The food is good. However, the staff isn't friendly enough for me. When the latte macchiato was forgotten, despite the beeper, I reminded them about it after about 30 minutes. The young lady's reaction was to roll her eyes. Unfortunately, the older manager doesn't have a particularly pleasant aura either.

The outdoor seating is very pleasant by the harbor. It's self-service, which wouldn't be a problem if the staff weren't so chaotic when serving food, and then so unfriendly to guests in the chaos. The food is (as many report) delicious, but the fish sandwiches are expensive for what they're worth. The herring sandwich came with half a herring (!) – I haven't experienced that anywhere else, and the fish cake was industrially produced and also small. Overall, I would choose a different place next time...

It's a self-service restaurant. The menu is varied, but there's plenty of fish and seafood. We had Büsum plaice with fried potatoes and crab sandwich with fried eggs. The plaice was perfect. Plenty of crab, as was the crab sandwich. Both were truly delicious. The plaice was still a bit translucent, and the fried eggs were soft, sunny-side up. The white Merlot was surprisingly good. A bottle for under €20. It was good, simple, no-nonsense food.

The reason for this review was a while ago, but saying nothing doesn't change anything. A quick stroll around the harbor in the evening and an after-work beer and a shrimp sandwich...that was the plan. I snagged a seat on the outside terrace with my wife and dog (well, wife and dog, I had to spend quite a while in line). But then I can take the beer outside...so that we'll have AT ALL something on the table for the next hour. Besides an apology, they also offered a drink on the house, which was annoying...but it happens sometimes and you can forget about it. So, two weeks later, I gave it another try...stupid idea. Waiting for an hour (for a shrimp sandwich!!!), which had since experienced a price increase (50 cents) and a simultaneous quality decrease of (charitable) 10%. And there is no real indication that the VAT reduction in the restaurant industry is being passed on to the guest.

Had a herring roll here, it was really delicious. Since it's very busy here, you have to queue for a really long time in the extreme heat for your food (but hey, you have to be happy when things are going so well and there's a lot of business; after all, the catering industry should be able to survive in all of our interests). The long queue did allow me to take a look at one or two dishes. They looked really delicious 😋. So I went back for dinner the next day. Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment! The small side salad was practically plain, with no herbs, spices, vinegar or oil. The fish was fried to death. The accompanying sauce was surely a ready-made product. I'll definitely order herring rolls again!!! Otherwise, you can eat there, but it didn't suit my taste.

We wanted to redeem a voucher, which had been sitting in the cupboard for three years. We drove to the restaurant, asked if it was still valid, ordered, paid the remaining amount, and waited for the food. Suddenly, two employees came over to us with a booklet and the voucher and showed us that our voucher number was crossed out in their booklet, meaning the voucher had already been redeemed... So, whether the bistro had sold a voucher with the same number twice or whether it was a fraud is unknown to us. As we came in with an original voucher, we find it impossible that they still demanded the voucher value from us (which we also paid!).

Top-notch fried fish, not often served—no industrial fare. Freshly prepared and delicious, with a delicious, fresh salad and tartar sauce, a real treat. The wait was short. However, the beer glass was quite greasy, and the tables could have been wiped down now and then. But it was also busy.

A definite recommendation! The food is fresh and quickly prepared. We had only delicious fish dishes. There's a decent selection of drinks, as well as cakes and tarts to accompany your coffee. It's generally self-service, and the line to order can sometimes be long. The ambiance is perfect, and the terrace by the harbor is fantastic.

Beautiful location, great atmosphere, and excellent food! The Finkenwerder plaice was a highlight, as was the Hallig bread – fresh, delicious, and prepared with love. Highly recommended!

After a long day, I went there with my wife to eat a delicious fish sandwich. It was actually quick, but I looked around and realized that cleanliness isn't their passion. I found a free table and wanted to bite into my sandwich, but it didn't work. It was rock hard, I couldn't even crush it with my hands. I went back to the counter and complained. The answer was, they're all like that. I got my money back, and that was it: no apology, no alternative offer. Sorry, never again.

Great location for this fish restaurant overlooking the marina. A decent menu with big portions and sensible pricing. Very efficient service and the food was produced quickly. Busy at 12.30 on Thursday in late July but everyone was catered for it seemed. We had fish and potatoes which was delicious. Thanks to the friendly staff, I recommend this place.

Ordering and serving drinks is often a tedious undertaking, which is a real shame, as you wonder whether you should even wait in line for a second refreshment in the warm shop. The fries are great! The fried potatoes always turn out differently. Addendum: The fries also vary greatly in how they are cooked, and yesterday they should have been cooked for another two minutes.

I eat there three to four times a year. The food is generally very tasty, simple but honest, home-style cooking, and the portions are generous. My dish of choice is herring with fried potatoes. Since my last visit, the prices have been raised again, and the portions have been reduced. Instead of the usual three, there were now only two herrings on my plate. I would have understood either of these on its own, but to be honest, I find both at the same time a bit problematic.

Had a great meal here while passing through. It was a bit like a mass-produced restaurant, but that didn't detract from the food itself, at most from the ambiance. Quite the opposite; the high turnout speaks volumes about the quality of the food. Everything tasted very good, and the prices were fair.

If you plan on waiting a bit, you can have a great meal there. The chefs seem to be skilled and know how to cook. The service could be improved.

Maybe "just" a snack, but what a snack. I'd have fried fish with fried potatoes, and the next day, king prawns with garlic bread. Both were very filling and tasted great.

Whatever we had, it was delicious. The fish was cooked to perfection, the fillets buttery soft. When it rains, there are only a few seats, but if you wait or aren't afraid to sit at someone else's table, you'll always find a spot. The outdoor area is larger and right on the water. The food is quick, and the fact that it's self-service doesn't bother you at all.

Unfortunately, the fish sandwiches are getting smaller and smaller, and the toppings aren't as good as they used to be. That was actually their signature dish. Edit: The price of the fries has increased significantly, and the quantity has decreased significantly. That's it for me.

Hier sitzt man wunderbar direkt am Hafen und hat bis in den späten Abend Sonne. Getränke und Essen holt man sich selber ab. Da ist auch schon der Knackpunkt: hier wäre an der Ausgabe/Kasse auf jeden Fall optimierungsbedarf. Mein Flens war auch nicht so richtig kalt, das ist aber vermutlich darauf zurückzuführen, dass es schon Abend war und den ganzen Tag viel los war. Das Matjesfilet mit Bratkartoffeln war auf jeden Fall sehr lecker und vom Preis in Ordnung. Für mich sehr empfehlenswert.

I was there with a group of seniors. Secretly eight of them. Many with walkers. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable. Even though we only had one fish sandwich each, the service was excellent.

My girlfriend and I, to our regret, have only picked up takeaway food from this fish snack bar twice. But at short intervals😊👍😊 The fact that this place is booming is due to its performance. All orders are prepared ❗ fresh ❗. As I stood in line at the order point, I was able to glance at the plates being carried past me from the pickup area to the respective tables. Everything looked lovingly prepared (the eye is with me 👍) and looked delicious across the board. The guests sitting and eating at the tables did so with dedication and appeared very satisfied. The entire work area is permeable to view from many corners. What one could see is clean, even when "the place is on fire." The team appears well-coordinated, functioning like a harmonious machine. Neither friendliness nor attentiveness are neglected. The "shop" is like a treasure chest, because everything is well thought out in a very small space. There's a "counter" for taking orders. The work here is multifunctional: orders for plated meals are forwarded to the kitchen. The customer placing the order receives a piper, which signals them when their meal is ready. They then go to the "counter" for picking up plated meals, and at the end, the guest clears their table and brings it to the return area. At the "counter" for ordering, drink orders are immediately processed, also self-service. The respective fish sandwiches (to-go) are also freshly prepared in this area. Each sandwich is buttered, so it doesn't get soggy from the fish topping and stays crispy. We opted for sandwiches with Bismarck herring and matjes (shrimp). Generously topped, in my opinion, with a whole fish fillet each, with a generous amount of onion (if you like), and a good lettuce leaf. We struggle every time, even though our stomachs were rumbling beforehand. The rolls seem to be custom-made, certainly not run-of-the-mill, and extremely delicious. There's a large outdoor area, a terrace with seating, and even a beach chair. Inside, the seating is limited, so reservations are recommended. The area is wheelchair accessible and offers a great view of the Schlei fjord. Parking spaces right outside are limited, though. However, there are 2x ♿ & 3x 🔌🅿️...but more 🅿️ are available within walking distance. This "shop" is no longer an insider tip, as the license plates attest. Highly recommended in any case. We are certainly repeat "offenders." We're now 2025. I've gone from being a to-go customer to a local guest. I love kibbelinge. These are finger-food-sized pieces of fish fillet, delicious in a crispy breadcrumb coating. They're perfect with fries, but other side dishes are also perfect, some for an additional charge, with a delicious remoulade/garlic mayo dip, if you like. I'm taken care of; my orders are brought to my table without being asked, and if my usual spot near the dish return is occupied, they're cleared away again. I've become a regular there by now. If my plate isn't empty, the leftovers are lovingly packaged to take home.

We'll be repeat customers. And again, it's delicious, and there's no long wait. We sat outside; it was extremely windy, but unfortunately, there are only shallow planters around. Some wind protection would have been nice. This also causes the food to cool down faster. Perhaps this is worth improving?

We can only recommend Zander’s Northern Lights! Located directly at the harbor, you not only have a fantastic view, but also the opportunity to sit outside and watch the maritime activity. The food is very tasty - the matjes with fried potatoes are to die for, as is the fried fish with potatoes and remoulade. Simply delicious and perfect for a relaxing day by the water. We'll definitely be back!
