My friend invited me over to eat grilled chicken, but honestly, it wasn't good. My friend paid for nothing. I don't recommend visiting him.

It tastes absolutely awful and they weren't accommodating when I asked about it - hygiene is so-so.

Everything was fine, but the staff were very rude.

Food, 90% of the menu not available. Owner/manager is very rude. Space is not clean and unsafe. payment is just cash, the owners behavior was very disrespectful…! If you don’t have cash please don’t come here, because The payment is always just cash.

Came here early morning as it was near our hotel. Kebab was nice but all the boys were ill for days after. I was violently sick and on the toilet all day the following day and had cramps and pains several days following. Avoid.

This Syrian Restaurant : Al Baraka , ( which its arabic name , means in the english language : The Blessing ), in the heart of the City of Munich , The Capital of the free State of Bavaria , in Germany , is a wonderful place for me , to eat my preferred delicious Syrian Sandwiches that I have used always to eat , when I was living in Syria , Such as : the chicken shawarma sandwich , the beef liver sandwich , the beef shawarma sandwich , the shish taouk sandwich . It has also dishes with rice and chicken meat 🍗 and salads 🥗 and frites 🍟, but I take always my preferred Syrian Sandwiches , which are the reason , that I come repeatedly to this restaurant , for it . So many tables , chairs , and a place to wash the hands before and after eating the meal , a toilette , good prices , and a good food quality , make from this restaurant a very good choice always to eat in it .

This review does not refer to the quality and taste of the food—that's a matter of taste and therefore probably best rated with 3 stars. If you like a lot of salad dressing and fries in your chicken sandwich, you'll find what you're looking for here. The two stars result from the following: 1) I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and thought it looked like the picture (in a kind of hot dog bun). However, "similar to the picture" probably applies here. In fact, I received what is called a dürüm in Turkish, a kind of wrap. Many people find this delicious and it's probably the most popular dish in the shop; but I wanted something different. 2) The crispy chicken sandwich is listed as €7 on the price board. I was charged €7.50. There could be several reasons for this, which I can only speculate about: (i) Inflation: prices have risen and the board hasn't been updated yet; (ii) "Personalized pricing": different customers are charged different amounts for the products offered. In my case, the cashier might have thought, "I'll charge that guy with the fancy coat 50 cents more; he won't notice." Perhaps a poor student is then charged 50 cents less? That sounds fair and authentic. It corresponds to the experience one has as a European tourist in some Arab holiday resorts. In Germany, this type of "personalized pricing" is not yet very common, or at least is not practiced so blatantly and without notice; (iii) it could simply have been an oversight when returning the change. However, since other customers have also reported this phenomenon, I decided to write this review, as there is a trend toward "personalized pricing." Conclusion: You don't feel very welcome in this snack bar.

I always eat chicken with rice here and it is delicious and cheap

Food is pretty mid. Guy at the register will try and swindle you out of a few more euros than what it should cost while berating you. Only reason it's busy is because it's open later than the other shops around it. Won't go back.

The shawarma is burnt on the fire. The food needs to be improved. More than this. The prices are reasonable for everyone.

Yesterday I was at Al Baraka Restaurant during October Fest and they were selling a shawarma sandwich for 10 euros while the price was 8 euros. He thought I was a stranger to the city and I'm not from Munich. We didn't say anything and said it was okay. However, the meat was undercooked and the shop owner's manner was disrespectful. In the end, based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend it at all.

I’ve spent years in the Middle East, and this place is nothing compared to the food and service you get there. Such a crap hole. At least they gave me my money back. They just gave me my money back because they took too long to make my Schwarma. The worst place I’ve been internationally.

I had the worst meat shawarma I've ever eaten in my life. The sandwich was a third of a quarter full of vegetables and also without salt. The worst experience. Also, the price is very exaggerated.

There was little meat. The rest consisted of pepperoni, cucumber, something red that looked like watermelon, lettuce, and sauce. It had little to do with a classic kebab. Very subpar. Cost €9. Service rather poor.

Over priced. Went there at 10pm and they had no beef left, only chicken. Asked for rice and was given fries. My girlfriend asked for the crispy chicken sandwich and was given a wrap which looked nothing like what was pictured on the board. The chicken was OK not great. Garlic sauce was not very garlicy.

So, my cousin ordered this Chernobyl shawarma. When I tried it, my cousin ended up tied up in the basement. What they did to us with this shawarma is pure physical assault. I also suffered psychological damage as a result. All in all, I'll give you another €20 so you never deliver again. Best, Irnes

Literally a very bad restaurant, very annoying, and they tell you they don't accept cards, only cash. They are supposed to warn the customer before eating. You ask him why there is no card, and he tells you we are a backward restaurant. Even the way he responded is ugly. The employee's name is Abu Saeed, as he said, a young man in his forties, short, with thin hair.

Unfortunately, I had two very bad experiences at the "Al Baraka" restaurant in Munich. The first time I was there with friends. We ordered food that took a very long time to arrive – and when it finally arrived, it was undercooked and tasted disappointing. For the price we paid, the quality of the food was absolutely unacceptable. We could barely eat it. The second time, I was out with friends; we wanted to go out to eat together. I entered the restaurant shortly before them because I urgently needed to use the restroom. Before I could order anything, the owner came, opened the restroom door while I was inside, and loudly scolded me for "using the restroom without ordering." I did, however, want to order something, along with my friends. I found this behavior disrespectful and very unpleasant. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant at all – neither for the food nor for the way the customers were treated.

The chicken was really well seasoned. The garlic sauce was also really good.

We ordered the small one, I swear to God the amount of meat in it was maybe only 50 grams, and the meat in the sandwich should be 150 grams. Today I was here in this restaurant and ordered two shawarma sandwiches and a plate of potatoes. A small shawarma sandwich costs six euros, a large one nine euros. I ordered the small one and a plate of potatoes. I swear, the plate of potatoes weighed 50 grams and cost four euros. I couldn't get enough of the shawarma. If I give it to you, my little brother won't get enough of it. This is a fraudulent and scammy restaurant.

Visited today for dinner and tried their Chicken Shawarma and Broast. The flavors were good, though the broast was slightly oily. Overall, it was a decent experience, but the seating arrangement was not suitable for families.

Thats was worst fried chicken i ever eat!! Probably it was there for 2-3 days! They warn it and give me under table. Yes they warn it in undertable. Half chicken was 8 euro i wanted it with little rise and cola zero all total 15 euro? How? 🤦‍♂️ Only yogurt was good. I will never come here again. Sorry!!

Unfortunately, there are a lot of negative comments here. I have good experiences. We were on the way to the train station. We wanted something for on the go. We saw there were a lot of guests the day before so we thought we'd give it a try. The service was very nice. Everything was fresh and clean. We had liver with rice to take away. And I can say with a clear heart, it was very, very tasty. The portion was big and we didn't pay much. We will definitely come back if we go there again.

I ordered takeaway chicken here and unfortunately had a very bad experience. Even though the grill was there and I paid for the food, the grill wasn't turned on. The chicken was old and tasted very bad. Additionally, the seller was very rude and aggressive. I definitely won't recommend this place.

Unfortunately very bad. Ordered Lieferando/Wolt once and never again... Shawarma wasn't a real shawarma, it was really just a small and overpriced kebab. (Also delivered incorrectly, chicken instead of beef...) and I still ask myself today why it took over 50 minutes to prepare a kebab :/

The shawarma was ok, although you could expect a lot more for €9. But hygiene and cleanliness get 0 stars. I have never seen such an uncleaned and dirty restaurant. The kebab chef grabs a drink in front of the door and then it's off to the spit without washing his hands...

I ordered a shawarma yesterday and was disappointed. I waited almost 15 minutes even though I was one of the first to order. The ordering system at the store is poorly thought out. Names are shouted and if you don't hear it, the order is simply given to someone else. The man making the shawarma touched raw chicken in front of me and, without changing his gloves, just went ahead and touched everything else. Some of the meat in the shawarma was still raw. You stand in a completely overcrowded queue while music is playing loudly. Price performance is also questionable. Overall it was very hectic, unhygienic and without a system. Orders are taken endlessly without you being able to keep up.

Two days ago, I was traveling from Berlin to Munich for the purpose of tourism, and I and my family ate in the restaurant. I paid 65 euros in the account. Two days later, my family and I returned to have dinner with them. After a tiring travel from Austria, my family preceded me to the restaurant. After I parked the car, I entered the restaurant before my family and greeted the workers in the restaurant. Two of the workers were busy and only one worker answered the greeting. It seemed that the young men were busy and did not hear that I greeted them and went directly to the bathroom to wash my hands. The same worker who returned the greeting called out to him in a loud voice and said to me, “Where are you going?” I told him, “I want to wash my hands.” He said, “No.” Non-customers are allowed to enter the bathroom, and when I heard these words from him, I did not tell him. I wanted to wash my hands and wait for the family to enter until I ordered dinner. He was a man who was unfortunately treated poorly and lacked morals and values.

I do not know what the reason is when you give a restaurant a negative evaluation because of an apparent omission or shortcoming that happened to you. It may be real and it actually happened with the customer. The owner of the restaurant or the supervisor of the comments attacks you and accuses you of pushing the restaurant, the intruder, and the customer to other restaurants. I hope that the person responsible for the comments learns how to respond to negative comments. With a kind word, for example, please, come back again, and you are right. It seems that the restaurant owner lacks the language of dialogue.

When ordering delivery, they try to minimize the standard sides as much as possible and take advantage that you are away and can‘t do anything about it. I ordered a grilled chicken which normally comes with garlic Sauce , Pickels, bread…etc. what I got is only a tasteless dry chicken warped in a foil and thats it!! No bread no vegetables no sauce. NOTHING. Just a lonely chicken. I can easily say this is my worst delivery order ever in munich.
