Servizio pessimo ed il cameriere si è stupito quando non gli ho lasciato la mancia. Da evitare

Assolutamente da evitare, cibo mediocre ma la cosa peggiore è la scortesia e la maleducazione della cameriera. Sbuffava continuamente e al conto chiedeva in maniera insisistente e scortesemente la mancia che non meritava. Da evitare

We went yesterday, and we entered the restaurant at 1:15 p.m. We see the menu and ask the waiter for two dishes, a beer and a bottle of mineral water. Right after ordering them he asks again what we wanted. Two minutes later he asks again if the water was sparkling. He brings the drink, and at 1:55 p.m. he asks for the dishes again. He tells us that he had not yet sent the order to the kitchen, but that it will take approximately ten minutes, and he tells us that he will offer us a coffee or a shot for the wait. Food arrives at 2:40 p.m. We were two minutes away from leaving. The food was not bad, a little expensive for what it was.

Wanting to taste regional cuisine, unfortunately I chose this restaurant, from the beginning the service was very distorted and unfortunately I couldn't sit with my son at the table near the entrance (wooden bench and table), I initially thought it was ok because it was for 4 people and there were only 2 of us, the pub is practically empty. We sat at a plastic table and ok, the waitress didn't want to communicate in English at all, but that's also ok because she doesn't have to. It's a pity that she didn't have any language problems with other guests. We chose the dish and while waiting for it, it turned out that the family of four had not been allowed to sit at the atmospheric benches, even though a couple from Germany was already sitting there. The gentleman loudly expressed his dissatisfaction, but the waitress seemed to not care :( the food was ok, but the atmosphere was terrible, the staff never came up to us to ask if we were OK, even though they approached others, at the end, 1 gentleman from Germany sat down at the previously mentioned bench and for me it was an obvious signal that there is some kind of selection in this restaurant, which I hate. I left 50 euros there and unfortunately I regret it because I could have eaten in a nicer and more friendly atmosphere, the lady even brazenly pointed out when paying that the tip was not included, I left it only because of that. that's how I was brought up. I don't recommend it and I will never go back there, there are plenty of other pubs that don't make selections and where you can feel good just ordering water :) and I'll tell you only one thing... this is not the way to go, ladies, you can make a big mistake. customer assessment.

Excellent service. Nice place, with typical German food, and a wide variety of beers (although not gluten-free 😩). Price according to the quality of the product and the location.

Rude and rude. I don't judge the food since we didn't even have the opportunity to try it, as - despite the place still having 3 completely free tables - we were criticized for asking if there was room for 4, blaming us for not having seen that the place was full... how were we supposed to understand this? I understand that sometimes incompetence combined with a lack of patience can lead to unpleasant reactions, but they are not acceptable if it is a restaurant, where customers come to eat... paying.

Very good German cuisine. I would like my beer a little colder. The staff is polite and friendly. We sat outside on the pavement which was lovely but we were disturbed by flies and a passing (thankfully) mouse.

We stopped there last night after our trip to Berlin. Very cozy restaurant and super delicious food. My husband had a pork knuckle and loved it. You can't get anything that lavish here in Baden-Württemberg, not even from the butcher. The portions are really very generous. Nothing for those with less. The service was very friendly and fun. We will definitely come back there on our next trip to Berlin.

German food in a restaurant decorated with a Bavarian theme. We ordered different typical dishes and you can combine them by choosing the potatoes 🥔 cooked in different ways. The food was quite good and the atmosphere was also pleasant waiters.

Very good, prices a little high but the area is central. As the name suggests, a wide choice of potato side dishes. "Fixed" menu, main course + side dish. The price depends on the main dish.

Very friendly condition. The food was super tasty, the portions are generous. We sat outside, through the construction site, one point deducted from the ambience. Inside it would look like a 5 ⭐ ambience 🙂

I got the Eisbein (Pork Knuckle) and Berliner Pils, and I can't recommend enough! The potatoes #4 were crispy and thin (kind of like super thin mcdonalds potatoes), and the pork was so tender it fell off the bone. It also came with mushy peas and sauerkraut. Sauerkraut was very good but mushy peas are not for everyone. The waiter was super nice (especially for Europe).

The food is really highly recommended, especially the garlic potatoes. You could put yourself in there. An absolute dream 🥰 For me as a Rhinelander, it was the first currywurst without casing, and looks a bit like a Dutch frikandel. But the taste is absolutely great ☺️ The service is also super friendly and accommodating. There's absolutely nothing to complain about. The only thing that was a little annoying was a boxing machine that was set up next to a clothing store, so you could hear the bangs and bangs every now and then.

A restaurant that you can easily recommend and don't have a guilty conscience about. We sat outside on the terrace and had a good meal in the restaurant. In terms of price, the restaurant is definitely the best in the area, we ate liver and farmer's pan. The portions were great and you could also enjoy a draft beer or beer. There are certainly cheaper bars in Berlin, but none so close to the Red Town Hall...

Very nice rustic restaurant. Very nice multilingual staff. We had the Berliner Platter and a steak plate each with fried potatoes. The food was very good and also plentiful. The next time we are in Berlin we will definitely stop here again. This restaurant is definitely recommended.

Typical restaurant with Berlin dishes. We had a currywaster and grilled sausages with both homemade mash. The non-alcoholic beers were also very good, especially the malty ones. I recommend this restaurant, which is not far from the emblematic centers.

Super tasty and typically German

Strange attitude towards English speaking tourists, we sat outside and we're served drinks and we're then moved inside as "it was about to rain". As soon as we had been sat inside they then sat other guests outside beside where we had previously been sitting. Do not reccomend this, especially given the wide range of alternative places to eat that are in the same area.

Very friendly restaurant with interesting decor and outside seating. The menu is traditional German with potatoes in 15 styles. Service is quick and efficient and the food well presented, tasty and good value.

Delicious food. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Portions very large. Therefore the price is a bit more expensive. But worth a visit and something different. Would go again. For vegetarians there is the option to order some things separately or change them. This is still a positive thing to mention.

After a long search near Alexanderplatz for a typical German restaurant, Potato House was the best choice.

A classic, typical German bistro with delicious food in various formulas and options. Busy but spacious - fast and friendly service - lots of choice - cozy inside. You don't expect this in the center of Berlin. Prices affordable good.

We were there after visiting a museum. My wife's schnitzel, soft and fluffy from the deep fryer, fries totally soft. I had a Berlin platter with currywurst, meatballs and small schnitzel and fries for €24. Curry almost not fried, hardly any curry powder, Meatballs made from plastic packaging were unfried and the schnitzel and fries were limp and soft. All in all, the worst in a long time, I thought places like this would have gone bankrupt by now Kind regards voh

The restaurant is located not far from the Alexanderplatz S- and U-Bahn stations and is best reached by public transport. The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor area. The interior of the indoor area is rather rustic. A wide selection of dishes is offered. You can choose your own potato side dishes from a large selection. The portions are generous and tasty. The service is friendly. For me the price-performance ratio is right here. Thoroughly recommended.

We ate in this restaurant today and I was already surprised at the way guests were treated at the entrance. When it comes to eating, I have to say that my dish was okay so far. The mashed potatoes were quite good, which unfortunately cannot be said for the currywurst. In my opinion it wasn't a real Berlin Currywurst, but a Frikandel, a Dutch meatball. I asked the waitress about it, but she said no and tried to pass the buck to me by claiming that, as a non-Berliner, I didn't know what a Berlin currywurst should taste like. But since I live on the Dutch border and know exactly what a Frikandel looks and tastes like, I can only say that it was definitely a Frikandel. The waitress didn't try to convince me otherwise and insisted that it was a Berlin currywurst without casing. However, I know a better currywurst without casing called “Curry 36” that looks and tastes different. This lady showed us two faces that evening: At the beginning she was friendly, but after I didn't want to give a tip, she showed a different face with a shake of her head and various gestures, which in my opinion is not possible in the catering industry. She said goodbye to us in a very rude manner. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant. My companion had a steak, which tasted okay. The ambience is good, but the service is mediocre to poor and the food is overall average. All in all, there are definitely better places in Berlin.

Very close to Alexanderplatz is this pretty, typical restaurant. Inside, you feel like you've been transported to a chalet in the Bavarian mountains. The service is attentive, the dishes are hearty and the beer flows freely! What more ? Prices are correct. We got around 20 euros per person for a dish and a beer!

Traditional German cuisine restaurant, rustic, with checked tablecloths just the way I like it, and the TV Tower above it. The menu is quite simple, you have the possibility to choose a main course and a side dish of potatoes, included in the price. I ordered the Berliner Boulette, the typical Berlin meatballs, and a classic mashed potatoes. Good and generous portion.

Asparagus is great. Schnitzel a little dry. Otherwise everything is nice.

The food looks good, but the taste is not amazing. The cheese fries are spiral fries covered in a nasty cheese sauce. The service is friendly, but very slow, even though it wasn't busy.

It's a win-win for us. The price tag is something average. I recommend.

Complete and very good German dinner, the girls very very attentive, the only thing is that you have to go to dinner before since in Spain we are used to a different schedule, and they closed early for us at 10:30 p.m. or before.

Highly inadvisable, they made me pay €0.50 to 12.00 for the beer (thieves), the meat was very tough and, finally, they didn't even give my partner a receipt. I asked for explanations and he made me a copy that wasn't mine and in the end he said it couldn't be done anymore. Run away, they'll screw you.

Had dinner at the Karttoffelhaus on our trip to Berlin, food was delivered very quickly, portion more than enough, good food, restaurant was a bit very dark, chairs were a bit old, otherwise it was a nice evening 👍

Cozy German restaurant where you can eat good typical cuisine. The formula they propose is the choice of 15 types of preparation and cooking of potatoes (kartoffel) as a side dish to be combined with the main dishes (the price obviously remains unchanged since it is part of the "single dish" chosen). We got the really delicious pork shank and schnitzel and beer. The prices are certainly not cheap given the area, but they remain in line with those of other places in Mitte.

When something surprises and for more than good. As soon as you enter you find a very cozy and very pleasant place, I wanted something typical German and I got it. Then the food was exquisite, at least the crispy knuckle with beer sauce, I recommend it without hesitation.

It definitely looked very nice and unusual there. There were lots of different wooden things hanging on the ceiling. After we ordered, it took a very long time for the food to arrive. So be prepared to wait around 1 hour if there are several people (but that could also be because there were 10 of us). The service was a bit intrusive. He came to look for what felt like 20 minutes. He always scared me because he suddenly stood behind me and spoke. The food was definitely delicious! The fries, however, were a bit sweet. Everyone who ate with me also found the food very tasty. Everyone was full. Overall the restaurant was very, very good.
