During our visit to the Bratwursthaus in Bochum we ordered a portion of French fries with ketchup - and what can we say? Simply fantastic! The fries were golden yellow, nice and crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside. You can taste that they were freshly prepared and not just from a frozen package. The ketchup was fruity, slightly spicy and perfectly balanced, making it an ideal complement to the fries. There was also the typical flair of the Bratwursthaus: a rustic snack stand with cult status, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere in the middle of Bermuda3Eck. If you're in Bochum, you should definitely try a portion of fries here - they're a real treat!

In the future, you could pay attention to a less greasy preparation. Conclusion All in all, my visit to the Bratwursthaus was very positive. The currywurst is definitely worth a visit and the friendly staff ensures a pleasant atmosphere. If the fries were a little less greasy, it would even get full points.

Why does the vegetarian/vegan sausage cost more than the normal one? This is probably even cheaper to purchase! A disgrace. Fries with sauce for 4.20 euros then the variant.

Apparently they are no longer Dönninghaus products. Still doesn't taste bad, but the prices are too high. - There are only two stars here because people with disabilities in wheelchairs cannot eat properly because of all the bar tables. Today I watched a man in a wheelchair who basically had to eat his food under the table at the bag shelf, how humiliating is that? There must be at least one separate or fold-out table available!

Cult in Bochum. The taste is not my cup of tea (too spicy), but that's because I wanted to eat a real Bochum plate (currywurst with fries).

We ordered from Bratwursthaus for the first time this January and have ordered 2 more times since then (unfortunately we were often sick). Delivery was always on time, often before the stated time, and the food was warm and tasty. The fries are still crispy and not soggy. Today I had a burger and it was also very tasty, warm and not at all soggy. The additional curry sauce we ordered was also very well received by the immediate family. I also had contact with customer service by phone and they were super friendly. Thank you! It won't be the last time we order from you. PS: on the weekend, if I ordered before opening time (e.g. before 3 p.m.), I was able to choose a delivery time in the app that was very late (5:30). When I checked in after 3 p.m. and wanted to order, it was delivered much sooner. This could still be optimized. Best regards

Delicious currywurst at a fair price! We were there on the weekend and only had to queue briefly. We got to know the Bratwursthaus through Eat the World. In addition to normal currywurst, there is also a vegetarian currywurst, pulled pork and a variety of different ones with fries. We had a normal and a vegetarian currywurst each with fries and a drink and paid just over €20 for it. The preparation was very quick. Both curry sausages were very tasty - and the curry sauce in particular was perfect! A highlight for me were the fries, which were very crunchy and tasty. There are tables with high seats outside, but there is an indoor area. All in all, I can fully recommend the Bratwursthaus and we will certainly come back when we are in Bochum again.

First: The currywurst was good as usual. So far we had only eaten locally in town. The prices of everything else beyond good and evil. My twelve year old daughter preferred a burger. The cheeseburger (normal diner size) cost €10.50 without any side dishes, but it didn't fill her up. But it was probably tasty. Unfortunately you could do that with the fries (after 10 minutes of driving they were cold and sticky). I actually think the packaging in paper bags is good because it is more sustainable, but open bags for fries are unsuitable. There was also a piece of stone or glass that my teeth survived when I bit down on it, but I got a scratch in my throat that hurts me, even though I spit out as soon as I noticed it. To my greatest disappointment, the children's chocolate milkshake wasn't to my taste either. It tasted kind of like liquid cream, pretty finished, and had little crumbs in it, like the mixer hadn't been cleaned after mixing my daughter's Oreo shake. All in all a big disappointment at a high price. The two stars are for the sausage.

It is a really tasty currywurst. I took the chili cheese option. This cost 8.90 euros. The sausage didn't blow my mind, but it was good. The same applies to the topping. But there is a sufficient selection of different menu variants. Ultimately, however, for 8.90 you only get half a sliced ​​sausage with topping and a portion of fries. All in one a nice package for after a night out. The ambience directly at the Bermuda Triangle also invites you to linger. Unfortunately, in contrast to the other restaurants, there are no patio heaters when the temperatures are below zero. You can stop here for a sausage that is a bit expensive for my taste but solidly tasty. The classic Bochum sausage is also available on the menu for just 6.90 euros. That's fairer. It's just with curry sauce and mayo on the fries.

Great atmosphere despite the homeless people constantly begging you for money. Unfortunately the musical atmosphere was so poor, but it still makes up for the great food, especially the hot peanut fries. Even the tight delivery boy Colin always brought me my fries warm and with extra sauce. I can only recommend 10/10

For the foods listed, I “put my hand in the fire.” I think it's time for me to turn my attention to the other delicacies. The Bratwursthaus, which we used to affectionately call the BratwurstHÄUSCHEN, has grown into one of the most inviting places for delicious bratwurst meals. Compliment! I think it's nice that the sausage fries, which current customers are already familiar with from their childhood, have always been retained. This is home. The catering, in my case currywurst, also vegan if required, is delivered with bowls, forks and napkins in a borrowed dish chafer. Everything is set up and how to use it is explained in a friendly manner. Exemplary! I can warmly, actually I should write highly, recommend it! Simply get advice early enough, have it delivered, have it prepared and enjoy and enjoy without any worries. And now the desserts are tempting too…. I take this as an assignment. This is our unique bratwurst land of milk and honey here in Bochum. If you don't believe that, you have to go to the Bermuda Triangle or drive to Bessemerstrasse and see for yourself. It's true!

After living in Bochum for 10 years, I can confidently say that the best currywurst in Germany is served at Bratwursthaus. Coming back to Bochum, it was an absolute must to get my currywurst fix, and it did not disappoint! I was pleasantly surprised to see how the menu has expanded since my last visit. The addition of vegan and vegetarian options is a fantastic upgrade. It’s great to see such a beloved local institution keeping up with the times while maintaining the same delicious quality they’re known for. Whether you’re a currywurst traditionalist or looking for a plant-based twist on this German classic, Bratwursthaus has something for everyone. Wirklich lecker! Gehen immer wieder gerne hin. Auswahl ist völlig ausreichend. Bedienung nett und unkompliziert. Steh- und Sitzmöglichkeiten sind vorhanden, nur bisschen unhygienisch, wenn da die Stadttauben rumfliegen... Gäste-WC leider nicht vorhanden.

Typical Ruhrpott charm with lots of local color. The currywurst is good, but certainly not as exceptional as is made out to be, except for the locals. I think any snack bar that works with good butcher's sausages and home-made curry sauce gets the quality. Nevertheless, it was nice to have tried this currywurst.

The Bratwursthaus is simply an institution in Bochum and one of the best currywurst stalls in Germany in the middle of the beautiful Bermuda3eck in the heart of the Potts. Dönninghaus Currywurst is really good and the fries are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside - just perfect when the place isn't on fire and even then the people on site are always relaxed, unless it's Bochum relegation or on match days. For a stopover or to Bochumtotal a visit is mandatory and if you are in the 3eck you have to pay a visit. The price is okay at 6.90. Of course less would be better, but when it comes to the store I say it can cost more. I still go there because the quality is decisive, the staff are treated very well and even inclusion is not an empty phrase there, because the "restricted" works for 5 and has it full of it and yet I often see joy in and in front of the house. I'm already looking forward to my next stop with you

Wir haben heute 2 mal im Bratwursthaus online bestellt : das 1. und das letzte mal! Das Schnitzel so wie der Burgerpattie waren furztrocken und knüppelhart! Die Pommes labbrige Stängel! Der Anfahrtsweg war über 4 km, vielleicht kam es deshalb ziemlich kalt an. Im Grossen und Ganzen nicht zu empfehlen, zumindest Burger, Schnitzel und Pommes.

Always great food (one of the few places fries arrive as yummy as they should be), customizable dishes, many vegetarian options. Currywurst is their signature dish obviously but they also have the best wings in town and great pizza. We especially love their Uncle Sam specials, a twist on the golden arch BigM. Delivery is quick, efficient and reliable if we're ordering to a scheduled time in advance. Have ordered for larger groups too and everyone is happy because they have a variety of options.

I was there again after over 20 years. My tastes have probably changed since then, as the bratwurst in the bun no longer tasted as good to me as I remembered. Personally, it was too greasy for me. I also remembered the sausage being much longer (bigger). Now it's barely bigger than the bun. But who knows, maybe she was always this small and I remember it differently. Het is duidelijk geen restaurant maar Duitse versie van een cafetaria. In de avond uren zeer druk en bereid je maar voor op een lange rij dan . Door de populariteit prijzen aan de hoge kant. Buiten eten in de kou , als was eer aan de zijkant ook een overdekte ruimte. Veel variaties in gerechten maar het gaat natuurlijk om de bradwust die je ook gewoon gelukkig los kan bestellen !

First we entice Black Friday with a 2 for 1 discount, then it turns out that it only applies to a few products and then the code doesn't work - when there's just under 70 euros in the shopping cart, we're told we can't check out because we haven't reached 25 euros - even if you specify collection! Disaster with cell phone, but even when switching to PC nothing worked. Super old-fashioned, unfortunately. Tried in vain for almost an hour and also by phone. No chance. Our guests are just as happy.

You can't beat the friendliness and the currywurst/chips were the best we've eaten so far. We drove to the branch for their delivery service. We were then really pressed for time because the Starlight Express show was starting. Without asking from us, the employees and their boss immediately prepared everything for 4 people to eat immediately and we arrived on time for the performance. I have never experienced such friendliness (we are moving from Bavaria to the Pott... nope;))). I don't give a damn about any star-rated restaurant and their chicness, and if anyone deserves a Michelin star then it's the Bratwursthaus in Essen. We also bought the homemade curry sauce (best ever).

Very tasty but the portions of the currywurst fries have become so small that you can't get enough of them. I'm not the greatest and it costs almost 7 euros. Afterwards we went somewhere else to eat.

We were there recently and were looking forward to a special fries. However, we had to realize that the classic currywurst fries would probably have been better. The portion was good, a bit too much sauce, the sausage was tasty. But otherwise it's just an OK taste experience for far too much money. Next time we'd rather go the classic route, you could never go wrong with that at the Bratwursthaus =)

Placed an order at 18:22. Earliest delivery option was for 19:40 to 20:00. Food finally came at 21:15. 3 hours for some sausage and fries. How stupid do you have to be to be that slow? Food is shit and overpriced also but the kids like it for some reason.

1st order and very pleasantly surprised. Delivery 1a, food great and good portions, the packaging is ecological and at the same time ensures that the food doesn't get soggy. The only small downer - my Chees'nBacon boat had no cheese in the edge (contrary to the description). Gladly again.

Ich musste unbedingt mit Berlin einen Vergleich haben , aber so enttäuscht war ich no nie . Currywurst na ja , wenn der Curry auf der Soße fehlt ist das keine Currywurst , vin der Kositenz nicht schlecht , aber geschmacklich viel zu lasch , Pommes waren Durchschnitt. Also da habe ich selbst in SH schon bessere Currywurst gegessen. Ich kann die guten bewertung nicht versethen. Und klein war die Wurst für das Geld leider auch noch .

The Bratwurst House in Bochum. Every city has its "King". In Bochum it's probably the Bratwursthaus. Very tasty currywurst, very tasty sauce. Fries and other dishes were also very tasty. Nevertheless, other cities also have their "King", I've eaten a lot of currywurst, that's why we went there specifically. Well, as I said, food good, ambience, no go.
