Not recommended. We walked along the promenade on Saturday to choose a restaurant, since most of them are pretty full on Saturday evenings, we decided on BigChefs because it made a good impression from the outside and from the menu. It started with the fact that, in my opinion, the waiter had absolutely no idea how to properly serve customers and greet them in a friendly manner. Small changes to the burger order were a huge challenge. Did it happen that they didn't have 3 ingredients/dishes on a Saturday evening?! . When the food came I realized that the burger was a complete disaster, tomatoes and lettuce were missing, a mountain of “glazed” onions floating on the meat in a cheese sauce. The cheap meat product from the discounter. Order complained about, 10 minutes later burger returned = completely carelessly placed a leaf of lettuce and a slice of tomato under the meat. Of course the fries were already cold when the burger came back. Price was a proud €16 just for the burger, which was of such cheap quality and was absolutely not enjoyable. The plate with 6 small falafel and herb sauce also cost a whopping €10. The prices are an absolute joke for the portions and quality. The pide was at least ok.

It was the best restaurant in CentrO, which I learned was going to close and I was saddened. I will miss the caring, friendly staff, good food, and warm atmosphere very much.

The breakfast on the second attempt was even worse than the first time. Sucuk cold, when we asked to warm it up it arrived cold again. The service is so bad it's unbelievable. If you point something out, no one cares. The price is way too expensive for what you get, if it would taste ok but no. Bottom line: tried twice never again.

The four of us ate there yesterday...it was so incredibly cold in the shop...many guests, including me, sat in the shop in their down coats...our children weren't shown a "children's menu"... what there might be....so we all ate adult portions which had a huge impact on the price...don't know how....left a lot of money afterwards which really annoyed me afterward.... I've eaten much better...but cold goat cheese I've never had a salad before...it's usually always served warm...it's a shame...that was the first and last time for us...the main thing I don't want to do is freeze when I go out to eat

It's a place I go to all the time in Antalya. I was very happy that it opened in Oberhausen, but after coming twice I was disappointed. No one answers the phone, service is very bad. An irregular order is very obvious to the customers. I hope it doesn't continue like this.

Food was good and place looked nice

Since Big Chefs was the only restaurant where there wasn't a line waiting out the door today, we stopped in here. Unfortunately, now we know why: Glass tables are very greasy, temperature quite drafty and cold, drinks were delicious, unfortunately peppermint tea was out. The service was also nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the buns and the burger patties were grilled very dry and with relatively little sauce. The zinc tray with a fairly high edge made it difficult to eat the burgers with a knife and fork, but what do we use for burgers at a Turkish restaurant. We will try their specialties next time, they can probably do them better... We didn't visit the washrooms, only the heated beer garden, where smoking was allowed, was probably even cooler than the non-smoking restaurant, let's see what it's like in spring.. ..

Only open until 8 p.m.? This is some joke.? In civilization, shopping malls are open until 10 p.m. or later

The fries were undercooked, there was more sauce than chicken, the burger tasted like a Big Mac from McDonald. never again!

Unfortunately the food was cold, we had 5 different dishes, four were cold, unfortunately only one of the five tasted good, there was hardly any flavor to it, the burger was a really bad finished product, fries were cold,... It's a shame about the money.

The food is really very bad. Salad just rokka a spoonful of ready-made yoghurt, this strange green bulgur and dry chicken meat! Very disappointing. The toilets are not clean! The portions are small and bland.

Food and drinks ok - be careful, ALWAYS ask for a receipt, the amounts seem to be rounded up. When asked, they gave strange excuses and I didn't receive a receipt either.

BigChefs offers a truly satisfying Turkish breakfast experience. The portions are generous, ensuring you'll leave feeling full and content. The prices are quite reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food and service. The staff is attentive and proactive, regularly refilling tea without prompting, which is a nice touch. However, the outdoor seating area, where smoking is permitted, can sometimes lead to cigarette smoke drifting into the indoor dining area. This was a bit unpleasant, especially for non-smokers. Despite this minor drawback, it is a great place to enjoy a delicious Turkish breakfast.

The Turkish tea was delicious. Yusuf hosted us well.

Unfortunately our visit was a huge disappointment. We weren't greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant. The tables were dirty and we had to tell the waiter three times to clean the table. The food arrived cold - we had ordered pasta and sweet potato fries, but we didn't like either at all. The service was also poor. When we wanted to pay we had to queue at the cash register ourselves as no one came to the table to bring the bill. Overall it was a very disappointing experience. The service was unfriendly and inattentive, the food was disappointing in taste and temperature. We definitely won't be coming back. We are very sorry.

The ambience is good but the service is not well organized. A waitress was super nice, but the order didn't come in the right order, orders were sometimes forgotten, one waiter didn't know what the other waiter was doing.

After we chose something from the menu, both were no longer available. So keep looking. Then we ordered and even though it wasn't full, it took forever for the food to arrive. This was so-so in terms of taste. The toilet wasn't exactly clean either. So summary - not again.

Not recommended I was really disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. The chicken had a strange texture which completely ruined the appetite. The staff was also unfriendly and seemed annoyed instead of being helpful. Just because the restaurant has an international name doesn't mean the quality or service is good. Absolutely disappointing - I'm definitely not coming back!

We were there this evening. My meal was very tasty, but my husband ordered an entrecote for €32 and it was very small, about 120 grams. That's not too small for that much money.

Unfortunately a disappointing experience. The food was tasteless and carelessly prepared. The service was inattentive and rude and we had to wait forever for our order. The price-performance ratio is not right at all. I definitely wouldn't go again.

When we came in we weren't greeted, but were greeted directly with the words "No, please get out again and wait (in the rain) we won't be taking any more orders now" ☺️ First and last visit.

The food only gets two stars because the fries were okay, otherwise it would definitely only be one star!! We tried two types of burgers and the meat was simply a frozen patty. Absolutely no freshness and the brioche bread wasn't any but just normal bread. Then we ordered a chicken plate dish which was simply served completely cold. An absolute no go! What I have to say about the ambience is: OK, but it was just cold! If you don't sit in the "smoking area" but in the restaurant then you can sit outside even in winter. After asking several times whether it could be made warmer (we had a small child with us), we were only told that it was unfortunately the case and that we couldn't make it warmer. Some guests sat inside with their jackets on! The staff was very nice and tried hard. However, we will not come back and cannot recommend it!

We have rarely eaten so badly. Starters were cold... and the chicken for the main course had an indescribable consistency. The lemonades from the menu weren't even available. The service staff was very nice, but nothing was done because of the bad feedback and the plates that were still full. The ambience is nice, but the rooms are simply too cold for these temperatures. Many guests had to keep their jackets on while eating.

The first time i came here everything was amazing. This time everything was the opposite. The food was cold, the staff was not friendly at all. I am really dissapointed.

The selection of desserts could be larger, but overall we were satisfied. Today I just had a drink, but in the past I've also been there to eat, which was delicious. Yusuf served us quickly and was very friendly.

The good Yusuf brought me Baba Manti, a very correct man and Manti was also very good.

The atmosphere is lovely and the service is attentive and friendly. It took a relatively long time for the starter to arrive and it was almost cold. Also quite expensive for the portion size. The main courses were okay but nothing special.

Unfortunately, our visit to the restaurant was a bit mixed. We were particularly struck negatively by a young lady in service who served our food. Unfortunately she seemed very unfriendly and greeted us without a smile. Of course, I completely understand that the catering job can be stressful - and that applies to every job (in this world) - ...especially when there are many guests and each guest has different expectations. Nevertheless, I would have liked a little more friendliness. A simple “please” or “thank you” would have been enough, especially since I smiled warmly and thanked you every time. Even my little nephews, who, like children, are somewhat lively jokers, reacted politely. I understand that children can often be challenging, but a smile would have gone a long way to lighten the atmosphere rather than muttering unkindly. Her behavior was a bit reminiscent of the grumpy Tadeus from the Spongebob series. On the other hand, we would also like to highlight positive things: The bartender was very friendly and attentive, which really made us happy. The restaurant itself is also very attractive - it is nicely decorated, spacious and the location is also good. As far as the price-performance ratio is concerned, we were satisfied. However, I'm not sure if we will visit the restaurant again.

Well thought out - poorly implemented. Service wasn't particularly attentive, the food was cold rather than hot, everything took an awfully long time even though the shop was almost empty. There is a lack of pulse and attention to service here. It's a shame, the place actually looked promising.

Never been treated so badly in a restaurant. We had reserved. We stood at the entrance for 40 minutes and were left standing with the words “someone is coming immediately”. A family of 6 was pushing in front of us and wanted to be assigned a table when I said that we had a reservation. Then it was “oh, sorry” and after another 15 minutes we finally got to our place. After waiting for over an hour we wanted to order food. Here this happens online via a site. Practical like Lieferando. Same when the food is out?! Approximately half of all dishes were “sold out”. In the end I could only eat pasta with cream sauce because nothing else was an option. I don't need all this back and forth for pasta with cream sauce, I'm sorry.

All in all a really nice experience. The food was really well prepared and really tasty. The service was super attentive and friendly. We felt very comfortable, especially thanks to the service person Elif. Thanks for that. :)

Since one of the family members is not allowed to eat gluten, we wanted to check with the chef whether the chicken curry was really free of gluten, as it is labeled with allergens on the menu board in front of the restaurant. The chef didn't answer our question and referred us to the service staff; he probably didn't understand our language. I explained to the service staff the situation that a family member was not allowed to eat gluten due to an allergy and we therefore sought to communicate directly with the kitchen. The service staff looked at the menu and confirmed that the chicken curry was gluten-free. We ordered this dish 3 times. Unfortunately, the affected family member became sick after eating and vomited many times, causing stomach acid. We won't come back.

Unfortunately it took quite a while for the food and drinks to arrive, especially because it was not busy. Half of the orders were mixed up, which later led to a food allergy. We couldn't see everything well because it was quite dark. My burger was tasty, but the further I went, the more soggy the meat was. In the end, my napkin was in between, but I couldn't see well in the dark in the dark metal container that everything was in. Finally, it also turned out that my friends were on the move. It looked nice but too much went wrong. Shame!

Normally I rarely if ever give a review. However, the Big Bosses and the employees deserve to be praised in the highest tones. I've eaten there with my family several times. Each time we were very impressed by the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. The price-performance ratio is absolutely justified for what you get there. The selection is huge and everything is delicious and lovingly prepared. We are really looking forward to the next visit. Thanks to the Big Chefs team.

We became aware of BigChefs in Oberhausen through a message on Facebook. Since we often meet in the Centro, we have always visited System Gastronomy in the past, but we wanted to try something new and what can we say?! Success across the board! We really liked the decor, great atmosphere and incredibly attentive and friendly service. Large map and, for those who don't know Levatin cuisine, everything is illustrated. The coffee was great (very important for us!!!) The tea that was served rounded things off! We didn't want to eat breakfast anymore and opted for MezzeMezze and a pide! And here too, great quality, incredible taste and a more than convincing quantity. The price/performance ratio is crazy for what is on offer...... We will come back, even after a journey of around 50km, and try out the map over time. We hope that this company is given the attention it deserves! Today, October 20th, 2024, we returned to Big Chefs again after a long time. For us, as if we were always here. Elif leads her crew very professionally, the food was great as always and our personal “brunch” requirements were fully met. Service, food and drinks are always at the same high level. See you next time!

We just wanted to eat somewhere quick that wasn't french fries. The service was very attentive and friendly. The map offers a wide range of options. The food came super quickly, despite being announced at least 20 minutes. The only small comment we found was that the food could use a little more “oomph”. In general we were satisfied and would come back!!

The store has no chance of surviving 100% next year! Never again… save yourself that….

We went to Big Chef in Oberhausen for breakfast and had a wonderful time. We were particularly impressed by the service from the waiter Yusuf - he was very friendly, attentive and made our visit perfect. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, the atmosphere relaxed. We'd love to come back!

We come here very often and find the ambience great and especially the outdoor terrace very pleasant with the delicious food. But we have to give special praise to the waiter Yusuf and the waitress Michel, who are always very friendly and always give us a very warm welcome and provide great service, so that we always feel very well looked after. In any case, the location with the selection of food, the ambience and the great, hard-working waiters is a recommendation from us.

A superficial waitress who served outside, she was totally unfriendly and spoke to me very rudely, even though I only asked her how much the drinks were. With her behavior and street slang towards the customers she is just out of place. Luckily there are alternatives, I will never visit you again.

Very nice reception, the waiter took drinks and everything was good, including the food. But the waiter couldn't be found and I called a waitress standing around and asked if she could take our food. I then greeted her because she didn't. If a waitress with a migrant background cannot greet me, I see this as rejection of myself and will leave the shop in the future. Well, we didn't do it, then she asked us if we wanted something to drink, even though we had only just received our drinks. I don't want to say anything more about it. Food was good. Male waiters were also very nice and polite. Menu very nice with pictures, the food looked exactly the same, great.

As a starter there was baked feta, which was served with the main course. For almost 14 euros, I found the portion to be very small and the consistency of the feta was more like halloumi and also very neutral in taste, which is something I don't really know about this one. The cheese wasn't very warm either. The accompanying rolls were very tasty. The main course, a burger with spinach and eggplant patty, was half lukewarm and the other half was already cold. The bun is very dry and firm. This would definitely have tasted good warm. (The colleague's classic patty was well-done and looked more like frozen goods, which is probably why they didn't ask about the cooking level.) The fries were tasty, but not really very warm either. Portion size was okay. In general it seemed as if everything had stood for 5 minutes before it was brought to the table. What was definitely positive was the friendly staff, clean toilets and the fact that you get a free beer if you order a 0.5l. For me the visit was too poor value for money and will probably not be repeated.

The breakfast was good and there was nothing wrong with the quality. Both the drinks and the food were good. But your prices are steep! 11€ for a piece of cheesecake with a bit of lotus and ice cream? €5.90 for a latte? Today we paid €78 for breakfast, 2 smoothies & coffee. When the bill came I almost fell off the bench.. sorry but that should definitely be revised again. It was definitely not worth almost €80

The food at Big Chefs was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is cozy and the selection of dishes leaves nothing to be desired. Everything we tried was fresh and deliciously prepared. However, there was one situation that bothered us a bit. We noticed that an employee from Turkey, who obviously did not yet speak perfect German, was inappropriately reprimanded by a colleague in front of the guests. Comments like "Senin Almancana ediyim ben. Almanca öğren bi zahmet" are not only disrespectful, but should never be uttered in front of customers. Everyone deserves to work in a respectful work environment and such matters should be resolved internally and in a constructive manner. Despite this incident, we really enjoyed our visit and would like to come back. However, we hope that management will handle such situations better in the future to ensure a positive working atmosphere for all employees.

The food is absolute convenience. Burger with a sticky, chewy bun, only sauce and patty, no salad or vegetables. Pattie pressed from some smoked meat. The knife was so blunt that you probably couldn't even cut butter with it. Absolutely no recommendation. Better go further up the promenade!

Everything is good but the only thing missing is the inexperience of the waiters.. If you ask for an account, it won't come.. You want to eat, there is no fork or spoon You want tea, sweet tea will come when it gets cold.. A little warning is required..

Big Chefs offers good food in an appealing atmosphere, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The service was friendly, but often inattentive and slow. There was a lack of personal support, which somewhat marred the overall experience. With better service there would definitely be more – so it stays at 3 stars.

The restaurant is about 1 year old and made a good impression. Nice interior and nice outdoor area. The staff was friendly and the waiting time was ok too. I ordered a BBQ burger for €18 including fries. I didn't take the photo because the burger wasn't worth it! The patty was definitely industrial! And it tasted the same, or didn't taste good at all. A little sauce and nothing else! No lettuce, let alone tomatoes, cucumber and whatever else goes on a burger. For that money I could also go to one of the usual burger joints, which wouldn't be my thing either. Really disappointing and definitely the first and last visit. It's a shame about the money and the time. My wife's punch wasn't convincing either. No recommendation!
