Wonderful. It was delicious and a perfect evening. Highly recommended if you're looking for something special.

We expected more... There were two of us for lunch. We both ordered the entrecote. It was okay, but not good. Especially not for €60 with fries. The service was very friendly and attentive. But for a lunch with only one main course, waiting more than 30 minutes for the food is far too long. And our only special request regarding the side salad didn't work out either... On the plus side, they didn't charge us for the espresso afterwards, which somewhat compensated for the disappointment. Overall: The price/performance ratio for lunch was not right.

We've been frequenting the Stadthaus Brasserie for many years – but this time, for the first time, we were bitterly disappointed. The cold welcome was already disconcerting, accompanied by the request to take our coats with us and hang them up at the table next to the restrooms. The real disappointment began with the appetizer. We had ordered escargots, among other things, and – as in the past – expected a classically presented dish where the snails could shine. Instead, we received a carelessly arranged, baked tapas dish in which mashed potatoes, sweetbreads, and snails had been fused into a generic mass. The taste was bland, the texture undefined, and at €26, the most outrageous price I've ever encountered in fine dining. Pointing this out to the waiter only resulted in a shrug and the remark that they occasionally adjust the dishes – a response that only amplified our displeasure. The venison main course was equally lackluster: bland in flavor, sparsely seasoned, with only the sauce hinting at any skill. The mashed potatoes unfortunately echoed the disappointment of the appetizer. Even the raspberry sorbet dessert couldn't salvage the experience. In short: the most disappointing dining experience we've had in Düsseldorf so far. Spending over €100 per person and then feeling frustrated and considering eating at the Christmas market, it was simply not an experience we'd want to repeat.

Spectacular food. Everything was delicious and not heavy at all. We go every year during the MEDICA trade fair, and the waiter (who speaks Spanish) always gives us excellent recommendations.

They are knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and can offer recommendations. They are also fluent and friendly in English. One of the top addresses in Düsseldorf.

Ate in the Brasserie Stadthaus for the first time today – and I’m thrilled! The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the cuisine was simply superb. An all-round successful visit – highly recommended!

The food was good, but our server was terribly rude. He disrespectfully corrected our guests and ignored their requests. Finally, he told us we should leave a tip of at least 10%. This man didn't deserve a single cent, and he still decided to tell us this. I will never go to this restaurant again because the service was so poor, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

We had a business dinner with our Dutch guests, and the service was an absolute disaster! The waiter constantly mocked our Dutch guests, correcting them in an extremely aggressive and tactless manner—even though they speak excellent German. He pretended not to understand them and was consistently rude. At the end of the evening, the waiter even complained that he hadn't received a sufficient tip! The food in the restaurant isn't bad, but after such abysmal service, you honestly lose your appetite. It ruined our entire stay. I really can't recommend this place!

The waiter was an arrogant man. I ordered a bavette, as stated on the menu. According to him it was not a bavette, but a rump steak. The pate on the menu was also not pate according to him. Yet it was stated that way on the menu. He was constantly correcting people, which was rather rude. Because of his rude behavior we gave a small tip. Actually he did not deserve any tip. He also commented on that. I would fire this man on the spot. We will never come here again. Too bad, because the food was not bad.

The dishes were all very tasty and very well crafted. Nevertheless, the dishes are rather simple compared to the possibilities of the kitchen (see Instagram) and considering the prices. The plate language is solid but not outstanding. The service was good.

First-class food as part of an excellent menu on New Year's Eve. The dishes were all very tasty and the courses were perfectly coordinated. The menu was expensive, but not too expensive and generally absolutely reasonable in terms of value for money. The waiter with the fancy mustache was very attentive and also made me a kind of wine accompaniment to the meal based on his recommendation, since none was directly offered. Really great! All in all, an unforgettable evening in a beautiful atmosphere.

Sehr beengte Platzierungen, Beilagen kalt, geschmacklich alles recht gut, aber nicht ganz dem Preis entsprechend. Lange Wartezeit auf jeden Gang, dann falsche Hauptspeise geliefert. Jedoch eine Suppe zur Überbrückung gebracht und ein Glas offener Wein nicht berechnet und sehr freundlich entschuldigt. Dieser Abend war das erste Mal, dass es etwas holprig lief. Die anderen Male, besonders im Sommer auf der Terrasse waren wir immer sehr zufrieden.

The food was amazing and very tasty. However the service was quite bad. It felt like there was one waiter for the side of the restaurant where our table was, so he was very rushed. We were nearly finished with the course before we got the drinks and also had to find our own coats in the wardrobe. Also, no music in the restaurant. Food was great but we will most likely not come back.

Das Essen entsprach voll unseren Erwartungen. Kleine Anekdote: unser Kellner erschien leicht pikiert, daß wir zu Beginn kein Wasser bestellten, hatte aber ziemlich schnell seine Fassung wiederbekommen und hat eine tollen Job gemacht.

Very good French cuisine and delicious wines. This is really fun. The dishes are expensive but appropriate for the quality. I had the menu today and was very impressed by the variety. The service was really nice too. The atmosphere is really super interesting. In the end, there is a large dining room that gets really busy when there are as many people as there are today. But I like that. It was very lively. We were still able to talk. Take a look at the ceiling. Crazy, right? I forgot to ask how old the house is… Until next time. :)

Excellent anniversary lunch, food was exceptional.

Insgesamt wirklich zu empfehlen. Die Speisen waren sehr gut angerichtet, fast schon zu gut für eine `Brasserie´. Aber passend zum ehrwürdigen Ambiente mit der wunderschönen Decke, allemal stimmig. Weine zum Ende des Jahres nicht mehr alle vorhanden, leider auch kaum noch mehr als ein bezahlbarer Rosé. Leider hat man, wie auch bei vielen anderen Gastronomen, hier auf eine gute Akustik verzichtet wie sie zum Beispiel von der Krefelder Firma acusta umgesetzt wird. Hier sollte sicher nachgebessert werden. Mit zunehmender Personenanzahl und zu späterer Stunde ist es wirklich sehr (lebhaft) laut. Dennoch ein toller Abend.

Leider hatte ich direkt nach dem Essen starken Durchfall. Ich vermute, dass etwas an der Pilzlasagne nicht in Ordnung war. Außerdem hat der Nachtisch (Schokoladentarte mit Birne) meinem Mann und mir kein bisschen geschmeckt. Schade!

For me, the restaurant has always been a good address for French cuisine. Now, after years, I was taught better, first we were served a cork-tasting champagne as an aperitif. The selection of good open wines was very poor, after trying two wines we switched to a bottle. Of the three starters we ordered, one came that wasn't ordered, but something else. We only got bread and butter as a starter when we asked for it, although it was usual. The main course was almost cold and anything but excellently cooked. The waiter kept apologizing and wanted to bring the restaurant manager to our table, but he apparently didn't think it was necessary to appease the whole thing. Unfortunately, we didn't receive any compensation for this disastrous evening until we left the restaurant.

Wir waren gestern erstmalig und auf Empfehlung in der Brasserie Stadthaus. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und zum Tisch begleitet. Die Auswahl der Speisen ist vielfältig und abwechslungsreich. Geschmacklich waren alle Speisen hervorragend. Ebenfalls hat uns die Präsentation der Speisen überzeugt. Die Kellner waren freundlich, aufmerksam und zurückhaltend. Einen Wermutstropfen gibt es allerdings. In diesem doch gehobenen Ambiente empfinde ich Papierdecken als unangebracht und gehört für mich nicht auf einen schön gedeckten Tisch.

Brasserie Stadthaus is a top-class restaurant. Expectations can and must be high here, which means there is a risk of disappointment. We weren't disappointed. We spent a lovely evening in the brasserie. The entrecôte, aged for 6 weeks, fries, Béarnaise sauce was a poem and one of the best pieces of meat I have ever eaten in a restaurant. The cod was delicious and perfectly prepared. The starters also leave no room for criticism. If you're in a fancier squad and are willing to eat out for two people without dessert for +€150, you've come to the right place. We can only recommend the Brasserie Stadthaus.

Wir waren zum Abendessen an einem Samstag mit 30 Personen in der Brasserie. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hat uns sehr gut betreut. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr schön französisch und das Essen sehr lecker sowie die Weine. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sicher bald wieder.

Wonderful pickled char first (really great!!) followed by steak fries as asked. (Perhaps the best Béarnaise sauce!) The only thing missing was a lamp on the table in the beautiful courtyard.

Geschäftsessen mit 2 Personen, sehr aufmerksamer Service. Sehr freundliche Bedienung vom Empfang bis zum Abschied. Wohl sortierte Speisekarte. Das Ambiente könnte für meinen Geschmack etwas moderner wirken. Die Brasserie ist als Ensemble für mich wahrnehmbar an das Hotel De Medici angegliedert, welches ein ähnliches Ambiente aufweist.

Unfortunately not recommended for private celebrations We had already reserved a table for our wedding dinner in August at the beginning of March 2024. We were there again in June for dinner and also wanted to discuss the details for our wedding dinner. Since the restaurant manager was on vacation, we were supposed to get in touch again in 2 weeks, which we did and then found out that our wedding dinner in August couldn't take place because the restaurant would be closed that day due to the gourmet festival. We are very angry about this, especially since the restaurant didn't think it was necessary to inform us about it themselves, but only when we asked. There was no real apology either. Only the cancellation came via OpenTable. Unfortunately there is a lack of professionalism, reliability and empathy. Unfortunately it is not a well-run restaurant. Please stay away from this restaurant, especially for private celebrations and the like.

Ich war zum ersten Mal da. Für Fans der französischen Küche ein absolutes Muss!

Schade! In dem wunderschönen Innenhof neben der Andreaskirche sitzt man wirklich sehr angenehm! Auch wenn man zwischendurch ertragen muss, dass Leute mit ihren Autos dort hinein-und hinausfahren. Doof nur, dass ausgerechnet zur Mittagszeit - wenn alle Gäste beim Essen sind - der Rasen gemäht wird. Schlechtes Timing. Das Essen hat dem Preis nicht entsprochen. Mein Gemüse war derart hart, dass man von knackig gar nicht mehr reden konnte. So entwickeln die einzelnen Gemüsesorten auch kein eigenes Aroma und alles schmeckt mehr oder weniger gleich. Mindestens bei den Erbsen war es Tiefkühlware. Und das in einer Zeit, in der es viele frische Gemüsesorten gibt. Allein der Teelöffel groß abgemessene Rotkohl war geschmacklich sehr gut. Schade auch, dass wir keinen Hugo als Aperitif bestellen konnten. Die Bar sei noch geschlossen. Die Bedienung hat versucht, selbst tätig zu werden, aber leider keinen Holundersirup gefunden. Unfassbar! Dieser Besuch braucht keine Wiederholung.
