The service was really excellent 👌 she was very efficient from welcoming us to taking the order, bringing the food and checking on us, until we left. The food was average for me, maybe it depends on what you ordered. The Vietnamese coffee though is worth a try.

Great atmosphere, very friendly service and good food

It is strange that this is considered a Vietnamese restaurant. I order a Pho Bo soup and it was basically some warm water with 4kg of sliced onions in it and it tasted like it sounds. It was a onion tea with some noddle's in it. It was a sad attempt at making a Vietnamese dish. If you ever fell into a street puddle face first, then congratulations, that is the taste of the soup + some onions. Then the time came to pay, we waited about 10 minutes as the waitress was to busy cleaning a random table and greeting new clients saying that "I am a bit busy with these people" when I asked again if she can help us with paying for their sad food. Mediocre service, horrible food, with a bunch of goofs at the helm of this restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is … passible. Not over the top great atmosphere but passible. Let' say it was better than staying outside when it rains.

Everything is very nice and good

I've been there several times with friends for dinner, and from the first day until now, everything has been delicious, the service is super friendly, and the atmosphere is lovely and clean. There's great seating both inside and out. The cocktails and other drinks are all excellent and beautifully presented. Highly recommended, and the lunch menu is sometimes a bit cheaper than in the evening, but the value for money is very good.

Delicious soup, stylishly decorated, and full of flavor! I was truly pleasantly surprised—I haven't had such a delicious soup in a long time. You can tell that the food is cooked with love and attention to quality. The decor is also very appealing and cozy, making you feel right at home. The service was friendly and attentive. I'd definitely be happy to come back and highly recommend it!

The food was very good. I would have preferred the salad on a separate plate, but everything tasted very good. The best part was that there were no artificial flavor enhancers in the food. We arrived at 2 p.m. The restaurant closed at 3 p.m. We were told immediately upon arrival that we had to leave by 3 p.m. It was brought up again at the table. You don't feel very welcome. The server was friendly, though, and served us well and quickly. (So we would leave at 3 p.m.) 😁 The restaurant is a bit dark, and the wooden table had a slightly sticky patina. Overall, the restaurant and the restrooms were clean. We would eat here again! (Just a little earlier).

The food was good but when we got there there were apparently problems with the cash register so we had to wait forever!

Ordered wonton soup for me and my mom, they forgot the second soup (luckily so I didn’t have to eat it), shorted us 10$ in change and this is what we got. Less than half a bowl of hot water with exactly six vegetables and no wontons. I don’t know how they’re still in business

Great atmosphere, large portions, very tasty food!

I’ve dined at Good Rice at least a dozen times in the past few years and it’s always been a reliable and tasty option. The menu is vast and has changed over the years, and so have the prices and portion sizes it feels. However, the quality of the food has certainly remained very high. The service is always friendly and helpful and, it may not seem like much, but Good Rice is a restaurant I’ve always had intolerances accommodated when I or others have asked to remove a certain ingredients. This should be the norm but isn’t in many other establishments so I do commend Good Rice staff for that.

We had lunch here. We sat outside on the terrace in a lovely, quiet spot. We both ordered a crispy duck dish, and it was delicious! The ratio of meat to vegetables was good. Service was fast and attentive. Highly recommended!

I am very disappointed. After an already very tiring day, I went to the restaurant. To cheer myself up, I wanted to have lunch at your restaurant because I've been there before and really enjoyed it. When I said I wanted a table for one, the waiter mockingly asked me if I had no friends and laughed!!?? I found that very rude. The thought of the same waiter serving me spoiled my appetite and I left the restaurant. Very disappointing, such unprofessional behavior is absolutely not okay.

Unfortunately, after years of positive experience, I have to change my review. Prices have increased, quality has plummeted, and the staff has completely changed (negatively). Unfortunately, this was the last time.

I've been here many times and highly recommend it! They offer many different types of Vietnamese dishes with generous portions. The service is always friendly, too!

We had a menu with various mixed starters and main courses. Everything was delicious, subtly seasoned, each with its own unique flavor. The service was a bit of a show (dry ice fog) and the service was very attentive. The traditional ambiance of an old wine bar meets modern Asian food culture, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. Absolutely perfect and highly recommended!

(2 stars) I had a very disappointing experience at the Elefant Restaurant. I ordered a wok dish for myself and my partner. While my meal was fine, my partner's noodles smelled and tasted like they were made from leftovers. As someone familiar with Asian cuisine, I immediately knew something was wrong and didn't want my partner eating it. I politely complained, and the chef came out. Instead of taking it seriously, he just laughed and said the food wasn't from yesterday. I didn't want to make a big scene, so I said it was fine—my partner just wouldn't eat it. What shocked me most was that the chef didn't even apologize. And yet, we still had to pay the full price, even though my partner had barely touched the food. This is absolutely unacceptable customer service. I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Nice ambiance and a good selection of various Asian dishes, with a focus on Vietnamese. We had spring rolls and a salmon, mango, and avocado bowl for starters, followed by noodles in coconut sauce and chicken curry. The main course arrived before the starters were finished, which is a shame; we felt a bit rushed. Otherwise, the service was friendly and, as mentioned, quick. If you like Asian food and want to discover new flavors, you should go here.

We went here for lunch once, and the food was really good, but very expensive. On weekends, the pho costs €23. That's absolutely outrageous, even by Württemberg standards. It's not an organic, fair-trade Label Rouge shop. Apparently, only Swiss tourists can afford it. We left disappointed after the drinks (almost €5 for a small beer). What a shame.

Walking around the old town we found this little oasis. The boys welcomed us in and really took care of us. The food is delicious. The venue funky and clean. Thanks team for a wonderful evening.

A warning to anyone planning to host a business dinner here. I was here with my team. We had already stated when making the reservation that we would need a formal invoice. This was agreed upon. When paying, it wasn't possible to issue the invoice because only the manager could do that, and he was away. I left my business card, and they promised to forward it. Despite calling several times and each time the staff promised, most recently even with a 100% guarantee, the invoice never arrived. That's how they treat customers there! Now I'm annoyed that I gave a generous tip. What a shame about what should have been a nice evening. Addendum: About an hour after this review, the bill finally arrived. Coincidence?

I went to eat a bowl of pho on 33 EU, the meat was cut into large pieces and very tough, 2 bones for dogs were left in the bowl, too bad for Vietnamese people to cook pho in Konstan 🇩🇪

The pho soup was not that great. Spaghetti and chicken in a very clear broth. My drink was overpriced. I spent 19,80€ and because of a 20€ limit I couldn’t pay by card. For a 20 cents difference. Unfriendly waiters. I won’t come back.

We visited Good Rice today and were pleasantly surprised throughout. All our special requests were fulfilled. The udon noodles and the curry were a delight. The summer rolls were delicious! Be sure to try the homemade iced tea :) The restaurant is lovingly and authentically decorated in Vietnamese style. We'd love to come back.

I ate there this evening with my two small dogs. The staff are very friendly and especially nice to the dogs. They immediately offered us a bowl of water! Great! The food is fresh and was brought to the table quickly. I'd go back anytime!

Unfortunately, this isn't so good, as the menu is very poor and confusing. You get tables that aren't inviting to the waiters. The staff is very inattentive. It's a shame.

I had the duck summer rolls and the beef fried rice. Both were delicious. But wasn't blown away. I would have liked it to be more seared and more flavorful. My companion's tofu dish was also tasty. Prices seem to be normal for the Lake Constance region, but expensive for average Germany. Service was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is cozy with great decoration. Asian restaurants often give the impression of a fast food restaurant/snack bar where you don't want to stay for long due to plastic furniture and little decoration. This restaurant, on the other hand, is decorated with a lot of love.

The food was very tasty. We got food to go. Packaging and cutlery costs extra. It would have been ok if there had been forks included. Salad with plastic spoon food wasn't that nice! We had to be annoyed about it!!! Therefore not full marks. Food is expensive but the lunch menu is fairly priced

We went to the store with a large group without a reservation. We were greeted very nicely and given a seat without a reservation. The service and food was very good. It's best to make a reservation here as the shop is very popular :)

The table we were put on (2 prs) had a Radiator next to it with some ants hovering on it. The waiter got the order wrong although he acknowledged the order twice. The food tasted good, like a solid 8/10, service: 7/10

Very tasty food and fine cool drinks. The staff is very accommodating and responds to requests and intolerances (if possible). To quench my thirst I usually take SAPA COOL (sparkling water with lime, cane sugar, syrup). As a starter I can highly recommend the Mr. President skewer. As a lover of soups, I often have the Good Rice Soup with coconut milk, pak choi, mushrooms, spring onions and so on (spicy). For this I choose the really tender and spicy chicken, which is cut into fine pieces and is easy to eat with chopsticks. Of course, the menu offers many other fine dishes. The portions are very large. Good Rice has long since become one of my favorite restaurants in Konstanz.

We were there spontaneously and got a table for 1 hour. Since everything was very full, time was a bit short. But food came relatively quickly. We had vegetarian starters and main courses. I especially found the vegetarian spring rolls very tasty. Overall a bit expensive. Be sure to reserve.

We were there for dinner in a group of 10 friends. Our table was only suitable for a maximum of 8 people, so you can't eat well there. 4 of us sat on a bench without a backrest, which is not comfortable. My peanut sauce with duck wasn't particularly tasty, it was rather boring; the duck breast was sliced ​​so thinly, like cold cuts. The curry was so spicy, the udson noodles were rather boring. Mango curry was semi good. Anyone who knows Asian cuisine will be disappointed here. And it is rather expensive. The sauces are all one-size-fits-all, it could definitely be done better. The staff is incredibly nice and friendly. But in my opinion, it's not possible to clear everything away at 9:25 p.m. and not bring anything else on a Friday.

The LUNCH from 12-2:30 p.m. was incredibly good!!! From the LUNCH MENU I chose No. 4 “Pho Lunch”, a Vietnamese flat rice noodle soup with tender steamed chicken, my husband chose No. 2 “Xao Que”, various vegetables with rice and beef in a dark sauce. Unbeatable in terms of price, quality and quantity compared to other restaurants! The service was very friendly and attentive. The ambience was successful. It was a treat to come here. Thank you.

The Good Rice restaurant is nestled in an ancient house. It scores with a great and tasteful ambience. You will be welcomed by the very friendly service staff and taken care of unobtrusively. The food was very good. After the delicious shrimp roll with peanut dip, we had hot pot pho. The soup was a real broth made from meat bones and not a bouillon cube soup, like unfortunately in many other restaurants. The portions are really big and also very nicely prepared. Overall, really recommended if you want to have good Asian food in Konstanz.

We were very satisfied! Our waiter was incredibly friendly and funny. The other waiter or boss was arguing loudly off to the side, probably with an employee. Not so pleasant. But the food was very good and the portions were okay. You might like to declare dishes vegan more actively. :)
