Very strange owners, some lame Indian food, some okay, small portions, but quite expensive. Regular customers get larger portions here. If the bill is over 30 euros, I should still pay 1 euro extra for chili flakes. I can't understand the good reviews.

A small snack bar in the city center with two seats outside. Place your order at the sales window and pick it up there. I really liked the food and some Indian restaurants can copy their taste. Unfortunately I could only come here once because I had to go home the next day. Next time I visit Bamberg I will eat there again... Delicious 🤤

I am really very disappointed in the owner. I used to like him and in the last few years I went to him specifically to get drinks and not to the shop next door. Now, due to his bad mood, I've been hit on several times quite stupidly and I no longer see the point of supporting such a service. I'd rather go to the store with the vending machines, at least they can't be completely unfriendly and annoyed. Too bad

Great little snack bar with great Indian dishes. Owner friendly and nice. Large beer selection. Prices are ok. If you want a quick Indian meal in between, this is the right place for you.

Perfect Indian food and hot delicious bread

Never again. €8.50 for a few pieces of salty cauliflower and a pile of dry rice. At the end, Mr. Ravi made a fuss with me that he would not accept 5-cent coins because it was too small. This is the first time I've heard of such regulations in Germany. A very unpleasant farewell. I heard that he would call "Finanzamt" (!) and the word "sheise" many times.

Freshly cooked, authentic. There is also a very good selection of beers and non-alcoholic drinks. Very nice. Yummy.

Ravi is delightful and makes delicious food. A great spot to stop in the city just away from the center.

My husband and I stopped here for a quick lunch, and had the best lunch we’ve had on our trip! It was fresh, hot, and so, so tasty. There are two small tables (that can seat four a piece) inside, and a small table for two outside. And we were impressed at how fair the price was for how delicious the food was! Such a bargain!

The restaurant is small and nice and the food Ravi prepares is absolutely delicious. Been there to his place thrice and tried 3 different dishes each time. All three were too good and brings us the Indian flavour. Highly recommended for anyone who would love to try an Indian cuisine. Ravi is so kind and interacts with us very friendly. Wishing him the best!

Probably the worst Indian restaurant in the world, which is Indian in name only. We choose the New Delhi chicken menu priced at €8.50. When ordering we ask the cook if the dish is served with rice, he tells us in a haughty and unsympathetic tone that everything is written on the menu outside, but as it is written in German and that we we don't speak German, he could just have answered our question in a courteous manner. As soon as we ordered our dish, he told us once again in an unpleasant or even aggressive tone: "don't stay there, go further because people must be able to order", even though the street was deserted and we looked around us if we weren't disturbing anyone, we would obviously have moved if a customer showed up, but again the goal of the cook was to show his bellicose authority. I suspect he preferred that guests not see the kitchen too closely because it was indeed very dirty and one frying pan was even rusty. When taking the dish away I notice that it is very liquid, like a soup, whereas this dish is supposed to be a thick curry. When we started eating the dish, my suspicions were confirmed: the bits of curry were swimming in a pungent soup with a foul taste, a shame for true Indian cuisine which is incredibly rich in flavor. While eating the dish I also found a piece of metal in the chicken sauce, I had to throw everything in the trash and I also realized that the cook made us pay 10€ even though the dish was displayed at 8.50€.

Quickly served. The food was bland, the cauliflower was undercooked even though the curry was bloody hot felt like lava in my mouth.

They have the best Indian chicken nuggets in chickpea breading. I love these things 😍

Portions extremely small, although the taste was solid. Price-performance doesn't fit at all. Service staff (owner?) also rather unfriendly. I wouldn't visit again...

Wir waren heute zu Mittag hier. Das Hühner-Curry war sehr lecker. Ich werde zum nächsten Mal zwei Portionen eseen😉

If you are tourist and looking for Indian food , please dont go...he is only mixing masala in water and putting some boiled vegetables. Really a bad dining experience.Also his attitude is not that great to serve.

Meiner Meinung nach eines der besten Bistros in Bamberg. Die Speisen sind immer frisch und super gewürzt und der Koch ist sehr sympathisch. Es werden auch viele vegane Optionen angeboten. Immer wieder gerne!

Индийское бистро. Решили мы как то поесть индийской еды, для разнообразия. Взяли блюдо Delhi Chicken Curry за 8,90. Риса нормальная порция, примерно 6 кусочков маленьких курицы в соусе. Блюдо не сытное буквально через 2 часа я был снова голоден. Цена по моему мнению завышена.

Ein absolutes TOP! für dieses kleine Restaurant. Alles wird frisch zubereitet und der Inhaber geht sofort auf Sonderwünsche ein. Die Qualität der Speisen ist absolut in Ordnung und das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auch. Absolute Empfehlung!

A small neat place, be ready for a good treat of indian cuisine. A limited menu, but everyone will find something soothing his taste bud. Though the Chef may seem unfriendly at the beginning, he is a genuine gentleman from Delhi and is open for a small talk too! Just don't start judging yet ! I would recommend this small treasure-hunt for everyone! PS: His selection of beers is huge, unfortunately I couldn't drink since I had to drive, don't hesitate to sip the beer that should go well with the dish. Viel Spaß!

So lecker! 😍 (Bitte anklicken, dann öffnet sich die ganze Rezension 😉) Sitze gerade noch am Tisch und tippe meine Bewertung, da ich begeistert bin von Ravis Essen. Habe mich gerade etwas mit ihm unterhalten. Ravi macht alles selbst und ich finde auch, dass man das schmeckt! Ich hatte die Nr.7 (Shahi Bengan) und bin nun ziemlich 'geflasht' 😊. Seit Kurzem hat er sein kleines Bistro auch optisch auf den neusten Stand gebracht, woraufhin er mir nun aufgefallen ist. (Habe ein Bild angehängt.) Ich bin jetzt zum zweiten Mal hier. Beim ersten Besuch hatte ich mit meinem Freund die Samosa im vorbei gehen mitgenommen. Die waren klasse und wir haben auch gemerkt, dass sie SELBST gemacht sind (nicht wie so oft aus der Tiefkühltruhe.) Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder und werde Ravi auch weiterempfehlen! Fantastisches Essen, tolle vegane Optionen, ganz frisch gekocht, perfekt abgeschmeckt! Ravi ist ein großartiger Mensch und Koch. Schade, dass ich nicht hier wohne, hier würde ich jede Woche mehrmals essen.

What a surprising gem! Ravi, the owner and the chef makes absolutely everything from scratch himself. Coming from Delhi, his Indian food is spot on. Delicious, freshly made and fairly priced. Great place for a budget meal if you’re vegan or vegetarian too. Food is made with love and pride with the best possible ingredients and the regular menu is topped with daily specials. By request Ravi even makes South Indian treats like dosa and idli! When my husband and I were having our yummy palak paneer with piping hot naan, he explained he’d just made puttu for a daily special. A Keralan dish we’d never seen outside India!

Challenged chef Ravi for spicy chicken Tikka masala. He let me taste three times before serving. I was able to handle the tester but not the actual dish. I failed to finish everything on my plate. But the food was nevertheless fantastic. Highly recommended!

Exzellentes Essen, sehr würzig. Chicken Curry auf Wunsch angeschärft, angenehmes Feuer! Gemüse Pakoras wahnsinnig lecker und das Knoblach-Ingwer Naan verströmte einen herrlichen Geruch! Obwohl ich um 19:50 Uhr noch kurz vor Ladenschluss telefonisch bestellt habe und mich verfahren habe, blieb Ravi sehr freundlich und hat sogar auf der Straße nach mir gesucht. :-) Kleiner, aber sehr feiner Inder, meine Empfehlung für ein bisschen Indien to go, braucht sich nicht zu verstecken!

I visited this place with my Mother and Sister who were craving for Indian food. Ravi served us fresh and authentic Indian food that took us back to India for a while. We got complimentary Tea at the end :)

Sehr leckere indische Küche. Es gibt nur eine kleine Karte aber trotzdem ist für alle etwas dabei, auch vegane Gerichte.

Erg lekker. Verzorgde bediening. Eigenlijk een soort take away. Je kan er toch gezellig zitten voor een korte lunch. Sympathieke eigenaar.

Tasty curry and very good naan bread. Portions are small and not much meat in the chicken Korma. Friendly service.

Kinda expensive for the amount of food, but I gotta say it was very delicious

Es hat gut geschmeckt. Im Restaurant selbst ist es im Inneren zu heiß. Es sollte mehr Plätze draußen geben. Im Inneren fehlen 2 weitere Ventilatoren. Die Portionen sind klein, dh. es ist nicht wirklich billig, wenn man die Portionsgröße mit in Betracht zieht. Es wäre gut, wenn es auch größere Portionen gäbe. Ohne zusätzliches Naan wurde mein Mann von einer Portion nicht satt und ich gerade soeben. Der Koch/Chef/Ravi wirkte gestresst. Das ist auch kein Wunder bei der Temperatur in der Küche. Ich wollte ihm sagen "Atme mal durch, trinke was Kühles".

Super lecker, super freundlicher Service. Immer wenn ich zu Besuch bin gerne wieder! Indisch authentisch.

Food very good. Should have asked for extra spice but taste was nice. Very small place with 3 tables outside. More like take-away Food is cooked and served by Ravi Nice change from German food.

Habe einen kurzen Snack gesucht und die besten Samosas außerhalb Indiens gefunden. Der Koch ist überaus reundlich und die Küche extrem sauber und gefplegt. Ich komme wieder!

Mich haben die vielen positiven Bewertungen dann doch etwas verwundert, aber als wir dort Essen waren, wurden wir unfreundlich bedient, die Portionen waren für den Preis recht klein und vom Geschmack eher okay. Zugegeben, es war kurz vor den Schließzeiten, aber das ist für die oben genannten Dinge dennoch kein Anlass.

Hier muss ich mich echt überwinden nicht aus Angst vor zu vielen Gästen keine Bewertung dazulassen. Aber das Bistro Ravi ist genial. Die vegetarische Pizza mit sehr vielen frischen Gemüsesorten macht sogar einen der am meisten fleischessensten Menschen der Welt wie mich kurz vegetarisch. Von langweiligem Grünzeug kann man da nicht reden!
