"Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations; it was the complete opposite of what we'd seen in all the videos on social media. We had hoped for something better; there are definitely better options out there." The restaurant needs a better structure, and they need to do a lot more in the service area. The food arrived late despite our reservation and was mixed up.

Totally overrated, unfortunately. We went there because some YouTubers claimed it was good, but I won't be trusting YouTubers in the future. The sauces come from tubes, and most of the food seems to be frozen. The fries were soggy, and the cheese sauce was awful; everything was just incredibly greasy. The hygiene situation also leaves much to be desired: gloves seem to be unnecessary. People smoked and ate with the same gloves they then used for work without changing them. And this was the same woman who appears in the videos. In short: Totally overrated and the worst burgers I've ever eaten.

I made a reservation for Iftar. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. In the messages, I was initially told to place my order up to two hours before Iftar. Later, I was suddenly told it had to be three hours beforehand. Because of this conflicting information, our reservation was simply canceled. Furthermore, the customer service in the chat was quite disrespectful and rude, instead of trying to find a reasonable solution.

I went to Chickenhood in Bochum (Wattenscheid) and I have to say the food is always very delicious. The wait times are also very short and the service is very friendly, so everything is great :)

I'm always very satisfied with my visit. The chicken is especially delicious, and the entire concept of the restaurant is modern, youthful, and designed with great attention to detail. The pictures of celebrities on the walls evoke fond memories of my youth and create a special atmosphere. The food is always freshly prepared, and you can tell that quality is prioritized over quantity. The owner is also an exceptionally friendly and welcoming person, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. I always love coming back here and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing, the most tender chicken in the world!

Unfortunately, our visit to Chicken Hut in Wattenscheid (Bochum) was a complete disappointment. The burgers were practically drowning in sauce – far too much, sloppily slapped on, completely unbalanced. The actual flavor of the burger was almost entirely lost. The fries were completely unsalted, as was the meat. Overall, everything seemed rushed, uninspired, and prepared without any care. The restaurant itself was very dirty, which only made the already poor impression worse. Hygiene clearly isn't a priority here. The service was also disappointing: The staff seemed unfriendly, disinterested, and unhygienic in their handling of the food. All in all, absolutely not recommended. For the price, you expect significantly better quality, cleanliness, and at least a minimum level of friendliness!

I tried the chicken – it was too crispy, but the flavor was pretty good and it was juicy. Unfortunately, you can only order through Wolt now – but I'll starve because their brilliant programmers were so incompetent. So I can't order from them anymore. ^^ I'd recommend KFC instead.

Unfortunately, it was significantly worse than it appears in many TikTok videos. The fries were cold when I received them. The smash burger is absolutely not worth the price – completely soggy and disappointing in taste. The wait was unnecessarily long. The Big Hood Bowl also wasn't what we expected. A bit of salad, some fries that weren't good either – definitely not the best. Overall, quite uninspired. The decor looks cheap, like basic IKEA furniture, and doesn't create a cozy atmosphere. The drinks were nothing special either – - including Fritz Cola. You either love it or hate it. The surroundings aren't exactly a highlight either, typical Wattenscheid. The only positive things were the sauce on the wings and the popcorn wings. The overall experience isn't worth more than two stars.

The Buffalo sauce is NOT a real Buffalo sauce, but sweet and sour with extra garlic. Hope dashed… the smash burger tastes like absolutely nothing.

We ordered takeout today. When we got home, we noticed that two items were missing. I received a full refund, which is more than commendable. Eating from Chicken Hood is always a special treat for us. The quality, service, and atmosphere are top-notch – highly recommended, and we're looking forward to our next visit! ❤️
