Brauerei und Gasthaus Schlössle in Neu-Ulm

We were there at an event and ate something in advance. The staff was super friendly, both on the phone and in direct service. The food was good and reasonably priced. It has a rustic charm. The only criticism I have is that the plumbing is so “quaint”. An overhaul would be beneficial sooner or later. But at least it was clean.

We ended up here by chance and were thrilled: quaint and beautiful, good food, good beer and very nice service.

Great beer, good and trained staff, very friendly

Have been here this weekend. And this was the last time I visited this beer garden. The food was okay, but the garden itself was pleasant. However, the service was questionable. A bit more friendliness would do you good. Hence: This was the last time I visited this beer garden. I've been here often and have frequently encountered unfriendly staff. However, this was unfortunately the final straw. Addressing the issue on-site doesn’t help. Instead, you get snapped at and asked what's wrong, even after explanation. No direct excuse. It's very disappointing. We've heard from our neighbors that they no longer visit the beer garden, and we will do the same. ADDENDUM: I can also write to you in German. Unfortunately, your employees have become very unfriendly. Unbelievable. We have been coming for years... We remained loyal to you throughout the entire Corona period! The older waitresses at the counter were never friendly. The tone was also rough at the Christmas goose dinner in the inn... only because someone at the next table had probably opened the window. We were in the dining room with my mother, who afterwards said: They weren't really that friendly. My mother refused any further attempt to stay with you. The experience was probably that formative. We ignored all of this for years because of the ambience of the beer garden. But what we had to experience that evening was UNDERGROUND. Do you always want criticism directly on site? Then why don't you/your employees allow this? And here I'm not talking about the young employees, who are really on their toes and very friendly. I'm sorry about the beautiful beer garden... but we'd rather walk over the bridge into Friedrichsau than have me stop by again. Specific enough, Mr. Zoller?

Simply great. Unfortunately there are a few tripping hazards in the entrance area. The beer garden is absolutely perfect, but it is self-service.

Brewery in Neu Ulm, stop for lunch, good food and beers too. Only note: they don't have credit card payments even if the possibility of paying in this way is indicated outside, better to let them know beforehand.

Unfortunately, they have stopped brewing, which means that an essential point of the visit has been lost. Otherwise the menu and the restaurant would have to be revised.

Time-honored beer garden, you sit under old, huge chestnut trees. The ambience is great, but the brewing of the delicious beer has stopped. The beer garden will continue to exist, but without the Schlöß'le beer, which is known beyond the city limits.

A really nice evening spent with dear friends! In addition, an evening full of joy, lots of laughter, very good entertainment with “Hillus Herzdropfa!”, a Swabian comedy. Thanks to everyone for this!

Swabian home cooking.cheap and tasty, best and friendly service. Rustic atmosphere in the restaurant and beer garden. Always recommended for a good beer from the Schloessle or a good meal at lunchtime or in the evening.

The Schlössle is highly recommended. We celebrated our wedding in this restaurant this year and would do it again at any time. The service was excellent, very accommodating. The guests and we were very satisfied. The food was flawless and, as always, very tasty. Thank you again!

The food is really good with a beautiful beer garden. Everything went wonderfully when we celebrated our wedding there.

Probably the most beautiful typical beer garden in the region. The menu is quite diverse and there should be something to suit all eating habits - with or without meat. If you have a “normal” appetite, you should choose the small portion. However, anything not eaten can be taken with you. A suitable container will be made.

We went to the Schlössle for the first time yesterday, purely by chance. We were on the way back from Allgäu to Nattheim and were looking for a beer garden in Ulm and the surrounding area. And this beer garden is exactly wonderful. Spaciously laid out, lots of trees providing shade... It's bearable here 😌 Like in other beer gardens, I think the concept of “partial self-service” as I always call it is very good. You order food and drinks at the counter, you take the drinks with you and can quench your thirst directly at the table, the food is brought to the table ✔️ The home-brewed house beer is delicious and drinkable, it goes well 🍻 The selection of dishes is extensive and should have something for every taste. The Swabian plate and the breaded schnitzel with fries and beer sauce tasted really good. There is certainly room for improvement when it comes to serving. It was pretty carelessly thrown onto the plate and didn't make much of a difference visually. I think it works better in a beer garden without expectations of haute cuisine. And the grilled tomato was cold. Not room temperature, just cold. All in all, a solid 4* rating for the food. Service was nice and courteous, tables were cleared quickly after the meal. The only shame was the length of time it took for the second meal to arrive at the table; my wife was already halfway through her meal. Overall, a good visit to a great beer garden with delicious food. There is room for improvement in serving and service. When we're back in the corner, we'll be happy to come again 🙌🏼

Very nice family-run inn with a very nice beer garden. The home-brewed beer tastes sensational and the food is delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. This inn is always worth a visit.

It's easy to endure where Napoleon was once imprisoned. The Bieramesu (a variation of Tiramisu) is incomparably fresh and fluffy. Highly recommended!

Self-service at tables without tablecloths (but it is described at the entrance), which is also fine in a beer garden. Very tasty beer, great beer amisu and the salmon with fries was also very good.

Really great beers... Unfortunately, the food is prepared rather carelessly. In my opinion the price/performance ratio is not realistic.

Very cozy beer garden. You can easily order and get drinks yourself at a sales counter and pay directly. Card payment with EC card possible Cash payment of course also. The home-style food and the brewery specialties can also be ordered at the ordering counter, stating the table number. The food is brought. A main course costs around €20, such as schnitzel with fries. The portions are large. The drink selection is excellent and there are various beers and all kinds of non-alcoholic drinks. I can absolutely recommend a visit

You have to get your own drinks and you can also order the food there and the food will be brought to the table. You don't have to fetch anything yourself from the tables with tablecloths. incredible service Desert Schlössle Offenhausen! In 2024, operators will continue to refuse cosmopolitan customer service and reject credit cards (and debit cards). Beer is as good as it has been for the last 70 years but far too cheap! I prefer to pay €3-5 more for food, I can pay with a card and get something above average!

Super nice here between the chestnut trees in the beer garden! The beer is home-brewed and very tasty. The white sausage is super tasty. I didn't eat anything else here because I always only take the white sausage. A tip for couples: share the large portion of veal sausages (3 pieces of veal sausages plus two pretzels), then it will be very cheap! The rest of the food looks delicious too. Typically in a beer garden, you have to get the drinks yourself and order the food and pay for everything. The food is then brought to the table. We always drive off the highway so we can take a break here. Really recommended!

My wife's fish, unfortunately frozen mass-produced goods...

This inn is highly recommended, from ordering to paying, everything is great. A very good kitchen. You can also order small portions, but they are as big as a normal portion in other restaurants.

If there is a beer garden in Ulm/Neu-Ulm, then only the Schlössle! Great beer (tip: Märzen). Delicious food that is brought to the table in a way that is not typical of a beer garden. Wonderful ambience. Another tip: The Märzen is available in a party keg to take away!

Good, solid, old-established beer garden

This is how you imagine a beer garden! Nicely located under large trees, there are self-service tables and tables with service, which was really super friendly. Food and beer excellent!

The beer was delicious, I would describe the food as solid and honest (good, but not great). The beer garden, on the other hand, is simply great. It's nice and quiet to sit under old trees, it couldn't be more idyllic. There is a playground for children. The staff is also super friendly. Overall, definitely worth a visit.

Had lunch with my wife in the beer garden today. When I ordered the food, I was charged 2 euros more just because my wife wanted coleslaw instead of potato salad with the bratwurst. When my sausage salad arrived, which was manageable in size, I first had to complain that it was without an onion. The service staff replied: I entered sausage salad into the system, but I said the onion was still missing. He went off with the plate again, half a minute later he was back with the same plate, ok man, he just threw onion on top, so far ok. When I started to eat I noticed that the slices of bread were 2 cm dry from the edge, i.e. old bread. I didn't feel like arguing again and just ate the inside part of the bread. When I carried my dishes back, the waitress came back and I told him that he should tell the kitchen that my bread was old. He just looked at me and I said he should touch it, answer: oh yes, that's right. No apology or anything. I will never enter this beer garden again.

An eventful and historical meeting place for Bavarians and Swabians who want to quench their thirst and hunger... In the cozy beer garden or in the small, cozy "Schlössle", you can be sure of every hearty taste experience. Whether pretzels, Obzda or even something more refined cuisine is very well catered for... The only criticism is that the vegetarian and vegan alternatives could be missing for some people... I also believe that everyone will be able to enjoy a variety of the in-house Schlösse beer depending on their taste. 🍻😉 so I can only warmly recommend a visit...

Very nice, quiet beer garden. With service or self-service, depending on the tablecloth 😁 Home-brewed beer and good Swabian Bavarian dishes. The pork knuckle was very good, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, that's how it should be. The dessert request was also fulfilled, even if it wasn't on the menu 👍

Nice beer garden with a playground for children. Our seat was self-service only, which was perfectly fine with us. Unfortunately our food (sausage salad) left a lot to be desired. It came “fresh” from the fridge and that’s how it tasted. The advertised “special dip” was like water and the bread that was served with it was very dry. Some of the onions still had the peel on them. A simple dish that can certainly be made better! In addition, the apple juice spritzer for our 3-year-old daughter had a clear alcohol note like apple cider. That doesn't work at all!!

The food was really really good. Each of the four dishes was a taste experience in itself. I can only recommend the Schlössle Georgsbier Dunkel. The staff was very friendly even if it seemed quite hectic behind the counter. All in all, an atmospheric beer garden that I can only recommend.

A real Swabian beer garden like at home with your mother

The restaurant is nice and rustic and is very cozy. The food was completely fine and tasted good too. The prices are also reasonable. The selection of home-brewed beers leaves nothing to be desired. I also enjoyed the beer I drank. Eisbock and Helles. Service is very friendly and accommodating. Little tip. The small salad is more than enough as it is already a decent portion. The inn is not only worth a visit for beer lovers.

Homemade food is very tasty, a bit expensive, but huge portions. There are also portions for children and those less hungry, great.

Great range of beers from our own production, classic or from craft recipes. But the cuisine and service also deserve the points. A really solid day card for Good Friday.

The food looked a lot like a supermarket, but I can get that at home too.

Were there on Saturday evening at 9:02 p.m., were seated, given a menu and forgotten for 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the kitchen was already closed. So we tried it again on Sunday... 1 sample beer of 4 with a snack plate. Unfortunately there are two types of sausage on it, which for me don't belong on a traditional snack plate. Rest was delicious. Service was friendly.

I had a beer roast that I couldn't eat because the meat was tough and fatty, the spaetzle had no taste and was overcooked. Nobody cared why over half of the food was returned.

A real Bavarian beer garden! Nice and cool in summer and the house beer is always a highlight! The atmosphere is great and I like to bring friends and relatives from above the Weißwurst equator here to introduce them to this southern German cultural asset. Unfortunately I missed the whistle a few times while eating, but if you like the Swabian-Bavarian classics, this is the place for you. There are also a few vegetarian dishes and a few wines (but I haven't tried them yet). Tip: the homemade Maultaschen

Beautiful beer garden with lots of chestnut trees, a dream. The brewery restaurant is also a cozy place to feel good. The food was delicious and filling, the home-brewed Hefeweizen was a cool, refreshing treat. We'll be back.

Super nice beer garden with very tasty food and great service. I just found it a bit confusing when it came to the selection of dishes, there is a display board and menus are also available (but not at the tables). I tried to compare both, but I don't think they were completely consistent. The playground could use some love, otherwise everything is great!

My family, friends and I have been guests at the Schlössle for many years, summer and winter. Simply beautiful...also for the children in summer. The service..top!! The food was always very good. The last few times, however, the visit was at short intervals, Unfortunately, we discovered: the kitchen has slacked off a lot. A new chef? The drinks came quickly, the food came even faster, it came before the drinks, lukewarm, potato salad, puree and the taste wasn't as good as usual. There were 2 hairs in the food, one of which was stuck in my throat. It can happen sometimes, but it shouldn't happen too often. We will be served in the near future and hope things change again.

In my opinion the price/performance ratio doesn't fit at all. I paid over €100 for 3 people. Just under €29 for the onion roast alone. If this one had been good, fine. But here we are talking about extremely tough meat and fried onions from buckets. The sauce was pale and the side dishes couldn't be changed either. Several people had the onion roast and NONE of them were good. So I don't understand the prices. I'm willing to pay €30 for an onion roast. But the Schlössle one wouldn't even have been worth €10 to me. If I had known, I wouldn't have gone. The staff had to argue with us again and again because even a salad always looks the same and cannot be adjusted. So what should I order the rest of the food for my child who ONLY likes cucumbers? My wife had a schnitzel that tasted awfully like pork, and none of the fries were cooked through. Everything about that day was just disappointing. What I don't understand: So where do the 4.5 stars come from? At least not from the food.

Ein wunderschöner Biergarten mit tollen Bäumen und super Spielplatz. Das Essen ist bodenständig, aber lecker und wird in der Regel auch schnell serviert. Die Kinder können toben und die Großen sich unterhalten. In jedem Fall empfehlenswert!

Sehr gutes Esden und das Bier steht dem in nichts nach

Nette Brauereigaststätte mit Nebenräumen für Veranstaltungen, großer Biergarten und mit Buchung auch eine Brauereiführung möglich. Das Essen ist gut bürgerlich, das Bier erwartungsgemäß lecker.

Wir waren mit Freunden in diesem rustikalen Restaurant beim Ente essen! Durch eine Vorbestellung wurde das Essen schon kurz nach unserem Eintreffen serviert. Es gab eine super leckere Soße dazu, Blaukraut und Klöße. Die Ente war knusprig und sehr zart. Der Service top!

Sauerbraten, Gans und Salat lecker! Das Viererlei ist etwas einfallslos mit Kartoffelsalat, Kässpärzle, Spinatknödel und Linsen.... geht besser! Trotzdem gerne wieder!

Immer soooo lecker und wirklich die erste Anlaufstelle, wenn Freunde, Familie u ich essen oder nur was trinken gehen wollen. Und das seit Jahren! Enttäuscht wurden wir noch niiiiieee!!! Waren einmal mit einem Hund da, der wurde sogar beachtet u hat ne Schale Wasser bekommen. Auch das Personal ist immer höflich. Die Biersoße ein Traum genauso der Obazdr u der Beilagesalat, yammie!!!! Und auch die anderen Sachen, die ersten benannten meine Favoriten. Heut fragte ne Freundin, ob wir mal wieder Essengehen wollen, war gleich klar: ins Schlössle 😀

Das Schlössle ist wirklich schön und wir hatten einen schönen Abend für eine Betriebsfeier. Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut nur die Bedienung war ein bisschen zu aufdringlich und indiskret. Ambiente ist gut auf den Bildern wiedergegeben.
