Tolle sehr freundliche Bedienung. Speisen und Getränke sehr gut. Ambiente sehr gut und professioneller Service. Mehr geht nicht. Kommen wieder.

Dejlig udendørsfaciliteter. Virkelig fint sted. Maden var af superkvalitet, virkelig velsmagende, lækker og perfekt stegt kød. Vi fik henholdsvis avocadotatar og carpaccio til forret. Hovedret var lam m/kartoffelgratin og flødestuvet spinat samt Huftsteak. Kød var noget af det lækreste længe. Meget personale, og så fint sted. Ikke et biligt sted, men absolut pengene værd.

Actually, Block House doesn't need special mention. Like everywhere else, basically good steaks and more! Good, friendly service. Today we were a bit unlucky because our waitress was probably new and didn't really understand how I wanted my food! We had the beef fillet with potato gratin and chicken leg with baked potato. Unfortunately, my fillet steak was a little overdone. Medium, yes, but close to the limit. Tastes very good! The gratin also tastes good, but the potatoes could be firmer. The boneless chicken leg was also very good, but the owner could have made it crispier. The baked potato was very good, plus the extra portion of sour cream! Overall...as you would expect from Block House. Good food, with a few small "mistakes".

Really nice place to eat. The steaks are always perfect. The waitress are always attentive and quick to bring your food. Always checking if we need something? Is everything OK? Really a nice place to eat.

Very disappointed. From the service to the food and the condition of the restaurant, everything was more than disappointing. If all Blockhouse restaurants develop like this then good night. Goulash soup like it comes from a can. Burgers loveless and without a real bun.🙈 The waitresses gave the impression that I should bring them something.

My daughter and I always enjoy coming to the Block House, and not just because of the delicious steaks and side dishes. The atmosphere for dining here is also right for us thanks to the friendly and helpful 'Good Mood' service team. Keep it up !!! 🤗 👍✨.

I have never given five stars. But in this case I can't help it. I've been to different block houses several times. But I've never eaten so well in any of them. I can't explain it, I can only recommend it with full conviction.

We decided to visit this restaurant while visiting our old homeland. We were not disappointed, which is no longer a given these days. We also had a very nice waitress at our table (Jeanie). We would be happy to come back. Thank you 😊

We were served very quickly and friendly. Jeanette was always there and regularly asked if everything was okay. Drinks and food came quickly. Unfortunately one starter came a little quicker than the other, so we ate it afterwards. Wasn't wild for us since she apologized for it and everything else outweighed it. Personally, I don't think it's good if there is a Mrs Rump steak with 180 g and a Mr Rump steak with 250 g. As a woman, you might think about whether it is even appropriate to have the large steak...

Comfortable area with outdoor seating. May not be a surprise but this is not a vegan friendly restaurant. However, you can expect to find high quality service and sweet strawberries to pair with smooth wine which all contributes to a lovely stop.

Very tasty food. The steaks were well cooked and the meat tasted perfect. That's how it should be. As VS we had beef tartare. Also a pleasure. And the portion size was perfect, so a 350g RibEye is possible. Our waitress, “Jeanie?”, was very nice and extremely friendly. This makes eating out fun. THANKS

Great restaurant in Kiel! We weren't disappointed again. Very tasty, generous portions and great service. The meat was very well fried (medium), the dishes were top notch. The Block House has homemade sauces! Delicious. Not difficult to find, in the middle of Kiel (near the town hall).

The food is nothing special. It's system catering and the price/performance ratio didn't suit me. Just way too expensive. Sure, good meat costs a lot of money, but the little meat on the plate was disappointing. I won't go there anymore. The only good thing was the service. Very attentive and friendly. 👍

The waitress wanted to come across as funny, cool, young at heart and relaxed. Unfortunately, this led to some embarrassing and very invasive situations, which the waitress in question didn't notice. She was completely confident in herself. Example: she brought the menu for dessert when I was getting up to go to the bathroom. Then she loudly said: "...but you're hurrying up, aren't you?!" I thought I wasn't hearing properly and our guests at the table and at the next table (!) all looked irritated too! Luckily I didn't speak up and countered with "I don't know why I should hurry" and continued on my way. She also called us by first name and sounded like Everybody's Darling. This woman was just embarrassing and distant.

Typical franchise. Expensive with little quality. There was also a super loud atmosphere and we were happy when we were outside again and could talk at a normal volume again.

The two of us had lunch at Block House Kiel today. First the positive things: - Service was extremely courteous, arrived at the table quickly and dealt with everything, and also had time for short small talk - TOP! - Drinks came very quickly, as did the food... The main point of criticism is the food, which unfortunately wasn't worth the price. - The "crispy" chicken thighs were not crispy in any way, the skin was limp and looked more boiled than fried/grilled - The summer vegetables were more than cooked and had clearly received too much seasoning (cooked in broth perhaps?) - The potato gratin was overcooked, and resembled more of a puree than a gratin - The lamb tasted good, but was cooked past the point for medium Overall not recommended.

We had lamb and beef. Both very tasty. And the lamb was tender as butter. Great service (Christina and a colleague)!! Reservation recommended on a Saturday evening.

Lunch or “lunch time” in the Kiel Blockhouse. Very friendly welcome and service. Pleasant atmosphere and very tasty food. It is generally recommended to reserve a table, especially on days with special offers.

A nice restaurant, primarily meat dishes of course but the vegan side dishes are also very tasty. Service is always very quick and the meat is always on point.

The food tastes great but unfortunately the portions are much too small and the prices are pretty steep. I imagined a lot more out of it as a big meat eater, so for someone who legally likes meat, it's nothing unless you want to spend 35 to 40 euros for a plate, but I was there was also the only time

I had a dinner date there with my daughter. And my assistance dog was allowed to accompany me. Even got a bowl of water. Even when I accidentally spilled the water from the bowl due to my disability, there wasn't a bad word. The employees who were responsible for us were more than friendly, polite and very helpful. Great food - steaks and burgers met expectations - herb baguette was a hit - salads in the evening perhaps lost a little of their freshness - otherwise recommended at any time - great service - quick and proper preparation of the food - we'll be back

Very nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The employees who looked after our table were very friendly and accommodating. The food, especially the absolutely fresh salad 🥗 😋 and the dessert were very tasty. Thanks to the chefs.

The steak was good, as were the fries and the rest of the side dishes... but when you order a classic burger, you expect a burger AND NOT A BURGER PATTIE WITHOUT BREAD OR ANYTHING. The Aperol Spritz was not good and unfortunately very small. The service was okay. The atmosphere is a bit outdated and there was no toilet paper left.

Friendly reception, then things quickly deteriorated. Inattentive service, filet mignon completely raw and cold. Ordered 2x additional Blockhouse bread, received 1 slice after asking again. Ambiance and volume of a large disco. All in all disappointing and not what I'm used to from Block House.

Actually it could be very comfortable. It was quite restless and loud. The food is super tasty, unfortunately even a woman can't get enough. Unless you have dessert afterwards. With the last bite in my mouth the plate was cleared away, which really surprised me. You had the feeling... time is money. Next please. What a pity. Staff is friendly and just hustling.

Excellent service. The very natural, very friendly service gave us competent and expert advice. Everything worked unobtrusively and perfectly. The food was super tasty. At least one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. Rib-eye master cut grilled to perfection. Roasted aromas on the outside and juicy, tender on the inside. There was no big fat eye, but several small ones. The people here understand what they are doing. The baked potato with sour cream also tasted very good. My really old man really enjoyed his filet mignon and completely polished it off. This happens very rarely with pieces of this size. We were all very enthusiastic and will definitely come back.

Price performance is not right. The food was good, but there were no side dishes nor was it nicely presented. Everything only for an additional charge. At €36 for a steak you expect more than just mayonnaise and ketchup with the fries.

Very nice reception with a friendly greeting. It continued with Cristian, who took the orders, and his colleague, who served... Both were very, very nice and very attentive. Oh, that food. It's been a long time since I've eaten such good meat and a great burger. We found the nice handwritten gesture on the bill from our waitress very nice when paying... All in all, a successful evening. We will be back!

Today I had a great sirloin steak medium (it was more of a bit English), fantastically seasoned, courteous service, nice ambience... gladly again!

Everything is designed to be quick. I would probably have prepared the most expensive steak at €41 better at home. Salad was ok, but not special either. All in all ok. Service was friendly and quick :)

Trevlig personal och riktigt goda köttbitar. Vi åt kyckling, ryggbiff och hamburgare. Hamburgaren var inte som en vanlig hamburgare man är van vid. Det var typ 200g nötfärsbiff med hackad tomat och ost på. Till detta pommes och en bit bröd. Kändes som en liten dyrare restaurang.

Hallo, ich bin gestern mit meiner Frau zum Abendessen dort gewesen. Das Essen war lecker, nur der Preis für die sehr kleinen Portionen passt überhaupt nicht zusammen. Und das wird bei den vielen guten Rezensionen nie erwähnt. Schon merkwürdig !!! Nun weiß ich jetzt schon die ausreden vom Betreiber!!! Nur wenn ein Gast nicht mehr satt wird kommt er auch nicht wieder. Das war früher auch so 😇 Mfg 😇

Klasse Lokal. Haben sogar am Samstag Abend noch spontan einen Tisch organisiert bekommen.

Obwohl wir keine Reservierung hatten wurde uns ein Tisch zugewiesen. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich. Das Essen war wie immer lecker. Vom Aufbau wie jedes Block House. Kommen gerne wieder.

Hier musste auf jeden Fall vorbestellt werden, um auch einen Platz zu bekommen, was ich dann auch getan habe. Alles in allem schönes Ambiente gute Bedienung und das Essen schmeckte auch.

Wenn die Speisen (Steak, Pommes, Bohnen) die richtige Temperatur gehabt hätten wären es 5 Sterne geworden. Alles innerhalb kurzer Zeit nach dem servieren nur noch lauwarm. Wurde auch dem Personal gesagt. Ansonsten gute Qualität der Steaks. Der Services war in Ordnung.

Block House - „da weiss man, was man hat“. Ich bin seit Jahren/Jahrzehnten Gast bei Bock House in Norddeutschland - auch in Kiel. Somit kann man sich üblicherweise auf gute Qualität (saftige Steaks, frische Salate) und freundliche Bedienung verlassen. So auch in Kiel in dieser Woche. Die Gastro-Preise steigen jedoch auch hier (wie überall in DE). Die Restaurant-Einrichtung (Gastraum) ist allerdings seit „ewig“ unverändert (Investitionen in die Zukunft oder nur Gewinnabschöpfung?).

Das blockhaus hat heute etliche Punkte unnötigerweise verschenkt: Mrs. Rumpsteak, rib-eye und Weidelamm waren gleichermaßen gut, das Kartoffelgratin als Beilage jedoch lediglich handwarm und musste nachbestellt werden. Der Spinat war erkennbar nacherwärmt, an der Oberfläche dunkelgrün und darunter gleichmäßig grün. Als Nachspeise habe ich einen Chocolate Lava cake bestellt, der wurde auf einem unzureichend gereinigten Teller serviert und höchst lieblos angerichtet. Schmeckte ziemlich nach convenience food. Kurz bevor wir gegen 22 Uhr das Lokal verließen (Aufenthalt 90 Minuten) waren wir zwar die letzten Gäste, hatten aber gerade 5 Minuten aufgegessen. Da wurde doch tatsächlich das Licht aus- und wieder angeknipst. Ich glaube da nicht an einen Zufall oder ein Versehen, das war schlicht unhöflich. Auch beim Kassieren keine Nachfrage nach der kalten Beilage und zum Abschied ein Tschüss statt eines Auf-Wiedersehen. Unter dem Strich kann ich dafür nicht mehr als drei Sterne geben.

Leider das erste Mal das ich sagen muss, das BlockHouse nicht gleich BlockHouse ist. Service leider schlecht, Vor dem Gast sich zu beugen um den Tisch abzuräumen geht gar nicht. Restaurantleiter sieht das unser Tisch voll ist voller leere Teller hat ihn nicht interessiert, blieb alles 20 min stehen. Vorspeise kam, Getränke waren noch nicht da. Das geht gar nicht. Pilzpfanne ist eher ein Lauchpfanne. Sorry,aber das war mit Abstand einer der schlechtesten Besuche die ich in einem BlockHouse hatte. Und es waren schon viele Städte dabei.

Essen war super, haben nur lange auf einen Tisch gewartet und die Bedingungen waren etwas überfordert. Trotzdem ein schönes Lokal und einen Besuch wert.

Nirgendwo schmeckt das Fleisch besser! Nur die Akustik im Restaurant ist bei vollem Haus eher stressig! Man kann sich nicht mehr normal unterhalten! Ansonsten immer wieder gern!

Mittlerweile nicht nur saftige Steaks sondern auch eher saftige Preise.

Essen, teuer und wenig... Pommes schmeckten wie von MC Donalds, Fleisch nicht wirklich gewürzt, Zusatzportionen zu mini... Wahnsinnig laute Geräuschkulisse in dem gut besuchten Lokal...eine Unterhaltung kaum möglich. Ambiente sehr schön, Service klasse....einige Parkplätze in der Nähe, mit Bus gut zu erreichen.

Ich kenne das Blockhaus schon seit über 30 Jahren...habe hier bis heute regelmäßig die köstlichen Essen genossen. Silvester 2023 habe ich mal den den Steak- Bürger gegessen....köstlich wie immer im Blockhaus....die Servicekräfte mega gut drauf und super freundlich. Ich komme wieder.

Essen und Ambiente wie in jedem Block House sehr gut. Auch gut gefüllt, wie in jedem Block House. Nur wurden wir teilweise sehr lange vergessen (was im Block House sonst nach dem Essen normal ist...) und dann gabs noch Ketchup aufs Shirt beim Abräumen... aber immerhin nen Schnaps aufs Haus.

Bestilte en steak, efter at have talt med tjeneren om mine præferencer. Desværre smagte kødet ikke af noget - som i absolut intet! Tjeneren kom med hvidløgssmør og en tomatbaseret sauce til at komme ovenpå - men det hjalp selvfølgelig ikke.... Tjeneren var utrolig flink og serviceminded - og det var jo ikke hans skyld kødet ikke smagte af noget. Men at reklamere med, at de serverede Nordtysklands bedste steak, er enten en voldsom overdrivelse, og ellers ser det sølle ud for!

Vorweg das Personal war sehr sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich persönlich habe ein Rumpsteak gegessen. Ich hätte mir etwas mehr Beilagen (Pommes) gewünscht, habe aber auch nicht nachgefragt.

Ich besuchte das BLOCK HOUSE Kiel am 26.12.2023 gegen 12 Uhr mit weiteren Personen zusammen und bestellte den New York Cheeseburger, eine Coca Cola und als Nachtisch eine Belgische Waffel. Das Ambiente ist außerordentlich gut. Die rustikale Einrichtung, angemessene Geräuschkullisse trotz eines vollen Restaurants, angenehme Beleuchtung und die Weite des Restaurants durch den großen Abstand der Tische zueinander sorgten für eine äußerst gemütliche Atmosphäre, in der man sich besonders wohl und geborgen fühlt während des Aufenthalts. Das Restaurant insgesamt und auch die Sanitäranlagen sind zudem stets sehr sauber gehalten. Der Service war gut. Das Personal war freundlich, aufmerksam und kompetent, so dass wir nie lange warten mussten und uns immer gut umsorgt fühlten. Der Service schien gut koordiniert zu sein. Auch das Essen und die Getränke waren gut. Die Pommes zu meinem New York Cheeseburger mit der guten Mayonnaise waren gut gesalzen und knusprig und die Coleslaw Garnitur schmeckte sehr gut und frisch. Das Fleisch des Burger war mir jedoch ein wenig zu trocken, was durch das Fehlen einer beliebigen Soße in direkter Verbindung mit dem Fleisch leider deutlicher wurde, obwohl der gebackene Edamer auf dem Fleisch sehr gut schmeckte und auch gut zum Fleisch passte. Auch das ofenfrische BLOCK HOUSE Brot war wirklich lecker, frisch und würzig, weswegen es sehr schade ist, dass nur ein Brot Teil des Burgers ist und das Fleisch des Burgers nicht gleichzeitig von einem Brot bedeckt und von zwei Broten eingeschlossen ist, wie man es normalerweise von Burgern erwarten würde. Der Preis von mittlerweile 16€ darf hier spätestens ein wenig hinterfragt werden. Die Belgische Waffel als Nachtisch war mit den warmen Kirschen, dem leichten Karamellaroma der Waffel, dem Puderzucker und fluffigen Teig großartig. Der Preis von 5,50€ war hier angemessen. Insgesamt ist das Restaurant auf jeden Fall gut und einen Besuch wert!

Das Block House erfüllt alle meine Erwartungen. Toller Service Leckere Fleischgerichte Ein sehr guter Getränke-Servive - toller Bartender*In! Das Personal scheint wirklich sehr gut untereinander zu funktionieren und sich im Service, gegenseitig zu unterstützen. Hinzu die ausgesprochen ansprechende Atmosphäre.
