I can only echo the praise for the service and the delicious food! Unfortunately, many traditional restaurants in Friedrichroda have closed, but fortunately the brewery has survived and is well-visited. Thuringian specialties, short wait times, and regular customers are a testament to the team's outstanding performance. It's worth it!

We came here for dinner. The service is first-class. To be on the safe side, you should always make a reservation, as the place can fill up quickly. We ordered the dark beer, which was very tasty and drinkable. Our starter was sauerkraut soup and Hubertus venison soup. A cup is more than enough for an appetizer. Both were very tasty and served hot. The main course of Thuringian specialties, including schnapps, was a great portion. Schacko's beer-style meat in a pan is also a good portion. Everything was delicious and exactly as expected. If you don't get full here... As I said, the service was perfect and very attentive. We'd be happy to come back.

Delicious food, decent portions and nice staff. For children there is something to paint and children's meals (pretty french-heavy, but dumplings are also offered) The obligatory toilet check also shows that the brewery is well run (although I would like paper towels to dry my hands) Recommendation goes out!

The rating refers only to the food. If the quality or cooking skills were right, the price would be appropriate, but as you can see from the rating, unfortunately it doesn't fit and I'll tell you why. For example, you advertise with crispy knuckle, but the rind is not crispy at all. Even after addressing the problem, the response is rather annoyed and it would be reworked, but without any improvement. It was still inedible. At the brewery pan (3 pieces of meat) 1. Poultry was good 2. Pig was "well" 3. Beef was tough (shoe sole) even though it was still pink. There wasn't much going on, in fact there wasn't much going on, you could say that was because of that. We won't be coming back and wouldn't recommend anyone to go there. The positive review deceived us. It's a shame about the money and time, I'd rather have a nice time on vacation and not waste it like that.

We had a wonderful dinner in the brewery with 16 family members. Thanks to the waiters for their commitment, full of politeness, courteousness, helpfulness, attentiveness and speed. Regarding the various dishes, I would like to say that everything was incredibly tasty, whether salad, soup, brawn, sauerbraten, Mediterranean, knuckles. We have rarely eaten so well in restaurants. The taste was excellent and the portion size was perfect. A big thank you to the brewery for the high quality in everything. Just great.

We ate at the brewery the evening before our wedding reception! What can I say? Excellent quality and a dream taste. There's also the Schackobräu beer, which tastes super tasty - even though it's a pilsner, it has much more of the character of a full-bodied light beer. There were 30 of us and everyone said in unison that it was a very good choice. Keep up the quality and the extremely great service - stick with the staff because the people are really priceless!

We had a very pleasant evening in the brewery. The beer is really very good. The meals were delicious and very plentiful. You can only thank the service staff (mostly of Asian origin) for their commitment. Without them there would probably be no way to go there.

The food was solid and well prepared and presented. Some of the meat was a bit firm to the bite. The house beer is a matter of taste but is solid in itself. The ambience is a bit austere but cozy and clocklike. The toilets could use a sanitary refresh. Service was very nice and quick.

The location could use a general overhaul and the plastic plants triggered me 😆. But that's about it for the negative criticism. I know restaurants where there is more appearance than reality. Let's get to food. When I entered the restaurant I first had to make sure I was in the right place and not at the Asian restaurant around the corner 😉. But the entire team at Brauhaus Friedrichroda did a great job. The service was courteous and very friendly, the kitchen conjured up excellent dishes as you can see in the pictures. Overall conclusion: 👍 definitely worth recommending.

We were in Friedrichroda on a Friday evening and met up as a family at the brewery. Of course, we had made a reservation in advance, because that's better with six people. We received a very friendly welcome and service. We had a great time there. The service was really great and handled the large crowd very well. The ambiance is truly quaint and there's a relaxed atmosphere. The food is really great, and the value for money is also very good. I highly recommend the brewery in Friedrichroda. We'll definitely be back.

We were in Friedrichroda on a Saturday evening and called about 5 minutes before 5:30 p.m. and asked for a table. Luckily for us, that wasn't a problem and we ran there quickly. We were warmly welcomed and the first impression was exactly the brewery style we expected. Just great. We were promptly provided with tickets and were able to order quickly. The drinks came quickly and the food didn't take long to arrive. Max 20 minutes. According to the name, it is probably a small brewery. I can really recommend the October beer. I really enjoyed it. The food was consistently great. There is something for everyone on the menu. We had 3 different dishes and were all satisfied with the price/performance ratio. If we end up here again, we will definitely come back here. Keep it up!

The food is home-style oriented. I had the lamb loin and absolutely loved it. That doesn't happen often. Everyone else involved also enjoyed it very much.

We recently celebrated our company's Christmas party at the Friedrichroda brewery with a total of 19 people. First there was a tour of the small brewery opposite, then a tasting and food and many, many other drinks in the inn itself. It was an all-round successful evening with an entertaining, informative tour, delicious beer, great food and quick, friendly service. We had pre-ordered the food and so everything came to the table quickly and hot for everyone in a very short time. There wasn't a single person who didn't enjoy it. Some of us also spent the night in the brewery. The rooms are absolutely ok for a short stay. Beds are comfortable, breakfast was good and the price is definitely reasonable. Many thanks again to the whole team for the great evening.

Unfortunately everything was fully booked, but the staff were helpful and friendly.

We only used the restaurant and would not come back. The food wasn't good for the price (Brauhaus pan €28), the meat from the Brauhaus pan was very dry. Very quaint location, friendly staff. Reply to the comment from the restaurant: Our plates were cleared by a lady of Asian descent who didn't ask us anything. However, we proactively told her that our food wasn't good and she just smiled. It is possible that the lady's language skills were not sufficient, so perhaps she could have an MA with knowledge of German carry out this activity.

Rustic German food that is now too elaborate for most restaurants. You'll definitely be full and it tastes good. Their own beer is also great. Inside it is rustic. The prices are high, but the quality is right!

We had a very tasty meal in a nice atmosphere.

We had reserved a table for 2 people for dinner and were seated in a room where the counter was and also a large, round table with 3 couples and small children. One always screamed. Sad highlight: one of the mothers breastfed her baby right at this table. This didn't seem to bother the innkeeper or the service staff. Us already. We then paid just under 80 euros for dinner. Overall the place looks dingy. The innkeeper drank at the bar and then wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.

The food was tasty, but nothing more. I had deer goulash with red cabbage and 2 dumplings for just under €30. Overall, the prices are far too high for a solid but outdated restaurant.

The two of us were in Friedrichsroda on a long weekend and the brewery caught our eye when we were looking for a nice restaurant. The reviews weren't exaggerating and the food was very good, the portions were generous and the staff was friendly. In addition, there is also homemade beer from our own “Smallest Brewery in West Thuringia” - super delicious. We then made a reservation for the second visit and were once again pleasantly surprised with delicious food. We definitely recommend making a reservation, the brewery was always full. Our food selection can be seen in the pictures: Königsberger Klopse, pork knuckle, turkey breast steak with Bolognese pasta and the Tuscan potty (with fries instead of pasta).

There has to be one star, otherwise you can't read the review. We landed at the RV parking space in Friedrichroda today and just wanted to have a quick 🍺 drink at the brewery after a stroll through the city. After asking if we had reserved, the waitress immediately turned us away, and after asking again to just drink a beer, the second rejection! This is not an advertisement for Thuringian hospitality.

We went to this brewery because of the very good reviews. Apparently the cook made a massive mistake with the pepper during our meal and put far too much of it on the schnitzel and in the marinade, so that the schnitzel we ordered was just spicy and actually hardly edible. In addition, one of the two dumplings we ordered was almost raw in the middle (see picture). We were then offered a 20% discount, but we were still very disappointed. Very unfortunate.

We were here for dinner...it couldn't be better! Friendly, competent staff, excellent advice when choosing food and the chef easily exceeds 5 stars. The homemade beer is delicious. The decor of the restaurant is rustic, an absolutely great atmosphere. A really nice evening, thank you very much for that. We'll definitely come back. We give this restaurant a 100% recommendation.

This evening we had dinner in the brewery with 6 people and 1 child. Based on the reviews, we were really looking forward to it, despite the slightly higher prices. I had the chanterelle pancake and unfortunately the medalions were extremely peppery and really not edible. I told the waitress and she wanted to pass it on to the kitchen. Nothing happened... The dish was then exchanged with the second waitress. However, everyone was finished and I ate alone. My husband had the lamb salmon, which was also extremely peppery, but he was able to scrape it down (see picture). We told the waitress that too. Nothing happened either. There was no accomodation when it came to cashing in either. The waitress's statement, "We should have said something," We stopped discussing it because we just didn't feel like it anymore... But the dish was definitely not worth its almost 30 euros. Our friends' salad for 22 euros wasn't worth the money either. The little one's dino nuggets were also "a joke," to put it nicely. Conclusion: Of the 7 meals, 2 were okay, the rest were over-peppered, raw dumplings, etc. Unfortunately we cannot give the restaurant a good rating.

It's a shame when you order food for just under 30 euros and there are so many peppercorns that you get something from the meat that was great in terms of cooking and unfortunately you don't taste anything other than pepper from the rest of the plate and then the waitress just says so, I pass it on and on You have to deal with it as it is. Unfortunately, very sad and not recommended because another 3 meals at the table were just as disappointing

Went spontaneously to the brewery last night. Called in the afternoon "outside opening hours" and asked for a table. Asked to be patient, we were called back after 5 minutes and a table for 7 people was reserved. We had a very nice evening. The food was very tasty and more than enough. Thanks to the chef. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. I have never experienced so much honesty. A companion had paid €50 too much. After we left the house we received a call with the information to collect the money. Thank you for that!! Stay as you are and we'll be back.

We like being in the brewery, especially in the beer garden. Here you can find our favorite beer “Urbier” - a dark one 🍺. We like the relaxed atmosphere, whether with or without live music. Plus a delicious pizza, which you can top with a variety of ingredients according to your own taste. For those who don't like making a choice 😉, there are also deliciously created pizzas. Just come by and enjoy. Always my pleasure. On Saturday we went to the beer garden concert with "d' Mützen". An unforgettably beautiful evening. This time there was kettle goulash as another culinary highlight. It's always amazing that you can give your palate a huge treat with well-known, simple dishes 😋. Plus a delicious Urbier. Chapeau.

It was so delicious. When we are in our home country, my husband (Wessi☺️😉 - he can't help it🙈😂😂🙊) has to eat at least once. We both have that. It was sensational and one of the best.

We discovered the brewery by chance through an event in the beer garden and then planned it as a daily culinary experience for our vacation. The food is fantastic and the owner and staff are very friendly. We felt very comfortable and spent relaxed, tasty hours in the brewery. Thank you for that.

We ate in the beer garden every evening during our vacation in Friedrichroda and, above all, drank delicious home-brewed beer 🍺. On special days (men's day) there is a barbecue, otherwise you can enjoy delicious pizza from the wood-fired oven, which you can order yourself.

Small place, great for a quiet vacation!

The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice. A real authentic German Brauhaus. No vegetarian options on the menu but I put some stuff together and it was good.

Very nicely rustic restaurant with delicious German cuisine. The service is particularly worth highlighting. The waiter was very friendly and you could tell that he took very good care of his trainees. Unfortunately, there was a guest who obviously didn't know the difference between a pub and a restaurant and who qualified for being thrown out after repeated very inappropriate behavior. Here too, the service reacted very appropriately and in a de-escalating manner and drew the (unfortunately) necessary consequences. But it probably doesn't happen often, so you don't have to worry about a quiet atmosphere :). Clear recommendation!

Wir waren zu 8 am 17 .02 24 zum Abendessen in diesen Historischen Brauhaus zum Abendessen. Das Ambiente ist urig. Das in der Hauseigenen Brauerei gebraute Bier schmeckt lecker vom Pilz bis Weizen einfach Weltklasse. Das Essen Gutbürgerliche Küche alle Speisen am Tisch 5 * riesige Portionen. Die Preise aufgrund der Kosten und Abgaben der heutigen Zeit völlig gerechtfertigt. Unsere Bedienung super freundlich . Wer gut Deutsch essen will mit einen selbstgebauten Bier ist hier genau richtig.

My friends from Bad Tabarz had reserved a table for 8 of us this evening and we were all very happy with everything. We were all very positively surprised by the price, service and quality of the cuisine. You have to say the whole team at the house knows their business. We can only recommend the brewery. Good beer and good brewery cuisine.

Last night I went to the Friedrichroda brewery quite spontaneously. Very friendly service, very good winter beer and a great bitters accompanied the selected grilled knuckle with sauerkraut and dumplings. The food was simply great. The crust wasn't crispy for my taste. Men's popcorn was missing. See you again soon. Thank you.

Had dinner here with the family on New Year's Eve. Very attentive service, very tasty food and great beers. The winter beer was particularly tasty. If we are in Friedrichroda again, we would be happy to come back. We recommend!

Wir hatten gemeinsam mit unseren Freunden einen total tollen Abend. Das Essen ist gut bürgerlich, schmeckt unheimlich lecker und die Bedienung war sehr nett. Es ist ein sehr schönes Brauhaus und das Essen ist lecker, nur zuviel auf dem Teller und der Preis, na für Friedrichroda unangemessen. Wir leben hier im Osten und nicht in Berlin. Außerdem empfinde ich gerade in diesem Restaurant, waren in den letzten Jahren 3-4 mal da, dass man jede Möglichkeit ausnutzt, um das Essen teurer zu machen. Sehr schade, es gibt in Erfurt, also in der Landeshauptstadt Lokalitäten mit dem gleichen Potenzial und Angeboten, aber da bekommt man eine Rinderroulade mit 2 Klößen noch unter 20€. Hier ist fast jedes Gericht um und weit über 20€. Stark übertrieben!!! Wir werden nicht mehr kommen und hoffentlich andere auch nicht. Es hat auch nichts mit dem 19% zu tun, auch bei 7% war es schon teurer, als überall in der Region.

Trotz vieler Reservierungen noch einen Plätzchen bekommen. Danke! Sehr gutes Bier, netter Service, große Auswahl! Die Hauptspeisen beginnen bei ca 20 Euro, es sind sehr große Portionen und schön angerichtete Teller. Sehr lecker 🙃! Wir kommen gern wieder. 👍🏼

Ein sehr schönes , altes Gebäude. Alleine dafür lohnt es sich schon . Das Brauhaus ist sehr urig und man hat das Gefühl in einer Zeitkapsel zu sitzen und zuverweilen. Der hervorragende Sevice, die freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Kellnerien möchte ich besonders hervorheben . Das Essen ist zünfig ,schmackhaft und üppig alles Top das Bier ist ein wirklicher Knaller" hopfig und frisch" würde zujeder Zeit wieder einkehren .

Wir haben so fantastisch gegessen im Brauhaus! Die Portionen waren sehr gut und beide Gerichte äußerst schmackhaft. Das Oktoberbier dazu war sehr lecker. Der Service war schnell und sehr zuvorkommen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder :-)
