Very tasty food, at least the soup of the day and the fillet. Very friendly service, was also able to give very good advice. Atmosphere is very pleasant, everything seems very well maintained but still old-fashioned. We recommend the terrace, great view, not too windy, quiet. Conclusion: We drive (60 km one way) to this restaurant every quarter because we really like it. You have to eat here at least once.

A simple dish like currywurst surprised. Homemade fries, incredibly tasty and quality sausages. Ham salad was superb and served with a delicious toasted bread. Good service, good prices!

The food is phenomenal. However, the service has potential for optimization. Wait 5 minutes at the entrance until the reserved place is assigned. The main course comes directly after the first course and is served while the plates from the starter are still being cleared away. A complaint will be made. dismissed with “misunderstanding in the kitchen”. The second complaint leads to the promise of a free cafe...which then appeared on the bill. And the “how did you like it with us” email from me the next day was clearly written negatively. There has been no response to date. Then why the question???

We came to this beautiful place and were warmly welcomed. The food was really tasty and we also had a great dessert. We'll be back. :)

A beer garden in the immediate vicinity of the medieval castle with a large, inviting terrace and a great view of the valley invites you to stop off. We were offered a place at a table without a reservation because we only wanted to have a quick drink for 30 minutes. We ordered; However, they were asked to leave the table again after just 3 minutes. The guests with reservations arrived half an hour early. When we asked where we should drink the drinks we had ordered, we (4 people) were directed to a table without seats, where we had to organize the seating from other tables ourselves. To the displeasure of the service manager, we said no and left. Despite the really great ambience, the service seemed very disorganized and also not able to cope with the volume of tourists. Too bad!

Great restaurant in a working dream location. In one direction you can see the castle and in the other there is a great view of Marburg. The food tastes fantastic and the service is a grade 1, very friendly and accommodating. An absolutely successful evening in great weather!

I was completely taken for a ride. I ordered a Lillet Wild Berry, they brought me a Hugo on ice with lime. I complained about this, the drink was taken away and the same thing came back with berries. There were even Hugo's limes in there. I complained about this again. The drink went back and what came back, the same drink without lime. I complained about this again when paying. And how much did the fun cost 11 euros. Unbelievable and the service was a disaster. My complaint was not taken seriously. Oh the Hugo should only cost 9.50 euros. Sad. I imagine service to be different.

We were with a group on the terrace. The location is really nice with a great view. Unfortunately the seating was quite uncomfortable. Service was friendly but slow. We had to wait a long time, especially for the first order and to pay. Some of the food was very good, but some of it was just good and the price/performance ratio wasn't right. While the veal schnitzel is recommended, the flank steak is more a matter of luck. Three people ordered a flank steak (250g). The size of the three steaks were completely different from large and thick to medium but completely thin. Accordingly, my steak, for example, did not meet my desired level of doneness, but was too well-done. Given the price level, I would have expected salt and pepper to be on the tables as standard. When it comes to starters, you should remember that the papaya cold bowl is served in a mini terrine. Overall, the restaurant is certainly worth a visit, but you need a bit of luck and time for a successful visit.

A very nice location. The food was good, the service was sometimes friendly. It all took quite a long time. The four of us ate for over €300. My large portion of spare ribs came with two slices of baguette. I ordered some more bread. However, this only came long after I had finished eating and on the plate of my companion, who had ordered a second dish.

Very nice restaurant with lots of outside seating. However, you have to reserve in advance. We chose the indoor area because it was very warm that day and it is air conditioned. We ordered a 3-course menu, where you could choose from 2 starters, a main course and desserts. Everything was super tasty and very fresh. The employees are all very nice and friendly. We felt we were in good hands and will definitely come back. 👍

Very nice atmosphere and terrific view down to the valley and town from the top of the hill, just below the castle. Food was excellent, service was unfortunately not great. They have a variety of options, and a meat-focused part of the menu. Possible to drive up and park at the castle (free parking), although google maps does not show the right way.

I spent a great birthday here with my family. Delicious lunch in a cozy atmosphere with a view of the entire city. We all felt so comfortable in the beer garden that we spontaneously stayed longer and ate homemade strawberry cake from the tray. Summary: Not a run-of-the-mill restaurant, but selected, high-quality dishes. We'll definitely be back!

Was I just in Vienna or in Marburg??? Of course we ordered apple cider rosé, and as a starter there was a spring salad with baked oyster mushrooms, nuts and crispy bread cubes! The view is unforgettable, the late sun plays along! When the Wiener Schnitzel arrived, I was surprised and almost lifted out of my chair! Airy, melt-in-your-mouth veal, perfectly seasoned and let me just say one thing, the marinated cucumber salad was a dream! Plus, of course, cranberries and the mashed potatoes with a hint of butter that you could smell!!! The boys know what they are doing!!! For the quality and the property the price performance is definitely ok! Terrace well maintained and the view is unique! Service, the boys were a bit lively and confused, but they made up for it all with a smile and charm!🥰 Regular waiters are always on their toes and take orders! Well full, I was persuaded to try a baked walnut waffle with homemade ice cream, I couldn't say no! And then it was brought, waffle fresh and nutty, homemade yoghurt ice cream and peanut ice cream, melty but not too sweet! Dear team, you did everything right, keep it up! Will definitely come back! Excellent experience! Our evening in the restaurant was great. Leo greeted us warmly at the door, took our jackets and personally led us to the best table. Drinks were served promptly, water service was attentive, and our order was taken smoothly. A charming young lady, who was on her first day, confidently and courteously brought us a basket of bread. The kitchen surprised us with a delicious amuse-gueule. Jakob was always at our disposal and the entire team was extremely attentive and courteous. The kitchen treated us to exquisite dishes, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. We can highly recommend this restaurant and the entire team. So far I have only ever taken a break on the cozy terrace of the Bückingsgarten on the way to the castle. That was always great and the view is priceless anyway. Today was my first time inside and eating there. You come in and feel comfortable. The ambience with the integrated, rustic wall and the cozy details, a few pillows here, a comfortable armchair there, the lighting... very loving and beautiful. The toilets shouldn't go unmentioned either. Very nice and very clean. But…….., the food……. simply TOP! The Wiener Schnitzel was a dream, I would like the recipe for the cucumber salad and the puree rounds it all off. Super tasty and you can taste that everything is freshly prepared. But now to the staff… I have rarely experienced such friendly, attentive and courteous staff. A big compliment to everyone. Always eye contact, always a smile on your face, every move is perfect. You get the feeling that everyone is having fun and here the guest is truly king. So it's worth not just sitting on the terrace, but also going inside. Clear recommendation ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The staff is very rude. It seems like they just hired a local gangster and used it. They didn't give us a regular menu, just a special menu. Customers who came later than us were served food first. The bread came out very cold. It didn't say there was cucumber in the salad, but it did. Even after an hour and a half of ordering, the main dish did not arrive. I ordered a full course meal, but they didn't clear the dishes in a timely manner. He never asked me how I liked the food and never said sorry for the food coming out late. If you want to spend money, waste time, and feel bad, give it a try.

Denach mussten wir fest stellen (Besuch von 9 Personen), ein gutes Ambiente hat nichts immer mit guter Küche zu tun. Ein Kellner weniger dafür ein Koch mehr in der Küche ,könnte unter dieser Stresssituation vielleicht eine Hilfe sein. Essen ist teilweise zurück gegangen.

Tolles Restaurant in historischem Ambiente. Wir waren mit ein paar Arbeitskollegen hier zu Abend essen. Das Flank-Stake mit Beilagen war lecker. Wir hatten absolut nichts zu meckern, wir waren alle vom guten Essen überzeugt. Das Ambiente hat das Essen nochmal getoppt 😎

Die Umgebung und das Ambiente sind beeinduckend. Das Restaurant ist wunderschön und edel eingereicht. Leider konnte die Qualität der Services nicht ganz mithalten. Sie waren freundlich aber das gewisse Etwas hat gefehlt. Es fehlten Servietten zum Essen, Kellerbier wurde im Glas mit Sprung serviert ...

Das Restaurant Bückingsgarten befindet sich direkt am Landgrafen Schloss in Marburg. Die Aussicht von hier oben ist einfach traumhaft. Das Restaurant besticht neben dem passenden Burgambiente durch eine große Terrasse, die bei schönem Wetter zu einer gemütlichen Rast einläd. Die Speisekarte ist preislich vielleicht auf den ersten Blick nichts für jedermann, aber wer hier ein Essen bestellt wird feststellen, dass sich jeder Euro gelohnt hat. Uns hat aber nicht nur die hohe Qualität der Speisen überzeugt, sondern auch der hervorragenden Service. Das Ambiente mit Blick für das Detail rundet einen Besuch im Bücklingsgarten ab. Von uns also eine klare Empfehlung!

It's my favourite restaurant in Marburg. It's uphill from the town, so be prepared to walk but the views from here are worth it. They've got a limited menu but the food is great. You'll get a nice historical vibe eating here.

Während unseres Urlaubs haben wir dieses Restaurant besucht. Haben einen Kaffee und ein Eis mit 3 Kugeln bestellt. Positiv: Eis und Kaffee waren lecker und die Aussicht sehr schön. Negativ: - Längere Wartezeit für den Kaffee. Andere die nach uns kamen, erhielten ihren früher. Auf Nachfrage beim Kellner wurde man geduzt (obwohl er uns nicht kannte) und die Begründung, Kaffeemaschine würde spinnen. - Freundlichkeit beim Kellner leider nicht vorhanden. - Auf dem Tisch lag keine Preisliste für das Eis und als wir bezahlen wollten, waren wir schockiert!!! 3 Kugeln Eis, ohne Sahne, für 10,50 € ist unverschämt!!! Es ist uns klar, dass alle Ihre Preise angezogen haben, aber dieser Preis ist eine Frechheit!!! - Erst ab 20,- € ist Kartenzahlung möglich. Unverständlich, denn selbst beim Bäcker kann man in der heutigen Zeit für kleines Geld mit der Karte bezahlen. Daher leider keine Weiterempfehlung!!!

Wir haben unsere kirchliche Hochzeit im Restaurant Bückingsgarten gefeiert. Schon die Betreuung vor der Hochzeit war sehr professionell und super strukturiert. Wir haben uns dabei schon sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Am Hochzeitstag haben alle Zahnräder ineinander gegriffen und wir haben eine erstklassige Betreuung vom Team im Bückingsgarten bekommen. Der Service war professionell und sehr freundschaftlich. Das Essen und die Getränke waren sehr lecker und all unsere Gäste waren hochzufrieden. Die Atmosphäre im Bückingsgarten ist unschlagbar. Wir freuen uns auf die nächsten Male, wenn wir auf ein Schnitzel vorbeikommen und uns vor Ort an die Hochzeit erinnern können. Wir bedanken uns herzlich und können eine klare Weiterempfehlung aussprechen.

We used to be regular at this restaurant and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. But today I was really disappointed with the small portion and the overly priced food which was very salty. At the end they had even calculated more than what we should pay. You ve lost us as customers.

Auf der Terrasse im Bücklingsgarten zu essen ist eine sehr feine Sache. Nicht nur dass man sehr leckeres Essen serviert bekommt, nicht nur, dass man sehr nett bedient wird, sondern man bekommt als Sahnehäubchen auch noch einen wunderbaren Blick auf Marburg geschenkt.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Wartezeit von 40 Minuten ist absolut im Rahmen, zudem es wirklich frisch zubereitet wird (schmeckt man einfach). Die Preise sind dementsprechend hoch. Die Aussicht ist sehr schön. Ein ganz großes Lob gibt es an ,,unseren" Kellner. Der Name ist mir nicht bekannt, aber durch seine professionelle und freundliche Art sticht er deutlich vor seinen Kollegen hervor. So einen Kellner findet man selten! Ordentlich gekleidet und gepflegt! Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es leider für den anderen Kellner. Dieser war zwar auch sehr nett, aber sein Outfit bzgl. der Hose (die dezent zu kurz war) und der abgenutzten weiß/blau/grünen Turnschuhe, passte leider absolut gar nicht in diese Preisklasse ;) Gibt schlimmeres, aber in solchen Restaurants passt das einfach nicht. Dennoch wie bereits erwähnt, kommen wir gerne wieder!

Leider war der letzte Besuch eine Enttäuschung. Wir waren um die Mittagszeit im Restaurant. Der Kellner hat die schmutzigen Gläser erst abgeräumt als wir schon fast fertig waren mit dem essen. Wir hatten den Sommersalat mit Pilzen. Die Pilze waren sehr salzig und das fruchtige sommerliche kam geschmacklich leider gar nicht durch. Ich hatte die Spaghetti mit Pilzen und die erste Portion war leider versalzen. Die zweite Portion war besser jedoch nicht vergleichbar mit der Qualität vom letzten Jahr. Preislich sehe ich fast 40 Euro für einen Salat und eine Portion Spaghetti nur dann als gerechtfertigt wenn die Qualität stimmt. Ich hoffe das war eine negative Momentaufnahme und beim nächsten Besuch ist die Qualität wieder wie gewohnt sehr gut.

Die Essen die vollständig ausgeliefert wurden waren sehr gut. Mit der Ergänzung der fehlenden Komponenten in einigen Essen dauerte zu lange. Dafür gab es zum Abschluss für alle ein Wunschgetränk. Der Service war freundlich und kompetent.

Ambiente wirklich sehr schön, aber über den Service kann man nur den Kopf schütteln. Kommen mit ranwinken endlich mal nach einer Ewigkeit an den Tisch und ziehen dann noch ein Gesicht wie 7 Tage Regenwetter. Wenn man schon so viel für ein Bier bezahlt möchte man wenigstens freundlich empfangen werden. Das Trinkgeld haben wir uns ausnahmsweise Mal gespart.

Schönes Restaurant auf dem Berg in Marburg direkt am bzw fast im Schloss gelegen. Nach einem schönen Aufstieg durch die Gassen wurden wir mit Sekt und Bier erfrischt. Die Innenräume sind gemütlich. Das Essen war gut, die Portionsgrößen für ein Firmenevent allerdings teilweise zu klein. Vorspeisenmischung sehr gut, Rinderfilet auch sehr gut, Fisch nur mittelmäßig.

Edit Juli 2023 Mein Partner und ich waren gestern Abend erneut da und haben ein wunderbares Essen genossen. Ein köstliches Tatar mit fein abgestimmten Komponenten und geröstetem Brot gab es zur Vorspeise, butterzartes Fleisch mit kräftiger Jus oder raffinierter Butter zum Hauptgang. Einzig bei der Auswahl an Nachspeisen hat uns nichts so richtig angesprochen. Das Essen war aber auch ohne süßes Ende ein Gaumenschmaus. Ein Lob geht auch an den Service. Wir hatten eine sehr freundliche Bedienung, die mir sowohl eine leckere Weinmpfehlung gab, als auch im richtigen Moment da war, um zu fragen, ob alles schmeckt/man noch einen Wunsch hat. So soll’s sein 😊 daher dieses Mal fünf Sterne ⭐️ 2019 - Wir waren mit 9 Personen da und im Innenraum vermutlich auf Grund der heißen Temperaturen fast alleine. Trotzdem mussten wir sehr lange auf Essen und Getränke warten. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und sauber. Das Essen hat ebenfalls eine sehr gute Qualität. Den Abzug gibt es für den Service. Neben der Wartezeit wurden falsche Getränke gebracht (wurde natürlich korrigiert, das kann Mal passieren), eine Vorspeise wurde vergessen und der Austausch einer Gemüse-Beilage (Lauch) war auf Nachfrage nicht möglich. Das finde ich bei einem Restaurant im gehobenen Stil schon sehr schade. Da es im Endeffekt eine Pfanne mit Garnelen und Lauch war, ist das gewissermaßen nachvollziehbar, aber man hätte durchaus anbieten können die Garnelen anders zuzubereiten. Warum das nicht geht ist mir ein Rätsel, denn vegetarische und Kinderspeisen werden laut Karte ausschließlich auf Nachfrage zubereitet. Das Lauchgemüse war dann auch noch sehr knackig. Der Hinweis wurde aufgenommen und man wollte es der Küche ausrichten. Weiterhin wurde darauf aber nicht reagiert. Über den Abend verteilt hatten wir vier verschiedene Kellner. Manche waren freundlich, andere schienen etwas lustlos, wenn auch immer höflich. Bei so einer tollen Örtlichkeit und gutem Essen würde ein passender Service locker für fünf Sterne reichen. Vielleicht haben wir diesbezüglich einen schlechten Tag erwischt. Schade.

Wir haben hier sehr gut gegessen und getrunken. Wir saßen auf der schönen Terrasse mit Blick auf Marburg. Der Service freundlich und flott trotz hohem Gästeaufkommen. Die Preise sind meines Erachtens aufgrund der sehr guten Qualität gerechtfertigt. Es kommen viele regionale Produkte zum Einsatz. Wir hatten den Wildkräutersalat mit Poulardenbrust sowie den Hessischen Wurstsalat. Beide Gerichte waren geschmacklich hervorragend. Insgesamt daher völlig verdiente 5 Sterne.
