Terrible service. Waiters told me he has no time to bring us our order-bread. Waited one hour for food Then he started to shout at me when I told him we are waiting one hour for food. He said it’s not his problem and has no time to serve us

We had a wonderful meal and drink of course. The service is great. If you want to feel truly valued as a guest again, you have to go to Brechts.

I took part in the steak tasting. Everything from start to finish was very tasty and sufficient. Courteous and nice service. Relaxed atmosphere. Can be recommended 😉

Steak tasting in 3 courses with 6 types of meat. The food was really delicious and the food was of very good quality. The service was very attentive and incredibly friendly. We spent almost 4 hours there and went home full and satisfied. Can definitely recommend it. One point deducted (complaining at a high level) because we only had 5 varieties and some of the pieces were very small. The starters and dessert were also very tasty.

A mediocre experience. We had the steak tartare beforehand, which was well seasoned and set the bar very high. As a main course we had the dry aged ribeye. It was not stated how long it had matured. We had a steak of 300 grams, which was perhaps a bit too much after the tartare. I am not unfamiliar with the taste of dry aged meat, but unfortunately it was not entirely what I expected. The meat was quite fine on some drier and slightly roasted pieces. Next time I would order the regular ribeye here. The service was very fast and not unfriendly. So more than enough.

Experience overall was fair. Previously we both had the Steak tartare, which had a delicious taste and a good size (quite large). That does create an expectation for the main course. We both opted for the RibEye (dryaged), unfortunately this meat had not yet matured in the cupboard as long as we had thought. Service was ok, but given the price of the result I expected more. O

We received this visit from our children for Christmas and today was the day. Our meal was so incredibly delicious that we regretted being full. The staff is super sweet and nice. We really felt very comfortable. In any case, we would love to come back

We booked the steak tasting and were very disappointed. There wasn't even a greeting or explanation of the process, nothing was explained about the meat and its preparation (as advertised) and you didn't sit together as a group. It was like normal eating out, everyone at their table and only different types of meat were served. The meat/food itself was very good, and the staff was friendly too. But the expectations of a tasting were not met.

Wir waren zu einem 4 Gang Menü im Brecht. Alles in allem war es ein total toller Abend. Es hat einfach alles gepasst. Ein ganz toller zuvorkommender Service, das Essen war spitzenmäßig. Man kann dieses Lokale absolut weiter empfehlen. Nicht verständlich sind die hier negativen Kommentare. Konnte man in keinster Weise bestätigen. Wir möchten uns bei Team des Brechts nochmal sehr bedanken, für diesen für uns spitzenmäßigen Abend. Danke!!!

I went to today Steak tasting there. 3 courses, 6 types of meat. The tartare and the carpaccio were impeccable. But then it stopped. My rump steak had such a thick tendon that it was impossible to eat. So I wonder how the steak was cut that has such a tendon in it. The rip eye...hmm what makes a rip eye, the fat eye in the middle. Wasn't there, not a bit. And the crowning glory of the story, the Aged Rip Eye. Again without fat eye and CUT WITH THE FIBER. From the chef personally. What does he actually do for a living? I don't know, maybe as a chef I'm a little spoiled. But something like that doesn't work at all.

We had set out for a cozy evening and had actually made a reservation at the permanent representation next door. Unfortunately our table had already been given away and it was incredibly crowded and loud even though Nancy Faeser had just arrived. So we looked for something else, Brecht's steakhouse near the Berlin ensemble was an option. We were very impressed by the ambience, the peace, the friendliness and the great food. Thank you for the wonderful hours and culinary delights🤗 gladly again 😎

The website promised that you would learn everything about good meat, but unfortunately there was no information or explanation during the tasting. In addition, the à la carte guests sat in the same area as the tasting guests, which didn't exactly make the atmosphere conducive. The corn soup and the starter should be positively highlighted, as they were both excellent in terms of taste and presentation. However, the waiting times were far too long and the overworked staff seemed stressed. The meat was prepared for all tables at the same time, which unfortunately meant that it was served cold. Although the plates were warmed, this could not prevent the quality of the meat from leaving something to be desired. Unfortunately, some pieces were rather fatty, which was disappointing for two of our guests. In addition, the cooking levels were specified, which is not suitable for everyone! For €89 per person you only get around 150g of meat in total, which seems unreasonable compared to the price. As a side dish there was a salad that was unappealing and had dark spots. After dessert, a crème brûlée, which was fine, the guests quickly left the restaurant and it was clear that many were dissatisfied. Another drawback was that neither schnapps nor espresso were offered. Unfortunately, for a total of €600 for five people, we cannot recommend this steak tasting We would also like to mention that the sanitary area in this price segment is in urgent need of renovation

A great restaurant, the atmosphere is particularly nice when you can sit outside in the summer. The staff is attentive and courteous, the food is delicious. We have been there several times and have always left the restaurant very satisfied.

Vi var 10 stk som var der i fjor, da var alt veldig bra. Årets besøk svarte derfor ikke til forventningene. Noen av oss fikk byttet om rettene. Kjøttet var ikke så bra som i fjor. Det ble servert Rib eye som ikke var Rib eye. Vi ba om varm cream brulee, de sjekket på kjøkkenet og bekreftet at de kunne levere det. Når cream bruleen kom var den kald. Vi hadde forventet bedre kvalitet på kjøttet. Det var også litt rot med regningen

Unfortunately, the service and food were not really convincing. After the orders were placed quickly and the starters arrived quickly. No one showed up for a long time and an hour passed until the main course was on the table. Mind you, there were only two other tables occupied at the time we ordered. For my main course I had a dryage steak. Of the 200g, around 50g remained because it had a tendon running through it in one place and was therefore not edible. Unfortunately, after it was raised, nothing really came back as an answer. At prices like these, you can expect a lot more. We won't be coming back!

The steakhouse is definitely a steakhouse. The service was super nice, although the young man seemed a bit insecure to me. He mastered the carving perfectly. The steaks were on point. All in all super tasty 😋.

If you like meat of the highest quality, this is the place for you. Grilled to perfection as desired.

Amazing Steakhouse Experience! I recently dined at this steakhouse, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious! cooked to perfection with rich flavors that truly made each bite memorable. The steaks were tender and juicy, exactly how they should be. The service was top notch, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed. It’s clear that they take great pride in providing a fantastic dining experience. We went to this steakhouse for the first time yesterday and all I can say is that it was simply fantastic. The food, the service, the ambience is unique. Keep it up, we'll definitely be back. 😊

Popped in later in the evening for a small bite. Got this fantastic starter platter for two. We also ordered a side of cheddar cheese fries. The cheese sauce was definitely homemade. So friggin tasty.

So we had dinner for two last night and were completely satisfied! Nice service, good food, nice atmosphere too! We would recommend it!

It had to be something special for my husband's birthday and since he prefers a really good fillet steak as his favorite dish, Brecht's was my first thought. Had a delicious meal here. We had a dry aged platter with Zen 2e. Very good meat. Ultimately we had the feeling that the receipt was incorrect.

It was my first time at Brechts. The restaurant looks really nice. The service and food was sometimes not good on the day I was there. My cheeseburger was good. However, my friends' food doesn't. The salmon fillet was only half cooked, the steak was too cooked and someone else had to wait for their food because it was forgotten. They wanted to bring new food, but we didn't want that after the long wait. Maybe we had a bad day.

In front of the Spree river. Very close to the museum island. The food was very good, plenty of it and the waiters served me very well and quickly. The negative point is that there were a lot of people, but I suppose that was precisely because it is a good place. I would have preferred a somewhat quieter atmosphere, but I don't think it's the restaurant's fault. Everyone aspires to be full of customers. My experience was good and I recommend it. So we can't really explain the sometimes so strong criticism and the really bad reviews 🤔😜. We had booked a candlelight 3-course menu dinner for around 80 euros for 2 people without drinks and were greeted very attentively and friendly with a free sparkling wine from 7 p.m.! The ambience, the candle and the music including the mood and volume were perfect for a candlelight dinner! As a starter there was a wonderful cauliflower soup with a great crunch and some bread, and as a main course there were wonderfully tender ribs with delicious potatoes and homemade raw vegetable coleslaw seasoned with curry and other aromatic herbs. Mind you, these were all decent and not Mickey Mouse portions á la trés haute cuisine which we weren't looking for or wanted! As dessert there was an incredibly delicious crème brulée with incorporated passion fruit that was lovingly caramelized at the table - dessert heart what do you want more 😍👍. We were very impressed, we liked and enjoyed everything so much that it was definitely not the last time we were here! Many thanks to the entire team at Brechts Steakhaus!

Where do I start, food mediocre, everything except the meat simply not good - the prawns mediocre, I would have done at least as well in my own kitchen with garlic. The meat: Château Briand was quite good, but to be honest: that's it one of the softest types of grass-fed beef in the world, of course it is soft, you also expect an extraordinary taste - you won't find that! F&B manager, waiters and kitchen simply overwhelmed with their restaurant. We waited over an hour for the starter alone, and we weren't the only ones who complained about the waiting time... mind you: the restaurant was only half full! That cannot and should not be the claim of a restaurant with this name and this location. Clear recommendation: go somewhere else! We do it.

This is by far the worst food establishment I have ever been too! We waited almost 2 hours for food, when we got to a point of cancelling, I went up to the young man who was serving us, who was having a good laugh with his mate dressed in a football kit at the end of the bar, who, when he finally gave me a second of his time laughed at me and told me to go and sit back down, my food would be out shortly! This was after the best part of 2 hours waiting! When the food arrived, the quality of meet would of been decent if cooked at all well! We were a group of 8, there was another mixed group of 7/8 who also had the same experience, Utterly disgusting all round

I visited this restaurant recently and unfortunately, my experience was not the best. While the atmosphere was pleasant , I had a very disappointing experience with the service. I ordered dessert and had to wait for over an hour without any updates. Eventually, I gave up and left without ever receiving it. The long wait and lack of communication from the staff left me feeling quite frustrated.

We were there for the steak tasting. We had a very nice place right on the Spree in the best weather. The supervising employee was a blast! Super personable and service-oriented. The meat was very tasty and plentiful. Definitely recommended! Many thanks to the team! We'd love to come back. 👍🏻✌🏻

Unfortunately it was way too expensive and it was very loud. The meat was delicious but the price was astronomical.

Amazing steak - the Argentinian fillet and ribeye (entrecôte) are a must try. Have been eating steak my whole life and been to many great steakhouses but this genuinely might be the best one I’ve ever had Sauces and sides are great, service was kind and quick as well.

If you are Celiac or Gluten intolerant AVOID THIS PLACE First night in Berlin we thought a Burger would suit, absolutely Rubbish And that's putting in nicely. My wife is Celiac, the menu shows that Dishes with the number 19 contain Gluten (Rubbish) My wife chose a Falafel Burger on a (Gluten free Bun?) it came with fries (Gluten free?) Within 40 minutes my wife had a reaction, not only did her face swell and other symptoms she was actually physically sick. She took an antihistamine and within an hour everything calmed down. PLEASE DON'T EAT HERE IF YOU ARE CELIAC OR GLUTEN INTOLERANT!!!!!! We should have realised when the waiter didn't know if any of the beers were Gluten free 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ I have a Chicken Burger (Rubbish) Frozen chicken burger, unbelievable. The other dishes we had were ok, a Buffalo salad and some Padron peppers. The bill was just short of €90, not worth it!!!!!!! The pictures they show on their page don't look anything like the food!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, there are much better steakhouses for the price range (even in the cheaper segment). Inattentive staff, long waiting times. The dry aged steaks may be of good quality, but they arrived almost cold and were only partially cooked to medium rare. The small key fries were positive, they were tasty and crispy. Salad unremarkable. For the price, it's a shame that the quantity isn't a little more generous. Unfortunately, the only really positive thing was the location by the water. Despite the higher prices, the restaurant doesn't seem really classy or anything like that. So there's a lot of room for improvement here and unfortunately it's not worth the money at all. A pity…

Steak platter the way you want it. A little bit of everything, you don't really need any side dishes. I can't really understand the rather cautious reviews. We liked it. Homemade herb butter, port wine juice and a starter plate that is truly star-level... Keep it up, we'll be back

Dejlig beliggenhed. Kødet var udemærket men ikke fantastisk. Alt for lidt sauce og skulle vente 50 min mad. Betjening og service var middel. Ikke meget smil eller kommunikation

Ventede i 50 min. inden maden kom. Bøffen var middelmådig og var derfor relativ dyr. Bearnaise sovsen kunne ligge i et fingerbøl. Vi blev ikke præsenteret for en regning, da vi skulle betale. Efter at have betalt, bad vi om at se regningen og uden at vi blev spurgt havde de lagt 10% (23 eur.)oven i som drikkepenge.

Wir waren spontan in Berlin und haben uns spontan für einen Besuch im Restaurant entscheiden. Das Personal erschien recht genervt . Das Carpaccio war angetrocknet, Olivenöl würde nur auf Nachfrage gereicht. Lachs als Vorspeise lieblos im Weck-Glas und präsentierte sich nicht nur optisch als Fensterkitt. Schon die abgenutzten Speisekarten hätten uns alarmieren müssen. Die Hauptgänge : Entrecôte für 50 Euro ( bestellt Medium-Rare) enttäuschten dann leider auch auf Grund des falschen Gargrades „durch“ . Kurzum : TuriNep und eines der schlechtesten Preis-Leistungs Restaurants wo ich je war.

The location is solid by the river, the food is ok, but it's quite expensive. At the same time, they charged me more then it should be based on menu and they also didn't issue an invoice. I asked them to look again at the actual amount and the waiter just approximately added it up (again no calculator or invoice) listing menu what I suppose to have and then returned the difference for which he wanted to cheat me. Claim your bill and take a look what you've been charged. I DON'T recommend to visit this place.

The experience was just over all very bad. Waiter was rude, the food was incredibly average, the cheese burger was boring and the pasta was okay, but had a weird taste. Neither was worth the price. The service was very slow and they seemed uninterested in taking our order. We paid by card and they added an almost 10% tip without mentioning it.

The burger and steak here was fantastic (burger a bit pink however). Great location beside the water. Service was good as well. A good choice all around for those looking for steak or grill. Just a heads up that it is pricey.

Unfortunately I can't give a positive review. Wiener Schnitzel and pork ribs, they were both tasteless, that is to say, the taste only stayed on the surface, while the meat inside was boring and bland. In addition, I would doubt whether the meals in this restaurant are all prepared in advance. Pork ribs often take a long time to be freshly grilled, but this restaurant served them quickly, and the sauce poured on the ribs was solidified! I don't understand.
