BKK Thai Street Food in Frankfurt am Main

We loved the food and the service ! We came in one hour before they closed and without a reservation which was risky, still we got a table and the waitress gave us excellent recommendations on what to eat. She recommended great dishes and everything was super tasty and flavourful. She made us feel really welcome. The dessert was amazing, coconut ice cream and rice served in a coconut, it was soooo damn good ! We recommend this place. For the quality of the food the prices are definitely justified and even a good deal !

Very popular restaurant and delicious

The food is always delicious and authentic. The waiters and waitresses were also attentive, but everything was already being assembled by 10 a.m., which led to a somewhat uncomfortable atmosphere.

Outrageously small portions for DOUBLE the price. The menu doesn't offer much. It tasted good and the staff was friendly. But not recommended given the value for money.

The quality of the food is without a doubt sublime. In my opinion, this is the most authentic and best Thai food in Frankfurt. Unfortunately, the stools aren't particularly comfortable for extended periods, and service can be a bit inconsistent. Advance reservations are highly recommended for dinner.

Wonderful menu. And very helpful service – also with great recommendations. Not (just) the usual Thai menu, but also lesser-known dishes... and all at fair prices!

Super delicious food. The atmosphere is typical of a Thai street food shop. It was quite loud and very hot. So everything was very authentic 😃 Service was also very good.

My mom and I had a reservation for two and didn’t have to wait at all. The drinks were excellent! I ordered the “Crying Tiger,” and it was absolutely delicious—just like homemade. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of modern fine dining and traditional Thai cuisine. The wine list was impressive, and the staff were exceptionally polite and attentive.

Unfortunately, the food was a bit spicy, so it's best to let them know if you'd prefer something less spicy. All the ingredients were very fresh and the staff were very friendly. The whole place was very authentic. The food was good, but it was a bit too spicy, and as a European, you don't necessarily know all the ingredients, so it might be a good idea to check what you're eating beforehand :)

A real street food atmosphere with great food. It was a random discovery, but it was definitely worth it! We'd be happy to go back.

Small shop with a small street terrace. I had crispy pork belly with Thai broccoli and dried beef. Both dishes were delicious. Service was relaxed and friendly despite the busy place.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to

The best Thai food in Germany, for all I know. I try to stop by here every time I'm in Frankfurt. And the service is super personal, with people who are proud of their cuisine and who enjoy cooking great food. I especially recommend the Morning Glory as a starter, as well as the pork belly with snake beans or the Crying Tiger.

The food was okay; I've eaten at much better Thai restaurants. The Pad Kra Pao portion was extremely small and the flavor wasn't particularly amazing. I actually missed the Thai basil altogether. For normal restaurant prices, though, you sit on plastic stools—which I find a bit cheeky.

The food was okay, but nothing special. You can definitely find better Thai cuisine at other restaurants – for example, Aroydee. The service, however, was very unprofessional and rude. I was there with a colleague. She had already finished her meal, while I was still eating. The waitress simply cleared the table without asking first – even though she clearly saw that I was still eating. My colleague had to point out that I wasn't finished yet. There was no apology. We were also served by several waitresses, all of whom were very unfriendly.

For me, one of the best Thai restaurants in Frankfurt. The food is delicious. The service is friendly. I find the stools a bit uncomfortable. One downside is that it gets more expensive every time I go there/order. Even the vegetarian/vegan options. It's just become too expensive overall.

Delicious and authentic Thai food in the heart of Frankfurt! We had morning glory, pork with red curry, clams and pad thai - all dishes were full of flavor and tasted just like in Thailand. A bit pricey, but totally worth it. Highly recommended for Thai food lovers!

Great staff, very good food and pleasant atmosphere.

The decor is nice and the staff strives to provide attentive service. Unfortunately, instead of being spicy, my meal was super mild, which should be explained as “European” spicy. It wasn't even remotely spicy. I had to add more seasoning, which certainly makes the taste different from the dish I originally planned. A vegan curry with just a few vegetables is too expensive at €15.50.

The visit was a complete disappointment. The waitress was rude, arrogant and seemed completely uninterested in welcoming us. The food was tasteless and completely overpriced. I even felt uncomfortable afterwards. For these prices I expect a lot more. There's just nothing wrong here. Never again.

The BKK Thai Street Food was an insider tip from my friend. The food was delicious and had a very special taste. I particularly like that the restaurant doesn't offer a large selection of dishes, but rather focuses on a smaller, specialized selection. The employees were all very friendly.

I’m Thai and I would say this restaurant is authentic one. The taste, decorations, vibe brought me back to my country. Fish, satay, crying tiger were nice. Thai milk was a bit light for me.

As we all know, tastes are different. But both my companion (Thai) and I returned our food. The waiter acknowledged it with relative indifference. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. Otherwise the store made a good impression. I still won't try it again.

Not my favorite Thai but was okaysh

For me it is an overrated location. It's very expensive and for me it's not good value for money. The portions are small and the prices are high. The hospitality was good. The staff friendly and attentive. The food tastes good.

We expected more. I'm surprised at the reviews that call the food authentic. We didn't even like the standard dish Pad Thai as we are used to in Thailand and other Thai restaurants. The other two dishes we had didn't really impress us either. 2 out of 3 dishes were too salty. Clearly too expensive for the portion size and the taste experience. Therefore we would probably not visit the store again. But the service was attentive and nice. I can't complain about anything in that regard.

Food was good, but I would have imagined it to be more “special” in terms of taste, lots of wines, reasonable prices, very friendly service, but unfortunately very poor acoustics, i.e. as the evening progresses the background noise increases more and more, so that conversation is only possible under difficult conditions is possible - a shame, because otherwise it's good!

Environment is cool, loud, food is great but service is quite rushed, you share tables with other people and sit in plastic stools - so for me, the prices are quite high for the offer. If you are looking for a street food experience and dont mind to pay as if you were in a real restaurant, the place is great!

The restaurant is very nice and has a great ambience. The service is really great and always courteous, attentive and helpful with any questions about drinks and food. The food tastes great and the wine is also very good. I cannot in any way confirm a racist attitude of the service towards the guests or unequal treatment of the guests based on their origin, their appearance or other characteristics, as stated by our table neighbors.

This Thai gastronomy is very authentically designed and very tasty, both for the eyes and for the palate. Staff from service to the chef and others behind the scenes are very friendly and share their joy with the guests! Reservation is recommended as it is very well attended. I can recommend it!

I had fried rice with vegetables and chicken. The ingredients were good and fresh, but overall the food really wasn't anything out of the ordinary. But very greasy. The fact that the whole thing cost 15 EUR was clearly too much. I would describe service as rough, but the lady was solely responsible for the entire dining room and was already stressed when she opened the door. The plastic stools are funny, but not a requirement for me.

The food and atmosphere are great, the service is competent and warm! But: Even if you know the timeslots, they are annoying. You would like to order a second and third drink, eat dessert or order a cocktail... but you can't because you have to make room for the next guests... which is a shame, because that doesn't seem very hospitable and detracts from it 1a impression that you otherwise have of the BKK.

Essen, Service und Ambiente sind super. Wirklich herzliches Personal. Das einzige was echt stört sind die Slots. Am Ende fühlt man sich immer zwar freundlich aber doch bestimmt hinauskomplementiert, was der Gemütlichkeit definitiv schadet und einen blöden Beigeschmack hinterlässt.

We had dinner at BKK yesterday and it was incredibly tasty! The service was super friendly, attentive and very hospitable! For me personally, the portion was okay, but I think that for some people the portion might be too small, especially for the price.

One of my favorite restaurants in Frankfurt for Thai food! The food is super delicious and the space is very nice and cozy. I recommend it 100%. Sometimes the service is a little stressed but it is understandable because there are always quite a few people, so I recommend making a reservation in advance!

The location and look are funny and actually remind you of a vacation in Thailand. The restaurant is often full and spontaneous visits are often difficult. The menu is small, but I like it. Personally, the starters were a bit too “fried” for me. The prices are high, the food is delicious. The service was mostly good but nothing special compared to the competition.

I went there for lunch last week on a recommendation. It wasn't just the ambience and the food/drink that were convincing. Particularly noteworthy is the boss herself, whom we got to know in a conversation. You can tell how much joy and commitment she has in running the store. Super delicious food. Prices are rather moderate. Sitting not quite as comfortable. The decor is all plastic chairs and rather low budget. Service depends on the day. Sometimes okay, sometimes not so good. not barrier-free! The chicken wings are my favorite as an appetizer. :) If you're lucky, you can park on the street for a fee or in the parking garage opposite, also for a fee.

You can get really tasty food here. The Pad Thai is my favorite, followed by the pork belly in red Thai. Everyone will find something to enjoy here. Unfortunately, a small minus is the volume. It's hard to have a conversation inside because the music is way too loud and people also talk way too loud.

Pure holiday feeling! Many dishes are rarely found on the menu in Germany. Just ask when ordering what level of spiciness you want! It has now become very European.

The food is very tasty and original Thai 👌. There's not much you can do about the ambience of sitting outside right on the street, but that makes up for the good food.

The papaya salad was good, but way too spicy. My main course wasn't good at all, but that may have been because it was too authentic. Unfortunately the prices are too high. The service was great.

I thought for a long time whether I should write this review because I actually really enjoy the food at this restaurant. My friend and I came here often and always left good money. Unfortunately, we had to endure the boss's unpleasant behavior again and again. The boss is extremely pushy when ordering food and always asks whether we would like any overpriced add-ons. Once we splurged and ordered spring rolls for €6.50 and fried lotus roots. Both tasted like frozen food, and the lotus roots were more reminiscent of cardboard. Nevertheless, we came back often and continued to enjoy our regular dishes. Each time we also ordered water for €7 and additional drinks. Today, however, the camel's back has overflowed. I had reserved a table in the morning, but became so ill that I had to go to the hospital. My family (3 people) still went but couldn't be on time. I then got a call from the boss who asked where I was staying. When I explained that I was sick, she interrupted me mid-sentence with a rude "All right, 😀😀😀😀😀thanks, 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀bye"😀😀😀😀 and hung up. Hello? Are you crazy? What kind of sound is that?! I tried to explain that my family was still coming, but they just hung up on me. Such a disgraceful manner, especially from a boss! This is really a shame. I've only come here for the food (compliments to the kitchen), but the service is terrible. I've always endured it because I liked the food, but the boss seems so focused on money that it just makes you feel uncomfortable. No wonder the waitresses change so often - if she were my boss, I would quit immediately. It seems I'm not the only one with this problem. Conclusion: Delicious food, but the service and the boss are unreasonable. A pity! I'm willing to pay high prices for good food, but if I'm treated like a piece of trash, this restaurant is disqualified for me.

The food was ok, not as spicy as I would have expected in a Thai kitchen. The service was a bit slow and disorganized. Polite but you felt like you were being handled. Ambience is really successful!

Hervorragendes Essen, leider wird man am Tisch komplett durch gehetzt damit der Tisch möglichst schnell für die nächsten Gäste frei wird.

PMQ is a splendid Thai restaurant with a kind of magic that attracts you. The one-page menu on the countertop has a variety of Thai delicacies, including skewers, tom yam soup, main dishes, salads🥗, and desserts. If you want to have a drink, wine/beer/cocktail are available.
