Very friendly staff, good and very reasonably priced for Konstanz

This is by far one of my favourite restaurants in Konstanz and I’ve eaten here at least a half-dozen times. I always have the Pho which is delicious, and a great value-for-money proposition. It’s become increasingly difficult to eat well in Konstanz and it’s almost impossible to eat well and spend less than €20 per person. Well, it’s still absolutely doable here and I’m always happy to come back to try more.

The food is really delicious and at a good price.

A really good restaurant with a really nice couple running it. All the dishes are highly recommended, and the portions are generous and well-balanced. We eat pho almost every time and have never been disappointed. One of our go-to restaurants, one we've visited many times and would happily return to anytime.

I'm going out on a limb and saying: best pho outside of Vietnam! We spent a few months in Vietnam, and the pho at Bep Viet tastes just as good! We come here from Switzerland almost every two weeks! (Info: currently closed from August 4th to September 11th, 2025!)

Very fine, truly authentic Vietnamese dishes are served here. The ingredients are very fresh. The portions are very generous. Various popular Vietnamese drinks are also available. The prices are moderate for what is offered. The tables, floor, and restrooms are clean. 👍👍👍

I am completely surprised by the food we tried. I was there with two friends and the food experience was magnificent. The plates were enormous and tasty, the prize for them was very cheap. I would definetly recommend this place to everyone. The only thing that we did not like was the service of a young woman that was a little bit intrussive. IMPORTANT THING: It is not possible to pay by card and if you come from Switzerland they would equal the € to CHF, they dont make the conversion, so we lost money in the payment. However and to enfazise, the FOOD WAS AMAZINGLY GOOD.

The food is good, and so is the service. But the portions are much too large. It would be better to make the food cheaper and offer smaller portions. No one in the restaurant managed to finish their food. I ate the leftovers for two more days.

Great food, lots of it, but you can take leftovers home. One portion is enough for two.

Glass noodle salad with chicken €14. Huge portion of noodles with chunky carrots and very dry, firm meat. It's incredibly filling, and very unpretentious.

I had ordered the 15B to pick up. The chicken meat was inedible for me because there were countless pieces of cartilage and also very wobbly pieces on the meat. It seemed more like one Use leftovers as a tender piece of meat. The broth wasn't particularly aromatic and rather bland.

Today I ordered number 23 - rice with vegetables and sweet and sour sauce. The vegetables and rice tasted almost identical to the ready meal from Uncle Ben's except that I could have bought 5 portions with the money.

They are extremely unfriendly and the break time starts at 3 o'clock, but even though I came at 2:20 and asked to eat in 10-minute cuts, the male Asian employee said, "No??? The food doesn't come out that fast???" I refused.. But the food came out in 5 minutes.. Anyway, I couldn't eat it, so I had to eat like a beggar on a bench, shivering in the rain and cold outside... They won't give you a spoon if you don't have one... I'm so irritated that I take a bite I decided to just forgive because it felt like a moment... But if you eat it, the noodles will blow away in the wind... Still, it’s delicious… What is the peanut sauce recipe? Seriously... I want it…

This is my favourite restaurant. I like Vietnamese food very much, visited a lot of restaurants but this is one of my favourite :) Thank you for your great service and tasty food.

Food was good. The peach tea with oranges and cinnamon is surprisingly delicious. Only the service employee gave me a particularly problematic impression today. I ordered a noodle soup with chicken and then got one with beef. Then I explained to her what I actually ordered. She immediately became defensive and blamed me for not making a mistake. Then she just walked away without even wanting to talk about a possible solution. Super rude and unprofessional. I mean, no one has any proof anymore whether she interrogated or I said otherwise. But I think as an employee you can at least offer a possible solution instead of just knowing, blaming the guest and then walking away. That was absurd. Then I explained to the other employee and said that now no one can prove what the correct order was, but would it be possible to just replace the beef in the soup I had with chicken? Then he very kindly accepted the suggestion and the problem was solved. Finally, we wanted to pack up the soup and take it with us (just after 9 p.m.). She brought us the paper cup and said that we should do it ourselves at the table and that they don't do that anymore, which I never experienced before at Bep Viet. It could be that the kitchen had already been cleaned and there was no place back there for packing or pouring soup. But without even mentioning the reason for such an unusual situation is extremely unkind. I hope with all my heart that the delicious food and the effort of the competent cooks in the back of the kitchen are spared by the good service, instead of being hurt by the unprofessionalism of a single person. The kitchen deserves better.

Very friendly and fast service. The spring and summer rolls as a starter are absolutely great. As main dishes we had fried noodles and duck with peanut sauce and vegetables. Everything was very tasty.

Hot pot was excellent, as was the homemade lemon iced tea. Happy to come back :)

La cocina está germanizada y no sabe como en Vietnam. Suave en sabor, no recomendable. El camarero era muy grosero y antipático. Además de la comida es demasiado caro.

The food is really very good and the portions are huge! We have Vietnamese friends and they also say it is the most authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Konstanz. The service ranges from neutral to very friendly! Price performance top!!! The restaurant (old inn) has been decorated as Vietnamese as possible. There are nicer atmospheres, but that really doesn't matter when it comes to the food here, because it's wonderful and I enjoy being a guest.

The food was definitely authentic and delicious. We were visiting from California where there is an abundance of delicious Vietnamese food, so believe me when I say the taste of the pho and fried rice are super yummy.

I went there for a spontaneous meal with my son. The service was very nice and courteous. The food was very tasty, the portions are huge, so the value for money is great. We will definitely come here again. There's still a lot to try. My tip: The homemade lemon iced tea, sensazonell!

Very fine and beautifully prepared food at a good price for the large portions. The garlic sauce and chili sauce that accompany it are also very tasty. The friendly service adds to the lovely evening.

Authentic, very high quality and incredibly delicious. Really cheap for the portions. A small note to the kitchen: the portions were simply too big. This gave us another meal. If everyone can pack up the rest - great, otherwise unfortunately it's a waste of food. But we’ll still come back 😊

Das Restaurant ist gemütlich eingerichtet. So wie wir uns als Mitteleuropäer eben das asiatische Flair wünschen. Der Service war schnell und mehr als nett. Eine junge Dame hat alle Tische bewirtet. Schnell und überaus freundlich. Die Karte bietet eine große Auswahl an typisch vietnamesischen Gerichten, die für den europäischen Gaumen etwas "entschärft" wurden. Auch die Suppen sind sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Wer hier mit großem Hunger kommt hat Glück: Die Portionen sind riesig.

Fresh vegetables, really crispy duck and the rice is not dry like elsewhere. Everything together tasted really good. Not to forget the super friendly service. 👍

The food was good, but the service was extremely inflexible. We wanted to order a fried egg or natural tofu for our child. Didn't work. The waitress didn't even ask in the kitchen. Very disappointing. We also had to wait a very long time for our food. We ended up getting fried tofu because we asked someone else. It's a pity that this person didn't serve us from the beginning...

Not only super delicious food at absolutely affordable prices, but also really fair portions that fill everyone up. The last point in particular has now become a rarity in many other restaurants. Top!

Very nice service, the food was brought very quickly and the portions are incredibly large and the food is more than just delicious. The curry sauce is very spicy and so is the dark soy sauce. The sweet and sour sauce is exactly as you would expect and the homemade peanut sauce is to die for. No vegetables come from a can, everything is fresh, incredibly tasty, super tender and exactly to the point. You definitely have to make a reservation because the place isn't too big so you can definitely get a seat. We recommend.

I've been to this Vietnamese restaurant several times. The food has always been very fresh and tasty. Service is always very friendly and even when there is a lot going on, the staff is not stressed. Be sure to reserve on weekends. You can only pay in cash, no card payment possible. I can only recommend👍🏼

Was there for the first time and found the food good and the portion size more than sufficient, so I can't say anything negative. Oh, although the duck was a bit dry, but still good.

Ordered the fried rice with duck. The fried rice was very fragrant, reminiscent of the true Vietnamese cooking style. Bun cha was delicious, with alot of vegetables and the pork belly was nicely grilled. Generous portions, friendly and attentive service, easy to reach by public transport/ car. Highly recommended.

Overall, recommended, although not exactly cheap considering it is located outside the city center. The vegetarian summer rolls with peanut sauce were very good. The main course was glass noodles with vegetables and tofu. The portion was very large, enough for 2-4 portions, depending on how hungry you are. The service was initially very good, but as the evening progressed we were served less and unfortunately we were unable to order any more drinks. A menu that says VEG would be helpful for vegetarians. Dishes marked. Many dishes are prepared with fish or meat, including the classic “Pho soup”.

We have repeatedly ordered takeaway. Very quick preparation and very friendly staff when picking up. The food is really very tasty! Prices are completely normal for the region. The only real drawback: you can't pay by card. This is super annoying for me personally.

Excellent food. Very freshly made and fresh ingredients. The Happy Tea is my recommendation, a freshly made tea with lemon, ginger and mint flavor. The restaurant is my secret tip in the Konstanz area.

The food is delicious, the service is friendly. Tea and lemonades were delicious. In terms of price, it's not cheap. The only point of criticism for me was that the main courses were not offered as smaller portions. I only got about half done (despite being very hungry, my partner had a similar experience). Waren schon einige mal hier aber das letzte Mal sehr enttäuscht. Der Service war am Anfang sehr freundlich und sehr interessiert am Schluss war das Junge Servicepersonal uninteressiert und nicht aufmerksam. Das Essen hat uns gar nicht geschmeckt, das Fleisch und die Ente war richtig trocken, das Gemüse im Reis hat teilweise nach Fisch gerochen. Die Portionen sind gross, aber mein Wunsch wäre bessere Qualität. 🥸 Schade
