Super delicious homemade fish & chips. Recommended

We ate here every day for a week and everything was great

In 2 weeks of vacation, I've never eaten so badly! I have few problems with self-service, especially in times when you can't find any service staff. What I have real problems with is when Covinient Food is implemented so cheaply and poorly in the kitchen. We had potatoes, once with turkey strips (totally dry and riddled with tendons) and once with salmon (looked and tasted like cheap Aldiware. If I then have to wait almost 20 minutes at the checkout to order 2 bottles of apple spritzer, then my patience is at the end! Anyone who works at the checkout shouldn't have to prepare coffee and other things. Cash in, give out a drink if necessary and you're done! The tables were not clean, tables were placed very close together and smokers made the food full of smoke... I was there twice - the first and last time!

The field potatoes with salmon strips were seasoned poorly or not at all, the salmon strips consisted of sliced ​​salmon. It just didn't taste good

Large selection of fish dishes. Everything was very nicely prepared and delicious

The location is TOP. That's about it. I was expecting a fried fish like in the pictures. Unfortunately I only got a little less than half. My partner's kibbeling was rather mushy under the crispy dough. Not even the Flens popped. A sundowner with an aperitif in the front row is always good.

Great food, inexpensive and good

Labskaus, herring rolls, beer, water, white wine 38 euros. Food good, view nice, self-service hectic with queues all the way through the restaurant.

When the weather is nice you can sit here very well. Food was good.

To satisfy the hunger, a herring roll was ordered here. And it was a real bread roll, not like the small, baked industrial rolls that are so often found. It was freshly prepared and was absolutely convincing in terms of size, toppings and taste. Only the price, which is a bit too high for my gut feeling, prevents it from getting the top grade.

Beautifully located on the edge of the harbor. We had fish sandwiches. These were freshly filled according to our wishes. The staff was very friendly and quick.

The food was great, there was even something for our fish skeptic. There are also dishes without fish.

It's nice to sit at the harbor, even if you're constantly being stared at. The fish was okay to good, the fried potatoes tasted absolutely bitter and none of my family ate them. 60 € for 2 adults and 2 children (without wine or beer) and you still have to get the food and clear the table yourself.

The self-service restaurant is beautifully located directly on the harbor promenade. The fish dishes are exceptional. The team does everything to provide the guest with quick and good care. We'll be back.

August 15, 2024 After our very nice Schlei boat trip, six of us came to the Zander's restaurant. The view and the entire ambience are an absolute recommendation when the sun is shining and the temperatures are pleasant. We all really enjoyed the self-service food we ordered. All the dishes were of high quality and presented very attractively, and the food of the guests sitting around us also made the same good impression. We were lucky to get there in time; after 6 p.m. there were usually no free tables left. 😀 for good reason, you can stop here without hesitation. The prices are completely acceptable for a restaurant geared towards tourism and the given location. Thank you very much and we will definitely come back.

It was one of our favorite restaurants in Schleswig. Unfortunately, the quality of the fried potatoes has become very poor. The last two times they were soggy and only luke warm. For us it's over for now, which is a shame.

Full of fish! I've eaten my way through the menu over the years. Everything is tasty and of good quality. But the panfish is simply the best. Three large fillets with perfect fried potatoes - a poem. The dishes are prepared quickly and it never takes long for the Pipser to get in touch. Anyone coming to Schleswig should stop here.

Small self-service restaurant directly at the harbor with a large outdoor terrace. Staff very friendly, restaurant very clean. Delicious food, beautifully presented at reasonable prices.

Charm of a burger chain just on the Schlei, eating was like that, what I wanted was out, unfortunately, holiday time full of tourists, just normal. If the food and drinks are brought to the table without any accidents, that's something. The staff who take the orders and collect them and hand out the beeper are very friendly and prompt despite people ordering things that aren't on the menu If you're looking for a snack, you've come to the right place ✌️

If you're happy with a frozen fish with lots of breading and hardly any meat after waiting half an hour, this is the place for you! Otherwise, I recommend obvious alternatives directly in the neighborhood! Too bad!👎👎

A restaurant with ordering at the counter. It took me a while to figure out where the menu was. Unfortunately there was no Labskaus, but the pan fish with fried potatoes and cucumber salad we ordered was delicious and more than filling. I wasn't entirely impressed with the fish itself; in places it was a bit hard and full of bones. Picking up the dishes and bringing them back are part of it, but it doesn't detract from the charm of the restaurant. Very friendly staff, direct location at the harbor, unfortunately only open until 8 p.m. But I'd love to come back.

Super tasty fish dishes and large portions

The offering is fresh and delicious prepared and served. Unfortunately, the parking space in a public parking lot does not offer any seating.

Really good meal, I got 3 kinds of fish fillets, trout cod and flatfish with charred potatoes. We sat close to the harbor quay in beautiful weather and enjoyed the view and atmosphere. Service only got 4 because we have to pick up and bring food and service ourselves, but the price also reflects this. However, the front staff are super nice and qualified and hard working and deserves a big star each! The place is great for the hungry and price-conscious.

Five stars for the flair, it's a tourist magnet and also looks so rustic. Self-service restaurant with acceptable prices. Initially to be understood as a fish stall, but it also has “normal nofish dishes for ME”. Restaurant is located right on the harbor and is almost always full. But waiting a moment helps! Inexpensive, quick, home-style Nordic cuisine. Nice to sit at the city harbor.

Wir waren heute Mittag dort zum Essen und waren sehr zufrieden. Wir haben schon lange nicht mehr so "günstig" (im Vergleich zu anderen) und gut gegessen. Das Jägerscj war riesig und sehr lecker, das Schollenfilet top und die Bratkartoffeln auch sehr lecker. Mit Blick auf's Wasser und auf den Hafen. Personal war sehr nett zu uns. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder :)

I have my boat here in the harbor. I've been a guest here for years and have always been extremely satisfied. However, 3 weeks ago the sour meat was totally over-salted. I never had anything like that.... According to chef... "can't do it".. Well...but it was. Today we had currywurst with fries. This used to be an insider tip here. Quantity great, quality 08/15. That's it... Today our fries were not crispy and the sausage was no longer prepared in a sophisticated way (otherwise there was a little lettuce and fried onions on the sausage). With 1 cyclist and 1 specialist over 23.00 euros. For self-service.. That too with motorcycles behind me that feel like I have to turn it up a notch. At least the view of the Schlei is always nice. But the port and restaurants are becoming more expensive and worse. A pity.

We had 3 types of fish with potatoes 5* but the kibbelingen was 1* The service behind the bar was grumpy. The ambiance was great and the beer perfect.

Best Fischbrötchen ever. We had Fischbrötchen with some local beer. Recommended the Matje. Service was astounding fast. Nice location in front of the harbor, with easy parking and charging station for electric car.

This time I ordered a stream fish roll because there was a ready-made one on the counter and it looked delicious. Unfortunately a wrong decision, no taste, there was no salt at all, it was lukewarm, not even greasy but just watery and when I took a bite the fried fish fell apart into pieces. Unfortunately no recommendation.

Zander's Nordlicht is a cozy, small bistro where you can eat delicious food. Whether you eat there or order take-away, the food is freshly prepared quickly and deliciously. The fried fish in beer batter with fries or in a roll is particularly recommended. If you want to sit inside, you should reserve a table in advance.

Absolutely delicious fish sandwiches and other delicacies, prices are the same as everywhere else these days, but if we go somewhere to look at the money, we're advised to stay at home anyway. If you go away and want to enjoy something nice, it costs something to have a nice time 😘👍

Good food, but when we were very bothered by the Nac Harnisch by loud cell phone conversations and we spoke to the people, the waitress immediately said what a problem we had, other customers didn't feel disturbed either, and in a flippant tone . The portion size is incredible - for example, 1 crab roll has so many crabs that it would be enough for 2 rolls are enough and the matjes rolls are also lavishly topped - that is absolutely unrivaled!

Sensational!!! We were guests here twice during our vacation. Perfect dishes prepared with love, absolutely top service and with a view of the harbor. We made reservations by phone on our second visit. When we arrived, we found handwritten tablets with the guests' names on the tables. Great idea. 👌🏻Despite the many visitors, the team has everything under control and is really very nice. We would love to come back. And this year too. Promise... 😉

The food is delicious and we barely finished the portions - the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The service staff at the counter are quick and friendly and the food we ordered was ready after 10 minutes. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely eat here again.

The food tasted really good. Unfortunately, we were not able to enjoy the generous portions mentioned in many reviews. We had the sour meat (large piece) and the fried fish (small), both with fried potatoes (also a bit too small a portion). The ratio between portion size and price wasn't quite right for us. The service gets a point deducted because there is no service at the table. But the people are very friendly. The location is great.

Wir haben erst sehr lange angestanden um die Bestellung aufzugeben und mussten dann lange warten bis das Essen fertig war. Außerdem war es uns etwas zu fettig. Das Personal war freundlich und die Getränke konnte man direkt mitnehmen.

While the fries were crispy and well seasoned, the fresh fried fish in the roll was disappointing due to the complete lack of salt. A small mistake, but it affected the taste experience. Unfortunately there are no salt shakers at the table. Nevertheless, Zander's Nordlicht remains a promising snack with potential - I posted a detailed review in my food blog KochKosmos.

I think the food has gone down a lot. We were there today and had a crab feast with (supposedly) fried potatoes, which unfortunately weren't. Jacket potatoes that may have seen the frying pan from afar. The scrambled eggs weren't really good either. Unfortunately, we are no longer convinced about zander. My wife is lying flat with a gastrointestinal infection after we ate there.

Wir sind eigentlich jedes Jahr dort zum Krabbenschmaus essen,nur dieses mal echt herbe Enttäuscht. Das waren keine Bratkartoffeln sondern aufgewärmte Pellkartoffeln mit Rührei und Krabben,null Geschmack. Sehr schade 😔 Der Nachfolger hat es leider nicht drauf.Dazz war es uns dann doch zu teuer

The truly world's best fish soup ❣️ That even Neptune would probably bow to 😉 I've been a fan of this delicacy for several years; and unbelievably, this soup was even tastier today, with a variety of ingredients. Freshly cooked. A pleasure! And the team is always exceptionally nice. The location is of course also great. But I would also eat this soup in the cellar 😂 The highlight of every visit to Schleswig and always with anticipation. Thank you, dear Northern Lights ❣️

Fish roll was okay. Fried herring with fried potatoes was still edible, you can get better elsewhere!
