Turmgaststätte in Löbau

Hallo, ich war heute mal wieder am Löbauer Berg. Hatte schönes Wetter. Oben angekommen gönnte ich mir eine Apfelschorle und Gulasch mit Knödel. Die Lage der Gaststätte ist super direkt am Eisernen Turm. Ein Familienbetrieb nach meiner Meinung so wie ich das gesehen habe. Wenn man zum Löbauer Berg hoch geht oben mal was essen und nachher den Berg umwandern, denn es gibt viel zu sehen am Löbauer Berg, vorher mit guten Essen sich stärker fühlt man sich besser. 20.50 euro völlig in Ordnung der Preis. Heute war viel los in der Gaststätte, hat bisschen gedauert bis service kahm.

Sehr gemütliche Gaststätte. Essen war sehr lecker gewesen.

Der Service war sehr unauffällig, auf der Terrasse herrschte praktisch keine Stimmung! Die Suppe war warm, obwohl sie aus der DDR-Zeit stammen könnte?!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Freundliche Einkehr mit viel Herz Nach einem kleinen Aufstieg haben wir heute die Turmgaststätte auf dem Löbauer Berg besucht und dort etwas getrunken sowie eine Kleinigkeit gegessen. Insgesamt haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Besonders positiv ist uns die Freundlichkeit des Personals in Erinnerung geblieben. Man merkt, dass das Team sein Bestes gibt, obwohl personell nicht alles optimal besetzt ist. So musste der Service teilweise auch Aufgaben in der Küche übernehmen. Dadurch kam es bei unserem Besuch zu kleineren Verwechslungen bei Getränken und Speisen. Was uns dabei jedoch gefallen hat: Die Fehler wurden offen, freundlich und sympathisch erklärt. Niemand war unhöflich oder gestresst, vielmehr hatte man das Gefühl, dass sich alle wirklich bemühen, den Gästen einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. Und letztlich sind wir alle nur Menschen. Deshalb überwiegt für uns der positive Eindruck deutlich. Die schöne Lage, die angenehme Atmosphäre und das herzliche Personal haben dafür gesorgt, dass wir gerne dort eingekehrt sind. Ein Stern Abzug für die kleinen organisatorischen Schwierigkeiten, ansonsten ein schöner Besuch, den wir gerne in Erinnerung behalten.

Bedienung ist sehr muffelig hat einen völlig ignoriert

Leider sehr unfreundliche Personal. Wir haben und anderweitig essen gesucht.

Wir wollten zum Essen kommen, Bedienung allerdings sehr unfreundlich und auch auf Nachfrage zu den Gerichten die nur am Eingang standen und nicht auf der Speisekarte wurden wir wieder angeschnauzt. Aufgrund der unfreundlichen Bedienung und der sehr kleinen speziellen Auswahl sind wir dann ohne etwas zu essen wieder gegangen.

Unfreundliches Personal, eine Frau und Mann waren total Freundlich. Aber eine Schupst einfach die Gäste zur Seite und hat einen Ton drauf, unfassbar.

Die einstige Pracht ist längst vergangen und müsste dringend erneuert werden, denn die Umgebung mit dem Turm ist sehr schön. Die Stühle sind zerrissen, der Schaumstoff quillt heraus, alles wirkt wie aus dem letzten Jahrhundert. Der Speisesaal ist ungemütlich und kalt. Der Kellner war nicht besonders freundlich und trug Alltagskleidung. Das Essen war mittelmäßig; man konnte hören, dass einiges in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt wurde, und die Präsentation war sehr einfach. In Anbetracht all dessen erschienen die Preise zu hoch, und die gesamte Atmosphäre weckt leider nicht den Wunsch, hierher zurückzukehren. Der Ort hätte großes Potenzial, wenn sich der Besitzer mehr um das Interieur, den Service und die Speisekarte kümmern würde.

Das meiste holt wirklich die Landschaft raus, der Rest ist... naja. Als wir ankamen, um fair zu bleiben, wir kamen recht spät an und waren die einzigen Gäste, war der "Wirt" selbst schon sehr angeheitert, sah loddrig aus , war trotzdem aber noch sehr freundlich. Das Essen, welches uns serviert wurde, war nur aufgewärmt, aber geschmacklich okay. Die Zimmer die wir gebucht hatten waren im Berghäusl, welches zur Gaststätte dazugehört, Ausschilderung war nicht vorhanden und der gute Mann fuchtelte nur in eine grobe Richtung, es war abends, es war schon dunkel und es war für uns Recht abenteuerlich. Es ging dann einen stockfinsteren Wanderweg hinunter (nachdem wir ein paar Jugendliche fragten), dem die Unterkunft folgte. Diese ist für eine Nacht okay, länger sollte man aber besser nicht bleiben. Staub, Krabbeltiere und am besten Brille absetzen, damit man nicht noch mehr Mängel findet. Unsere Zimmer kamen mit einem gemeinschaftlichen Balkon mit super Ausblick auf Löbau und jedes Zimmer hat ein eigenes Bad gehabt. W-Lan ist vorhanden.

Wor können die negertiven Bewertungen eigentlich nicht nachvollziehen.Es ist eine Bergbaude,somit entsprechend eingerichtet.Die Preise sind im Vergleich aller anderen angepasst.Die Bedienungen waren freundlich auch mit etwas Humor dabei,wer das nicht verträgt ,naja🤷‍♀️Wenn man aufs Essen warten muß,ist das halt so,fast mus man woanders auch ev.geschmeckt hat es,also🤷‍♀️,ich denke das es eher notorische Nörgler hier sind und welche die auf disen Zug aufspringen......

Ich muss die vorab schlechten Rezensionen leider bestätigen. Der Kellner ungepflegt mit Schlappen unterwegs, gleich einen geduzt und war zudem gut angetrunken. Die Cola, Spezi und Ginger Ale waren völlig ohne Kohlensäure. Das Essen war an sich ok, wenn man mal von den Haaren drin absieht und übrigens auch beim Dessert wurde da nicht drauf verzichtet. Auf der Toilette war leider auch kein Toilettenpapier zu finden. Es war ein Geschäftsessen und war somit für mich einfach nur peinlich!

Als wir 11.30 Uhr in der Gaststätte angekommen sind, brannte kein Licht und es war kalt. Incder Karte stand:"Wir kochen frisch!" Leider gab es nur Essen aus der Dose, welches in der Mikrowelle warm gemacht wurde. Ist nicht zu empfehlen!!!

Die Turmgaststätte verfügt über einen besonderen und schönen Standort, neben dem Gusseisernen Turm. Sie präsentierte sich derzeit im weihnachtlichen Ambiente. Wir waren als Gruppe von ca. 20 Personen dort zum Mittagstisch. Die Speisekarte mit den Angeboten wirkte eher übersichtlich. Die Bedienung war freundlich, aber etwas unprofessionell bei der Zuordnung der Getränke und Speisen. Das Essen kam prompt, was darauf schließen ließ, dass es keine frische Zubereitung gab. Vieles stammte aus der Fertigprodukt-Abteilung. Die Zunge wurde als Essen jedoch gelobt. Ein Gericht hingegen fiel komplett durch. Mein Heißgetränk kam einige Zeit später als die Kaltgetränke, ebenso mein Dessert, welches frisch zubereitet werden musste. Das Heißgetränk war nicht richtig heiß, auch das Dessert erfüllte meinen Anspruch leider nicht. Wer hier ein qualitativ hochwertiges Essen erwartet, ist hier eher falsch. Preislich bewegte sich ein Menü für uns bei durchschnittlich ca. 25 Euro. Die Toiletten waren sauber und soweit in Ordnung. Wiederkommen würde ich dennoch nicht.

Waren vor geraumer Zeit zu Gast (13 Personen). Vorab muss ich sagen, es ist keinen weiteren Besuch wert. Ambiente mag vielleicht noch gehen, wenn man es rustikal mag. Service war freundlich aber (Dress/ Auftreten) unsicher. Problematik: (Nachbartisch: ca. 6 Personen) einer von uns bestellte das Tagesgericht (Roulade), kam bei dem einen von uns nach ca 7min nach Bestellung an (Nachbartisch der später kam hat es ebenfalls, mit unserer einen Bestellung erhalten)...ein Schnitzel mit Kartoffeln und Gemüse kam ca eine halbe Stunde später, als das erste Essen mit Roulade serviert wurde, an. Man merkte die unkoordiniertheit des Personals, sowie das nicht vorhandene Zischen einer Pfanne, wenn man ein frisches Stück Fleisch hineinlegt... Schade, das Ding hätte Potential

Hallo. Also wir können die ganzen negativen Bewertungen absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Wir waren das Wochenende zu einem Konzert in der Messehalle löbau und haben deswegen dort übernachtet. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war zum übernachten völlig ausreichend. Wir durften sogar später als festgelegt auschecken. Das Frühstück war lecker und reichhaltig . Außerdem haben wir 2 x warm gegessen . Es war sehr lecker und wir haben eine angemessene Zeit darauf gewartet. Dass das Inventar in die Jahre gekommen ist , können wir so nicht bestätigen. Es ist halt urig, passend zum Stil. Also wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren gestern (So., 09.11.25) in der Gaststätte. - Nie wieder! Der "Kellner" bediente uns in total dreckigen Klamotten. Das T- Shirt erlaubte einen Blick auf offene Stellen in der Haut am Arm. Als meine Frau das falsch gelieferte Essen an, nicht in, der Küche reklamieren wollte, wurde sie auf die Hygienevorschriften hingewiesen. Das Essen war qualitativ eine glatte "Fünf". Gebackener Camembert mit riesigem Berg Sprühsahne, "unfrischer"Salat schwamm in irgendeiner Flüssigkeit.

Trotz Telefonischer Reservierung und Öffnungszeiten (geöffnet), war die Gaststätte geschlossen. Ärgerlich

Wir lieben die Turmgastätte und das dazugehörige Berghäusel sehr. Ines, Dietmar und Rene, sowie alle Mitarbeiter sind toll, herzlich und liebenswert ❤️. Sie leisten großartige Arbeit!

Waren am Montag nach vorheriger Info über die Öffnungszeiten im Internet und auf der Webseite dahin unterwegs! Geöffnet 10,30 bis 17,00!!! Was wir vorgefunden haben war eine geschlossene Gaststätte, ohne Hinweis am langen Aufstieg! Waren sehr enttäuscht! Warum schreibt man nicht die aktuellen Öffnungszeiten an den Weg?? Andere Familien mit Kindern waren auch da! Telefonisch war keiner erreichbar, obwohl in der Gaststätte das Licht brannte?! Kein schöner Service!

Wir waren nach einer Wanderung in der Turngaststätte Löbau, um Kaffee zu trinken und Kuchen zu essen. Der Kaffee wurde in schmutzigen Tassen serviert, und das Personal wirkte ebenfalls ungepflegt. Nach Reklamation bekamen wir einen "neuen Kaffee". Wieder in schmutzigen Tassen. Auf weitere Reklamationen wurde nicht ordentlich reagiert, stattdessen bekamen andere Gäste an unserem alten Kaffee serviert. Tische und Geschirr waren schmutzig, und das Personal war bei mehr als drei Bestellungen komplett überfordert. In dieser Gaststätte wird uns keiner mehr sehen.

During my short break at the tower, the small but fine restaurant was a natural choice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The chocolate ice cream was delicious.

It was a trip within Upper Lusatia. We had a wonderful hike, had excellent food, and enjoyed a fantastic view! We also had lovely and funny conversations with other tourists! Full marks!!!!!

I wonder how this restaurant survives. All the guests around me were making fun of the service. I'd like to give the service a negative star. I had to chase the "landlord" to order my beer. After 20 minutes, it still wasn't there. But the other guests praised the food.

Highly recommended! I'll have to eat something next time, because I just need a little something to drink after climbing the Cast Iron Tower....

We stopped here for a meal while touring the lookout tower. The service was nice and the food was delicious!! We recommend it 🤍

The walk to the tower promised enjoyment – but reality was a lesson in "your own master"! The terrace was still a bit wet from the weather, and instead of the waiter rolling up his sleeves when we asked if we could sit outside in the beautiful weather, he kindly handed us a rag. Service that invites participation! By the way, there were three of us, the only guests, and we were then allowed to sit down at our table – yes, we personally wiped it down with great care and dedication. The table remained completely empty until the end, absolutely completely empty, except for our glasses, which didn't even get the luxury of a coaster. Another highlight: The cutlery, wrapped in a napkin, wasn't "placed" next to us, but rather found its target in the middle of the table, truly carelessly flung – service that truly demonstrates style! The food tasted solid, although some of the goulash had a refreshingly cold surprise. When paying, we asked for separate bills, which elicited a small sigh from the waiter – who must have been carrying the weight of the world. So if you're in the mood for exclusive DIY dining, where you clean the table and bench yourself, get your drinks served without coasters, watch the cutlery fly onto the already empty table, and see the waiter's face turn from bright red to a smoldering dark red as he picks up the bill – then this is the place for you! For everyone else: Save yourself the trip and enjoy the view from a safe distance!

Never again! The waiter seemed drunk, was inappropriately dressed, and the cleanliness/orderliness as well as the price/performance ratio were definitely unacceptable.

We were at the Löbauer Berg tower restaurant today. Service was very fast; we waited less than 15 minutes for the roulades, and they tasted delicious. Highly recommended. Praise goes to the kitchen and service. The cast iron tower is a must-see; the view is excellent.

This restaurant probably only survives because the truly beautiful Löbau Tower is right next door. Unfortunately, service isn't a priority here. We sat on the terrace and were ignored for 15 minutes. When the waiter brought the menus, he didn't show up for another 15 minutes. When we went inside to order drinks, we were further disappointed: the milk pump in the coffee machine was broken. So, no cappuccino for us. Instead, we were supposed to have a cherry juice spritzer. It turned out to be pure cherry juice. Almost right, after all. When the waitress realized we didn't want to order food, she simply replied dismissively, "If you don't want it, you already have it." That was the point where we started reading the other reviews here. We were very glad we hadn't ordered food, as it would have apparently taken an hour or two. It's also worth noting that everything on the terrace is a bit sloppy. The tables and benches haven't been wiped down. The flowers in the balcony box are completely dried out. A real shame.

We were there for dinner on Saturday. The service was very friendly, and our requests were promptly met. We highly recommend it. Thanks to the kitchen. It was quick and delicious. We'd be happy to come back.

Unfortunately, it was obvious that the waiter hated his job. He struck me as blunt and unfriendly. It's a shame, because I really liked the rustic atmosphere of the restaurant and the location. I'll definitely use the Honigbrunnen again next time ;-). The place can certainly do well if the service is good. But maybe it will again ;-).

A very nice place with a fantastic view from the Löbau Tower. Unfortunately, we can't rate the quality of the restaurant, as we were given a menu but were then ignored for 30 minutes. Since other guests had already ordered before us, but the drinks weren't brought for another 30 minutes, we decided to leave. What a shame.

Unfortunately, a disappointing coffee break visit We were looking forward to a relaxing coffee break, but were disappointed. The overall ambiance seemed rather unkempt – the interior of the restaurant looked a bit dingy, and the benches and tables outside hadn't been wiped down after the morning's rain. The service also left a lot to be desired: In the end, it wasn't even possible to get a receipt. There's definitely room for improvement here – especially if you want to retain guests long-term.

The location is perfect, but I can't comment on the room. The service leaves a lot to be desired. The staff are listless, chatting at the bar, but guests outside are completely neglected. One meal was forgotten. The order was tiny... A real shame for such a beautiful location...

Yesterday, six of us had lunch at the Turmbaude and we won't be going back. The owner was in a bad mood, wearing a dirty T-shirt. We waited an hour for mediocre food at, in our opinion, unreasonable prices. The atmosphere was absolutely terrible, with wilted flowers on the table. Menus were simply left on the table, and empty glasses weren't taken away when ordering. Our impression was that the restaurant was stuck in the 1980s.

After many years, we made a stop at Löbauer Berg. We were impressed by how well everything is maintained here. The visit to the tower restaurant was also worthwhile. Although it was very busy, everyone found a place to sit. The food was very good. The selection was very extensive. The service was very friendly. For us, the wait while ordering was an additional opportunity to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere. Thanks to Marion and Uwe Anger

Six of us were here today, May 30, 2025. We got a free table outside and received a friendly welcome. Our order was taken promptly. Coffee and cake arrived quickly, as did the bratwurst with potato salad. And the view of the tower is worth seeing. We can't complain; the two ladies were simply lovely.

A super nice place with terrible service. I wanted to change money for the tower, and the €5 note was snatched from my hand and exchanged without a word. When we came down from the tower, we wanted to eat ice cream and drink coffee. We waited 20 minutes while the waitress ignored us so we could order something. We then went down to the Honigbrunnen (Honey Fountain) and received excellent service. The tower restaurant is no longer an option for us; something like this will stick in our minds, especially on Mother's Day.

I can only agree with the negative reviews. We waited almost 20 minutes for a server to arrive. After another 20 minutes, the cake was brought to us. We didn't get the coffee we ordered until the end.

We cannot recommend the restaurant to anyone. We were just disappointed, yesterday we tested the service, the food and other things on site more. A planned business celebration will definitely NOT take place there!! 1.) Most of the tables have reserved signs where no one comes at the end 2.) We were given cutlery very amateurishly, which was unclean, we had to specifically ask for napkins and coasters for drinks 3.) Drinks came quickly BUT we waited almost 2 hours for the food 4.) Then the food came for only one person at the table (lukewarm, loin super small and covered with a lot of indefinable mushroom sauce, a little salad on the side, which was in the whole thing "Mud" on the plate was absolutely inappropriate 5.) One guest had long since finished the aforementioned meal and after all this time we asked about the other meal we had ordered (already thinking about leaving in the back of our minds) 6.) It was promised that the second meal would "come soon" - almost 2 hours had already passed, and it was already coffee time! On the short, interim visit to the toilet, there was a lady who had a negative conversation with another woman about how they were served, how long they had to wait for their food and how bad and almost cold their food was... Conclusion of their conversation... Absolute disappointment and the sentence "Once and never again" 7.) The second meal was finally brought to us. Apparently deer goulash🙈🤨. The plate was carelessly covered. A thick, indefinable sauce, not a shred of meat to be seen, just tasteless canned mushrooms in the thick sauce a'la Maggi bag. Plus a blob of red cabbage, two very firm dumplings, a bit of lettuce on the side that was almost drowned by the indefinable thick brown sauce, absolutely inappropriate on the plate. The absolute highlight was a yellowish, thin layer of fat all around the plate, which came from the thick sauce and... all the food was sprayed with cream from the bottle and a dollop of jam (apparently it was supposed to be cranberries??). 8.) The price is absolutely out of proportion to what you get in terms of service and food! For these prices you can, for example, eat better in the city center of Dresden or in other very good restaurants and also have better service. It's a shame that all the negative reviews weren't written by the owner. The manager of the restaurant doesn't pay any attention to change anything. We therefore agree with the negative reviews and will not come back.

We stayed there for one night and I have to say the room was great. Clean neat. Staff was great Breakfast was also great sausage, cheese, fruit, spread, coffee, water and juice so there should be something for everyone... So we'll be back!!!!!

We were guests in the outdoor area of ​​the tower restaurant. The waiter was a disaster. He was on first-name terms with guests and his clothing was inappropriate. Flip flops, broken socks and holes in the T-shirt. Finally, he presented us with a handwritten invoice that was 7 euros too high. It doesn't work at all! ! !

Rating of the restaurant: Once and never again. First of all, you have to wait quite a while before you are even served. Friendliness seems to be a foreign word there. But what I liked best was the waiter in the baggy look and old flip flops 🙄 There were still dirty, sticky fingerprints on our cutlery. That kind of thing sucks! The food tastes like it comes from a MaggiFix bag and is absolutely not worth the price. Absolutely no recommendation!

No overnight stay, just stopped by for a “lucky luck without pre-ordering”: PERFECT! It was of course lucky that we got space on Easter Monday. Lucky, because the restaurant was (understandably) full. So the (what felt like plenty of) staff had a lot to do. The food and drinks: everything was great. Even a senior portion or “just tongue with sauce and some potatoes” (for the junior) were no problem. We really enjoy coming here again and can only recommend this place!

We went out to eat today on Easter Monday and had made a reservation. Drinks came quickly, we waited well over an hour for the food. There was no proper order. A family later came to our table and received their food at least 20 minutes earlier, even though we had ordered the food straight away. In the end, my mom's food was cold. I asked the waitress at the table to warm up the food. This request was complied with. We had no idea that the raw vegetable salad served with it would be warmed up at the same time. My potatoes had large black spots on them, something like that doesn't belong on a plate in a restaurant. The green cucumber on the plate was dried out and yellow. All five meals do not correspond to the price/performance ratio. What is positive is that the manager of the house took one meal off the bill. Thank you. Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant.

If you have to wait an hour for two coffees, it has nothing to do with service.

We were in the restaurant and were practically the only customers. Drinks came quickly, but the food took a very long time. The menu was quite extensive, despite the apparent lack of customers (it was a weekday, outside of the Saxon holiday season). The food was okay (hot and tasty), but the wait was very long. The owner seemed to be the only one there.

Toilet extremely unhygienic - no fresh food / more of a Maggie fix. Not recommended

Location great, but the restaurant cannot be recommended at all. Too bad.

Newly posted because my old review was deleted, apparently I was never a guest. But I haven't had this shop or the family that runs it since my apprenticeship as a chef and I think that I can form an opinion based on my professional experience. Disaster to describe in simple words!!! I was there 4 years ago and after 30 minutes I was served a cold coffee at the snack bar. Today we visited the Turmgastätte again for coffee and it was another disaster. After waiting for 20 minutes because no staff came, I asked at the counter and was told that a waiter would be there shortly. After another 20 minutes without a waiter coming, I asked again and was told I should be calm and not get upset 🤯. Friendly as I am, I sat down obediently and then left after another 10 minutes.

The allergies of the dishes are neither shown on the menu nor does the landlord have any idea about them. We were offered vegetarian schnitzel as it was gluten-free. Breaded, of course, with normal breadcrumbs (surprising that someone like that is allowed to run a kitchen)... Stubborn behavior when we only had to stick to drinks.

We can't rate the guesthouse only the food in the restaurant. My child's vegetables were oversalted and dry rice was served with the vegetarian schnitzel. Chili sauce was decorated on top. A big disappointment. The service was friendly. Short waiting time.

After an autumnal walk on the Löbauer mountain, we stopped at the tower restaurant. There were 2 dishes written on the board at the entrance, which we decided on spontaneously, and we sat down. A lot happened in the dining room, it was friendlier and new Furniture invites you to linger, if it hadn't been for the innkeeper. We were welcomed and served with a bleeding nose, first with a handkerchief, then without... clothes still dingy and unfriendly treatment of the guests. A menu was literally thrown at us, When we asked about the two offers from the table, we got a brisk answer that one of them was out. When we decided against lunch, the landlord seemed annoyed and annoyed. We drank our drinks and paid at the counter, where they involuntarily had one Look into the kitchen, tons of dirty dishes (we were 4 guests in total) and strange buckets standing around there. We were glad we didn't eat. Our clothes still smell like an old deep fryer. Unfortunately disappointed again 😕😓

Nice, rustic and cozy restaurant. Extremely friendly and courteous staff. Tip for those with a sweet tooth: Baked banana in a coconut coating with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Very tasty and highly recommended, plus you can't get something like this everywhere!

After 15 minutes we were finally able to order. When I still didn't have a beer after 30 minutes, we thankfully gave up the food. Waiter completely overwhelmed, without a plan and unfriendly. Never again!

I can only rate the restaurant here. Unfortunately there is no minus area to click on. The gentleman who served us was an absolute disgrace to guests. Unfriendly, sloppy answers and apparently not completely sober anymore (lunchtime). The dishes are ready meals and were served cold. I've already experienced a lot, but that doesn't work at all. Never again, that's all I'm saying.

I only visited the restaurant, not the guesthouse. The food is tasty, but a bit expensive for the portions. Especially the salad. The service takes a long time, even when there is little going on. Bring time.

So firstly, I don't like to rate it, but I traveled there with two other colleagues. On the 2nd the tower restaurant was closed at 4:30 p.m. After a while we found someone and this gentleman gave us the impression that he was no longer completely sober! After presenting the reservation for 3 rooms, he said there were only 2 rooms available. Somehow a 3rd room was available. And now it's coming! About an hour later, 2 mechanics came who wanted to use the one they had reserved. The answer from the gentleman was, I don't have any clean ones left today! 10 minutes later, 2 people (Polish, Czech) came and “cleaned” their rooms within 10 minutes! What's going on there? I don't want to talk about food anymore! Just frozen and cold. And now it's awesome because me and my colleague were outside to smoke again around 9:30 p.m., the "restaurant" was open, the radio was on and the good gentleman was gone. Once and never again!

On July 13th, 2024, Elke and Oliver celebrated their birthday together. It was a successful event because the accommodation, ambience, food and drink were just right. All guests found the interaction between the great location and the service simply successful. A huge thank you to the very nice hosts, keep it up and thank you again.

Pretty disappointing. We waited over 1 hour for our food (simple starters). The waiter didn't know how to say hello, thank you or other pleasantries that are expected in the restaurant. When we asked why the food took so long, we were simply ignored. Toilets were dirty and germy. Apart from that, it was completely overpriced for the service and the portions. Not recommended

We were there with prior reservation. The tables were neatly set up. Service was ok, special requests for the children were taken into account. The menu is very clear, the food tastes good, but there is little. For the prices one expected larger portions. What we didn't like at all was that every plate was "decorated" with spray cream... Parking spaces are available, but only a few. The view and the cast iron tower are really great.

Stopped here on Sunday after climbing the tower. Waiter in grubby outfit. Prices in the upper segment. Coffee served lukewarm in a dirty cup. Unfortunately the dishes weren't clean either. I stayed here for one night. Very nice location and very friendly gentleman at reception. The room and bathroom were tidy and clean, although there were no blinds/curtains on the windows.

Here you will find friendly service in a rustic environment. When the weather is nice, there is an inviting beer garden in the middle of the natural surroundings of the Löbauer Mountain. There is also the cast iron tower, which is unique in Europe.

Today we went on a hike to the cast iron tower on Löbauer Berg. When we got to the top, we wanted to have something to drink and eat. The waitress ignored us for 20 minutes, then we finally got the menu thrown onto the table without a greeting. . The order took another 10 minutes. The male waitress was wearing a dirty shirt and slovenly flip-flops around. But the food tasted good. The payment was made without a receipt, just by adding up the price on a block. Since the price was not written on the board, the price was not entirely understandable.

The visit to the Turmcafe last summer was terribly bad. The waiter in slippers and a baggy t-shirt was super unfriendly and covered us from behind so that he came very close to us while bending over. The ice cream cafe was just watery and not tasty. That wasn't a nice experience. There is also an attempt to cancel criticism via Google. What kind of company!?

We went for a hike up the mountain and wanted something to eat and drink. The first impression was good, unfortunately that didn't last long. After waiting a bit and asking if there was service outside, one of the staff came. Of the five things we ordered, three were not on the menu. The cake was microwaved and not tasty. The Aperol is served carelessly in a long drink glass without ice. Seasoned meat was forgotten, but that's clear if you don't make a note of it. The prices are overpriced. Over 8 euros for yeast dumplings with blueberries is a disgrace. A solyanka, on the other hand, costs 7 euros??? We were very disappointed and unfortunately cannot recommend it.

My husband and I were here today completely by chance. The sign in Löbau --> tower restaurant 1000m to the left - was very appealing. After what felt like 3000m we were able to discover the entrance to Löbauer Berg. Once at the top, the tower was definitely the highlight. We briefly considered whether we should just go up the tower (2€ fee) and eat somewhere else. The restaurant is very old and the offer on the table was very sparse. The menu didn't look any better either. Very few dishes, for a lot of money. Considering the portion sizes, a lot of money is an understatement. I resisted dessert and my husband got a frozen microwave apple strudel with chocolate ice cream and whipped cream. There wasn't even the standard flavor of vanilla ice cream. Really sad. Now to the staff/service: all other contributions are 1000% correct. The man doesn't know good morning or goodbye. Surely only he understands the alleged “humor”. It's probably more unfriendly. And his appearance was just dingy. Bite your fingernails and then serve the food straight away. It's a shame that we only read the recessions afterwards. Never, ever again. The view from the tower alleviated the disappointment of the restaurant.

Food is routinely cooked standard that is sold at too high a price. After 7 years, the operator is trying to have this review deleted via Google because the text would “violate personal rights”. We didn't book a room but we still wanted to order! Unfortunately, no one from the staff came to us to place our order or to clear our table (despite several requests!)!!! The view is nice but the staff is unfortunately inadequate!

Unfortunately, all the bad reviews are true, but we only read them afterwards. No hello, no goodbye. Staff looked exactly as described in all the reviews, plus in flip flops and socks with holes. Among other things, a blueberry ice cream sundae was ordered and the request was made to swap the vanilla ice cream for chocolate ice cream. We then got another ice cream sundae, without blueberries but with eggnog... our glasses were dirty too. Dishes from the previous guests were left lying around for a while before they were cleared away. When new guests came to the restaurant, it was more important to make private calls instead of saying hello or serving them. It's a shame for the beautiful location. In the right hands, it could definitely become something more beautiful! Unfortunately 1 star is really too much.

So to write something nice here. We were completely satisfied. The only thing was the bed which was a bit uncomfortable. We received a very friendly welcome, were always well looked after and were well served with breakfast. Even the food in the restaurant was delicious and we had nothing to complain about. We were there with our dog and it felt very, very comfortable. The reviews always talk about the gentleman whose outfit wasn't so suitable for some people, or maybe the style. All we can say is that there is always a story about some people and exactly this person has found a place and a task with the owners . What a great family it is, who give imperfect people the chance and a place in their midst. They deserve my utmost respect. To outsiders it seems intimidating, but it's not. In life you should show understanding for someone sometimes which is not what is perhaps assumed. Our celebration in the Berghäusel was more than perfect and wonderful...from the food to the service. Everything was very tasty and wonderfully organized by Ms. Koch and her nice team. We would like to thank the Koch family and their Rene for a very nice stay.

Unfortunately I have to say that I have never experienced such bad service. One star is still too many.

Were there after a hike to drink coffee and eat cake, then ordered coffee and it was served in dirty cups by equally grubby staff, after a complaint [new coffee] was served, which was served in equally dirty cups, after another complaint the coffee was given one Table continued to be served to other guests. Restaurant Gußeisenen Turm in Löbau, we went there for lunch, the food was very tasty, hot and plentiful. The waiter was attentive and friendly, but unfortunately he was almost unrecognizable as he was wearing a normal men's sweater (shabby, and unfortunately also has a lot of stains).

Beautifully located in the middle of the forest, great rooms and a fantastic restaurant with great hospitality and delicious food.
