Blue Marlin Restaurant in Barth

It was our first time in this restaurant and we ordered the Valentine's Day menu. Unfortunately, all the menu guests were squeezed into a small corner. The ambience could have been a little more romantic, there were neither flowers on the table nor candles lit. Overall, we would have liked more attention. But the boss was mostly busy with the apparently well-known guests at the neighboring tables. At the beginning we were given a drink without explaining what it was. The individual courses were well-intentioned in terms of quantity but were too big. The starters didn't really convince us; the winter asparagus and Brussels sprouts were still too raw. The fresh bread served with it, however, was delicious. The intermediate course Barther Landei was very good. The main course: beef brisket: meat good, sauce too sour, mashed sweet potatoes unfortunately unappetizing color. The cannelloni pasta was a little too al dente and only lukewarm. The dessert was fine except for the cuts. For a Valentine's Day menu, there were too many onions in the dishes for our taste and there shouldn't have been so many peppercorns. In contrast to the other guests, we had to wait quite a long time for our main course. At the next table there was an old plum for the guests, but unfortunately not for us.

Hello Ingo and team, unfortunately I can only give 5 stars 😁 It was clear to me that your food could only be good. Today it was confirmed again.

If enjoyment of lovingly prepared food is important to you, then Ingo's restaurant is the perfect place to eat 😉. Everything we have been able to enjoy so far has always been delicious and worth seeing. We love the personal aspect of Ingo. Many thanks to the entire team and keep it up.

We're going to Ingo Essen with friends. It was a pleasure, I would even say it was palate porn. The tartare was an absolute dream and the main course of the wild burger was just mmmmm delicious. We'll definitely be back

The food is prepared completely fresh and is great! However, it takes time, so you shouldn't be too hungry. A “greeting from the kitchen” could bridge this.

- a few days before Christmas 2024 we chose a la carte in a small group: - Menu is creative and has something for every taste - no matter what dish they are all delicious - e.g. the ox cheek is something special and reflects the craftsmanship in the kitchen - Service is attentive, friendly and quick .. can sell very well.. (Sahne > Insider) - Price-performance ratio is right - The ambience is maritime-cozy with a great view of the harbor/bodden - At Christmas we went to brunch and here too everything was perfect and tasted good - Given this price-performance ratio, the brunch is definitely highly recommended - Service is also at the buffet, attentive and friendly - the kitchen was regularly restocked and the food in the chawin dishes was hot - the selection had something for everyone here too

Original menu, something different, not the “fish with fried potatoes” monotony, all dishes very attractively presented and tasty. As a vegetarian, I also found what I was looking for. It's great to be able to put together a 3 or 4 course menu from the dishes, which means you can save a lot as a fish or meat eater ;). The service was also very attentive and friendly. A lovely evening, we'll be back and would happily recommend it. I took a few flyers for the apartments with me. The only drawback: the atmosphere is a bit cool, the light is too bright for me. But yes - it's a harbor view restaurant and not a lunge bar ;)

Thank you for the lovely end to the week! The dinner was simply outstanding - every dish was lovingly prepared, perfectly flavored and of the highest quality. The service deserves special praise: attentive, professional and always friendly. It was noticeable that the well-being of the guests comes first here. The owners are incredibly warm and create an atmosphere where you feel welcome.

We were there on Sunday and had fried fish once, a dream. And I had the most tender ox cheeks you can imagine, they were definitely stewed for 5 hours. The vegetables were still crunchy, everything was served lovingly. You get a lot just by looking at the plate Joy. The cappuccino that followed made us stop again today. Because it was a poem! Since today we know that they can do cakes too. And what I really appreciate is that the cream didn't come from a can. We're already looking forward to the next visit. Maritime, cozy...good food, large portions...

We weren't noticed. Other guests who arrived later ate earlier and had to wait to reorder and receive the bill.

We wanted to eat here for Christmas with the family (9 people). In order to ensure the reservation, we already ordered the table on June 13th, 2024. Now the cancellation came that there will be no evening cuisine, only brunch, which is already fully booked. What an impudence!

There were four of us in the restaurant. From the reception to the farewell we were very satisfied. Starters: The soups and the homemade Bodden bread are highly recommended. Main course: Ox cheeks, Hamburger schnitzel and fried fish were absolutely delicious. The service was very good 👍. We will definitely recommend you.

Simply great, we were there twice in quick succession. My children also really enjoyed it.

We saw it on “Mein Lokal, Dein Lokal” at the end of September '24 and then booked a hotel in Barth. On November 1st, 2024 we stopped by Ingo's house. The Oschenbäckchen and the Hamburger Schnitzel were very tasty.

Today we were able to enjoy the service and food of this beautiful restaurant. The food was very tasty and it was also beautifully prepared. There were 4 of us and so we had different dishes. The starter was already very good and the main course was in no way inferior. But what was most noticeable was the really great staff. Unfortunately, this is rarely seen today. We can only recommend this restaurant. But it's better to reserve in advance. This service via the website also works great. We will definitely come back and we will recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

Interesting and very tasty variations on classic dishes. Lots of homemade food such as the bread and the fries. Very nice service and great location right at the harbor.

The plate is right there on the counter. We give it a full 10 points. The ambience is right, the service is top notch. It starts with the reservation, which can be done online. We were sent a reminder the day before and the day of the reservation. We were asked again and again whether we needed anything, whether everything was OK and in an absolutely pleasant manner. The food was great. My husband, who doesn't eat beetroot and doesn't eat much fish, ate both. The way traditional dishes are reinterpreted is a real delight. A lot of attention is paid to details that you won't find anywhere else. Man's best friend, the dog, gets something to drink and you don't just think about the little guests at the table. We will come back, definitely. Unfortunately there are just under 500km in between.

Visited due to the recent TV appearance on a short trip to Barth (with prior table reservation). Super nice, attentive and dog-friendly service. What was already apparent when we were greeted and assigned our table continued when the food was served. No bag, no conveniens... from the homemade fries to the brilliant side salad, everything was great! The chop: brilliant! Fried to perfection and super delicious! We'll be back!

We already know Ingo from Bugsy's and were very impressed by his love and creativity in the kitchen. With “Ingo’s Restaurant” Barth definitely has a win! Everything is right, beautiful ambience, passionate staff and such a culinary variety that triggers taste explosions and culinary delights every time. We're not from Barth, but the trip to Ingo's is always worth the drive for us and we're repeat customers!

Unfortunately it is a bit noisy when the restaurant is full... The food is excellent!! This mashed potato is a poem... the fish is very well fried, the Hamburger schnitzel is so tender that you can push it through and don't even have to cut it... The service was very attentive and courteous.

Four of us were there on Sunday evening. Luckily we had reserved in advance, otherwise dinner wouldn't have worked out. The ambience and interior fit perfectly. The view of the harbor - very harmonious. The service was quick, very friendly and concerned about our well-being. Our food was very tasty and tasty. We were particularly impressed by the reinterpretation of “old” dishes. Our favorite was the Labskau-style tartare. We would love to come back. Thank you for this successful evening.

Maybe our expectations were a bit high after “My Local, Your Local”, we expected a little more. It started with the starter, the tartare was a mushy mush, the potato soup and the fish soup were ok. The main courses: pike perch with black pudding and mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, we didn't taste any of the black pudding and the plate wasn't hot. Burger heaven and earth, very greasy and black pudding tasteless. The fries were very bad and floppy. We would have liked to have another dessert, but after the main course there was no service for ages. The ventilation didn't seem to be working properly either, it smelled a lot like fried fish. That's too bad. We were looking forward to a lovely evening with them. Best regards

Great food, some unusual combinations... but just be brave, pear and grits sausage with beans, zander and mashed potatoes just taste great!! The friendliness of the ladies at the service and the maritime flair go together wonderfully.

We would have liked to eat here. We were sent away at 7 p.m. with the information that two larger groups were there and that no new guests were being accepted. There were 2 groups of 8-10 people each and there were still plenty of free tables. This can also scare away guests in the long term.

We were there at lunchtime around the holidays. Extremely friendly and nice service. Fortunately, she also advised against simply ordering a schnitzel, because the fish dishes we then ate were excellent. Top quality and prepared with love for the product, which also includes the delicious side dishes, such as the cucumber salads. It's a shame that it's no longer open during lunch hours. Edit: Opening times have been updated and adjusted, no more criticisms from me. I'm looking forward to my next visit to Barth!

We went to Ingo's restaurant for dinner with the family. We were welcomed very friendly by the service and looked after very attentively throughout the evening. The dishes we ordered were not only well prepared but also tasted excellent. Special requests for dessert were implemented without any problems. Conclusion: really recommended

Very crowded on the weekend - nothing works without a reservation. You can eat well there at lunchtime. I had “beef cheeks”. That was good, but nothing special.

Der dritte Besuch in diesem Lokal und wir sind vom Essen immer wieder begeistert. Das maritime Flair, welches in Blau gehalten ist, spricht an, die Sitzgelegenheiten erscheinen im ersten Moment etwas hart, aber man gewöhnt sich daran. Das Personal ist sehr nett und flott. Insgesamt ist das Lokal eine sehr gute Empfehlung. Weiter so, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Unfortunately we were disappointed because we didn't like it that much and we expected more. The plaice was dry and the fish meat hardly separated from the bones. The pike perch was bland with the so-called blood sausage, or whatever it was... and the fried potatoes tasted like stale fat. A children's meal was forgotten. Submitted later...the child had to wait longer than us... There was only one children's ticket, for 2 kids. Handmade fries were ok. Schnitzel too. So, for us the kitchen and the restaurant as a whole were not convincing...

Were very surprised at what the people have done with the old Boddenkieker👍 different menu and ambience has changed, food is also better than before, tasted very good, the only drawback, 0.5 liter Schöfferhofer Weizen non-alcoholic costs €5.90, so I had to already swallow. Otherwise everything is okay 🙋‍♂️
