Bodhi - vegan living in Hamburg

A delicious, friendly, and seamless experience. I was fully taken care of, and the food tasted amazing. I'm not actually vegan myself; it was just a test run, but the food was truly amazing, and the (in my opinion, lost) principle of "the customer is king" still applies here. Great shop.

Difficult. The food was good. However, you can only pay in cash, which raises some concerns for me. It's extremely loud and echoes heavily, making it less than cozy. The service also leaves a lot to be desired. After we asked for the bill, we were told that we had laughed too loudly and that an elderly lady at the next table felt disturbed. The elderly lady vehemently denied this, saying it wasn't true. Overall, it was unpleasant.

Delicious, friendly and nice atmosphere.

The vegan restaurant Bodhi is really recommended. The restaurant is located right next to the subway station and is therefore very easy to reach. The employees are very nice and helpful. The food is really great and very tasty. The map isn't very big but it's really good. The food is delivered very quickly and it simply tastes very good. It is one of the best vegan restaurants I have eaten at.

We spontaneously visited Bodhi for lunch today and realized that we haven't left a review here yet. We want to do that now. We have been visiting Bodhi for a long time and it has developed into one of our oases of well-being. Whether in the restaurant or as a take-away: the loving and detailed preparation of the dishes, the fresh and crunchy products and the diverse selection of drinks are simply perfectly coordinated. Basically we can recommend everything on the menu. So far there hasn't been anything that wasn't tasty. In addition, the service is very attentive and super friendly. All in all, a real vegan recommendation!

So delicious! The tofu variations are highly recommended. I would never be able to make the fried tofu sticks like this at home, so I'm happy to treat myself to a restaurant visit to Bodhi😍 The udon noodles are also delicious and have a great price-performance ratio. Together with the mango coconut lassi a perfect meal 😍 The service is also top! The only deduction is one star for the noise level in the restaurant, which sometimes makes it difficult to hold a conversation.

We spontaneously went to the restaurant on a Friday lunchtime and had no problem getting a table. Unfortunately, reservations are only possible in advance by telephone. I would like to see an online system here. The restaurant is very small, but nicely decorated and invites you to stay there for a while. If the weather is good, you can also eat directly in front of the shop. The staff is very attentive and polite and creates a friendly atmosphere. We agreed pretty quickly on what we wanted to order and decided on a drink, a starter, a main course and a shared dessert. We paid around €53 for this. (The exact price can be found on the website, except for the drinks.) Which in my opinion is a fair price for the food. The preparation also went quickly, so we didn't have to wait long for our food. The portion and quality of the food is very good and corresponds to the price-performance ratio. In the store you can only pay with cash and not with an EC card. The next time we are in the area we would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone who likes to be vegan.

A great menu, the food tasted great and wasn't expensive either. We made a reservation and that was necessary (Thursday 7 p.m.). Clear recommendation.

If you like Asian food, you should know Bodhi in St Georg! For us, a real authority in Hamburg - and at more than fair prices. On our second visit within a year, an incredibly delicious variety of delicacies awaited us, highlighting the different flavors of Asian cuisine. Once again we enjoyed trying out the various non-alcoholic (and alcoholic) cocktails. Very courteous and quick service and a pleasant atmosphere round off the experience with 4 people. PS: The food is 100% vegan - so most meat lovers probably won't miss any meat!

They don’t take cards which for me is completely nonsense at this point. Quality dropped since a few years, but food is on average still fine. Staff is friendly but sometimes slightly chaotic (drinks ordered that were never brought to the table but still on the check for example). Don’t feel like coming back anytime soon.

The “LOVING TOFU” skewer with crispy tofu and creamy peanut sauce impresses with its balance of spice and nuttiness. Edamame with sea salt remains classically good. Highlight: The “CRISPY CRISP TOFU” sticks – crunchy on the outside thanks to rice crisp, soft on the inside, plus a clever raspberry chili dip for sweet and spicy accents. Absolutely try it!

Extremely good, just maybe a little loud

Great food, everything vegan, great service, feel-good atmosphere. The meal was a real experience and really fun. The four of us ordered different little things to share and that was really fun. In the end we ended up with a price of €25 per person, including homemade drinks. Very fair!

Simply tasty! Even if you're a non-vegan you can enjoy it here - after all, good food doesn't just consist of meat. Of course, the shrimp substitute can't compete with real shrimp, but that's not what the store can do about that. As a replacement product, it still works - and given the questionable aquaculture, it may still be the better choice.

Delicious and cheap, I've been here several times. As a woman, you'll be full from just one sushi roll; there are 10 large pieces. I say this as someone who usually orders 2 rolls + starter. The only negative point is that you can only pay in cash.

The food is pretty good! The staff is also very friendly. Parking was not easy, the only downside is that they only accept cash.

We stayed with a larger group Ate here and loved it! The purely vegan Asian cuisine absolutely convinced us - we can especially warmly recommend the sushi and curry. The starters impressed us with their variety and great taste. The cozy ambience and attentive service rounded off the experience perfectly. We were particularly pleasantly surprised by how quickly the food was served. We felt completely at home and are already looking forward to our next visit, because we will be back!

In my opinion a must for every lover of Vietnamese cuisine in Hamburg! Price with starter per person just over 20 euros and is very plentiful

I've been to Bodhi's very often and really like the food. I especially liked the crispy tofu. But otherwise all the dishes and drinks have been very tasty. If you want to order a few small dishes to share instead of a large bowl, it quickly becomes expensive. In principle, the prices are not overpriced. The restaurant is a pleasant size and modernly furnished. The light in the front part is rather dim, but I like that. The music is often loud and even with moderate visitors I find the general volume to be too high. There is a high chair for children, which I think is very good. The fact that card payment is not offered is communicated very clearly, but it is still very unusual these days. I think every guest has thought about their part...

We went to the restaurant spontaneously and were very excited. Fresh and high quality cuisine, beautifully presented and super tasty! Absolute recommendation! We'll be back!

Food is fresh n taste is good. Do try the cocktail n Vietnamese coffee. I also had baobao and Pagoda Dream. Thank you for serving good vegan food. Service was fantastic.

As a meat eater, I went here just to try it as my girlfriend recommended it. Food was excellently good. For me it was really surprising how good food you can have without steak or other meat. We went there three times in a row. Very strong recommendation.

I have rarely had such delicious Asian food and it was completely vegan😍 a big compliment! The soups were really delicious and the sushi and the various starters that we tried were also ultra tasty! The ambience and the service were also really great🙏🏼 We were particularly thrilled that the food was delivered super quickly😍 We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back anytime we are in Hamburg again😊

First of all: GO Vegan. Fundamentally support all restaurants that offer this! :) BUT: Contrary to the rating here, the sushi is unfortunately below average. Still cold from the fridge, hard rice and lots and lots of mayo. A good sushi is lukewarm and smooth (and without mayo). Maybe my expectations are too high, but definitely insufficient. That's better. :)

Bodhi Vegan Living is simply fantastic! The selection of vegan dishes is varied and creative, and everything I tried was absolutely delicious. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are perfectly balanced, and the presentation of the food is beautiful. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and attentive service, which makes the visit a real experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and modern, perfect for a cozy evening. An absolute must for vegans and anyone who likes to eat plant-based – fully recommended!

The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The only drawback is that you cannot pay by credit card.

We are very disappointed this time. The dishes no longer have the quality we are used to. Papaya Love didn't see any lime chili dressing. Instead there was just a huge jelly-like blob of cheap sweet chili sauce on top. We tried it, but decided to leave it alone (it only tasted like cheap garlic) and let the waitress know. She admitted that this sauce was wrong there and wanted to tell the chef. But nothing happened. When paying, the salad that was complained about was on the bill and had to be paid for. We no longer recommend the Bodhi. There are better other alternatives.

The exclusively vegan food was very tasty and varied. We ordered the small but delicious “To Share” dishes. 3 for one person is enough to fill you up. The shakes were also very good. The service was consistently very good. The ambience was also right. All in all, highly recommended.

If you’re looking for delicious vegan Asian cuisine and a cozy atmosphere, this is the restaurant to visit! We had to wait for around 10 minutes until our table was free, but the servers were very friendly. We ordered Crispy Crisp Tofu (with raspberry-chili dip !!!), Bodhi Pocket, Loving Tofu and Summertime Rolls as starters to share and each one of them was delicious! After that we had Peanut Cream with rice and the Cool & Green sushi plate as a main and again, they were delicious. The drinks were great too!

Love this place! My favourite go to when in the area. Super tasty, healthy vegan food. Just wish they had a Bodhi in more cities!

Very good food, although the vegan "chicken" tasted more like chewing gum with paper added after it had cooled for 2 minutes. Not a really friendly welcome, slow service, not entirely clean cutlery, a drink that was advertised as large was 0.2l.

Food and everything is good, but you have to do something about the mice in the store. Been there twice, months apart, and watched the mice scurrying around under the tables twice shortly before the end. Quite sweet. But it's not hygienic in a restaurant.

As a meat eater, I was biased and avoided this restaurant for a long time because I don't understand that restaurants that serve meat and fish are always expected to have vegan and vegetarian dishes, but vegan restaurants don't cater to meat eaters. I still didn't miss anything here because I don't have to eat meat every day. Really good Asian cuisine with very large portions for a low price! I based the portion sizes on the price, but 2 starters for €8 each and a main course were not feasible. If you are here in a group and are prepared to share, as is not usual in Germany, 2 starters per person are enough, so you can really let off steam for a small course. Very diverse and surprising crunchy treats that this vegan restaurant offers! Hats off, I didn't expect it, thank you for the lovely evening!

The best vegan restaurant in Town! Mind-blowing tasting food!

We were there for the second time and loved it both times. The dishes are extremely tasty and really well prepared! The service is very nice and quick. We didn't have to wait long until the delicious food was served. We will definitely come back.

DANGER! No more service after 9:30 p.m.!!! So the 11 p.m. statement is WRONG! We wanted to eat at 9:30 p.m. BUT the kitchen was closed and there were no more drinks! Even asking didn't help. “Everything has already been cleaned” they said. The atmosphere was like in a train station. We paid €18 for a free taxi. No understanding or insight. The staff preferred to finish work 1.5 hours earlier. NEVER AGAIN! Ad. Answer Bodhi: And now a lying answer from Bodhi, so it seems to have a system! SAD!!!

Fantastic! The food is excellent, inexpensive and beautifully presented. The menu is very diverse. The service staff are incredibly nice, courteous and warm. We couldn't have dreamed of it better. We will be back definitely! Thanks for that!

Bodhi is really a wonderful place to go if you want to eat Asian and vegan food. The selection on the menu is manageable and yet incredibly creative. Regardless of whether you want to eat several small bites like tapas or have a large main course - you will definitely be served very well in terms of taste. The team in the kitchen works at a wonderful level and visually every little detail on the plate is placed with love. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to wait a little longer here. This is understandable as the restaurant is buzzing with customers and is always full (a good sign in my opinion!). The service is still very friendly and accommodating. The food arrives very quickly after you order. The atmosphere is very modern and simple. Classic clichés from Asian restaurants are not used here in terms of decoration.

Huge range of vegan dishes. It was recommended to order 2 to 3 dishes per person. The two of us had 8 and this was easy to do. Including 4 drinks we spent €73. You can only pay here with CASH! Good atmosphere and friendly service!

Super tasty, we like to eat here or take it to go to the city park. It's not particularly original, but you know what you're getting and it's always been great. The location at the intersection is not particularly comfortable, but there is always something to look at outside.

Friendly service. The food contains many additives. Only cash payment is accepted and I wasn't even offered a bill on my two visits, even though you are required to do so.
