Turmgaststätte in Löbau

The allergies of the dishes are neither shown on the menu nor does the landlord have any idea about them. We were offered vegetarian schnitzel as it was gluten-free. Breaded, of course, with normal breadcrumbs (surprising that someone like that is allowed to run a kitchen)... Stubborn behavior when we only had to stick to drinks.

We can't rate the guesthouse only the food in the restaurant. My child's vegetables were oversalted and dry rice was served with the vegetarian schnitzel. Chili sauce was decorated on top. A big disappointment. The service was friendly. Short waiting time.

After an autumnal walk on the Löbauer mountain, we stopped at the tower restaurant. There were 2 dishes written on the board at the entrance, which we decided on spontaneously, and we sat down. A lot happened in the dining room, it was friendlier and new Furniture invites you to linger, if it hadn't been for the innkeeper. We were welcomed and served with a bleeding nose, first with a handkerchief, then without... clothes still dingy and unfriendly treatment of the guests. A menu was literally thrown at us, When we asked about the two offers from the table, we got a brisk answer that one of them was out. When we decided against lunch, the landlord seemed annoyed and annoyed. We drank our drinks and paid at the counter, where they involuntarily had one Look into the kitchen, tons of dirty dishes (we were 4 guests in total) and strange buckets standing around there. We were glad we didn't eat. Our clothes still smell like an old deep fryer. Unfortunately disappointed again 😕😓

Nice, rustic and cozy restaurant. Extremely friendly and courteous staff. Tip for those with a sweet tooth: Baked banana in a coconut coating with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Very tasty and highly recommended, plus you can't get something like this everywhere!

After 15 minutes we were finally able to order. When I still didn't have a beer after 30 minutes, we thankfully gave up the food. Waiter completely overwhelmed, without a plan and unfriendly. Never again!

I can only rate the restaurant here. Unfortunately there is no minus area to click on. The gentleman who served us was an absolute disgrace to guests. Unfriendly, sloppy answers and apparently not completely sober anymore (lunchtime). The dishes are ready meals and were served cold. I've already experienced a lot, but that doesn't work at all. Never again, that's all I'm saying.

I only visited the restaurant, not the guesthouse. The food is tasty, but a bit expensive for the portions. Especially the salad. The service takes a long time, even when there is little going on. Bring time.

So firstly, I don't like to rate it, but I traveled there with two other colleagues. On the 2nd the tower restaurant was closed at 4:30 p.m. After a while we found someone and this gentleman gave us the impression that he was no longer completely sober! After presenting the reservation for 3 rooms, he said there were only 2 rooms available. Somehow a 3rd room was available. And now it's coming! About an hour later, 2 mechanics came who wanted to use the one they had reserved. The answer from the gentleman was, I don't have any clean ones left today! 10 minutes later, 2 people (Polish, Czech) came and “cleaned” their rooms within 10 minutes! What's going on there? I don't want to talk about food anymore! Just frozen and cold. And now it's awesome because me and my colleague were outside to smoke again around 9:30 p.m., the "restaurant" was open, the radio was on and the good gentleman was gone. Once and never again!

On July 13th, 2024, Elke and Oliver celebrated their birthday together. It was a successful event because the accommodation, ambience, food and drink were just right. All guests found the interaction between the great location and the service simply successful. A huge thank you to the very nice hosts, keep it up and thank you again.

Pretty disappointing. We waited over 1 hour for our food (simple starters). The waiter didn't know how to say hello, thank you or other pleasantries that are expected in the restaurant. When we asked why the food took so long, we were simply ignored. Toilets were dirty and germy. Apart from that, it was completely overpriced for the service and the portions. Not recommended

An assessment on behalf of. The food was cold and, despite a complaint, was not served warm the second time. The taste was good but unfortunately no one wants cold food. The basement's appearance was also very slow and unfriendly. It's a shame, because the destination is really worth seeing.

Unfortunately a bit disappointed. The location itself is nice to look at. Unfortunately the toilets were not clean. The coffee wasn't a highlight in terms of taste either. It was the same as iced coffee. A bit disappointed. The menu leaves much to be desired.

I ordered a table by phone for 7:30 p.m. After 15 minutes had passed and no person or service could be found in the entire house, we left.

Nice hotel, comfortable rooms, although it's easy to get lost in the corridors. Clean. Very nice service, tasty breakfast. However, please note that the hotel restaurant is closed on Fridays. After a long drive from Belgium (right on the border with France) and a small lunch we were disappointed and very hungry

Stopped here on Sunday after climbing the tower. Waiter in grubby outfit. Prices in the upper segment. Coffee served lukewarm in a dirty cup. Unfortunately the dishes weren't clean either. Overall, unfortunately, we cannot recommend this. It's a shame, the location is actually great and a nice destination.

We were there with prior reservation. The tables were neatly set up. Service was ok, special requests for the children were taken into account. The menu is very clear, the food tastes good, but there is little. For the prices one expected larger portions. What we didn't like at all was that every plate was "decorated" with spray cream... Parking spaces are available, but only a few. The view and the cast iron tower are really great.

I stayed here for one night. Very nice location and very friendly gentleman at reception. The room and bathroom were tidy and clean, although there were no blinds/curtains on the windows.

Wanted to book a room for 4 days. To have us confirm this, please call again first. Even after being on hold for a quarter of an hour, no response whatsoever. Then we refrained from doing so.

Here you will find friendly service in a rustic environment. When the weather is nice, there is an inviting beer garden in the middle of the natural surroundings of the Löbauer Mountain. There is also the cast iron tower, which is unique in Europe.

Today we went on a hike to the cast iron tower on Löbauer Berg. When we got to the top, we wanted to have something to drink and eat. The waitress ignored us for 20 minutes, then we finally got the menu thrown onto the table without a greeting. . The order took another 10 minutes. The male waitress was wearing a dirty shirt and slovenly flip-flops around. But the food tasted good. The payment was made without a receipt, just by adding up the price on a block. Since the price was not written on the board, the price was not entirely understandable.

After my spontaneous hiking trip, I was able to recharge my batteries in the restaurant. My dog ​​was also allowed in and felt very comfortable. The visit to the Turmcafe last summer was terribly bad. The waiter in slippers and a baggy t-shirt was super unfriendly and covered us from behind so that he came very close to us while bending over. The ice cream cafe was just watery and not tasty. That wasn't a nice experience. There is also an attempt to cancel criticism via Google. What kind of company!?

We went for a hike up the mountain and wanted something to eat and drink. The first impression was good, unfortunately that didn't last long. After waiting a bit and asking if there was service outside, one of the staff came. Of the five things we ordered, three were not on the menu. The cake was microwaved and not tasty. The Aperol is served carelessly in a long drink glass without ice. Seasoned meat was forgotten, but that's clear if you don't make a note of it. The prices are overpriced. Over 8 euros for yeast dumplings with blueberries is a disgrace. A solyanka, on the other hand, costs 7 euros??? We were very disappointed and unfortunately cannot recommend it.

My husband and I were here today completely by chance. The sign in Löbau --> tower restaurant 1000m to the left - was very appealing. After what felt like 3000m we were able to discover the entrance to Löbauer Berg. Once at the top, the tower was definitely the highlight. We briefly considered whether we should just go up the tower (2€ fee) and eat somewhere else. The restaurant is very old and the offer on the table was very sparse. The menu didn't look any better either. Very few dishes, for a lot of money. Considering the portion sizes, a lot of money is an understatement. I resisted dessert and my husband got a frozen microwave apple strudel with chocolate ice cream and whipped cream. There wasn't even the standard flavor of vanilla ice cream. Really sad. Now to the staff/service: all other contributions are 1000% correct. The man doesn't know good morning or goodbye. Surely only he understands the alleged “humor”. It's probably more unfriendly. And his appearance was just dingy. Bite your fingernails and then serve the food straight away. It's a shame that we only read the recessions afterwards. Never, ever again. The view from the tower alleviated the disappointment of the restaurant.

Food is rather mediocre. You can definitely find something better in the area. (cheaper) UPDATE A complaint was filed against my 2-star review, claiming that I was never a customer. Well Google Timeline says something different... Therefore another star deducted.

Food is routinely cooked standard that is sold at too high a price. After 7 years, the operator is trying to have this review deleted via Google because the text would “violate personal rights”. Looking at the current reviews, things don't seem to have gotten any better. The review referred exclusively to the restaurant.

We didn't book a room but we still wanted to order! Unfortunately, no one from the staff came to us to place our order or to clear our table (despite several requests!)!!! The view is nice but the staff is unfortunately inadequate!

Unfortunately, all the bad reviews are true, but we only read them afterwards. No hello, no goodbye. Staff looked exactly as described in all the reviews, plus in flip flops and socks with holes. Among other things, a blueberry ice cream sundae was ordered and the request was made to swap the vanilla ice cream for chocolate ice cream. We then got another ice cream sundae, without blueberries but with eggnog... our glasses were dirty too. Dishes from the previous guests were left lying around for a while before they were cleared away. When new guests came to the restaurant, it was more important to make private calls instead of saying hello or serving them. It's a shame for the beautiful location. In the right hands, it could definitely become something more beautiful! Unfortunately 1 star is really too much.

So to write something nice here. We were completely satisfied. The only thing was the bed which was a bit uncomfortable. We received a very friendly welcome, were always well looked after and were well served with breakfast. Even the food in the restaurant was delicious and we had nothing to complain about. We were there with our dog and it felt very, very comfortable. The reviews always talk about the gentleman whose outfit wasn't so suitable for some people, or maybe the style. All we can say is that there is always a story about some people and exactly this person has found a place and a task with the owners . What a great family it is, who give imperfect people the chance and a place in their midst. They deserve my utmost respect. To outsiders it seems intimidating, but it's not. In life you should show understanding for someone sometimes which is not what is perhaps assumed. Our celebration in the Berghäusel was more than perfect and wonderful...from the food to the service. Everything was very tasty and wonderfully organized by Ms. Koch and her nice team. We would like to thank the Koch family and their Rene for a very nice stay.

Unfortunately I have to say that I have never experienced such bad service. One star is still too many.

Were there after a hike to drink coffee and eat cake, then ordered coffee and it was served in dirty cups by equally grubby staff, after a complaint [new coffee] was served, which was served in equally dirty cups, after another complaint the coffee was given one Table continued to be served to other guests. Restaurant Gußeisenen Turm in Löbau, we went there for lunch, the food was very tasty, hot and plentiful. The waiter was attentive and friendly, but unfortunately he was almost unrecognizable as he was wearing a normal men's sweater (shabby, and unfortunately also has a lot of stains).

Beautifully located in the middle of the forest, great rooms and a fantastic restaurant with great hospitality and delicious food.

I can't even tell what to start with... those. Cat in the kitchen, the drunk staff, the food from the freezer chest or the expiry date on the accessories. Unfortunately I have to give this restaurant one star otherwise I can't write here. Actually there is no one, only the food inspectorate to assess the condition of this house. Wir hätten mal die Rezensionen vorher lesen sollen. Der Turm ist immer einen Besuch wert, dass kann man aber über die Gaststätte nicht behaupten. Lange Wartezeiten selbst für Getränke. Essen kam nach über einer Stunde und ist nicht zu empfehlen. Vom extrem sauren Salat zu Beilagen die mit Haaren verziert sind. Den Turm werden wir wieder einmal besuchen, die Gaststätte garantiert nicht mehr.

Der Besitzer aka Pommesschubse hat sich vor Bekannten von uns darüber ausgelassen wie bekloppt wir wären, da wir Google Maps gefolgt sind. Den Weg den Berg rauf sollte laut Maps eigentlich ein Caravanstellplatz sein. Leider haben wir uns festgefahren. Erst hat er rüde meine Partnerin angequatscht. Später sich bei Bekannten ausgelassen. Ja Pommesschubse manchmal ist Welt ein Dorf.

The restaurant is a bit old. You could put on some make-up without losing the old charm. Food was good and everything came warm after 30 minutes. So it's better to test it yourself and not put so much emphasis on negative reviews.

Wir saßen eine halbe Stunde ohne Beachtung in der Gaststätte. Getränke kamen fix aber so gut wie keine Kohlensäure und original Fanta war es definitiv nicht. Haben dann aufs Essen verzichtet weil der Tisch geklebt hat,die Speisekarten alt, ranzig, vergilbt,kaputt und süffig waren . Abgesehen von der Hygiene dort ,halt der Wirt glaub auch net viel davon. Es stand einfach muffig und wie eine Zigarren Kneipe. Also einmal und nie wieder. Turm ja- Gaststätte nein. Dann lieber paar Meter weiter runter zur Konkurrenz laufen.

Der Standort ist eigentlich Klasse, total ruhig im Wald gelegen. Wir kamen um 15:30 Uhr an und unsere Zimmer waren noch nicht bereit. Wir hatten für zwei Nächte gemietet. Unsere Zimmer, Bad waren sauber, sehr klein, kaum möbliert, 3 Kleiderhaken, keine Komode oder Schrank für Bekleidung. Die Betten sind sehr schmal. Die männliche Bedienung war abends zweimal schwer alkoholisiert, kann und will "mit der Kasse,... erst morgens wieder umgehen", wir konnten somit abends gegen 22:30 Uhr nicht bezahlen. Die Bedienung hatte schwere Artikulationsschwierigkeiten und störte durch zwei lautstarke private Mobilfunkgespräche mich als Gast und einen Mitgast auf der Terasse. Es war schwer diese Person, diese Bedienung , abzuweisen, weil er uns ständig mit privaten Dingen zutextete. Die Speisekarte des Restaurants ist für landestypisch sächsische Verhältnisse sehr dürftig, ja abzulehnen. Wir haben am zweiten Abend in Löbau ein Restaurant aufgesucht. Wir hatten zwei Einzelzimmer gebucht, die aber Doppelzimmer waren mit Einzelbetten, das ist ok. Zimmerqualität incl. Frühstück entsprechen nicht dem Preis,-Leistungsverhältnis für 65 € pro Person pro Nacht im EZ. Das ist unangemessen, 45 € , für ein EZ mit Frühstück hier maximal angemessen. Das " sogenannte Frühstückbuffet" ist eher mager. Wir kommen nicht wieder. Eine Enttäuschung, zwar eine urige Gaststätte. ABER NICHT NOCHMAL!

Schöne Gastronomie mit Möglichkeit zum draußen sitzen. Einiges zu Speisen und trinken auf der Karte. Es gibt auch Kuchen! Zu den Zimmern kann ich nichts sagen.

Wir waren eine Nacht hier. Es war super schön. Das Essen war lecken. Das Zimmer war sehr schön. Wir wurden sehr gut bewirtet.

Also es war interessant 🤣 gastronomisch tw etwas grenzwertig aber wir haben es mit Humor genommen. Wir hatten allerdings auch Zeit u daher hat uns langes Warten aufs Essen nicht direkt gestört. Geschmeckt hat es und die Getränke kamen auch immer zügig. Preislich ist es ansich ok. Die Aussicht vom Turm war natürlich der Hauptgrund warum wir überhaupt oben waren.

Wir haben nur am Abend zwei Tassen Kaffee getrunken. Ein bisschen irritiert waren wir,dass man zum Bestellen nach drinnen gehen musste, denn nach draußen kam niemand schauen. Ansonsten war aber alles in Ordnung, wie gesagt, war nur Kaffee, zwar etwas teuer,aber dieser durchaus stark und lecker.

Sehr schöner ecke. Gute Bedingung essen war auch gut.

Zimmer kann ich nicht beurteilen, da wir nur zum Essen oben waren und um den Turm zu besteigen. Das Personal war freundlich und bemühten sich. Für die vielen Besucher, reichte das Personal nicht aus. Mit den Getränken klappte es ganz gut, leider nicht mit dem Essen. Auf das Essen mussten wir sehr lange warten. Das Essen selbst schmeckte gut. Die Serivcekraft entschuldigte sich noch.

Freundliche Bedienung. Aber an den Feiertagen offenbar überfordert. Die Getränke kamen kleckerweise nach der Vorspeise. Die Oppacher Zitronenlimonade wurde mit dem Satz: "hier ist die Sprite" gebracht. Die Vorspeisen kamen etappenweise (erst für zwei Personen, dann für den Nächsten, dann wieder die Nächste). Die Hauptspeisen kamen recht schnell. Eine wurde vergessen. Das wurde sofort noch geholt, hier fehlte aber das Gemüse. Das Bringen der Rechnung wurde auch vergessen - wir haben dann daran erinnert. Das Essen war okay. Für Qualität und Menge aber zu teuer.

Ein kleiner 'Eifelturm' bei Löbau mit Blick auf Selbiges und die Umgebung mit Kulinarischem A Schluss und Wa derumgebung vom Schönsten ...

Den negativen Bewertungen hier kann man wenig hinzufügen. Alles ist gesagt und kann von uns so bestätigt werden: Essen unterdurchschnittlich, Sauberkeit so lala, Personal (in unserem Fall die Betreiber) überfordert. Hier wäre so viel mehr drin bei anständiger Bewirtschaftung...

Wir waren heute hier essen gewesen. Der Wirt war sehr höflich und hat immer mal vorbei geschaut ob wir noch was benötigen. Als Vorspeise hatten wir beide ein Würzfleisch und Toastbrot, mit dem wir sehr zufrieden waren. Hätte ich die Rezeptionen vor mir gelesen hätte ich ein Foto gemacht - den das Toastbrot war getostet.. Hauptspeisen waren wir auf dem Bild zu sehen einmal Zunge und Geschnetzeltes. Beides sehr lecker, das Dressing vom Salat hat auch super geschmeckt. Wir können die Turmgaststätte sehr empfehlen.

Hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Trotz Großfamilie mit 12 Personen und Hund bekamen wir schnell einen Platz und auch sehr schnell unser Essen. Das Essen war völlig in Ordnung und sehr lecker! Schön unkompliziert...... Immer gern wieder!

Tolles Ambiente, super tolle Zimmer und ein mega freundliches Personal. Ich möchte mich auf diesem Wege für den tollen Aufenthalt bedanken :)

Jedinečné místo s krásnou, litinovou rozhlednou. Vstup přes turniket za 2 EU. S přilehlým penzionem s restaurací. Z města Löbau vzdálené cca 1,5 km se stoupáním náročné na cyklo. V horní partií se dá parkovat a dojít po hřebenu cca 0,5 km.

Es sieht unordentlich um das Objekt aus,die Speisekarten sind beschmiert,Preis Leistung stimmt nicht,Bedienung überfordert.Anhalt der Rechnung ist nicht ersichtlich welches Essen (z.B. Name des Gerichtes, ist nicht aufgeführt)wie viel kostet.So schnell gehen wir nicht mehr hier essen,schade.

Es war schönes Wetter und rammelvoll demzufolge habe ich mit langer Wartezeit gerechnet. Aber die Wirtin hatte zusätzlich Personal angeheuert und so hatten wir unsere Eisbecher ganz schnell und könnten das Wetter genießen.
