Today I wanted to eat a delicious burger. Waiter David gave me detailed advice and I then put together a smashed burger. It was a feast, the meat was super tasty and everything went together perfectly. In the end I was more than full. The best burger in Karlsruhe and very nice staff, I'll be back!

We were in the store yesterday (Saturday) with a total of eight people and had a great meal! 🍔🥩 The location is super nice, the menu offers a great selection of burgers - and best of all: you can put together your burger completely according to your own wishes! There is also a nice selection for vegetarians. 🌱 Particularly cool: Anyone who creates a burger with four or more patties will end up in the Hall of Fame with a Polaroid - a really brilliant idea! One of our colleagues even topped it: He ate two burgers with 5 patties each - a total of 10 patties! 😱 According to the waitress, the previous record was seven. That was simply legendary, and of course he was allowed to immortalize himself with a picture. 📸 The waitresses were all really friendly, relaxed and had a super friendly atmosphere. Only when the second 5-pattie burger was ordered was the skepticism briefly visible - hahaha! 😂 Understandable, with 1.5 kg of meat! Conclusion: A great burger shop with delicious food, a creative idea and a great team! Absolute recommendation! 🍔🔥 Greetings from our hungry troops! 😄

Big drawback... terrible toilet... it stinks and isn't often clean... the material is not good for the catering business... sink too high... really poor standard... everything is somehow broken/rancid... a bit careless... not possible at all

There were five of us there (3E, 2K). The ambience is authentic and special, clean and clear, but the tables are unfortunately a bit cramped. We were immediately greeted and shown to our table. You can put together your burger any way you want. But there are also ready-made menus. There is something for everyone. The burgers are all fresh and delicious.

We absolutely loved our visit to this restaurant. The burgers are simply delicious and juicy. Special praise goes to Cedric, who served us. He is incredibly friendly, attentive and makes you feel comfortable straight away. He also kept us entertained with his charming manner and great conversations. We were surprised by the slightly steep bill, 117 euros for 5 burgers and fries with drinks. It's not for every budget. Aside from the expensive price, the service was quick and the food was good.

We had reserved a table here for the company Christmas party. (8:30 p.m.) The food was good and the service was okay too. Unfortunately, we were informed before 10 p.m. that the kitchen was closing and we had to order our last round of drinks. This was of course very annoying, as the opening times are stated until 11 p.m. Unfortunately, we were no longer able to order dessert.

By far the highest quality burger shop in Karlsruhe. I refer to Peter's statement. I would also like to mention that Luise is an extremely capable and likeable waitress. She should be given more responsibility in the future and considered for personnel management.

After an unfriendly greeting, we took a seat at the table. When the waitress came to bring us the menu, she simply threw it on the table. The food was ok, but unfortunately far too expensive for the quality. As we cashed in, our group was engrossed in one-on-one conversations. When this was too stressful for the waitress, she tried to interrupt the conversation using a method from special education, the so-called silent fox. Overall it was a disappointing evening

I've eaten here many times and have always been satisfied until today... but today it was bottom drawer. I've never experienced anything like that in a restaurant. Table wasn't cleaned properly and was disgusting and sticky. Afterwards we were given the menu for about 20 minutes. I said we would like to order a drink straight away, but we were ignored and the waiter simply walked away. After about 10 more minutes he came and took our order. That was also a difficult birth. We then waited about 15 minutes, then our food came (very quickly, no problem), but BEFORE drinking!!!? I also said that the bun on my burger was wrong at first glance and the second waiter offered to bring me one with the right bun but didn't want to let it go back because I found it unnecessary and the other bun was for me wasn't bad. Then I waited at least another 10 minutes to drink and nothing came. Then I got up and went to the waiter and said that we would like to have our drink now. Only then did it come. Impossible... Then finally drank something and bit into my burger. Instead of melted onions, put fried onions on top. I could forgive the wrong bun, but I couldn't have fried onions instead of melted ones, so I turned to the waiter and said that I had ordered melted onions and not fried onions. He looks at me very confused and asks what the difference is!!!???? Sorry, but you should know something like that in the restaurant and you should also know what you have on the menu... I explained it to him and he said whether that was even on the menu, to which I replied, of course. He looked at me strangely and asked me what he should do now and only a moment later offered to bring me a new, correct one. I then waited 5-10 minutes for this, which was okay. Then the second waiter came with the burger and complained to me completely, "Young lady, you could have had the burger returned straight away if you didn't like the bun". That's not possible, plus I didn't let it go back because of the bun and the other waiter knew that too and even if it did, it doesn't give the second waiter the right to attack me so cheekily. He said shush to my mom when she tried to explain that it wasn't because of the bun. Absolutely asiozal behavior. When it came to paying I was also deducted. Single classic burger with fried egg, bacon and melted onions are 19.50€ then I actually had Knapper fries for 3€ and then I also got normal ones for 5€ and cashed in. Because in the end I had a bill of €31 something and I only had one friend. In my opinion the first wrong burger was billed with the brioche bun (€2 more) and the more expensive fries. It definitely doesn't work at all. I was actually always here when I was in Karlsruhe, but after that horror day I wasn't there anymore. Reply to owner: As I said, it was the same day I posted it, hence today. So on Saturday, November 16th, 24th. Were there around 2:15 p.m. Sat in the back area in the corner where the bench is in the corner. I don't know the waiter's name. There were definitely 2.

Had two burger menus last night. Our waiter Thomas gave us detailed advice on the menus and explained the concept of the restaurant to us. The meat is fresh and is minced daily on site. There are no freezers. Even before we ordered, Thomas gave us two free samples of a cocktail he was developing. The food was served to us just a few minutes after we ordered. My burger was perfectly medium as ordered, the fries on the side were crispy and potato-y. This is how you will be remembered fondly. 👌

I ordered three burgers, but unfortunately they were all inedible - unfortunately the money was wasted.

Great burger, by far the best in Karlsruhe. They even put the meat through the meat grinder themselves and make the patties themselves. I don't think it exists anywhere else anymore. The service is also great. And things are going fast here. And also a chic facility. Absolute recommendation, 5 stars plus.

An absolutely wonderful restaurant with a very, very great atmosphere and burgers that are simply great, I would describe them as an adventure on the tongue, it's not my first time here either, today we were served by the lovely Madlene, she has a good and Fast and great service, as well as the burgers today that were made by the chef “Abu” an absolute dream, I can only recommend it to everyone, an absolutely great experience every time. If you want the best burgers, Bratar is the best shop, only fresh ones Absolutely high-quality ingredients are used as well as in the drinks, which are just as wonderful as the food I will definitely go to Bratar for burgers only

It was my first time here and I didn't know what I wanted to order. Then a very nice waitress came up to me on a first name basis and gave me advice. The service was very good and the food came very quickly and tasted very good. It was the best burger I have ever eaten and is recommended for a nice evening. The meat was such good quality.

Update 2024: Bratar continues to promise very good food. The vegan burgers also sound and taste great! After the renovation it's really tight. You disturb eating guests by pushing through to your own table and bumping into the chair behind you when you sit down or stand up. That's annoying! The prices are reasonable and according to current prices. Normal for good quality food. 2020: Super! Had great entrecote and burgers. Nice service - that's why only 4 - not outstanding.

One of the best burgers in Karlsruhe. We have been coming to Bratar very often since it opened in 2009. The burgers and other dishes are all made from fresh ingredients and come to the table quickly and hot, despite the restaurant being full. Today the service (in the back area) was particularly nice and on point. You're also welcome to tip a little more.

We've been to bratar several times because the food is really good. The service could be better. Our apple spritzer wasn't brought despite two requests, and special requests couldn't be accommodated for calculation reasons (!?)... we wanted to order an extra portion of spaetzle. With children you don't feel quite as welcome. What also really has room for improvement is the cleanliness of the toilets. The restaurant itself has otherwise nice, cozy furnishings. Given the prices for a burger, you would expect a better overall package.

Best burger in Karlsruhe. 0.0 TK goods are used here. Here you can taste the freshness. I can only recommend it to anyone who wants to eat a great burger. The steaks, salads and vegan products are also top. Had an anniversary there with the complete range. Everyone extremely satisfied. And the staff is also super correct and nice. Top work Bratar!!!!

The Bratar Burger was our best discovery of our short stay in Karlsruhe. Tasty dishes, many vegetarian options, a friendly atmosphere and dishes served VERY quickly! No doubt that it's homemade, and no doubt that the employees love their work. A big thank you in particular to our waitress Luise, who took the time to translate the menu for us, and to advise us on the best dishes while always being very pleasant. Recommended, re-recommended and over-recommended.

The food is really good and you feel very comfortable there. The service is also good. We were served very friendly. What is not possible, and that is why I only give it two stars overall, is the almost outrageous prices. The two of us were there at lunchtime and each had a burger with fries and a drink each. The only special request was an additional slice of meat on one of the burgers (double). We also had ketchup and mayo with it. We paid a total of 60 EUR!!! For burgers and fries!!! The better quality that is advertised is definitely not worth it. It's a shame, but with prices like that I can't recommend it and we'll definitely go somewhere else next time.

The burgers with chili cheese fries were very tasty, as was the "dead by chocolate".

Extremely veggie/vegan unfriendly! All vegan/vegetarian burgers cannot be ordered as double/triple etc., which is what the whole store seems to identify with. The bland-tasting grilled vegetables were the size of a Lego Duplo, so it was impossible to leave them on the burger. A little tip to everyone, don't order cole slaw as a side dish, but rather fries because this side dish automatically comes with cole slaw. While the coleslaw comes without any additions. Both the service and the store itself seemed overwhelmed by a large group. This raises the question of why one would accept such a reservation knowing that the ambience would suffer as a result. The strong Cuba Libre and the knowledge that we won't be eating out here anymore remain positive in our minds.

Super deliculious food. The steak portiona are amazing. You get a huge plate with grilled veg, herb butter and crisped up rosmarin on the bottom. The burger was also really nice Meat quality was good.

Already had several experiences with the restaurant. The price quoted here is in no way justified. This is mainly due to the miserable service, which I wouldn't even accept in a cheap diner. Food is delivered to the wrong table and then brought back to the right place after the other (stranger) person had the food in front of them for several minutes. When I asked if that was correct, all I got was “Yes, that’s fine.” The blame is always placed on the customer. If you forget something when ordering, you will be told that you can't do anything about it and that's just the way it is. Unfortunately, this behavior has gotten worse over the years. Unfortunately, it is now the rule and not uncommon (even if you do encounter friendly and courteous service from time to time) The food is tasty, high quality and leaves little room for criticism, but the general conditions are simply no longer right. It's a shame, Bratar used to be a really nice place to go and a great tip for a good meal. Unfortunately, at the moment I can only advise against it. There are now significantly better alternatives in this price segment.

Personally found the burgers overpriced and secondly of poor quality. I wonder from the other reviews if their benchmark is Mecces since they thought the burgers were so good.

Unfortunately it wasn't rump steak as we know it. Not a single fiber of fat was seen🙄and you could only order medium or rare, which I didn't like as a medium-rare lover, but the waiter was very friendly and the cocktails were also delicious. The walls weren't painted well, but they were nice nonetheless.

Nothing wrong with a great burger that packs a punch. I chose a double smashed burger. Fresh ingredients that you can taste and the chili cheese fries were also very good. Food was prepared super quickly after ordering, the menu is clearly laid out and the service is top.

I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

If you want to enjoy good (and plentiful) citizens, you can't ignore Bratar. There are all variants from the good standard to individual citizens and from simple to 6-fold up to the veggie burger.

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was simply outstanding – fresh, tasty and perfectly prepared. I was particularly impressed by the speed with which our dishes were served. I can only recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit!

We recently ate here again. Wife, son and me. Food was of the usual good quality. Ordered 3 burgers with side dishes and 3 drinks (2x water and a soft drink). Then the bill came and I almost fell backwards out of my chair. Didn't really pay attention to price changes during the ordering process (I know...it's my own fault): 99 EUR and a few cents. On my last visit this year, the same selection of food for a total of around 75 EUR. I spoke to the (really very friendly staff) after I had swallowed the big dumpling. They had to admit that there were price increases and that I wasn't the first to complain about it. Sorry Bratar. I will no longer go along with this pricing policy and will stay away from you as a customer in the future. A real shame. I always enjoyed being with you ☹️

Everything is just wow! It's a shame I don't live nearby, otherwise I would be here more often! The food was very tasty with delicious ingredients and also a feast for the eyes!

UPDATE: Even though the food is still delicious, the prices are now very exorbitant. While we used to go there every few weeks, the burgers are no longer worth the high price. Due to the modular model, the prices initially look moderate, but they quickly add up to €30 per burger with a side dish. 7 years ago: Outstanding burgers, prices are reasonable

Allergens were not shown correctly on the menu (burrata burger), so we had to return the burger with pesto to be on the safe side (nut allergy) and then the replacement burger came after 30 minutes due to a lack of staff. And we were there on a Tuesday evening. P.S. We had to wait another 20 minutes because you first have to collect a group of 22 people individually and the other condition was that we were not allowed to collect - “we are not allowed to share the tables” …

A great burger shop. Especially when you take into account the price you pay at lunch (as a student, I occasionally go out for lunch burgers with my friends). The different burgers are particularly appealing here. We've had everything from Maultaschen burgers to pear burgers. We always like it and you receive a warm welcome.

As always, the food was very good and so was the service. Small drawbacks in the ambience due to the sticky table surface, which was still "sticky" even after cleaning. Sanding and resealing might help here. Otherwise everything was great, as always! Gladly again!!

Last Friday I went to Bratar for the first time with my former class. We had reserved in advance for 12 people. On site we suddenly only got two separate tables in a row, so we couldn't all sit together, which was the point of the meal. The waitress was super nice and tried to sort it out for us, but the shift manager clown had some problem letting us into the next room where we could all have sat together. And the chef's clown has a problem with putting two tables together, which in this case wouldn't have made any difference to the other guests in terms of space. He even installed a camera to check whether the waiters would allow it 🤡 The food itself is good, I can't say anything about that, but regardless of all that, I don't think it's really worth the price. But that's up to each person, what I don't think is right is the reservation and the tables. I will definitely prefer to go to DeliBurger or Hans im Glück in the future

Went to bratar for lunch today - the food was absolutely lovely and the homemade lemonade was amazing! Definitely recommended for an easy-going lunch date.

The food tasted excellent. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right... two burgers, single... with only an additional topping, fries and a drink for 52 euros I think is quite overpriced..
