The service was very good and we also really enjoyed the drinks. The pasta was a little too unseasoned for us and the bruschetta consisted mainly of garlic. Nevertheless, the cuisine is very authentic and the restaurant is recommended.

The menu urgently needs to be revised. Hardly any vegetarian options. The food is really outrageous for the price asked.

Old-established Italian restaurant, very authentic and very tasty. Warm food is also available late in the evening. What's special is that you can choose between 3 pizza sizes. The service is extremely friendly, fast and very child-friendly. Here you feel comfortable and welcome as a guest. In short: highly recommended. Always beautiful!!

Spaghetti and gnocchi were very good.

First of all, the food. When I read on the menu that carbonara had cream in it, I knew that I wouldn't want to order anything "Italian" (egg yolk, pecorino, parmegiano, guanciale and pepper are all that go into carbonara). So I chose the 104, a beef steak in mushroom sauce with spinach and fries. The salad as a starter was cheap and bland. Not to mention the semi-composted piece of cucumber. The steak was cooked the way I imagined it would be, but the mushrooms in the sauce were clearly canned mushrooms. Just like on the pizza at the next table. That's a no-go. The sauce was too much and didn't have a particularly convincing taste. The spinach with garlic and the fries were fine. The person sitting next to me had baked veal medallion with cheese. As you can see from the picture, a few slices of cheese were simply placed over the meat and slightly melted. This is what it may look like if you make toast with cheese in the microwave at 3 a.m., but not in a restaurant. I can only explain the 4.1 stars by the very low standards set by regular customers. The service is okay. We initially had to wait about half an hour before we could even order drinks, but that could only have been so bad today. Afterwards we were served quickly and the food didn't take long to arrive. When I pointed out the cucumber, they said they would let me know in the kitchen. I don't know if that happened. The ambience and the name couldn't be further apart. It just seems like a typical German pub, the furniture was bought before the fall of the Berlin Wall as was the cutlery, I wouldn't say it has a 70s atmosphere but rather a 30s atmosphere. You also come in and find yourself in front of an artificial seating area consisting of 3 half-walls on wheels with half-heartedly planted balcony boxes. And on the TV in the corner there is some music channel that occasionally shows irrelevant news from some town and mainstream hip hop from the USA. Instead of creating a playlist of Italian music and letting it play. So all in all an experience that I don't want to endure a second time. Even if there had once been a passionate fire for authentic cuisine, that flame has not only gone out, but been overtaken by a glacier.

We were staying at the Mercure City Hotel and of course we wanted to eat pasta the night before the marathon. Be sure to reserve in advance, as the restaurant was of course completely booked. The restaurant is a bit old from the outside and inside. However, the quality of the food is not. I had pasta with a tomato sauce with ham and mushrooms. The sauce tasted totally fresh. The service was very nice. The meal didn't take long. Absolutely recommended

Nice Italian on the corner. Good food, nice service. Ambience a bit simple but that's how we also know restaurants in Italy. Worth a visit.

The food and service were very good.

A small restaurant that should do something with the ambience (toilets) and some color in the dining room. The service is very attentive, you felt like you were one of the Pommis in the pictures who had all eaten here before. The food was excellent, the pizza was delicious, thin and crispy. The cabonara was very tasty (fine ham and, if desired, with extra garlic). Fresh parmesan was served at no extra charge. Thanks to the kitchen.

Bella has been one of my favorite places for decades when I'm craving pizza. Pizzas are large and have plenty of toppings. Not a posh place but with a lot of heart - especially the service. The Insalata Italia is also highly recommended.

A long-established Italian in Hanover. The decor is simple and rustic. The pizza was super tasty, the base was a little thicker. Pizza is available in small, medium and large. Price/performance okay. We were served very friendly. A pleasant evening!

We ordered food several times and the pastas were always good. Until today. Carbonara tasteless, looked like pasta with scrambled eggs. It was impossible to eat it. Terrible. Unfortunately, I do not recommend it.

We discovered this Italian by chance in the side street of our accommodation. Ordered to go. My husband's pizza was very tasty and so was my tortellini alla pana.

Very tasty food. Unfortunately, you had to wait a long time for everything because there was only one waiter who was responsible for the entire restaurant. The prices are also completely reasonable.

The owner is very personable and warm, the pizza mozarella with fresh tomatoes was top notch - the base was crispy and airy, the mozarella was baked perfectly and stretched very nicely, the tomato slices were well distributed and had just the right amount of bite. I'm very impressed 👌🏽

Bella Italia gehört zu den " alt eingesessenen" italienischen Restaurants in Hannover! Die Qualität der Speisenzubereitung ist seit Jahrzehnten immer sehr gut geblieben. Auch am Abend nach 22:00 Uhr ist der Salat knackig frisch!

Tolles rustikales italienisches Restaurant. Die Preise sind okay und die Pizza war spitze....

Das Restaurant ist mit dem Mobiliar nicht unbedingt stylisch und modern hat aber trotzdem irgendwie einen eigenen Charme. Die Bedienung ist immer sehr nett und freundlich. Ob Pizza, Pasta, Salat oder Suppe alles schmeckt sehr köstlich und auch die Portionen sind nicht gerade klein. Ich kann das Restaurant auf jeden Fall empfehlen und es ist ratsam vorher zu reservieren.

Ich bin sehr zwiegespalten mit meiner Meinung. Der Service war super nett und authentisch. Das Lokal selber jedoch sehr runter gerockt. Ich hab nichts gegen einen einfachen Einrichtungsstil und ein Ambiente wie in einer originalen italienischen Taverne. Aber ehrlich: die Treppe runter zu den Toiletten ist so unappetitlich, da sollte man nicht vor dem Essen hinunter gehen. Auch der weitere Gang dorthin voll gestellt mit Toilettenpapierpackungen und sonstigem Gerümpel ist doch wahrscheinlich eigentlich nicht nötig, leider wenig einladend. Das Essen war ganz lecker, nicht überragend.

Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, un luogo famigliare, cameriere gentilissimo, e cibo genuino italiano. Complimenti a tutti.

Mein Lieblingsitaliener seit 40 Jahren. Service sehr freundlich, jeder machbare Wunsch wird erfüllt. Wollte heute zum Beispiel nur Gemüse essen und habe eine fantastische Portion aus Brokkoli und Blumenkohl (leicht angebraten, mit Knoblauch) bekommen. Sehr kinderfreundlich. Ambiente halt rustikal, aber gemütlich. Stofftischdecken, frische Blumen. Essen frisch und sehr lecker. Besonders das Tiramisu ist als Nachtisch zu empfehlen. Eine tolle Portion und sehr lecker, immer frisch. Abends sollte auf jeden Fall reserviert werden, ebenso am Wochenende. Spontan ist da i.d.R. nix zu machen. Ein Freund sagte mal, es ist wie im Wohnzimmer...sehr familiär irgendwie. Und sehr viel langjährige Stammgäste

Wer hier eine negative Bewertung gibt, hat Italien nicht verstanden 😀einfach nur netter Service, tolles Essen und die Einrichtung so wie ich es liebe! Wer schnick Schnack möchte, muss zu uns nach Düsseldorf kommen, da wo ich auch her komme und da gibt es so einen ehrlichen Italiener NICHT!!!

Sehr, sehr lecker! Habe gegrilltes Fisch und Salat gegessen - Essen war Top! Auch Wine und Tiramisu waren perfekt. Vielen Dank für das perfekten Abendessen!

Ach ja, wir waren neugierig weil hier immer so viel los ist und das Restaurant gut besucht ist. Im Großen und Ganzen keine Offenbarung. Das Personal ist freundlich, meine Pizza wurde mit einem Fertigteig gemacht, die Tortellini meines Partners waren langweilig und trocken (wenig Sauce). Die Cola Zero war entweder keine Cola Zero oder mit Wasser gestreckt (Eiswürfel waren keine drin). Die Bruschetta war allerdings lecker gewürzt, das Brot dafür aber ohne Geschmack. Also, ein ganz normaler Standarditaliener der eine gewöhnliche Pizza auf den Tisch bringt - die gibt es überall anders aber auch.

..nach ca 20 jahren waren wir mal wieder im bella italia. leider kann ich die positiven rezensionen der stammgäste nicht nachvollziehen. es fing schon mit dem restaurant an, in dem wirklich noch die gardinen hingen die ich vor 20 jahren schon schrecklich fand und ging mit den uralten wc's weiter. der service war an dem tag völlig überfordert, alles dauerte eine gefühlte ewigkeit und die qualität der speisen hat uns auch nicht überzeugt. der einzige lichtblick war die zabaione! fazit: das bella italia war vor 40 jahren mal "bella", hat aber den anschluss total verpasst. das war definitiv unser letzter besuch..

Pizza ist sehr fertig und nicht lecker. Dafür das sie keinen Platz mehr für uns hatten, waren nach einer Stunde immernoch 3 Tische frei.

Came on a Tuesday evening. Service was fast and our waiter (who was probably the owner) was efficient. I tried the Bruschetta as I read many good reviews on it. It didnt disappoint. Also had the aglio olio but the latter was ok (nothing special).

Ein wirklich gemütliches Restaurant. Wir durften schon 10 min vor Öffnung rein. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Kann man nur empfehlen

Das Essen war sehr gut, sowie die Gastfreundlichkeit

Es war einfach nur genial! Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem kleinen, leckeren Restaurant und wurden keines Wegs enttäuscht. Ambiente: Für ein 50 Jahre junges Restaurant sah es okay aus. Die Tische traditionell italienisch eingedeckt, ruhige italienische Musik und eine leichte schlummrige Atmosphäre. Bedienung: Der Inhaber selbst hat uns bedient und war super freundlich. Sehr nett und zuvorkommend, immer einen Witz parrat und super gelaunt. Da wurde man direkt angesteckt tmit guter Laune. Essen: Wir haben 3 verschiedene Nudelsorten mit 3 verschiedenen Saucen bestellt und natürlich eine "Mafiatorte"(Pizza). Bevor es zum eigentlich essen kam, haben wir noch leckeres, fluffiges Brot bekommen mit balsamico, Olivenöl und eine Schale Parmesan. Das Essen selbst hat nicht lange gebraucht, ca 15-20 Minuten und was soll ich sagen, es war super lecker. Selbstgemachter Pizzaboden, leckere Tomatensauce belegt mit ausreichend Käse und Salami. Auf den Punkt gebacken, einfach genial! Meine Frau hat sich die 3 Nudeln / 3 Saucen bestellt und die haben auch sehr sehr lecker geschmeckt. Auf den Punkt genau gekocht, etwas unter aldente und geschmacklich ein echter Gaumenschmaus. Mit 2 Getränke waren wir bei ca. 32Euro und es war jeden Cent wert! Achja, wir waren so sehr vom Geruch des Essens überrascht, sodass wir das Foto davon vergessen und direkt angefangen haben zu essen 😅 Fazit: Wer ein tolles, angenehmes und leckeres italienisches Restaurant sucht, ist hier definitiv an der richtigen Adresse! PS: vielen Dank für das tolle Mittagessen, meine Frau hatte an der Hand einen Verband und der Chef hat ihr sogar noch gute Besserung gewünscht. Super freundlich, typisch italienische Gastfreundschaft ♥️
