We were there last Saturday and enjoyed it so much that we came back the next day. Staff and service absolutely top! We were able to take our dogs with us without any problem and when choosing a table we looked directly at where the dogs could be best. There was also water and a free meatball for the dog. Our food was also great! Large and super tasty portion. We'll definitely be back. That was really great!

Simply cult! Delicious food, very good beer and super friendly staff. I particularly like the lunch and dinner menu. The dishes are great and match the season. In summer it is very cozy and nice to sit outside. The store is also very child-friendly. The children's map is for coloring and comes with pens and there is a toy box. There is a star deduction for the ambience because it is really loud inside when it is full. That could be optimized. But otherwise it's just pleasant to be there. I love it!

Been here a few times and have never been disappointed. Just had a beef goulash with spaetzle and red cabbage and it was really good and a decent portion that you don't get often. Absolutely worth the price!

In addition to burgers, the menu included mainly German dishes such as farmer's breakfast, schnitzel or Hamburg pan fish, but also pasta dishes and tarte flambée; There was also an extensive drinks menu including cocktails. I also saw from the website that an all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch was offered. From the pictures on the homepage, Yelp and Google, in addition to the food pics, I liked the contrast between the bright blue exterior and the conservative, cozy interior. I wasn't expecting American style from this place, but I was still curious; Of the four burgers on offer, I decided on the cheeseburger with tomato relish, mustard moulade, pickled cucumbers, lettuce and crispy onions (€14.50), with fries (€4) and a malt beer (€3.60) as a drink. When I had an appointment in HH-Eppendorf one late afternoon, I combined it with a subsequent dinner at Borchers. When I arrived I found a busy restaurant; I could now perceive the cozy atmosphere that the pictures had conveyed. I looked for a free table with a view of the long counter; There I noticed small freight elevators that I hadn't seen in decades; apparently the kitchen was on the first floor. I ordered my food and drink from a friendly waiter and then wanted to wash my hands. On the way to the toilets I noticed that the path was not barrier-free and you had to go up a flight of stairs to the first floor. As expected, I heard kitchen noises behind another door in the hallway leading off from the toilets. The toilet rooms were spacious and seemed very clean. Once back at my table, my root beer was served and about 15 minutes later a pretty waitress took my food out of the elevator. As expected, the burger had nothing to do with American style, but I still liked it very much: the patty was juicy and well seasoned and harmonized wonderfully with the other toppings, the fries were also tasty; I really liked that the dish had a generous side salad. I paid my waiter €22.10 by debit card and gave him a tip of €1. Then I went to the nearby bus stop “Eppendorfer Marktplatz” to start my journey home. I can only recommend Borchers in HH-Eppendorf. It seems to be popular and it wasn't just me who ordered burgers that night.

Very good food, I haven't had such delicious roast beef for a long time. Price/performance great. Service very attentive, a bit intrusive at first (drinks menu in hand means you're still looking ;)). The ambience is typical Hamburg - Nordic beautiful.

Classic in Eppendorf, one of my favorite shops for many years. Mixed crowd, good, broad menu, food of the usual good quality. And a MUST for the European Championships this year...

Price-performance doesn't fit. The food is average at best, it was my third attempt now. Unfortunately I can't recommend it.

We spontaneously got a place for 13 people on a Saturday evening. Despite the event upstairs, the service was always super fast and the food hardly took a long time to arrive. We were all completely satisfied with the service, the really nice waitress and, above all, the food. We would recommend this restaurant to everyone and come back again and again.

Food quite good. Service was very bad on our evening there, even though there were hardly any guests. Inattentive, you had to wait forever for drinks, a bill wasn't issued and the order wasn't checked again. This was not a good day for the Borchers. It's a real shame because I was actually in a positive mood on previous visits.

Great restaurant and bar, has a legendary reputation in Eppendorf! There's something for everyone here, from burgers and pasta to home-style German cuisine. A nice outdoor area where you can sit in the summer, and it's also very cozy inside. Had fried potatoes with a fried egg, and a beer of Bayreuther light, very tasty. The service is first class and very friendly, value for money is a clear recommendation!

We love Borchers! Our favorite restaurant in Eppendorf. We have almost gone through the entire menu and are usually always satisfied. There could be a small salad with the currywurst. The drinks are very tasty, lots of choice and the prices are reasonable too. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The location is great and we really enjoy coming here.

Were there for breakfast with 7 people, everyone was thrilled. Very tasty and rich buffet. Friendly staff. We only found a thermos flask of coffee for 23 euros to be very overpriced. Nevertheless, we would definitely like to come back.

This place is an absolute must for everyone. Everything is just right. Food top fresh and delicious. There were four of us and we waited less than 30 minutes for our food, even though it was almost full. I estimate between 60 and 70 guests. Staff super friendly and a very nice selection of drinks. Oldschool german pub optically renewed. Used to be a staple for youngsters back in the days, Classic dishes still served. Waiters are pretty good. No live music, no perceivable music actually. Preffered by families. More a restaurant than a pub per se.

Nette mal -schnell -was- Essen- Lokalität. Super Service. Die Speisenauswahl sehr übersichtlich, hatte Probleme was zu finden. Zuviel Flammkuchen zuwenig Fleischgerichte ( Schnitzel, Burger.). Eher was zum was- trinken -gehen- und- was -snacken,(der Parmesantaler ist der Hammer), richtig Essen lieber woanders. Wegen der für mich sehr enttäuschenden Speisekarte nur 3 Sterne.Für zwischendurch tolles Objekt und nochmal....super Service.

Die Bedienungen (Damen) sind leider sehr reserviert. Proffessionell, aber kühl. Willkommen fühlt man sich nicht, aber das Essen und Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist wirklich gut.

Ist halt ne größere Kneipe. Aber ungezwungenes Ambiente. Bedienung freundlich und flink. Auch später am Abend kam noch die Bedienung und fragte nach ob noch etwas fehlt. Positiv. Ich hatte Kalbsschnitzel mit Pommes bestellt. Das Schnitzel war Zart hat aber völlig neutral geschmeckt. Die Pommes waren nicht durch gebacken. Eine Kollegin am Tisch hatte Bratkartoffeln, sahen aus wie Leichenfinger schlecht gewürzt. Ich hätte vielleicht die Spiegeleier nehmen sollen. Essen hat nicht überzeugt, obwohl nicht unbedingt Billig. Leider.

War mit 2 Freundinnen gestern beim Brunch, wir waren sehr zufrieden. Ich, Vegetarier, hab viele leckere Sachen zum Essen gefunden, kommen gern wieder

Es ist ein sehr schönes altes Lokal mit Holzfußboden. Essen ist bodenständig und sehr gut. Es gibt verschiedene Sorten Fassbier. Man sitzt draußen im Herzen von Eppendorf. Ich komme hier gerne hin und auch schon seit vielen Jahren. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Eine tolle Location mit großem Außenbereich, unheimlich aufmerksamem, nettem Personal und mega leckerem Essen (Preis/ Leistung voll erfüllt)! Wiederholungsbesuch garantiert! Sehr empfehlenswert.

Das Essen (Salat) war gut, aber der Kellner hat ewig gebraucht, es zu bringen und man musste fast was nach ihm werfen, damit er uns bemerkt.

Borchers gibt es schon lange. Ein Ort zum Verweilen. Zudem gibt es eine Bar. Speisen werden frisch zubereitet, lecker, genug Auswahl für die Gäste. Einrichtung, typisch hamburgisch rustikal.

Obwohl deren gesamte Außenbereich belegt war gab es keine langen Wartezeiten und freundliche Bedienung. Bier war gut, gegessen haben wir bei der Hitze nichts. Update Juli '23: Noch immer eine sichere Bank für Speis und Trank. :) Wieder sehr nett bedient worden. 5,50€ für mein Bier von Fass waren in Ordnung, Flammkuchen war auch lecker.

Ich habe viele Currywürste gegessen aber hier gibt es mit die beste für einen guten Preis. Im Sommer kann man lange draußen sitzen auch wenn es mal kalt wird, dank der Heizstrahler. Die Mitarbeiter sind nett und höflich. Kann ich empfehlen.

Das Borchers ist letztlich eine zu groß geratene Kneipe. Im Stil der Ketten Einstein und Schweinske ist die Einrichtung sehr funktionell gehalten. Der Außenbereich ist sehr angenehm und man kann hier gut seine Zeit verbringen. Die Bedienung ist nett, freundlich, schnell und bemüht. Leider hatten wir immer wieder Probleme, dass wir Dinge bekamen die wir nicht bestellt hatten und andere Dinge dafür vergessen wurden. Mein Burger eine Sonderbestellung und ich bat darum, in der Küche kreativ zu werden da ich die Barbecuesauce nicht mag. Die Kreativität der Küche belief sich darin, die Soße komplett wegzulassen. Das machte das Kauen und Schlucken das sehr trockenen Buns, der aus meiner Sicht nicht angeröstet war, außerordentlich schwer. Ich war froh, dass ich zu meinem Pommes, die ich auch erst nach Aufforderung erhalten habe, eine Mayonnaise bestellt hatte die ich dann als Burger Sauce umfunktionieren konnte. Von den Komponenten her war der Burger super. Die Zusammenstellung war sehr gut. Allerdings machte die fehlende Soße das Geschmackserlebnis nichtig. Bei der Dessert Bestellung ging es dann an unserem großen Tisch endgültig durcheinander. Es kamen viele Dinge die wir ausdrücklich abbestellt hatten, die Eisbecher wurden falsch zusammengestellt und das gab ein großes hin und her. Der Cocktail den ich genießen durfte war sokide zusammengestellt. Wir hatten dann noch in unserer großen Runde einen entspannten Abend. Trotzdem war die Menge der Pannen schon bemerkenswert, zumal die Bestellung über ein Tablet direkt in die Küche ging. Wir konnten uns nicht erklären wo der Fehler lag.

Polite and friendly staff. very delicious Flamkuchen. Tiramisu was also good. decoration was decent but not nicely and cleanly cut.

Das Borchers hat ein wirklich tolles Ambiente, rustikal aber gemütlich. Im Sommer kann man sehr gut draußen oder im Wintergarten sitzen. Der Service war auch super und alle sehr freundlich. Leider hat uns das Essen überhaupt nicht überzeugt. Die Pommes waren ziemlich hart, der Burger mehr als durch (trotz vorheriger Bitte, ihn nicht komplett durchzubraten), die Cannelloni hatten kaum Geschmack und Würze. Für das ein oder andere Getränk kommen wir bestimmt nochmal vorbei, denn die Atmosphäre ist wirklich schön. Dem Essen geben wir vielleicht nochmal eine Chance und bewerten dann auch gerne höher.

Wie immer war das Essen super und Mirco hat uns zur vollsten Zufriedenheit umsorgt! Das Hausbier war wie immer kalt und das Essen köstlich.

Das Borchers war für uns bisher ein beliebter Gruppentreffpunkt, zum Feierabendbier oder zu Beginn/Ende des Wochenendes. Vergangenen Donnerstag musste ich leider feststellen, dass die Getränkepreise sehr stark angehoben wurden. Das Hefeweizen 0,5 l kostet nun 5,20 € anstelle von 4,70 € vorher - Preiserhöhung von über 10%. Dies ist aber nicht das Hauptärgernis. Der sonst so freundliche Kellner bat uns, als Gruppe bitte nur noch Sammelbestellungen für Getränke aufzugeben. Wenn wir alle immer einzeln bestellen würden, "würde er sich ja einen Wolf laufen". Hier hat wohl jemand den Servicegedanken nicht richtig verstanden!!! Wir hatten bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt immer ordentlich Umsatz gemacht und waren mit dem Trinkgeld auch nicht knauserig - damit werden wir das Personal im Borchers aber ab sofort nicht mehr belästigen.

Sehr gute und große Auswahl an verschiedenen traditionellen und moderneren Gerichten. Der Pannfisch und der Cheeseburger waren sehr lecker, der Service sehr nett und aufmerksam.

Ein einladendes Restaurant, um gemütlich mit Freunden Essen zu gehen. Es gibt ab 12:00h einen großartigen Mittagstisch, bei dem die Karte wöchentlich wechselt. Die Speisen sind hervorragend, der Service außergewöhnlich freundlich und Mittags geht es sehr flott. Es ist eine Freude dort seine Mittagspause zu verbringen. Sehr gelungen ist die verglaste Terrasse und im Sommer sitzen die Gäste unter großen Bäumen an der Ostseite des Restaurants mit Kultcharakter.

The food was good and the service was also very nice. The only definitely unacceptable problem happened at the end of the dinner. We left some coins on the table as a "extra payment" for the service, as we usually do also in other restaurants. One of the employees followed us and he told us, in a very rude way, that was not nice to left coins in the table. He didn't explain the reason why that was not nice (since we are not from Germany we don't know what can be inappropriate or not) and he just asked us to go away in a very rude way, even after my apologies. I never, never, seen a behavior like this before. Such a pity, the dinner was really good but we will never go back again to this place.

Irgendwie hat der laden ja so seinen Mythos... im Sommer draußen im Biergarten, das geht auf ein Getränk okay. Dort was trinken zu gehen ist okay, aber nicht ungewöhnlich. Die Speisen sind leider nicht so gut.

Es ist wirklich schön da, man kann super Essen und/oder an der Bar was trinken und Fussball gucken auf einer großen Leinwand (Buli). Der Servive ist mega nett und wir gehen total gerne dort essen und geniessen die gemütliche Atmosphäre.

Zuerst: die Speisen waren genießbar. Das war´s aber dann auch schon. Ein "Holsteiner Schnitzel" ist doch wohl etwas mehr, als ein paniertes Schnitzel mit einem Spiegelei drauf. Zudem musste der dazugehörige Salat angemahnt werden. Das, was positiv zu Buche schlägt: man kann draußen sitzen - sofern man einen Platz bekommt. WIR aber müssen hier nicht mehr her. Gibt in Eppendorf besseres.

Da wir in Eppendorf wohnen kennen wir das Borchers schon lange . Es ist eine Institution in Eppendorf für alt und jung ... , für jede Generation. Im Sommer sitzen wir abends gern auf der Terrasse , wo es manchmal nicht einfach ist ,einen freien Platz zu bekommen . Es kommen eben auch viel Gäste aus der Nachbarschaft . Gern geniessen wir auch den wöchentlich wechselnden Mittagstisch mit Gerichten wie Königsberger Klopse oder Schweinefilet .Gerade mittags sehr nette Bedienung , dann ist auch immer Zeit zu einem Schwätzchen . Wir können das Borchers nur empfehlen.

Tja was soll ich sagen, das Restaurant hat mich in vielerlei Hinsicht negativ überrascht. Fangen wir mit dem Hautkritikpunkt an - die tote eingebackene Fliege ganz unten in den Cannelloni. Man könnte meinen bei einem solchen Vorfall kommt der Chef zu einem an den Tisch und entschuldigt sich. Die Kellnerin ließ jedoch nur von ihm ausrichten, dass wir einen Kaffee aufs Haus bekommen können “mehr können wir da leider nicht machen“. Die 11,50 Euro mussten wir also trotz Fliege bezahlen. Die Kundenorientierung fehlt hier leider gänzlich. Das Essen an sich ist geschmacklich ertragbar aber nicht sonderlich qualitativ und erinnert an Systemgastronomie. Die wüste Ansammlung verschiedenster Gerichte in der Speisekarte lässt bereits Erahnen, dass es hier keine Spezialisierung gibt. Ich komme nicht wieder und bin von Qualität und Service sehr enttäuscht!
