A fantastic Italian restaurant with absolutely delicious food. In fact, everything is really delicious. The service is good, except for the temporary staff. Otherwise, it's a truly lovely, cozy, and delicious Italian restaurant!

We had a table reservation for yesterday, which was confirmed. When we arrived at the restaurant at the agreed time, we found it was closed. What incredibly poor service! Never again...

Although I'm from Hanover, I recently visited Bernini for the first time, and I really enjoyed it. Since we "only" had a snack before the opera, I can't say too much about the food. My burrata could have used a bit more tomato, and three tiny ciabatta rolls for two people is a bit of a stretch 😉, but my companion's vitello tonnato was apparently very good. However, I would like to highlight the excellent service: incredibly attentive, extremely friendly and courteous, and very efficient. The ambiance is also lovely, and there's only pleasant, soft background music (perfect for conversation!). It was a wonderful way to start the evening at the opera – thank you!

On September 20, 2025, I was at the Bernini with my girlfriend. She ordered Antipasti di Casa with Parma ham, among other things, for €15.50. However, she received the appetizer plate with Italian mortadella. We complained about this. They apologized, and the waiter brought the Parma ham separately. So far, everything was fine. A couple sat down at our next table after a while and also ordered the antipasti with Parma ham. And what did they get: Italian mortadella. Unfortunately, the couple didn't complain about the appetizer. Is there a system?

I really enjoy eating there when I'm in town. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is delicious.

Until yesterday, I regularly went to Bernini with friends and colleagues. The food was usually very good, but I had an unpleasant experience with the Italian waiter, who was always in a bad mood and had a long beard. We wanted to order two sirloin steaks for €24 each. The waiter suggested a larger steak with two sides instead. I was naive enough to think he was trying to offer us a better deal – but the opposite was true: The steak ended up costing €80, and the second side was charged extra. So I ended up paying almost €90, even though two individual steaks with sides would have cost a maximum of €50. I felt truly ripped off. Very disappointing – you lose loyal customers this way. I won't be going there again. It's a shame, because luckily there are plenty of other good Italian restaurants nearby.

We arrived in plenty of time before closing (9pm) we arrived at 20.00pm and I was rudely spoken to and said they are closing in 10 mins …. When I asked them if we could still order food, they abruptly said no, closing in 10 mins. I asked to use their toilet and they reluctantly told me where they were…. We went to the restaurant next door (Wirtshaus) which were amazing service and amazing food 🤩 at 21.10pm there were still people sat outside and staff were seen taking food out to there tables. don’t waste your time coming here

The short, black-haired host was extremely aggressive, yelling at me in front of everyone just because I sat at the wrong table while I was weating for an ICE CREAM to go. He was actively looking to be aggressive towards me. Very unprofessional and unpleasant experience.

Six of us were there for lunch today. The service was, as always, very friendly and quick. The delicious food arrived within 10 minutes. We had a lovely outdoor seating area, albeit on the (busy) Georgstraße.

The restaurant looks nice, but the service is subpar. A basket with three small pizza rolls and dirty cutlery is slapped down on the table without a word. If you complain, you get a flippant "I'm sorry" and another basket is thrown onto the table. The pasta was lukewarm and the portion was very small. The lobster sauce could also be called tomato sauce. The food wasn't served, but simply placed on the corner of the table.

Not necessarily recommended We sat directly across from the counter and saw that the salad plates were placed on the plates without gloves or tongs. Totally unhygienic.

The restaurant is opposite the opera house and has outdoor seating, beautifully situated under the trees. The menu offers a bit of all the Italian classics, so my husband and I decided to eat here on a whim. The Bernini pizza was okay, but the spaghetti carbonara didn't deserve the name. A white, greasy sauce with pressed ham. No flavor. Zero points. The egg and feta salad was so bland and lacked any dressing that it was almost a disgrace to serve it. The house rosé wine was good. Overall, bland, tasteless, and overpriced. This is not Italian cuisine. I don't understand the good comments here at all.

Price / performance does not match

We spontaneously decided to have lunch at Bernini. The service was very friendly, attentive, and quick. The pizza (Calabrese) was delicious, although the salami wasn't "spicy" as advertised. It was more like regular salami. I ordered extra anchovies on the pizza. Unfortunately, the overall impression was significantly negatively impacted by the fact that I was charged €4.90 extra for the anchovies on the pizza. For 4-5 anchovies, that's absolutely extortionate and disproportionate. I would have accepted a surcharge of what would normally be €2 without comment. It's a shame, that's how a restaurant can ruin its 4-5 star rating. Overall, therefore, only "adequate" (2 stars) instead of "good" (4 stars).

We came here for breakfast with a reservation. We didn't receive a particularly friendly welcome. When we gave us a voucher, they initially dismissed it by saying it didn't work. Even though the voucher had a code on it, we quickly had a QR code sent to us and, lo and behold, it was unnecessary because we managed without it. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, everything was counted out: exactly one mini piece of pineapple, two slices of ham, etc. The cheese slices took a while to slice so thinly... The orange juice definitely came from a tetra pack. The coffee was top-notch. However, the ciabatta was really tasty. The lady in service should think about whether she's in the right field; she obviously doesn't enjoy her job. We won't be back; there are definitely better places.

The outdoor area was busy, and some tables were reserved, hence the decision to eat at this restaurant. After ordering the food, there was a large bread basket with cutlery and four small, not-so-fresh pizza rolls that appeared under the cutlery. The basket was dirty, and neither was the cutlery. The Bernini pizza and the Bernini burger were also unsatisfactory. The pizza was sparsely topped for just under €17 and was quite soft/mushy; the burger was OK, but nothing more. We won't be back!

We had cocktails there, which were okay, nothing special. You get what you order.

The pizza was okay. Ordinary, I'd say. Visually, it looked inviting. But it wasn't a flavor explosion. The dough was superb and delicious, homemade. The tomato sauce was probably ready-made from a bucket. It was so extremely salty that it gave us heartburn later. Otherwise, the margarita was unspectacular. It was the evening of the opening of the church conference. We were initially advised against it, saying it would take too long. We were recommended the pasta. The three of us insisted on our pizzas. We don't have a professional Italian pizza from a stone oven at home. Pasta, however, is. We sat for a long time. The manager served us herself. We found it funny that the pizzas were brought first, followed some time later by the cutlery. The payment was inappropriate. We were asked to pay in cash. The manager said she would have to get the portable device. We weren't impressed. We insisted on paying by card. The manager was visibly annoyed and unfriendly. I had given a €4.00 tip in cash. She threw the money into a designated box and didn't thank me. I didn't think that was right. Excursus: At the table next to us were eight teenagers who also wanted to order a pizza, each of them individually. Here, the boss was successful. She told the teenagers that the pizza would take an unreasonable amount of time. She was successful with the teenagers. All eight teenagers ordered pasta. Something as sad as what happened at the table next to us only happens at the funerals of loved ones. The plates were visually oversized, and you could search for the contents. The carbonara was a cream sauce with pasta, like something from a housewife who has no idea about Italian specialties. Incredibly brazen and impudent to rip off the teenagers like that. They were incredibly disappointed with their food. I find the boss's behavior deeply shameful. I suspect that in 40 years, these young people will still be thinking about their pasta experience on the opening day of the Church Congress in Hanover in 2025. It's an event that won't be forgotten; it was too bad for that. My daughter went to lunch with her friend again. The pizza with a drink cost €13 plus. The pizza was smaller than the one in the evening. Here, too, they advised payment in cash because the portable appliance was on the move. My friend caved and paid in cash, while my daughter stood her ground (5/5 stars) and paid with a card. Same procedure, very irritating and unfriendly. We've decided not to eat there again. It's a shame, because the atmosphere is very nice and friendly. I have that atmosphere at home, too. When I go out to eat, I want to be treated with kindness.

We have been to Bernini several times and are thrilled every time! We would particularly like to highlight the great service from Safe (that's really what it's called) - incredibly friendly, attentive and warm. You immediately feel welcome! The food is always excellent, whether from the daily menu, from lunch or in the evening with a glass of wine. An absolute recommendation, we would love to come back! The catering is also great, we once had the antipasti plates for our office, see picture ;)

Breakfast itself was good. Unfortunately, we ended up having to pay just under €32 for the Roma breakfast because apparently no drinks were included in the price (although the menu says otherwise). There is no receipt when paying. When asked, the waitress was quite annoyed and had to look for the receipt out of the trash. After a bit of back and forth it was too stupid for us. In the end we were cheated out of almost €15!!! Not recommended RIP-OFF!!!

Breakfast for 2 Yes, the food was delicious, but it had nothing to do with breakfast – the value for money is outrageous. Especially when you had to pay the full price. Eggs from the early morning – cold and hard-boiled. Fresh eggs could have been boiled in just 5 minutes – warm, tasty, organic! Instead, there were seemingly simple boxed eggs from the supermarket. Sliced ​​sausage – so thin you could see through them. The parchment paper is thicker. This had little to do with "specialty," except that it was Italian. Atmosphere? The restaurant initially made a good impression, but a proper greeting seems to be in short supply in this morning business. A simple "Good morning, nice to see you. What can I do for you?" would have been a good start. Coffee – had to be paid for separately, with no prior notice! I'll never forget this rip-off. A hint from the waitress would have been enough. Ham & cheese – 1.5 slices each, as thin as parchment paper. 4 slices of spicy salami. No preferences were asked. Antipasti? Two slices of eggplant, four carrot strips, and a teaspoon of pesto – consisting of basil and oil. 2 slices of tomato with 2 slices of mozzarella. Melon? Four small pieces. Orange marmalade – so sweet that no diabetic can eat it. No questions asked about preferences! "Orange juice" – wasn't orange juice, just nectar. Not freshly squeezed, not even 100% juice from a carton. 0.1-0.2 cl. Like the Prosecco. Butter? A small piece (10 g) for two people. Bread? Two rolls and four thin slices of white bread. Our plates were practically cleared from under our hands, even though we still had bread in our hands. When we asked about the additional costs, the only response was a rude one: "That's our business model here." A smile goes a long way. We had made a reservation and driven a long way, only to be treated like this. Then there were expensive parking fees in the city center. I even drove 50 km to Hanover to spend a few pleasant hours with my companion. But that didn't happen. Thanks for the lovely birthday present. From a customer's perspective, this is pure rip-off – breakfast for nothing! I paid, but pointed out that you have to inform the guest beforehand. After all, you want to retain customers – You really should rethink your offer.

Burnt chicken strips (fried completely dry and then placed on the burnt side. According to the motto: the guest is stupid anyway!). The spaghetti “Bolognese” may have had one (1) tablespoon of Bolognese added to it. The table was spinning like crazy. And the service staff are completely untrained and/or without service experience. The worst case scenario right at the beginning. A lady showed me 2 tables where I could sit. 2 minutes later a young man came: original sound; they are alone. You have to sit here! And points to a small table (max. 2 people) that was in the middle of 5 larger tables. You can't beat the discomfort! Especially since the service staff had to pass me whenever they wanted to go to the surrounding tables and constantly touched or bumped into me with their large wallets. And I had an additional experience that really shocked me; The word "sorry" seems to be absolutely frowned upon in this store! No matter what the situation: an apology.........completely nonexistent!

Today, March 14th, I was back at my favorite restaurant, Bernini. Delicious food. A Margherita pizza. My favorite waiter Seif was back. Always friendly, competent, caring and quick. A recommendation for everyone in Hanover.

It was worth a visit once, but we had probably had better luck before and the quality and service had been better. On our breakfast plate for two people, the pineapple was “overripe to bad” and the antipasti was unappetizing. Even worse: When we politely mentioned it and pointed it out, the waitress responded by saying that her boss had already said that it was the sugar content of the pineapple and that she would pass it on with the mushy zucchini. After that there was no further reaction. The boss who later collected the money from us also showed no reaction. So there will be no further visits for us there.

Went to the “Bernini” yesterday as part of a voucher. Had a menu consisting of a salad, a pizza of your choice and pana cotta. Everything was freshly prepared, high quality and very tasty. Actually, I just wanted to have breakfast and was too lazy to go back to Kröpke. That's when I discovered Bernini, an Italian restaurant that also offers breakfast. Very nice and cozy interior and a really delicious breakfast, almost exactly opposite the opera house. There are difficulties with just salt and pepper🤣, but I noticed it😎. I'll remember that.

The Bellini is a sought-after restaurant in the city center in a great location. Great team that enjoys service, guests and work. The boss is the pole of the restaurant and keeps an eye on everything with charm and friendliness. The place is pulsating and spreads a good atmosphere. In a nutshell: two days on business in Hanover. The Ristorante Bernini is not far from my hotel. I love Italian cuisine. You enter and are greeted warmly. The empathetic and committed service employee called “Safe” gives you a really good feeling after work. The food is fresh and meets my expectations. The other guests are not here for the first time. Regular guests who like to come back are a good sign. On the second day, “Safe” recognizes me and takes just as exemplary care of the other guests and me as his colleagues do. The food is again very appealing. I could leave it at that for now. But there is this young couple with their daughter at the next table. Seeing how this fine little family treats each other is simply heartwarming and rather unusual these days. I think to myself: "Tell me who is eating with you, and I will tell you who you are." I'd love to come back.

We received the €19.99 breakfast from friends as a gift for Saturday. 1 roll + 2 small slices of soggy baguette per person didn't convince the men. The ham, sausage, cheese plate with 2 eggs with cold aubergine/carrot slices, some tomato/mozzarella, a little bit of butter + orange jam with peel for 2 people wasn't it either. Plus a glass of Prosecco and a hot drink. No juice. Of course, additional products were offered immediately. In addition, we only had seats on bar stools. A table that was pushed closed at least saved us being able to place everything on the table. Our neighbors weren't so lucky; there was only one stool for bread. We were also able to overhear how the guests' dishes didn't correspond to the menu. For example, it was missing B. the toasted bread, but there was the soggy baguette.

The food was good with a few little things like olives that could improve it. The service was very bad. They wanted to remove the plates even though we weren't finished yet. When paying we were cheated out of 5 euros (we were simply charged for one more wine). Unfortunately we didn't notice it until later.

My girlfriend and I had breakfast at "Bernini" and shared a "breakfast for two"! It was super delicious, the selection: 2 types of ham, salami, cheese, jam, egg, 1 wheat roll and a few slices of baguette: delicious ! If you want, you can of course order extras! It was enough for us! We ordered a coffee with milk and then a lemonade that we made ourselves

I like to eat there very often. No matter whether it's a morning shift, lunch or dinner, I like almost everything there :). You can have dinner there with the family or have cocktails with friends. Location service ambience top, I can only recommend it.
