Hotel in a good location and with very good food. I also really enjoy the beer. Unfortunately, the sauna comes at an extra charge!

We spent a few days in Beilngries and stayed again at the Brauereigasthof Schattenhofer. As always, everything was perfect. The room, the facilities within the building, the beer garden in the courtyard and right next door, were all top-notch. The food and drinks were simply fantastic. The best part, however, is the staff. Polite, friendly, accommodating, and always with a smile on their faces. Here, you really get the impression...the employees also enjoy their work... Great hotel, the rooms, etc., were all recently renovated. Everything is spotlessly clean, stylish, and technically up to date. For the many guests who are passing through by bike, the hotel offers a private garage with charging facilities. The food in the restaurant was delicious; I haven't had such a good meal in a long time. Only the breakfast could be a bit more imaginative.

Absolutely no recommendation... Bavarian tradition is preferred over profit here. It's a tradition that you can bring your snack to the beer garden in Bavaria, but not here, i.e. it's against it. I can only advise everyone to give this shed a wide berth. ☝️☝️

We ate there twice in the last few days because we really enjoyed it. I was a bit skeptical at first because some recessions were fraught with criticism. But in my opinion, absolutely wrong! The building has been beautifully renovated, the old one has been excellently preserved and has been very successfully combined with the new. I can't comment on the room as we didn't stay there. But now the most important thing: the food is excellent!! The Schäufela is an absolute recommendation, with very good potato dumplings and a really home-made and perfect sauce - simply very good. Since I've been cooking for more than 50 years, the bar is very high when it comes to crust, dumplings and sauce, but there's nothing wrong with it, it tastes great. And it wasn't reheated from the day before (mentioning this because I read that in one of the reviews). The other dishes we enjoyed there, such as Braumeister goulash with bread dumplings, Braumeister pan with home-made spaetzle and crispy schnitzel, were all tasty and good. The beer is also very good. Only the side salads didn't quite match the very good main meal. Clear recommendation with deserved 5 stars. We'd love to come back.

We had a spontaneous meal today and all the dishes were great. We can recommend the food and will definitely come back. I haven't eaten such a delicious sauerbraten in a long time and my son was absolutely thrilled with the crispy and tender schnitzel.

As beautiful as Schattenhofer is, we were unlucky with the food and service. This was our fourth and definitely the last time there. Food is average at best. The schnitzels were fried on the bottom and were arranged that way in the hope that we wouldn't notice. At the fine dining event where we paid €130.00 per person with wine accompaniment, the “fine” was missing from the dining. We definitely expect more. If you can't do it, you should leave it alone. Last year in the beer garden the stew was tasteless and the goulash was tough. But the shooting happened today. We wanted to try it again and spontaneously go out to eat at Schattenhofer. At first we were ignored at reception. When they showed mercy and paid attention and asked if there was a place available for two people, the service person turned to her colleague. She was standing behind the bar and only answered with a short and snappy "No," that you don't have anything free without even turning around to look at us or checking the reservations. By friendly service we mean something different.

Yes, because the hotel itself is beautiful, eating in the Bräustüberl is not recommended, at least on Sunday evenings. The soups are cold, the liver dumpling tastes like bread dumplings and we didn't get it through, the Schäufele was both tasty and made, the worst thing I was ever forced to experience as a Schäufele. Never this restaurant again but the hotel will.

If you like good Bavarian beer, this is the place for you... If you like service with a mohawk, this is the place for you... If you like Filipino service, this is also the right place for you... Hotel newly renovated, nice bathroom. But: the size of the closet is a joke. This is where the safe and minibar are located, and there is very little space for clothes. In addition, there are no drawers, so socks and underwear had to stay in the suitcase. The pillows are terrible! I had to crumple it up several times to get any support for my head and neck. I had neck pain...

Very nicely located hotel right in the idyllic old town of Beilngries. From registration to check out, everything was very friendly and well organized. My room was very nicely decorated and clean, the bathroom was also clean and very nicely decorated. The breakfast buffet was really exceptionally good and left nothing to be desired. The restaurant and beer garden were very well attended and the selection of food and drinks here was also very good and of the best quality. In other words: I would love to come back and can only warmly recommend the Braugasthof Schattenhofer!

The Schattenhofer hotel in Beilngries is amazing! The staff makes you feel welcomed and is always trying to please. My room was immaculant. It has become my place to go in Germany to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and relax.

Very nice old brewery and hotel building. Beautifully restored. Unfortunately, the tone in the kitchen is incredibly unpleasant. Cutlery is thrown around from the cleared plates and the chef shouts at his employees. The food was good and enjoyable. But we've eaten much better and cheaper in the region. Maybe we just had a bad day (the entire restaurant and the adjoining room were completely full). Probably won't go there again.

Technically, all rooms correspond to the first impression when you walk through the main entrance as a guest! I was there for dinner. A small brewery in the rear building invites you to visit. Beer tastes very full-bodied! Definitely try it.

But the breakfast was also great. On request, omelettes or fried eggs were freshly prepared. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The central location of the hotel is good, but this weekend there was an onion market, so we had to park outside and walk through the market with our luggage. There were parking spaces available behind the hotel, but they could only be accessed after 6 p.m. and the market started again at 10 a.m. the next morning. However, the employees print out a sign for us saying that we are hotel guests and can stay there. Otherwise the hotel is highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

Simply great! - The “Gasthof” is very comfortably furnished; the hotel (even if we didn't use it) makes an excellent impression. We had delicious homemade beer, pumpkin cream soup, Schäuferla and Obazda cordon bleu. Everything is of excellent quality and you can eat enough, even if you were really hungry. The service was friendly. - On the way to the model toilets, you pass the kitchen, which is partitioned off with glass panes and is a sight worth seeing. And all of this at an absolutely fair price.

Very nice restaurant with an interesting menu. The onion roast with roasted onions (finished product 😎) - that's not possible ☝️ - according to the waiter, the onions were homemade 🙄 - if that's the case then it's quite an art to get them done so badly 🤓 - the fried potatoes had nothing to do with fried potatoes ! The meat was well prepared but the basic quality of the meat was tasteless! For €34 you can ask for something different. ☝️The inn certainly deserves another visit but I will definitely order something else! I'm really sorry that I can't give a better rating at the moment 😇

The service is excellent. Everyone was very accommodating. What wasn't good were the mattresses in the beds. Unfortunately too hard. In the beer garden the cash starts at 10 p.m., which means it's closing time. But there are many other locations in the area. You can enjoy a great break there.

There were 13 of us, it was Sunday and the weather was nice, so there was a lot of activity. Almost all of us had ordered different dishes, but after a quarter of an hour everyone had their food in front of them. We were all impressed and the food was very good too. Highly recommended
