Very beautiful view of Pottenstein. Cake and drinks are available on Sunday. Further hiking options are available, for example, to the summit cross.

Self-service, drinks only, very friendly people, and a fantastic view of Pottenstein. We went up late Sunday afternoon and enjoyed the evening sun over Pottenstein with a delicious bottle of beer. Definitely worth a visit.

A great place to stop while hiking, with a great view of Pottenstein. Homemade cakes, coffee, and cold drinks are available on Sundays and public holidays.

Dedicated team, super nice location, sunshine in the beer garden until late in the evening. Food can't be rated because there wasn't any, but that's not a big deal. You can bring your own snack if you need it... There are plenty of drinks available

A very dedicated mountain rescue team that warmly welcomes and entertains its guests. Very good chocolate cake (made by my mother), good coffee and a local pilsner. Great ambience with a beautiful view. Compliment!!!

Die Bergwachthütte ist ein kleines Brotzeit-Restaurant mit großem Biergarten, schön gelegen mit hervorragendem Blick auf die Stadt. Man muss schon ein Stück steil aufsteigen, allerdings nicht allzu lange. Dann hat man sich die Brotzeit und ggf. das Bierchen verdient. Wer dann noch genügend Kraftreserven hat, dem sei der Aufstieg zum Bergwachtkreuz ans Herz gelegt, da man von dort aus einen grandiosen Rundblick hat.
