Bierstübel in Löbau

After a hike, we stopped at the Turngaststätte Löbau for coffee and cake. The coffee was served in dirty cups, and the staff also seemed unkempt. After complaining, we were given a "new coffee." Again, it was in dirty cups. Further complaints weren't properly addressed; instead, other guests were served our old coffee. The tables and dishes were dirty, and the staff were completely overwhelmed with more than three orders. No one will be seeing us in this restaurant again.

We're practically regulars. We couldn't ask for higher praise. The personal connection is important to us, too.

I wanted to grab something tasty for dinner and ended up here. The food was delicious, but I found the prices a bit too high. I spent €20 on a burger, sweet potato fries, and a soft drink, even though those weren't the most expensive items. Maybe that's the owner's policy, but for that money, you can get a decent meal at a restaurant and still be full. So, in conclusion: Delicious, but expensive.

The food is excellent, the service is pleasant. The ambiance just needs some improvement. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

I've become completely dissatisfied over the past few years. Food quality (for example, the meatballs sometimes have a moldy taste when thrown into the pan from frozen). Service: The chef stands behind the dining area and chops vegetables on a freezer, while smoking a cigarette that makes you wonder if you're in the wrong movie :D or if ash is the new kind of pepper. 🙈😅 In any case, I won't eat there again. The 35-minute wait for my food was exactly what made me want to steer clear of this place in the future. 💪🏻
