BER airport canteen in Schönefeld

The fact that you can't even manage to puree the mashed potatoes smoothly, and that more than half the portion consists of undercooked potatoes for an €8 dish, speaks volumes about the "effort" that goes into it in the kitchen. The fact that vegetarian/vegan dishes often cost over €10, however, tops it all. Simply embarrassing.

A few years ago, Widynski & Roick represented a significant improvement in quality over the previous provider. Much of this has declined considerably, although there are also significant differences within the three locations at BER. Portions are significantly smaller, and the pre-order system offers no benefits for anyone not directly employed by FBB. Effective October 14, 2024, prices will increase by an outrageous 78%, almost doubling their original price. Thanks, but I've reached the point where I'm no longer playing this game. I regret it very much, as I actually really appreciate my lunch break in the cafeteria and the networking with other departments there. But too much is too much.

First of all, this cafeteria is like a grab-bag. Some dishes taste okay, and some are just awful. The soups/stews give me the feeling they're just using up leftovers, and for €3.60, that's really cheeky. It would be okay if they actually tasted good! The scrambled eggs are also made with some kind of powder mixture, which you only notice when you order the dish without bacon. They really need to work on the quality. Regards A BER employee

Naja, halt eine Betriebskantine, da kann man nicht so viel verlangen.

Ein echter Knaller. Die Story um den Flughafen. Wenn es private Unternehmer wären die dort bauen hätten die sich schon längst nen ruhiges Plätzchen gesucht wo sie keiner findet. Nur schade das die Dilettantische Bande die Steuergelder verlässt ohne Sinn und Verstand. Peinlich auch für das Deutsche Handwerk. Rufschädigend nenne ich das.

Das Essen schmeckt gut. Nur die Portion für das Geld sind recht mager.

Gutes Essen, aber nichts für den schmalen Taler. Insgesamt jedoch normale Kantinenpreise. Sauberen Eindruck hat es gemacht.

Für eine Kantine recht gute Qualität der Speisen und gute Angebote!

Hier gibt es Senioren-Portionen. Gästen von außerhalb kann ich nur raten in den nächsten Ort zu fahren und dort zu essen. Oft gibt es z.B. kein ganzes Cordon bleu, sondern ein halbes oder ein ganz dünnes. Statt zwei Kasseler-Scheiben gewöhnlicher Stärke wird eine gewöhnliche Scheibe der Länge nach durchgeschnitten und so weiter. Mit Beilagen wird auch sparsam umgegangen. Wenn man um mehr bittet, damit die gereichte Portion wenigstens an die auf der Auslage angebotenen herankommt -die man erwarten würde-, werden z.B. oft Nudeln einzeln nachgelegt. Einfach lächerlich! Oft erhält man bei einer Hauptmahlzeit unter 600 kcal. Schaut man sich an, was die Gäste für den Salat in den Schälchen bezahlen fragt man sich auch, ob das Gewicht der Schälchen richtig berücksichtigt wird. Hier aufpassen!!!

Flughafenkantine, die von Sodexo betrieben wird und die durchnittliches Essen anbietet, das leider teilweise zu kalt ist, da wohl das Warmhalten der Speisen oftmals nicht funktioniert. Geschmackliche Höhepunkte sind eher selten zu verzeichnen.

Das Essen kann man essen, muss man aber nicht.
