We just stopped for a drink on a beautiful day, in a lovely location on the Rhine. Unfortunately, the service was irritable and lacking; they weren't able to quickly get a rag because a full drink had fallen over. They lacked sensitivity for the situation, which doesn't warrant an unqualified recommendation.

We were at the playground next door with our grandson, and he was stung by a wasp. I then went to the boathouse and asked for an onion. I received immediate and straightforward help with my unusual request. The manager was very helpful and empathetic.

Very disappointing. We had reserved a table and wanted to spend a nice evening with family. At first everything was great. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere. The food was also very good. Unfortunately, no one paid us any further attention. We then sat for 45 minutes in front of empty glasses and dirty dishes. We would have liked to order a drink with our meal and dessert for our heavily pregnant daughter-in-law and grandson. We signaled to the waitress twice, which was acknowledged with a nod. The people serving the neighboring tables should have noticed that we were still sitting in front of empty glasses. And that in 30 degree heat. Even when we asked for the bill, this was ignored. We then went to the counter to pay. The restaurant was not full and therefore very manageable. What a shame... the evening was ruined!

The food was too expensive. There weren't even any garnishes. The surroundings were very noisy. The service was understated. The tables were very small. There was no salt or pepper on the table. A little mayo was extra. Not recommended.

We attended a wedding reception at the boathouse. The owner and her team were friendly and really put a lot of effort into the experience. A very charming atmosphere with a direct view of the Rhine. The food was fantastic, delicious, and very varied. Finally, a restaurateur who sees his profession as his vocation. Thank you for the great time!

We spontaneously stopped in for dinner this evening. It wasn't on the menu, but it was delicious: schnitzel topped with Bolognese sauce and baked with cheese. They easily swapped the French fries for rosemary potatoes. The falafel burger was something different and tasted good. Nice ambiance with a view of the Rhine and the passing boats. Although the restaurant was busy, the service was decent and there were no major waits! We'd be happy to come back.

I've never had such a bad seat in a restaurant: Despite having a reservation, we had a plastic table under the restroom window. We had to get our own menus and weren't served even after 45 minutes. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food, as we left at some point.

A small restaurant right on the Rhine, it's a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the view. The service was friendly, but the wait time was a bit long, and not all of the dishes were available. The taste wasn't exactly top-notch either.

We left after 20-25 minutes after being seated by a waitress, but not even receiving a drink menu. One waitress was very busy and engaged, while the other (who had assigned us a table) sat with familiar guests and didn't cooperate.

Very unfriendly reception, which made us decide not to stay there any longer.

A very beautiful oasis on the Rhine. We've been coming here for a while now, and it's always lovely. It's like a vacation by the water. The ambiance is wonderful; the tables are lovingly decorated with fresh flowers, and the view of the Rhine is fantastic. The old trees in front of the restaurant are simply lovely and provide shade in the summer, so it's not so hot there. The food is always very good and delicious, as are the wines. We've always received good service and are therefore completely satisfied. We're happy to make the hour-long drive for this. Many thanks to Yvonna and the entire team.

The place is very pretty, the food was delicious, and they were very friendly and attentive! And they were very nice with the kids. There's also a playground next door! Definitely a repeat visit!

Never again We had to wait forever for someone to come. The schnitzel was disappointing; the breading was thicker than the meat. The fries were good. The service staff was completely understaffed. The only positive point: The service staff was friendly despite being understaffed.

We got married and then celebrated the wedding in the boathouse and Yvonne and her great team made it a perfect evening! Everything was just right. Since then we have been regular guests and enjoy the warm atmosphere and the good cuisine and the really top wines

We ate here on a holiday with very nice weather and we were thrilled! Very stylish, relaxed location with cool music, but not too loud, and of course the view of the Rhine. The food was also great in terms of taste 👍 The burger is highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

Waited a very long time for the food, it was good, but still cold. Despite the children's request, there was no mayonnaise, one fries too few + we were left high and dry most of the time. Disaster!!!! As soon as not again...

We came to the boathouse repeatedly and, as before, we were impressed by the service, drinks and food. Tastes wonderful and fresh. Yes, the menu isn't too extensive in terms of food, but as we all know, quality trumps quantity. Both the burger and the vegetarian bowl were really awesome! The ambience right on the Rhine is above all else. We'll be back soon!

The location of the boathouse directly on the Rhine is great. The service was friendly and helpful. But unfortunately I have to give a BUT. A dry schnitzel is offered. This one has more breading on the outside like meat on the inside. There is also a lemon to soften it up. When asked, they said that sauce is only available in winter. Salad, fried potatoes or anything else must be ordered separately. Even the best service is of no use. Unfortunately the store is not recommended.

Far too loud for people with disabilities

If you're hungry, no problem, it says on the boathouse's website. But this is exactly a problem. If an hour has passed after ordering a simple dish, a schnitzel, and the food still hasn't been served, that's a problem When asked, oh, I forgot. The fact that the drinks, a wine and a beer, are on the house is no more than okay. We canceled the food, there is also good food in the neighborhood.

We went to the boathouse for dinner. After an hour we asked when the food would come. The waitress asked and wanted to know what we had ordered. We immediately got up and left. Unfortunately the waitress forgot to pass on the order. Just a shame. You don't need to go there anymore.

The food was ok for the price. The offer is very thin, but it is enough. The service was friendly. There is still room for improvement in terms of organization. Nettes Personal und individuelle Beratung speziell zu den Weinen und auch Speisen ist garantiert. Die Location ist perfekt für Anlässe aller Art. Ich werde sicherlich auch in Zukunft Business-Essen dort abhalten...da es "gepflegt und trotzdem locker zugeht"

Five of us and two dogs were guests at the boathouse yesterday and were served attentively and friendly. The food was excellent, the wines were great. An all-round successful evening, thank you very much, we'll be happy to come back.

We had a nice and cozy summer party in the Bootshaus Geisenheim on August 17th, 2024. Food and drinks were great, with my personal thanks to the service, who didn't have an easy time with us, you at the boathouse were really great.

The service was disastrous. First we had to wait forever to order, then unfortunately my son didn't get his fries because they forgot to write them down. Wir waren mit Rädern unterwegs und wollten uns stärken. Sehr schöne Lage - aber das ist auch alles. Nachdem wir die Speisekarte erhalten haben, kam niemand mehr. Mehrfach vorbeigelaufen, einmal winkte ich, die Bedienung zuckte nur mit den Schultern, und hielt mit der Chefin(?) abseits ein Schwätzchen. Sie waren absolut nicht im Stress, einfach nur desinteressiert. Wir haben das noch eine Weile ertragen, danach sind wir aufgestanden und gegangen. An den beiden immer noch Schwatzenden vorbei, die nicht umgekuckt haben. Unvorstellbar.

Wow, actually one of the best tarte flambées I've ever had (everything was made fresh and you could see and taste it). The service was very friendly, absolutely recommended.

We wanted to have a test meal and had made a reservation. For 5 people, 4 chairs and a small, round, worn bistro table were provided for us. After a long wait (despite few guests) we were finally able to order drinks, which the unfriendly waitress then used to order the food (we didn't have any more ......(almost everything was defensively listed to us because the oven was broken ....) were put on the table. After another long wait, poor quality, undercooked food arrived along with sand in the salad, and that was not the only thing that was returned that day. Conclusion: Never more, especially not for a celebration as planned. The glossy advertising on this probably doesn't apply here either. No recommendation, there's actually no point for this day - but unfortunately it's not possible,

Geschmacklich ist festzuhalten das man schmeckt keine Fertigprodukte zu verzehren. Bleibt ein Lob für die Zubereitung der Speisen auszusprechen und einen Besuch im Restaurant Bootshaus Geisenheim zu empfehlen.

Waren heute probeessen, weil eine Feier ansteht, da original beworben wird der "Rundumservice" dieses Etablissements. Nur schade, heute war weder Service noch Essen gut. Nichts los, aber trotzdem Wartezeiten wie auf einem DB-Bahnhof; zudem bereits am ersten Tag der Woche diverse Angebote nicht mehr vorhanden, obendrauf noch die "Qualität" von Service und Speisen nicht von dieser Welt- schlicht unterirdisch. Und das zu Preisen, die eigentlich mehr erwarten lassen. Fazit : nimmer mehr !

The ambience on the banks of the Rhine is great, as is the extremely helpful, friendly service! The schnitzels were a dream, although the small side salad and fries had to be ordered separately and were rather puny for the price. The veggie burgers were rather spicy and didn't taste good to us. For us there is no location that we will come back to.

Unfortunately the operator has apparently changed😢! The last few years have always been peaceful! Unfortunately not anymore - we ate there with 6 people, everyone had different dishes, none of them were really tasty. As an example: the pasta with salmon described was the cheapest spiral pasta, the pieces of salmon were so small that you had to look for them and the cream sauce was so liquid that you could drink it! The first beer that was served came to the table warm (after requesting a slightly colder beer came)! Conclusion: unfortunately we won't be coming back despite the view and can no longer be recommended😢

Price performance totally excessive. Portions far too small for the prices. Service staff was friendly and quickly overwhelmed with 2 tables. I wouldn't go here again and find it hard to understand the positive reviews.

We are increasingly disappointed with the food, service and value for money compared to previous years. In terms of taste, the food was ok, but with a side salad for €6.00 ​​which, apart from what felt like a handful of leaf lettuce, 1 tomato and a slice of cucumber, wasn't really worth mentioning...the children were the side dish of steakhouse fries for €4.00 (not like that either Had a handful..) with the schnitzel, not really satisfied. Overall, we definitely didn't think the price-performance ratio was right. With two adults and two children we spent around 100.00 euros and had relatively little food on our plate. The service was nice, but seemed overwhelmed given the manageable number of guests. Compared to previous years, the menu reads quite quickly with a DIN4 page. A mouse in the restaurant was entertaining, but it is not absolutely necessary when visiting a restaurant. We would also like to wish the team all the best for the future...but we would no longer go there to eat for the reasons mentioned above.

What was disappointing was that the reservation was messed up and we were seated somewhat awkwardly at a table that had been quickly set up. Either this or 🤷‍♀️. Friendliness and structure could still be worked on. Otherwise cozy location with a view of the Rhine. All of our meals were delicious!

Sau leckere Karoffelsuppe und hervorragenden Handkäse gegessen,dazu super leckeren Wein von Dillmann(Rosalinde) und Braunewell (Rot und Weiß)dazu getrunken! Die Speisen sind alle frisch gemacht. Ganz wunderbare Qualität, Geschmack, Frische. Liebevoll angerichtet und ebenfalls sehr freundliche, persönliche Bedienung. Alles top! Besuch lohnt! Zum Geburtstag eines Gastes bereitete der Küchenchef (aufs Haus) spontan ein warmes Schoko-Küchlein mit Vanilleeis und Kerze - großes Kino! Danke! Wenn ich nicht weiter weg wohnte, wäre ich sehr oft Gast. Absolut empfehlenswert!!

Das Bootshaus in weihnachtlichem Ambiente, allein das ist schon einen Besuch wert! Die über dem Sommerangebot leicht gekürzte Speisekarte bietet uns ein reichhaltiges Angebot zu attraktiven Preisen. Regionale Küche und frische Zutaten schmecken wir gleich heraus. Freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung durch die Chefin persönlich runden den äußerst positiven Gesamteindruck noch ab. Alles in allem ein gelungener vorweihnachtlicher Abend zu Viert. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
