This is a French fries shop like no other! Honest food, generous portions, friendly staff and fair prices – everything is just right here. The absolute highlight: This place is run by a former star chef, and you can taste that in every bite. No matter what you order, it is fully recommended. It can get a little more crowded on the weekend, but that's exactly what contributes to the sociable atmosphere. A real highlight!

The food is very tasty and wholesome. As a guest you simply feel welcome and comfortable. A Ruhrpott fries shop straight out of a picture book. Sausage from the butcher is used for the currywurst and it also has a really nice taste. The sauce is of course homemade. The fresh schnitzels are also highly recommended. Special recommendation: the taxi plate, meat and tzatziki are simply great. But you shouldn't plan anything afterwards because of the tzatziki 😉😅. I've been going here for a good 20 years and hope that Mr. Ostendorp still has a few more years until retirement.

We pre-ordered food for 25 people from Profi Grill for my birthday. Schnitzel, shashlik, currywurst, croquettes, fries, various sauces and salads. The food was fantastically good. My guests were thrilled!! In addition, more was cooked as ordered and we were very full. Our best birthday meal yet!!! I can only recommend it!!

Because of the good reviews, we decided to order something from the “Profi Grill”. Unfortunately, we had something different in mind here. As soon as I called, an unfriendly employee answered who apparently didn't want to take orders at all. Unfortunately we can't say anything positive about the food either. The currywurst tastes strange, the sauce is watery and the fries were soft and without salt. Too bad.

Was in the professional grill again after a long time! C sausage with fries, very good taste, the fries golden yellow...great. Ambience like that you often find in the “Pott”, but clean. Service from the two ladies was courteous and very friendly...again at any time.

I was at the Profi Grill for the first time today and it was a nice experience. I only know such a nice greeting from Canada, I immediately felt at home. I ordered a currywurst fries with special sauce and it was really tasty. If the sauce had been available to buy separately, I would have picked up a bottle straight away. There are several seats available, everything is very clean and well maintained and the order was brought to the table in no time. I will definitely come back again to try the shashlik and a schnitzel from the pan. I parked on the street. Outside there are covered bar tables, ashtrays and a bench.

Typical atmosphere in the small dining room, daily newspaper, deck of cards on the table (if you need a distraction), fast, competent and attentive service. Well frequented at any time of day and always worth a visit.

Hello, I went there on the recommendation of a work college and it wasn't a hit! I can't understand the currywurst that everyone is so excited about! There are far better ones out there. Quaint chip shop, the owner greeted us at the door with a handshake, even though it was our first time there. Fries were good, currywurst too. The Jägerschnitzel was okay. Furnishings were back in the past, but absolutely beautiful. Nice people with whom we shared the table, we'll come back and then hope for truffle mayo.

I had a currywurst with fries and mayo. I found the curry sauce very boring. The meat quality was good. Fries were standard fries. High quality mayo. You can eat, but I wouldn't go there specifically.

The restaurant looks like it has fallen out of time, but it is clean and the employees used their time to clear away and clean. Every sauce we tried was homemade. The curry sauce could have used more bang for me but tastes differ. The shish kebab was tender and very good. The schnitzel was very tasty and the gypsy sauce was very tasty. The hunter's sauce tasted delicious like mushrooms. The portions are large. This wasn't our last visit.

Four of us were there for chicken on Saturday evening. My father, my brother and his wife were there shortly after 7:30 p.m. and placed the order straight away. I arrived about ten minutes later. The waitress behind the counter was complaining the whole time. She then asked us what we would like to eat now because she wanted to finish work. Even though the order was placed before I arrived, I had to pass it on again because she didn't remember what we had ordered. I used to come here very often, and my father also often came here for chicken dinners. From now on we'll let it go.

25 years ago I often ate currywurst fries there. There must be a new owner, the recipe for the sauce has changed, all the pictures on the walls are gone. It doesn't taste like it used to.

Based on the many reviews, I ate a schnitzel with fries and salad there. I was very disappointed. So you can get it in hundreds of food stalls. Miles away from star cuisine and culinary skills in general. The “homemade sauce” is the usual mix of ready-made products. The schnitzel is small and dark brown from the deep fryer. Loveless salad side dish. Fries are standard. However, the owner does everything to keep his image up. Completely overrated.

On the way to Bottrop we drove via Bochum. Ordered currywurst, fries, mayo and a cola, wonderful. The order was also brought to the table outside, great currywurst, good sauce. It was absolutely worth it, any time again!

I still know Kurt's chip shop, my sister lived almost next door...it was a long time ago, we were really looking forward to Kurt's frikadelke with Kurt's sauce, unfortunately we were very disappointed, the sauce was definitely no longer Kurt's recipe.. .the consistency was more slippery, like jelly. That was the last time I ate there...service and food were great as always...until the kitchen lady came out and wanted to take my plate...even though I was still eating...I just told her...that I just want to finish the schnitzel and she just said in annoyance...that she had enough to do and that I should hurry up...Where at that moment I really thought I wasn't hearing properly...She then went into the kitchen in annoyance and... complained to some gentleman about it...since I was sitting at the very last table...where the connection to the kitchen apparently is...you could hear them both very clearly as the lady and the gentleman complained loudly about me as a guest. .made fun of me and that kind of behavior is actually not acceptable

So for a star chef / or a snack bar that calls itself a professional grill, that's really a poor performance that is offered to you! The curry sauce is far too thin and has no power or taste at all! The sausage tastes mediocre, but the Aviko fries are okay! The meatballs for €2.50 taste like the pre-packaged ones from Lidl and are also dripping with oil The service is nice and works very quickly!

Hello, here from the county of Bentheim for a double currywurst and it was extremely tasty, plus a real, honest Ruhrpott ambience for free.

If you expect star cuisine, you're in the wrong place here. Anyone who is looking for something other than a kebab shop, Asian snack bar or pizza man and is open to Ruhr area nostalgia from the 70s will feel at home here. The 5th star would be there if there were also salt eggs.

As you can see, I have my driving address. I come from Oberhausen about 43km to enjoy my currywurst at Reimund's professional grill. And last but not least, I especially wanted to take the super sauce with me. Bon appetit.

I always enjoy eating a currywurst here. It tastes good here. Today we visited a shop nearby and finally thought, let's eat a currywurst! Less than 10 minutes later we were in the restaurant and ordered. You can park on the street, if you're lucky there are a few parking spaces. Attention, it's a 40 zone ;-) The waitresses were, as always, very friendly and nice and we also received our food quickly. Lovely garnished with a bit of parsley. The fries were nice and crispy and the currywurst was outstanding. If you're ever in the area, don't hesitate and try the sausage! The best currywurst in the pot ;-)

Addendum: I definitely got food poisoning! 😤 HANDS OFF!!! After all the good reviews I thought I'd give it a try there. Sorry but, the currywurst smelled strange, the fries may have been next to the salt but never saw any and the curry sauce was watery and not good. And the fact that the sausage was bad this afternoon is now evident from my extreme nausea and stomach problems. I should have trusted my nose and taste, but hunger at least accounted for half of it. And for 10€, you can get better for less money elsewhere. Conclusion: Unfortunately not recommended at all.

Top snack in Wattenscheid! When we're out and about and drive past Wattenscheid, we go to the Profi Grill. I come all the way from East Westphalia and I'm totally thrilled. We recommend the gypsy schnitzel with fries. The service and the boss are very friendly. See you next time .

We were there for the first time and ordered two gypsy schnitzels and a hunter schnitzel. The taste of the food was an 8/10, the portion was totally appropriate, the fries could have been a little more salted but they were also super tasty. The food was warm, as was the staff - very friendly. The place is really cute, the floor was a bit slippery but not a problem. We would like to come again!

In Wattenscheid there is certainly an “institution”, the good old chip shop from “around the corner”! Real Ruhrpott style and nostalgically furnished. The restaurant took part in the culinary scavenger hunt. We were greeted very unfriendly. The staff seemed to be relatively annoyed by the visitors to this event. Only when asked was a vegetarian alternative reluctantly offered. The food is ok. The service needs improvement.
