think I got enough value for my money. A small portion of sweet potato fries with chicken schnitzel and some greens for 22.50. Unfortunately, I expected something different. The service staff was okay, but unfortunately, they weren't seen often enough.

Very tasty 😋. We had the hamburger schnitzel and the chicken schnitzel. Both were really good. The side dishes like salads, fried potatoes, and sweet potato fries are also really good. Despite it being a holiday and not having a reservation, we didn't have to wait long. And the staff is extremely friendly 😊

The ambiance has the charm of a cowshed, and the food—we had schnitzel with side dishes, at prices well over €20 per portion—wasn't worth it. Simple snack food, nothing more. We were disappointed and really expected more atmosphere, the bare premises. The staff was very nice, but they can't replace good food. Either lower the prices or raise the quality.

A culinary highlight in Neustadt-Glewe! Our visit to the Burg Restaurant Neustadt-Glewe was a true culinary experience! It was clear from the first bite: the cooking here is done with passion and of the highest quality. I was particularly impressed by the Ratsherren beer, which I was able to try for the first time - a real surprise! The full-bodied taste and the perfect match to the delicious dishes made the evening even more special. The food was consistently excellent, from starters to dessert. Each course impressed with its finely balanced flavors and was served with great attention to detail. The dessert in particular was the crowning glory – simply perfect! The service also deserves high praise: attentive, friendly and absolutely professional. It was an absolutely wonderful evening that I would happily repeat at any time. Nice restaurant in the castle courtyard. Rustic but cozy outdoor space with a beautiful view. We just ate a little something and drank a red beer. Both delicious.

We had the schnitzel and the tomahawk from Duroc. It was very good, to the point. The service was very friendly and old school in a positive sense. You really can't argue with value for money. You can also sit comfortably outside and then have an overview of the spacious castle grounds. Overnight stays are also offered here, but I didn't take advantage of them. A big thumbs up!👍

Yeah.. one thing is quite ok 👍 Very modern cutlery...I think it's a shame for a castle restaurant.

I was there with my family and I ordered a tomahawk steak and it was ok, the salad and the potatoes were very tasty but the meat was far too dry and has nothing to do with tomahawk steak. The schnitzel we also ordered was also far too dry and that's why I don't recommend the restaurant. The waiters were also very strange because they couldn't speak German at all and I didn't understand anything So not recommended, the kebab nearby actually tastes better

We were more than disappointed! I absolutely NOT recommend this restaurant. The mushroom pan consisted of very dry pork medallions, canned mushrooms and packaged sauce. The roulades were also very dry, the Brussels sprouts served with them were frozen, as were the potatoes. The spareribs were complete! unseasoned and here too the side dishes are frozen. For a snack bar it would have been just ok, but for these 3 dishes and 2 beers 130€ I think it's absolutely cheeky. Especially since we all let our food go back. We were asked whether it was tasty, but the answer that the meat and the sauce were inedible was not answered. No apology or anything like that either. Going to the toilet at the end rounded things off, it was very dirty, toilet paper was all over the floor in the entrance area, dirty mirrors, etc. Although there was nothing going on, only 4 of the 20 tables were occupied. Total failure!

We were guests at the castle this afternoon. The ambience is quite nice so far. Unfortunately that was the only positive thing about our visit. As a starter there was a solyanka. The taste was okay, but the solyanka was much warmer than ice cream. It was lukewarm at best. The main course was the mushroom pan. The pork medallions were well fried and tender and the fried potatoes were ok. The sauce with the champions were really very terrible. From my point of view, the sauce wasn't made fresh, but rather from a package. The quality of our other guests wasn't much better. Frozen chicken schnitzel with frozen sweet potato fries with mayo and a dash of lemon are really not a culinary highlight. Price-performance ratio is absolutely not right here. I don't like paying over 60 euros for frozen goods for two people. When clearing up, people asked if everything was OK. When I said that the sauce and mushrooms were very bad, I only received an OK. You can save yourself the question if you ignore the answer anyway. Of course, you won't be served at the table to pay, but you have to go to the counter yourself and pay there. We were there shortly after opening. The dirty floor was hard to miss. If the cleanliness in the dining room is so bad, then I wonder what the rest of the restaurant is like. Absolutely no recommendation from me. I wouldn't call the place a restaurant because it was really, really bad. From the service, to the food and the basic cleanliness.

Aufgrund der früheren Bewertungen hatte ich ein gespaltenes Gefühl, es war gut mich nicht auf die Bewertungen zu verlassen. Das bestellte Schnitzel hatte vom Geschmack der Zusammenstellung des Gerichts nichts mit einem Kantinenessen gemeinsam. Ein Schnitzel in einer Kantine sieht übrigens auf einem Teller genauso aus wie ein Schnitzel das frisch in der Pfanne heraus gebraten wurde. Einzig der Geschmack macht den Unterschied, und der ist vorhanden beim Schnitzel bei der selbst gemachten Sauce Hollandaise und letztendlich bei der Zusammenstellung des Desserts das die Idee der Küche wiederspiegelt. Das Preisniveau sehe ich mehr als gerechtfertigt an, obwohl das ritterliche Burgambiente eine ganz andere Preiskategorie vermuten läßt. Das Restaurant lädt mit einer gut bürgerlichen Speisekarte und den dazu passenden Preisen ein. Wer einen Gastrotempel aufgrund des Ambiente erwartet wird enttäuscht sein, und dann vermutlich aus dieser übersteigerten Warte von Kantinenessen sprechen. Ich hoffe das mehr Gäste das Bild dieses in meinen Augen falsch bewerteten Restaurants gerade rücken.

It was my first time eating in the castle. The food was great, but I didn't like the ambience. A more rustic interior would look nicer, everything would like to be made chic. It's a shame, we had hoped for more. But tastes are different. Unfortunately we won't be repeat offenders here.

Everything was just right here! The service is really good. The food was super delicious. The band did a really good job with their entertainment! Unfortunately the audience had a stick up their ass so the artist had a lot of trouble creating a good atmosphere. I was really excited and I'll definitely be back!
