Boujee in Berlin

I would like to share my experience of visiting this restaurant. I was there a week ago and just woke up emotionally. Let me start with the fact that I was a frequent guest of this establishment, I even celebrated my mother’s birthday there. Not even a foot! The owner of the establishment is rude. The kitchen has relaxed compared to even last year. It's a pity, because there were good prospects. Special thanks to the waiters, they enhance the overall atmosphere.

Totally miserable. Had chicken on a skewer with fried potatoes. The boss recommended that it was very good. 🤣The portion was very small, so I left hungry. The chicken was dry as the Sahara and boring. The potatoes were OK. The music is western pop music and too loud and has nothing to do with Central Asia. My prediction: they will soon be bankrupt

Great ambience, the furnishings alone are really “boujee”. High-quality, authentic food from Uzbekistan, Georgia, Ukraine, etc. that you rarely find in Berlin.

Excellent service, friendly and helpful waiters. Even though we had to wait for one dish longer, they apologized and made sure it was delivered in several minutes. And their Borscht was very good.

Rating: 2/5 Yesterday I was in this restaurant with a group of four people because we were looking forward to a lovely evening in a sophisticated atmosphere. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Service was extremely slow: drinks came one after the other and food was not served at the same time. While some at the table already received their dishes, others still had to wait, which meant that eating together was not possible. My own food was even cold when we were finally able to start eating together. Additionally, an advertised specialty was not available when ordering, which was also disappointing. The food was tasty, but due to the poor organization and lack of timing, you couldn't really enjoy it. You would expect a lot more from a restaurant in this price range. Unfortunately, it was a rather disappointing experience.

Great ambience, super nice service, absolutely cool boss and great food. The eggplant salad starter was a stunner. Rarely have I eaten something so good.

Food, and especially the rice, was not cooked properly but was grainy. The owner sitting down with you really puts you in a bad mood. A guest also left the restaurant angry. Too expensive for the poor service. In addition, the portions were really very small.

A perfect Italian evening with wonderful food, good wine and lots and lots of warmth ❤️ Italian means: eating from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. (all dishes are freshly prepared, which takes time). It was perfect for us, but you should prepare for it and bring a lot (!) of time. For the first hunger we had toasted baguette with marinated cucumbers (great!), for starters we had salmon carpaccio and grilled octopus (divine!), and for the main course we had extremely sophisticated pasta. For dessert, chocolate cakes with ice cream. We were served by the boss himself, and when we said goodbye there were family photos from him and a (serious) promise from us to come back.

I highly recommend this restaurant, it is faultless both in terms of service and food (incredible beef stroganoff) 👏

I was visiting here with friends. Let's start with the positive: The food was really delicious, almost all dishes were excellently prepared. The negative: The service was catastrophic, both from the "service person" who served us (unemphasized, speaks no German and only very broken English, can't be friendly, let alone smile) and from the owner, who was obviously completely self-absorbed. The arrogance and dismissiveness he displayed is unparalleled. Derogatory comments and degradation of guests who don't like him seem normal here. This can also be seen from the reactions to other negative reviews. The food didn't come together but was completely chopped up. First a main course, ten minutes later two starters, another 10 minutes a starter and a main course and another 40 minutes later the remaining two main courses. There were hardly any guests in the restaurant - so how is that possible? Especially since we asked!!! were told to order instead of talking (yes, in that wording!) because "so many guests would be coming." That was never the case, there were an average of three tables occupied, five at the "wedding". The owner also has his dog with him - extremely questionable in a restaurant when you don't know whether there are guests with allergies or fear of dogs. And the dog's barking penetrates very unpleasantly through marrow and bone. If you could order food for delivery here, I would recommend it. However, since you have to go through the “service” on site, I can only advise against a visit.

The Uzbek plov was great, the rest of food was ok, but nothing special at all. And for the price definitely not on the level we expected. The service wasn’t particularly friendly either

The prices are highly inflated; the vegan pilaf costs as much as the meat one, but it only contains rice and onions. The food is ordinary. The dishes are served to people at different times. The atmosphere is beautiful, and everything is neat.

The best food-price quality so far in Berlin. Also there’s an atmosphere of a real-restaurant (never before seen anywhere in Berlin). The Plov was just excellent, I highly recommend it. Tcheburek was super tasty, the dough was very thin and tender also a lot of meat inside. Manty were the best I’ve ever tried. This place is just so above basicly any restaurant in Berlin, I highly recommend

Tasty Uzbek cuisine with a very nice ambience.

Perfect Uzbek cuisine! Very very fresh. Great dishes, variety. Service and the owner very friendly and considerate. The food was consistently extremely tasty.

We would like to share our extremely unpleasant experience at this restaurant. When we arrived we were informed in advance that we would have to wait about 30 minutes for our food. We accepted this with understanding and were willing to wait. However, we ended up waiting for more than an hour — 70 minutes to be exact. When we asked why it was taking so long, the boss came to us personally. To our amazement, he didn't apologize for the delay, but said he wouldn't "bow down to us" and that we could leave if we didn't like it. Such behavior towards customers simply shocked us! We wanted to have a pleasant evening here, but instead we were met with complete disrespect and rudeness. It is very unfortunate that a restaurant where one expects quality service would allow such behavior, especially from the boss.

I've been there many times with my family, but this time it was terrible. Never again!!! The boss was very unfriendly and we waited 1.5 hours for a salad. He said if we don't like it, we can leave but don't be annoying. (I described it nicely here).

I recently was at Boujee and had a rather mixed experience. The cold borscht was actually quite good, but I felt the price wasn’t justified. The cheburek, on the other hand, was disappointing. It was served drenched in oil, as if it had been taken straight from the fryer and dumped onto the plate without draining. What really made the visit unpleasant, though, was the atmosphere in the kitchen. Throughout our meal, the chef could be heard loudly yelling at the waitstaff, which was incredibly unprofessional and made for an uncomfortable dining experience. Overall, the food had some potential, but the experience was marred by poor execution and a disruptive environment. I won't be rushing back.

My second time here. Very tasty and fresh food, great service. I love Central Asian food. Almost only Russian speakers here, I highly recommend to everyone else to try this place as well :-)

It gives the impression that the restaurant doesn't know what concept to follow; the menu includes Uzbek, Georgian, Russian, Ukrainian and Italian dishes. The service is extremely in need of improvement, the salad was served almost 20 minutes after the main course, the plow was presented carelessly, the small salad directly on the rice and not next to it. The rotation and order of the dishes served is chaotic, 1 person gets their food, the others wait 10 minutes longer for their order. The food doesn't taste bad, but the portion is very small. All in all - not recommended, there are better alternatives.

Guests who were eating and further orders had just arrived were almost verbally driven out because there was a lack of clarity with the reservations. In addition, the food names (Khachapuri, Megruli, Adjaruli) are spelled incorrectly (see photo). You just have to put in a little effort and just google the names.

The number of stars for the service does not apply to the staff, but to the owner. Disrespectful and unfriendly manner. It makes you lose your appetite. It was definitely the last time for us.

We were there with 7 people. The advice from the manager of the house was very nice and competent. The service was nice and friendly. The meals were excellent. We felt very comfortable there. I can only recommend a visit.

But the apotheosis of this horror was that when the owner found out that we were Uzbeks, he called us “construction workers.” He also loudly used Russian swear words at us. This attitude is unacceptable under any circumstances. The only bright point of this visit was the work of the cook and the girl from the service department. The food was delicious and the service from the staff was polite and professional. Special thanks to them. But, unfortunately, due to the behavior of the owner, I strongly do not recommend this establishment to anyone. My answer: No, and never again. This review is based solely on my personal experience. If you want to eat delicious food and be professionally served, then welcome. But also be prepared that you will be discriminated against and humiliated by the owner of this restaurant. The first thing you sell to guests is not a dish, but respect!

Его комментарии и вопросы к нам носили откровенно уничижительный характер, особенно по отношению к нашей национальности. В то же время, он совершенно иначе относился к другим посетителям, что стало явной демонстрацией двойных стандартов. Мы приехали издалека и ожидали приятного обеда, но встреча с владельцем заставила нас покинуть заведение раньше времени, даже не доев наше первое блюдо, а нас ждало еще второе и третье блюдо. Я был готов похвалить заведение за кухню и сервис, но дискриминирующее поведение владельца и его несправедливое отношение к гостям заставляют меня задуматься, стоит ли возвращаться. Мой ответ: Нет, и никогда больше. Данный отзыв несет исключительно мой личный опыт. Если вы хотите вкусно поесть и быть профессионально обслуженным, то добро пожаловать. Но также будьте готовы, что вы будете дискриминированными и униженными владельцем данного ресторана. Первое, что вы продаете гостям, это не блюдо, а уважение.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't special either, especially the price-performance ratio wasn't right here. We had Stroganov, which served in a small bowl for €22 and was a very manageable size. The most disappointing thing was the vegetable salad, which turned out to be a small bowl of tomato and cucumber salad with radishes and, for €15, was bordering on a cheek. The lamb plov was also ok, but a far cry from the promotional video on Instagram. You almost had to look for the pieces of lamb. It was nice, but nothing more. Communication with the ladies from the service is hardly possible. The shop is really very stylishly decorated. But unfortunately that's not enough. I wouldn't come back.

Portion size is way too small, even for a smaller kid. Over salty, and dry, meat is cooked too long, and the uzbak polav is mainly rice, almost no meat nor onions. Pricing is high, especially for the fact you get mainly rice or bread. Disappointed would be a compliment, i wish they would change those topics, as service was great, and the atmosphere was also nice

The boss's recommendations were worth their weight in gold; if you have no idea about Uzbek cuisine, you should seek advice before ordering. The service was brilliant and at my view one of the best in Berlin, restaurant personell was very attentive and friendly. Definitely, we will come back again. So if you look for a great food and atmosphere , this is exactly the place to pay a visit.

Delicious and good service, which is not usual for Germany

Was hier zu sehen ist, sind zwei Portionen Palmeni plus eine Portion uigurischer Manti - für atemberaubende 51,99 €! Ein vollkommen überzogener Preis. Das Bestellen über Lieferando ist nicht Sache dieses Etablissements: Erst zwei Stunden nach Aufgabe der Bestellung hatten wir unser Essen. Erklärung des Lieferanten: Das Restaurant hatte von unserer Bestellung überhaupt nichts bemerkt. Bei einem Beschwerdeanruf im Restaurant wurden Schwierigkeiten im Umgang mit dem Lieferandosystem eingestanden, soweit sich das recht unvollkommene Deutsch des Gesprächspartners verstehen ließ. Fazit: Keine Empfehlung, sondern eine Warnung!

One of my favorite restaurants in Berlin. It was my second time there when I realized that this is the place I can recommend to everyone! Perfect for those who have never tried this type of cuisine. I declare that you can find there the tastiest Tscheburek in Berlin (and Germany), the proper Khinkali, and absolutely outstanding Aubergine Salad (this is just something mind blowing!!) The stuff is very friendly and attentive. Высший балл! Одно из любимейших мест в Берлине! И… Лучшие чебуреки в моей жизни. Никогда нигде мне не встречались ТАКИЕ чебуреки. The best gastro experience in Berlin so far! The food is amazing (eclectic but super delicious), the service is super nice, and the atmosphere was amazing

Ich habe hier leider eine schlechte Erfahrung gemacht. Habe bei Lieferando bestellt für rund 70 Euro mit Sofortüberweisung, Die Bestellung wurde als vom Restaurant angenommen angezeigt. Dann rief man mich an und meinte, der Ofen sei schon aus und man könne nicht liefern. Sie seien schon längst zu und ich hätte früher bestellen müssen. Ich müsse die Bestellung stornieren und dann würde ich „vermutlich“ mein Geld wiederbekommen. Ok, kann ja passieren, dass was schief geht, aber die Art, mir dies zu sagen, kam schon echt komisch rüber. Auf meine Bitte, diese Absage schriftlich zu bestätigen, wurde mir eine sms versprochen, die nie kam. Ich stellte anschließend fest, dass ich bei Lieferando nicht stornieren kann und rief das Restaurant zurück, um um Hilfe bei der Stornierung zu bitten. Statt dieser Hilfe wurde ich einfach gegaslightet - ich würde dem Herrn spät Abends Probleme machen, er könnte nichts machen, irgendwelche Nachbarn hätten ihm für heute Nacht schon das Gas abgedreht, das sei alles nicht sein Problem, ich könne doch einfach morgen ins Restaurant kommen und essen, ich würde einen Skandal veranstalten (nun wirklich nicht wahr, ich habe nur gesagt, dass mir morgen nicht weiterhilft und gefragt, was ich machen muss, damit ich wieder an mein Geld komme) etc. Auf mein eigentliches Anliegen, Hilfe bei der Stornierung zu bekommen (ich hatte bei Lieferando noch nie so einen Fall, es wurde mir keine Stornooption angezeigt und ich habe gehofft das Restaurant kann mir helfen) wurde überhaupt nicht eingegangen. Glücklicherweise tauchte, nachdem die Zeit für die Lieferung abgelaufen war, bei Lieferando nachträglich eine Hilfeoption auf, bei der ich angeben konnte, dass ich keine Lieferung bekommen habe und Lieferando hat mir weitergeholfen. Ich fand diese ganze Experience nicht angenehm, vor Allem, dass man dem Kunden nicht hilft, sondern auch noch so tut, als wäre dieser im Unrecht, wenigstens Unterstützung bei der Rückabwicklung zu suchen. Wirklich nicht nett, Leute. :(

Попался волос в хлебе , подошли к хозяину показали - Сказал « хлеб с пекарни мы не причем» и даже не извинился . Принесли салфетки , с жирными пятнами , в грязной посуде для салфеток . Тоже не извинились , только предложили заменить. А как все хорошо начиналось , хозяин подходил ко всем гостям с вопросом « все ли хорошо у вас? Вам все нравится?» и мы очень впечатлились его отношением к клиентам , а когда подошли к нему с проблемой , так сразу «мы не причем» . НЕ ИЗВИНИЛИСЬ, не принесли комплимент от заведения и не сделали скидку . Просто проигнорировали . Очень не приятный осадок не смотря на вкусную еду и очень приятную атмосферу .

Amazing place. We went for dinner wanting to try something new and left entirely satisfied and wanting to go back as soon as possible. The food is wonderfully executed, with high quality fresh ingredients. The staff is very nice and friendly, they offer help with recommendation of dishes and wines to pair with the food. We had the Uzbek soup and the Uzbek Plov, both were delicious. The atmosphere is also great, beautiful interior design, cozy environment, and on top we had amazing live music.

Всегда встречает с улыбкой владелец заведения, как старых добрых друзей) это приятно☺️ а вот кухня- это восторг! У шеф-повара золотые руки) так вкусно покушать узбекскую кухню в Берлине можно только в Boujee, другие подобные заведения явно недотягивают. На столах красивые композиции из свежих цветов, классный интерьер, открытая кухня, чистая уборная, есть гардероб, куда любезно предлагают отнести верхнюю одежду. Чек выше среднего, но полученное наслаждение от блюд, стоит того🫶🏼

Wer die Mittelasiatische/ Kaukasische Küche kennt, wird hier finden, wonach er lange gesucht hat! Wem diese Küche neu ist, der sollte sich auf ein einmaliges Geschmackserlebnis gefasst machen! Dazu noch die herzliche Gastfreundschaft des Chefs Sergey und die Fürsorge seines Teams - das macht einen perfekten Abend! Vielen Dank - большое спасибо!

Очень понравился ресторан! Приятная атмосфера, доброжелательные люди, красивая живая музыка, и, главное, очень вкусные блюда. В первый раз зашли случайно и удовольствием вернулись, чтобы отметить день рождения, придем еще :) Соскучились по русской/СНГ-кухне, поэтому были готовы взять все меню, так всё выглядит аппетитно. Рекомендую чебурек, борщ, пюре с фрикадельками, биф строганофф, десерт - ягодное пирожное и медовик. Всё было очень вкусно!

Sehr zu empfehlen. Das Essen hat unglaublich lecker geschmeckt. Wir haben uns da sehr wohl gefühlt.

Самые сочные и вкусные чебуреки и самса! И невероятный борщ! А плов так вообще, как у меня на родине в Ташкенте! Очень советую, не пожалеете! 😍😍😍😍

Wir waren in Boujee zum dritten Mal und es war sehr köstlich wie immer! Gutes und leckeres Essen! Schöne, gemütliche Atmosphäre! Sehr nette Mitarbeiter und der Gründer ist immer dabei, um sicherzustellen, dass ihr eich wohl fühlt und alles, was ihr wollt, habt. Wir haben Borschtsch, Tcheborek,Pelmen und bestellt - empfehlenswert! Letztes Mal war Borschtsch und Frikadelle aus Hühnchen - war nicht enttäuscht, sehr gute Wahl. Ihr sollt Sirniki ausprobieren! Sie waren so lecker und fluffig, wie ich es noch nie gesehen und gegessen habe! Einfach unglaublich!

Wir hatten einen unglaublich schönen Abend mit super leckerem Essen und sehr herzlichem Service. Schon lange nicht mehr jemanden getroffen der Gastronomie so mit Herz lebt wie dieser Inhaber. Vielen Dank 😍
