The vegan currywurst is absolutely delicious, but unfortunately, the hottest sauce isn't particularly hot. But that doesn't make it any less delicious!

If you're ever in Bochum, the Bratwursthaus is the place to go. The fries, currywurst, and other fries like Greek or bacon are simply fantastic. We love coming here again and again.

Absolutely the best delivery service in the area! Whether it's pizza, burgers, or schnitzel – everything is super delicious, of very high quality, and delivered reliably and quickly. A clear recommendation!

The Dönninghaus bratwurst and the accompanying sauce are a delight.

The prices have become quite ambitious (a large Bochum plate with a drink and a brownie costs €16.50), but the quality remains top-notch, and rising costs certainly haven't stopped this place. If you're in Bochum, it's still definitely worth a visit!

I ordered fries with currywurst parmagedon as a small snack for over €9. The fries were soggy, lukewarm, and anything but crispy, inedible. When I asked them to leave them in the fryer longer, I was told to throw them away... The answer: I was LOUDLY yelled at (after I asked the lady to please try a fries herself, so she would realize they were neither crispy nor cooked through, but still mushy) with the words: WHAT DO YOU EVEN WANT? THEN JUST THROW THEM AWAY - that was 100% accurate). I've never had to put up with anything like that before, so I left and didn't say anything else. And: I definitely didn't eat my fries, just picked out the sausage! My partner, "starving," ate a few fries after a bike ride, but also left some. And NO, I definitely have absolutely no need to sneak in a second portion (which I didn't ask for) like that. In the photo, you can see the leftover, uneaten fries; here, the ketchup makes them look even prettier than in real life! Thank you for the voucher offer. Unfortunately, I won't be in Bochum for a while, but I think it's very kind and fair – and that's what counts! Unfortunately, I only took one photo (my partner, who ordered "regular" currywurst with fries, gave me his because he hoped his fries would be better cooked than mine...)

Does what it promises, really well

THE currywurst stand in Bochum is supposedly the one about which Grönemeyer made his currywurst song. Currywurst in all variations either as a so-called snack, a currywurst with fries, or as a portion for people from the pot. Two curry sausages with fries. Ours were very tasty. And the ambience with bar tables looks very authentic.

The shop was recommended to me because of its vegan manta platter and I wasn't disappointed. The regular portion was more than enough for me. The vegan sausage was a hit. I haven't eaten currywurst in forever. I hope I come to Bochum again.

The currywurst is just average. The sausage is very soft, the sauce is very creamy and not very seasoned. The ambience is very good for a snack, the service is friendly, quick and courteous despite the stress!

Something different 😉 Burgers and fries tasted very good. Delivery came at the agreed time. Driver super friendly. 4.60 euros delivery fee for an order value of over 45 euros... well. We will be repeat customers, but - due to the delivery fee - not as often.

Wir warn dort, weil wir eine typische "Ruhrpott-Mahlzeit" genießen wollten. Die Fritten waren kaum gebräunt und alles wurde von einem Haufen Mayonnaise überdeckt. Meine Frau reklamierte die Fitten und bekam zur Antwort "Dann werfen Sie doch weg". Auch die Bratwurst war nicht wirklich lecker. Wir haben die Fritten dann stehen lassen.

Ordered from the Bratwursthaus on a Sunday and arrived quicker than expected and was still really hot. The currywurst and the baguette with aioli were super tasty. I can only recommend ordering there because you can tell that the food is of very good quality and you can taste it too. I will order there more often.

The currywurst fries were average. Not very tasty but not bad either. The employees were friendly when ordering but when I wanted to hand over the deposit they lacked friendliness and ignored me... Typical chip shop atmosphere. What was particularly negative was the hygiene. There are pigeons everywhere that walk on the tables and come within a few centimeters of you. They defecate on the tables where you put your food, drinks or your hands. An absolute NO GO for me.

I had to wipe the table myself. The fries were covered in mayo. The sausage was tasty, but very sparse...for the small appetite...very expensive.. All in all, what you get there is quite normal chip shop level.

I cannot recommend this restaurant. Portion extremely small and hair in both fries and sausage. Everything was very dirty in and around the restaurant. Pigeons on the tables and their droppings everywhere. Once and never again.

Was presented to me as the best currywurst in the pot and what can I say. Maybe in the pot, yes. But you can't even come close to the "Currywoschdhaus" in Fürth, for example. Solid currywurst, reasonably priced and decent portions. You can definitely pay a visit. Tasty yes, “the best” no.. ;)

Die Portionen ( Currywurst + Pommes) sind klein und teuer geworden. Wir wurden nicht satt. Die Pommes hatten eine seltsame Konsistenz, waren nicht knusprig wie früher. Zudem gab es viel zu wenig Sauce. Die meisten Pommes mussten daher trocken gegessen werden. Das nächste Mal werden wir wohl woanders hingehen! Sehr schade.

I have to say, this is the best currywurst I've eaten in a long time. First star for the taste. I had the currywurst with the regular sauce. A really delicious sauce with plenty of curry and spices, slightly spicy, and a lovely sweetness and fruitiness. The second star is for the fries. Not too thick, not too thin, not greasy, and really tasty. The third star is for the packaging. Apart from the covering of the currywurst and the mayonnaise, and the fork, everything was made of paper. The fries came in a paper bag, although I initially assumed the fries would get soggy in it, but that wasn't the case at all. The fourth star is for the mayonnaise. It was super tasty and not too greasy in the mouth. I haven't had such good mayonnaise in a long time. The fifth star, and also the highest star, goes to the staff. I introduced myself as a newbie and didn't know my way around. I was immediately shown the menu, and any questions I had, such as the catering, were answered very kindly and in detail. The next time I'm in Bochum, I know I'll be back. You can also pick up sauces, bratwurst, and much, much more. I picked up a 5-pack of bratwurst and a mild curry sauce for the family. I'm looking forward to preparing and eating them. Even though it was just a currywurst with fries, I'm grateful for the delicious food, the great service, and the wonderful atmosphere in the shop. I highly recommend it.

I didn't understand the hype about a flattened patty until yesterday, maybe I didn't want to either. Then came your smashed burger, different but good... really tasty, crispy and juicy!! The smell of the meat, the bun was absolutely delicious (incredibly good combination!), the taste, the onions - thank you for this experience! The burger simply looks authentic, not like a perfectly edited advertisement for a burger, but rather honest and homemade. And that's how it tastes too! For my taste there could be a bit more cheese on it, but that's a matter of taste... I like it very much! Then there are the brownies, which are way too delicious for dessert, brilliant! I have rarely eaten so badly. Currywurst with almost no sauce. Cheese sauce with no taste. Fries are fluffy and tasteless. Even the bacon had no taste. 13.60 euros for the bacon plate were completely wasted!

During our visit to the Bratwursthaus in Bochum we ordered a portion of French fries with ketchup - and what can we say? Simply fantastic! The fries were golden yellow, nice and crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside. You can taste that they were freshly prepared and not just from a frozen package. The ketchup was fruity, slightly spicy and perfectly balanced, making it an ideal complement to the fries. There was also the typical flair of the Bratwursthaus: a rustic snack stand with cult status, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere in the middle of Bermuda3Eck. If you're in Bochum, you should definitely try a portion of fries here - they're a real treat!

Apparently they are no longer Dönninghaus products. Still doesn't taste bad, but the prices are too high. - There are only two stars here because people with disabilities in wheelchairs cannot eat properly because of all the bar tables. Today I watched a man in a wheelchair who basically had to eat his food under the table at the bag shelf, how humiliating is that? There must be at least one separate or fold-out table available!

We ordered from Bratwursthaus for the first time this January and have ordered 2 more times since then (unfortunately we were often sick). Delivery was always on time, often before the stated time, and the food was warm and tasty. The fries are still crispy and not soggy. Today I had a burger and it was also very tasty, warm and not at all soggy. The additional curry sauce we ordered was also very well received by the immediate family. I also had contact with customer service by phone and they were super friendly. Thank you! It won't be the last time we order from you. PS: on the weekend, if I ordered before opening time (e.g. before 3 p.m.), I was able to choose a delivery time in the app that was very late (5:30). When I checked in after 3 p.m. and wanted to order, it was delivered much sooner. This could still be optimized. Best regards

Delicious currywurst at a fair price! We were there on the weekend and only had to queue briefly. We got to know the Bratwursthaus through Eat the World. In addition to normal currywurst, there is also a vegetarian currywurst, pulled pork and a variety of different ones with fries. We had a normal and a vegetarian currywurst each with fries and a drink and paid just over €20 for it. The preparation was very quick. Both curry sausages were very tasty - and the curry sauce in particular was perfect! A highlight for me were the fries, which were very crunchy and tasty. There are tables with high seats outside, but there is an indoor area. All in all, I can fully recommend the Bratwursthaus and we will certainly come back when we are in Bochum again.

First: The currywurst was good as usual. So far we had only eaten locally in town. The prices of everything else beyond good and evil. My twelve year old daughter preferred a burger. The cheeseburger (normal diner size) cost €10.50 without any side dishes, but it didn't fill her up. But it was probably tasty. Unfortunately you could do that with the fries (after 10 minutes of driving they were cold and sticky). I actually think the packaging in paper bags is good because it is more sustainable, but open bags for fries are unsuitable. There was also a piece of stone or glass that my teeth survived when I bit down on it, but I got a scratch in my throat that hurts me, even though I spit out as soon as I noticed it. To my greatest disappointment, the children's chocolate milkshake wasn't to my taste either. It tasted kind of like liquid cream, pretty finished, and had little crumbs in it, like the mixer hadn't been cleaned after mixing my daughter's Oreo shake. All in all a big disappointment at a high price. The two stars are for the sausage.

It is a really tasty currywurst. I took the chili cheese option. This cost 8.90 euros. The sausage didn't blow my mind, but it was good. The same applies to the topping. But there is a sufficient selection of different menu variants. Ultimately, however, for 8.90 you only get half a sliced ​​sausage with topping and a portion of fries. All in one a nice package for after a night out. The ambience directly at the Bermuda Triangle also invites you to linger. Unfortunately, in contrast to the other restaurants, there are no patio heaters when the temperatures are below zero. You can stop here for a sausage that is a bit expensive for my taste but solidly tasty. The classic Bochum sausage is also available on the menu for just 6.90 euros. That's fairer. It's just with curry sauce and mayo on the fries.

Great atmosphere despite the homeless people constantly begging you for money. Unfortunately the musical atmosphere was so poor, but it still makes up for the great food, especially the hot peanut fries. Even the tight delivery boy Colin always brought me my fries warm and with extra sauce. I can only recommend 10/10

The Bratwursthaus, which we used to affectionately call the BratwurstHÄUSCHEN, has grown into one of the most inviting places for delicious bratwurst meals. Compliment! I think it's nice that the sausage fries, which current customers are already familiar with from their childhood, have always been retained. This is home. The catering, in my case currywurst, also vegan if required, is delivered with bowls, forks and napkins in a borrowed dish chafer. Everything is set up and how to use it is explained in a friendly manner. Exemplary! I can warmly, actually I should write highly, recommend it! Simply get advice early enough, have it delivered, have it prepared and enjoy and enjoy without any worries. And now the desserts are tempting too…. I take this as an assignment. We ordered pulled pork for delivery. It was delicious and arrived on time at the stated time. 👍🏼 We can't provide any information about the ambience, but we give each one a total of 5 stars because we're thrilled. 😀 At the turn of the year we even got a free currywurst with a code! Typical Ruhrpott charm with lots of local color. The currywurst is good, but certainly not as exceptional as is made out to be, except for the locals. I think any snack bar that works with good butcher's sausages and home-made curry sauce gets the quality. Nevertheless, it was nice to have tried this currywurst.

Wirklich lecker! Gehen immer wieder gerne hin. Auswahl ist völlig ausreichend. Bedienung nett und unkompliziert. Steh- und Sitzmöglichkeiten sind vorhanden, nur bisschen unhygienisch, wenn da die Stadttauben rumfliegen... Gäste-WC leider nicht vorhanden.
