When I, as a meat-eater, order a vegetarian burger (Samurai Burger) and describe it as truly outstanding, that's a huge compliment. The pleasant atmosphere and competent service complete the picture perfectly. I'll definitely be back!

We were there yesterday, and it was a very enjoyable evening. The food was excellent, and the service was very friendly and attentive. The table arrangement offers plenty of space to feel private; it's cozy and has a nice atmosphere. There was a pleasant break between the appetizers and the main course. We will definitely be back! ☺️

We always love being guests at Blondies! It's not every day you find a restaurant that focuses so much on vegetarian and vegan options. For starters, we had the tofu skewers with the homemade peanut sauce (the ultimate indulgence, and simply delicious!), followed by the burger of the month, the "Santa's Burger," and a Sukhothai salad. And of course, dessert is a must, and we had their signature mousse! Despite a larger group (around 30 people) in the next room, our orders arrived quickly, which we really appreciated. Another lovely girls' night out!

Today, I unfortunately have to elaborate a bit and describe in detail a restaurant visit from last Saturday, which I, and not only I, had been really looking forward to, but which ended up with a bitter aftertaste. Let's start with the positives: Dear friends from my social media group were in the mood for some great food again. We ordered burgers, gyros, and the legendary "Taxi Plate" with currywurst, gyros, fries, and more. Okay—then there are the curries, the ingredients of which are listed on the menu. Because I, like probably many others, couldn't decide among the fantastic selection, I was happy that I could order the "Best of 3" option. I was looking forward to three different flavors and gladly paid the extra cost for these diverse taste experiences. Okay—then there are the curries, the ingredients of which are listed on the menu. We were right in the middle of cocktail happy hour, and they were offering decent cocktails and mocktails for a mere €6. A friendly employee took our drink orders, and after about 25 minutes, the first dishes arrived, burgers first. Unfortunately, the burgers and cocktails were to be the highlight of the evening. After that came the gyros and the "taxi plates," followed by the curries we had ordered. The portions, especially the "taxi plates," were unusually small. Well, we were looking forward to the food. But our excitement was short-lived. What was that? With a lot of effort, you could just about detect a pinch of pepper in the far too runny "tzatziki"—otherwise, it was just sweet natural yogurt with a few strips of cucumber. Liquidity was key, though, which brings us to the completely oversalted gyros. The currywurst, including the sauce, was quite tasty, however. Bam! And I wasn't the only one brought back down to earth with a harsh dose of curry reality. The (delicious) "Best of Curry" was essentially a coconut soup with six tiny pieces of tofu (unfortunately neither too few nor too many), served with a little rice 🍚. Larger portions of rice were also available if desired. Someone else in our group complained about their curry and asked where the vegetables were. They then received an ice-cold bowl of steamed broccoli 🥦 straight from the refrigerator. After complaining about the curry, I at least got the hot version. It's an absolutely sad first for me to have to complain online about the quality of a meal and its abysmal value for money. Critics often jokingly assume that I always rave about every meal, but after 11 years of daily posts and hundreds of restaurant reviews, I have to ask: where was the hidden camera, and were they trying to pull a fast one on us? The criticism was voiced discreetly and constructively on-site, which is also important. I addressed my disappointment directly via private message that same evening, but unfortunately, I haven't received a reply. I'm baffled. It can't be due to the change of ownership. When I look at reviews on Google, I can't really judge the taste, but the last photos of the taxi plate at least show a reasonable, almost double portion size. I haven't read about any experiences like ours there. Comparing it to my own pictures and to the previous version before the change, it's a completely different world (even with the coleslaw, for example). The style is familiar after the reopening, but simply warmer and more beautiful; the interiors are brighter, the staff is super friendly, the food is even tastier than expected (especially the buns were a hit), good value for money, we were very satisfied and will come again.

Uh oh. Went there for the first and probably last time on Saturday. With 13 people, practically nothing went smoothly! The gyros were way too salty, the tzatziki was thin and tasteless, and the salad was too spicy! The taxi plate only had half a sausage with curry sauce! Those who ordered the curries were missing the vegetables, which were more like soup; the vegetables were later brought out cold! Someone ordered the "Three Varieties Curry," and all three curries were just thrown together, also without any vegetables! Each curry only contained six tiny pieces of tofu. The piña colada was non-alcoholic. The price/performance ratio was completely off. After the meal, no one even asked about dessert or further drinks. The ambiance was great.

We're primarily meat eaters, but the patty on my burger was a very pleasant surprise. It was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the vegan gyros didn't impress us. But that's just a matter of personal taste.

The burgers are incredibly juicy, freshly topped, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they cook with love – not your standard fast food, but genuine craftsmanship. The side dishes are also excellent, and the staff is always cheerful and attentive. The owner is also incredibly friendly and makes you feel instantly welcome. A cozy atmosphere, fair prices – for me, clearly the best burger joint in Bochum! 👌🔥

Blondies has moved several times; some things have changed, some things have stayed the same. The food is always delicious, and even meat eaters can find something on the menu (making family gatherings so much more relaxed).

My son and I were there and had two super burgers: a goat cheese burger and an Asian-inspired one. Before that, we had a blondie salad with a super-exciting homemade Asian dressing, along with a homemade ginger and lime lemonade with mint. And the best sweet potato fries I've ever eaten. All for €49. I never would have expected such good food at a vegan burger joint! I've had so many bad and overpriced meals lately, but here everything was just perfect! Oh yeah, and the service was friendly, unobtrusive, and...proud of what he served us. I think it was the chef who even shared a few secret ingredients with us. And he was delighted by our interest—highly recommended!

The food was very tasty and delicious. The taxi plate was very close to the original. I would have liked a bit more currywurst; the four pieces of sausage were more of an appetizer than a filling meal. Overall, however, the portions were quite adequate and filling.

Nice little burger joint. Definitely worth a visit! They have a good selection of burgers, although my favorite burger has unfortunately been removed from the menu. Parking is also easy thanks to a nearby park and ride!

Even after the change of ownership, it's still a dream. The taxi plate and the burgers taste absolutely amazing. The selection is small and the prices a bit higher, but they all deliver in terms of taste, appearance, and size! The new chairs are super comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We'll continue to stop by regularly! A little insider tip: The new tofu skewers in peanut sauce are a treat!

The food was delicious, the gyro was solid, but there are better options. Unfortunately, it wasn't a "caller of the month" but a salad of the month, hence the taxi plate. Sweet potato fries and vegan truffle mayo were my highlight. My father had a vegetarian burger and liked it. I was missing a really great vegan burger on the menu, something special, like at Café Nord. The prices were on the higher end, but the food and service were good. I had the spicy edamame for starters, which "unfortunately came with a spicy sauce." I thought they were just spicy and salty. I could have asked, but they weren't bad. The tofu skewers with peanut sauce were very good. Even my father, a tofu hater, enjoyed them. All in all, a very successful evening with a bit of room for improvement. A special burger would have been nice to have.

We had a vegan taxi plate and a vegan burger, along with nachos with NoCheese sauce. Everything was delicious, and the service staff were very, very friendly, great. We parked about 200 meters away on a side street.

Almost everything on the menu is vegan, and what isn't is labeled "vegetarian." They do offer meat for "those who really can't live without it" for an extra charge. I don't really understand that either, but okay. At least the extra charge is the other way around. We had the taxi and gyro plate and creme brulee for dessert. It was truly outstandingly delicious! The gyro is seitan-based and really well-seasoned and juicy. The tzatziki is also homemade and equally delicious. The creme brulee was truly the best I've ever eaten! The staff is also really friendly; I've rarely experienced such nice and attentive servers.

It used to be a cool, nice, cozy shop with a lot of charm and colorful people in front of and behind the counter, but today it's rather boringly mainstream. The quality of the food has decreased. In terms of taste, I would guess ready-made burger patties. They don't taste like they're freshly made. But steep prices. Was a disappointing first visit after the change of ownership. Won't eat there again.

We were there with four people and had nachos with dips, the Thai curries and burgers and everything was very tasty and freshly prepared. Even those who normally prefer meat were enthusiastic about the vegan versions. The service was very attentive and courteous and the cocktails were well mixed. A successful evening for us.

く Yesterday I went back to the vegan burger shop that I used to love visiting. Unfortunately, I have to say that the experience has deteriorated significantly. Even though there were hardly any customers in the shop, I wasn't asked if I would like something else to drink or how I liked the food. Overall, the waitress seemed disinterested and obviously had no interest in the service, which is something I've never experienced before. What I found particularly shocking was when I overheard a young couple telling the waitress that it was one of them's birthdays. Her reaction was just a short "okay," which was quite impersonal and unpleasant. I then congratulated the young man because it was just so unpleasant. It's a shame how a place with so much atmosphere and nice service can become so bad. I think if the service was different or yesterday's waitress found a job that she enjoys more, she wouldn't be putting others down on a special night or even a birthday.

The food itself was very tasty and, above all, the large vegan variety was absolutely amazing! That's why it's so disappointing how bad the service was that we definitely wouldn't go there again. Our starter was forgotten, which wasn't noticed because we weren't asked how we found the food (despite the restaurant being empty). Overall, you felt rather unwanted and the fact that it was your birthday only got an “okay”. I can recommend it for ordering because the food itself is delicious, but the staff might need some work.

We were here for the first time. Nice ambience. We couldn't decide which of the great offers we wanted to take. We then shared two different burgers and they were even served to us correctly on our plates.

I always enjoyed visiting the old Blondies. A few weeks ago, I visited you for the first time since the change of ownership, and all I can say is, "Wow!" Finally, there's a selection of burger meats again, and really good ones from Kruse, not frozen. Super tasty burgers, top-notch service, and the cocktails are really great, too. See you soon!

Really excellent dishes that taste really delicious even without meat. Homemade sauces that deserve the name. A gyro without meat that tastes surprisingly authentic. Blondies was my favorite restaurant for years. I would even say the best burger I have ever eaten. Unfortunately, the “new” Blondies doesn’t convince me at all. The new decor may be contemporary, but it has stolen all the charm from the place and the burgers have really lost their taste... All in all, a really sad development. It used to be one of the coolest places in the Ruhr area, but I can no longer recommend it :/

We were there today for the first time since the reopening and are thrilled. We will definitely come back again. Everything is just right here. We had the cheeseburger with meat and the vegetarian Zickenburger as well as fries, everything tasted great. The selection of drinks is also great (fair, regional, sustainable, etc.).

Friday evening, everyone is hungry at rush hour and we had the best burger experience of our lives. The burgers were super tasty. Greatest food ever: beautiful, vegan and delicious! The renovation was also well done and the songs in the background aren't that annoying either. The only thing that bothered me was that the staff asked EVERY 5 MINUTES if everything was OK and everything tasted good. You can't answer well with your mouth full. I understand that the team is still new but that was a bit annoying

The food doesn't taste as good to me anymore, it's no longer organic quality, but it's still more expensive than in the "first" Blondies. It's a shame how things turned out. We won't go there anymore.

Delicious vegan food, good drinks and great service. Prices are steep, but the burgers were also very good. The burgers come with a selection of different patties. The fries came with very good vegan truffle mayo. It would definitely be worth a visit.

As a regular at the "old" Blondies, I was extremely critical as to whether I liked the new, slightly different concept, and I was very positively surprised! The furnishings and the lighting concept are very successful and appealing, it is individual and yet cozy - of course it is no comparison to the very unique style of the former Blondies, but it has its very own charm. The food was really excellent and to the point (new, very tasty burger rolls, fresh and richly topped) and the service was also extremely friendly and very personable. I will definitely continue to be a regular at Blondies. :)

Very nice restaurant with delicious dishes. Lots of vegetarian/vegan selection, including real meat if desired. Overall everything was great, but the only thing that bothered me was the fact that there was no cow's milk for the coffee. That would be the missing plus point.

Since the change of ownership, Blondie's has unfortunately lost charm and character. The alternative living room atmosphere has given way to a clean, run-of-the-mill restaurant. There are two Thai dishes on the menu that don't really fit into the "burger restaurant" concept. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and, fortunately, the burgers were mostly taken from the old menu.

We were there when it opened and we really liked it. We all really enjoyed the mainly vegetarian/vegan food! The service was also very good, although there weren't that many people there. We wish the team that the new concept gets off to a good start and we look forward to coming back soon.

The store has now reopened under new management and it looks really classy - just the look with the new logo! The interior is still relatively dark, but the new owner assured us that this will be taken care of promptly. The main focus is on vegan/vegetarian cuisine - for people who don't want to give up meat, there are also meat patties for the burgers. Coming to the burger: I had a cheeseburger with the oat patty, easily a 10/10! Service was also excellent, very attentive and friendly. Since it was the first day, it wasn't that crowded - the Blondies team hopes that changes quickly :-)

The food was ok, nothing special. The kitchen works incredibly slowly. Waited over an hour. But the portion sizes are an absolute disaster. I felt really ripped off. At €19 for the grill plate, I expect at least twice as much as what was ultimately on it and I'm absolutely not one to eat huge portions. You can charge a maximum of €12 for the quantity and that is the uncomfortable pain threshold. Never again, really. Absolute disappointment. And the waitress's fuss when the tip was "only €6" was the crowning glory, because the service was hardly there and the table was sticky.

The store was highly recommended by a friend who was there about 10 years ago. Unfortunately, she was just as disappointed as we were. It was okay, but definitely not THE store. Service was really not that appreciative (the waiter had to finish private conversations first, it took a while until the order was placed) and the food was just okay. The coleslaw was the best - had burgers and fries (McCain for sure). I wish everyone else who likes it bon appetit - for me it was probably the first and last visit. I'll do better at home :) (They weren't exactly friendly on the phone when making reservations.) & back then there was also the option of ordering beef, unfortunately now only vegan/vegetarian. In addition, unfortunately VERY loud, even though there were only 4 small groups there... you could hear every eating noise from the neighboring table and it was just unfortunately uncomfortable. And cold! Unfortunately, I don't understand the "hype" at all. A pity!

Delicious food and lovely service!

The food was quite tasty, but unfortunately cold. It took 50 minutes for our three dishes to be ready, but apart from us there were only 20 other guests in the restaurant. A conversation was only possible with a loud voice, as it was unfortunately loud around us and the acoustics are quite bad. Maybe I'll give the restaurants another chance and be pleasantly surprised.

There were four of us here and we ate our way through the vegan delicacies 😁 everything was great!!!!!!!! It was a bit too loud for me, but my three companions didn't think it was that way. A constant destination for years. You should always reserve a table (which makes me happy because it proves how good it is). No matter what I've had so far - I've always enjoyed the food, drink and service. The seats at the back/outside are awesome. Sitting there in summer - unbeatable! A permanent fixture in Bochum and important that you exist!

Best burgers in Bochum. This also applies to the normal (organic beef) burgers, although many people are probably familiar with the shop because of its vegetarian and vegan burgers... All in a nice, relaxed atmosphere.

Trotzdem immer super lecker und freundlicher Service!
