Well I never really give reviews but the food was a complete disappointment, I spent €38 and it didn't taste good.

Totally overrated. The chicken wasn't good at all. The tables were dirty. Music that is too loud and the toilets are a complete disaster.

Thanks to numerous videos on social media, we were very excited about our visit to Chickenhood. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. The order took an unusually long time and when we finally received our meals we were disappointed. The smash burgers had no taste, neither roasted aromas nor spices. The Big Hood was the biggest disappointment; the fries were soggy, the cheese was already hard, and the chicken pieces were neither warm nor crispy.

Not worth a visit! I ordered the regular burger, popcorn chicken, chicken wings and fries. Burger: the patty was way too small, the sauces weren't enough. Unfortunately very disappointing. Popcorn chicken: super tasty, good crunch and juicy. Chicken wings: were juicy, but unfortunately I found a hair in them... Fries: just cold and bland. Yes, the store is totally hyped but wrongly. Price performance has absolutely failed. All in all super disappointing for so much money.

There were 10 of us and we got a table straight away. We ordered food straight away...unfortunately everyone didn't get their food at the same time. The fries were too cold even though the place wasn't full. Taste wise a 10/10 too salty. Many have already been there and have repeatedly said it doesn't taste good at all - it's just the name that is known. Unfortunately I have to say that we won't be coming back again.

Drove there for an extra half hour and then heard from the waiter that we were 40-45 You have to wait for minutes and that you can't make a reservation because they've had bad experiences with reservations and that the people at the bottom of the stairs are waiting like that anyway and that it works even without a reservation! Bottomless impudence for so many people who come specifically for this (see comments, apparently I'm not the only person who had the same problem)…

Very long waiting time (1 hour) until you get a table. If you order, you have to wait another hour for your food, even though it wasn't even full. The burger was a joke. The tender fillets were like rubber. The only thing that tasted somewhat good, but was cold, were the fillet bites. Also very overpriced

There were 4 of us there and we waited about 40 minutes for our food. The food is okay, unfortunately it was hyped too much by social media so we were a bit disappointed and wouldn't come back. The hot wings were not at all seasoned or spicy, which is what you would understand by hot wings. The buffalo wings are simply wings rolled in sweet and sour sauce and a little spiciness. Unfortunately no real buffalo wings. The crispys are good and so are the sauces.

Never again! The first time I wanted to eat at Chickenhood Bochum I was immediately turned away because it was too crowded. When I wanted to give it a second chance, I called ahead to make sure I could come, I was told that if I came now I would come in and that there was the option of having the food delivered or taking it away take. When I was there there was a man who told me straight away that it was full and there would be a 1 HOUR waiting time. I explained the entire phone call to the man and showed him that I had made the phone call and even how long it lasted. I couldn't go in and I couldn't get takeaway either. When he went upstairs and asked, suddenly no one knew about the phone call. Then he had to specially call 5 of his employees/colleagues and make a scene out of it. When people started getting up to see what was going on, I got tired of it and left. Not recommendable!

Chickenhood has really delicious food, I have to say. But the wait, both for a table and for the food itself, was really frustrating. The space is a bit tight and there is only one toilet, which is a real problem with so many guests. Oh yes, and wet wipes would also be super handy after eating. The restaurant definitely has room for improvement, especially in terms of service and facilities.

I had called because I was sent away last time due to the long waiting times to see if I could even pick up the food. The lady on the phone told me that it was best to come over now because there was already a wait and it was getting more and more crowded in the evenings. Less than 15 minutes after the phone call, I was in front of the restaurant and had to argue with security because he accused me of suddenly not being able to pick up food. As if that wasn't enough, the little man brings 5 ​​of his colleagues over to discuss with us - really embarrassing! As if that wasn't enough, he accused me of not having my phone call until I showed it to him on my phone. Really the worst restaurant I've been to, it's not worth discussing for a single minute because he contradicts himself every time. It couldn't be more embarrassing!

All in all, nothing special, it's just the hype from social networks. The hot wings were okay but the buffalo wings didn't taste good at all. ChickenBox was ok too.

We were 4 adults and 2 kids. My food was delicious and the staff were very polite and nice. The boss himself, a super friendly person and super polite, came to our table and asked if everything was okay. We were greeted politely and my kids got a balloon. Recommended.

The staff is super nice. We wanted to eat Iftar there but didn't have a reservation. Nevertheless, we were kindly given a place, albeit with a bit of a wait. The staff was really very nice. We didn't have to wait long for our food even though it was very busy. The food was good, the crispy and smash burgers are particularly recommended. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, and there is also the option to eat outside under a roof.

We were there to break the fast. You could reserve in advance by phone, which I found very good, which meant you avoided long waiting times. We waited almost 25 minutes for our order, which was perfectly fine because the place was really full and everyone got their food one by one. Service was really top. All the employees were super friendly and accommodating. We also really liked the atmosphere. Very nicely modern furnished and above all clean. The terrace was also heated so you could sit without any problems. We ordered a smash burger menu, big hood, buffalo wings and fillet bites. Everything tasted very good especially the smash burger and the buffalo wings. The Big Hood Box could perhaps have been seasoned a little more (bottom salad). The buffalo wings with the slightly sour sweet sauce were our highlight. Really nice and warm and perfectly prepared. You could also get rubber gloves on request so that you don't get dirty while eating, which I personally found very nice. To break the fast you were also given lentil soup and dates. I think the prices are also very fair and you can have the rest packed up. Overall, definitely worth a visit for all burger and chicken lovers. Because of Ramadan, you just have to make a reservation by phone in advance, which also worked without any problems through WhatsApp. Clear recommendation 👍🏻

What a reason there must be to respond to an honest review with such an answer. My review does not have to be submitted on the same day or at a time that suits you. I was in your restaurant with my daughter. Starting with the fact that our order was forgotten, it continued with the incredibly bad, almost disgusting food. The chicken salad was drenched in balsamic vinegar, the chicken was chewy and dry. Not to mention the dirt that was on the tables and everywhere else.

Coming to Iftar, despite the store being so crowded, everything was perfect. The staff were very polite and looked after us very well. Plus, the meat is top notch. 👍🏻 😋

Unfortunately, I can't understand the good reviews at all. You sit surrounded by crates of drinks, which in our case have all been sorted. So it was loud and uncomfortable. It was cold in the restaurant and you had to leave your jacket on. There was no cutlery at the table itself and not when picked up. So we had to eat everything with our fingers. The food was ok, but there was a hair in my chicken. The crowning glory at the end was the toilets... I immediately turned around and didn't bother.

Chickenhood is my absolute favorite restaurant in Bochum! The food is always freshly prepared and incredibly tasty. The selection of chicken dishes is great and there is something to suit every taste. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. You wait 60 minutes for your food because the order gets lost and the food doesn't taste good. The wings are full of fat, the burger buns make it impossible to eat the burgers because they are too soft. The boss is nice but the staff is inattentive. Leave your money somewhere else.

Basically, first of all, a very solid shop, very nice staff, no one was disrespectful or anything else that is sometimes written here in the reviews. There were 6 of us there and we had to wait outside for a few minutes because we were a little early, but then we were able to choose and order the food. Food came quite quickly but was only lukewarm/cold as so often described here. I think it's not that easy when each of 6 people gets 4 different things. Everything was served on one tray, so all the fries on one, all the burgers on one and all the dogs on one, which caused a bit of confusion and back and forth. Food was good, the smash burger was the highlight for me, the wings were stable, I (and my colleagues) were very disappointed with the chicken dog. The bread is simply as if it were good and cheap, very sticky and tasteless. It's a shame for the actually good chicken. All in all not bad, there is room for improvement but I think the chicken needs to be more special for it to be the "main dish" of the place.

The crispy chicken was super tasty and the staff was super nice. We'd love to come back and try out the menu. Finding parking spaces is not easy, as it is right in Wattenscheid's city center on the main street.
