Biergarten Pension am See in Malchow

The restaurant has been permanently closed since November 2024.

The food was okay. The price for an espresso: €3.90 is pretty steep.

Very friendly service… beautiful view from the beer garden of the boat dock and the Malchow swing bridge… We had a cabbage roll that wasn't homemade… The redfish (recommendation) was very tasty…

The restaurant has its own boat moorings, one of which we used. The food was mostly tasty, but nothing special. The children's dishes (pancakes and potato pancakes), which, according to the children, had far too little applesauce, were unfortunately very poorly presented on the plates. The waiters were able to answer allergen questions upon request (to the chef?). The alternative dish for our little egg-allergic patient was, unfortunately, anything but good. A tiny piece of chicken (hard, dry, and completely burnt on the end) with fries (not fried long enough) was, unfortunately, anything but tasty. The cost was almost €19. That was absolutely unacceptable. Unfortunately, we only noticed the high cost later on the receipt, otherwise we would have complained on the spot. The restrooms were very clean. The beer garden with a view of the water has a very nice ambiance, but the grounds were very neglected at the time of our visit (overgrown weeds on the sidewalks, etc.). There is a small playground, which we really liked.

So, my hamburger schnitzel was 100% frozen, which is a real disgrace for €17.90. And there were no ice cubes in the soft drinks (Coke), and the Coke was already warm after 10 minutes. My wife's smoked pork was okay, but the schnitzel, sorry, was awful.

The staff are friendly, the food is great and the view of the water tops it all off nicely

Visited on July 18, 2023, for two people, the bill was €42 for two beers and a shandy and two down-to-earth Eastern dishes (with that old-school flair—which wasn't bad for me, more like nostalgia). It was just about filling, and the side dishes weren't enough. They just needed another potato at around €15 per portion. Still, I thought it was okay. The guys were overwhelmed with the beer temperature, but that was sorted out. They were quick (really) and friendly. A rain shower required a bit of improvisation from everyone. I'll be back. And I'd be perfectly happy with a little more nostalgia in the kitchen.

And we really enjoyed it; the food was delicious. Prices are reasonable and the staff is great. 👍 We'll be coming more often now. Atmosphere: A+

Apart from the good location, there's nothing to recommend here. We had to wait 1.5 hours for the simplest dishes and even found a hair in the food. Drinks were quite expensive, the table was a bit dirty, and the staff were overwhelmed. NOT RECOMMENDED

The location was good, the staff not so much because their behavior was very youthful. The food wasn't particularly special. Not recommended.

Was there in the evening on July 29th, 2022, beer and apple spritzer €5.90 each... that's not possible. The cabbage roulade was from the wholesaler, the pike perch was ok, but the side dishes were poor and few, the service was good... overall not recommended and totally overpriced... it's actually a shame, a good location. The neighboring fish restaurant couldn't be topped with the same food prices

Bad ready-made schnitzel with little but burnt fried potatoes and canned vegetables, plus there was a dirty table with a broken parasol and broken chair and a beer for €6, so if you want bad, expensive food, this is the place for you... The only positive thing is the location by the water, but that doesn't make the bad food any better... The staff seemed to only have one older waiter and the rest consisted of students in holiday jobs, not bad in itself, but it's worth mentioning that the owner makes a nice profit on the prices and hires cheap workers for this...which isn't the case either are the friendliest. But at least it was the first restaurant in which you waited a long time for your food and the cutlery was only made available 3 minutes after the meal :D Well in short once and never again!!!

Great garden terrace. But then that was it. Life is too short to wait an hour for a sausage and fries for an incredible €8.50. Should have read the reviews sooner. Never ever.

Amgebrannte Bratkartoffeln & Leber, Fertigschnitzel und TK-Gerichte für Kinder die dann auch noch kalt gebracht werden. Der Rhabarbersaft war auch schon schlecht. Nicht zu empfehlen, schon gar nicht für den hohen Preis. Der Biergarten gibt optisch leider auch nichts her.

Seit über 20 Jahren bereisen wir diese Region mit dem Boot und waren öfter Gast in diesem Lokal. Dieses Jahr wieder und wir wurden hinsichtlich der Getränke voll abgezockt, 0,5 Bier und 0,5 Apfelschorle = je 5,90€ ! Bravo macht weiter so, der Winter ist lang und dann sind kaum Touristen da ! Ansonsten war das Essen und die Bedienung Ok !

Essen nichts besonderes aber ok für die Preise. Bedienung leider zu langsam. War vollkommen überfordert.
