Delicious food, good service. Very difficult to get a table spontaneously. It's always best to reserve.

A charming Italian restaurant with a very rustic decor. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food was incredibly delicious and generously topped pizza. I also enjoyed a good house wine. For me, the price was reasonable.

Waited 1 hour and 30 minutes and the food was okay at best.

We had to wait 2 hours and the food wasn't good either.

There were seven of us. The service was a bit spread out, but friendly. If you want tiramisu, order it in advance; it disappears in no time. We didn't know that and poof, it was gone. It wasn't a big deal, though; they had other delicious desserts as well.

Disappointing – never again! I fell for the good reviews. The price-performance ratio was an absolute disaster. The bruschetta consisted of a lot of bread and hardly any topping (maybe a teaspoonful). We had to wait around 40 minutes for the food. The portion for €21.50 was outrageous – for an adult man, it was more of a small appetizer than a main course. For the first time, I didn't leave a restaurant full – we actually went to McDonald's afterwards. Conclusion: That was the first and definitely the last visit.

The service was dismissive and arrogant, the food merely mediocre. After 40 years, it was simply very unusual. We were disappointed.

I'm disappointed with the pizzas. The kids were so excited about their Margherita pizza. This is anything but a Margherita pizza. Dry, with hardly any cheese. The price is outrageous for the dry mini pizzas.

What an excellent, authentic Italian pizzeria! I'm not usually a big fan of eating out, but this is the only place I've ever been that's truly worth a visit. The pizza and pasta are simply delicious, and the staff welcomes guests as if they were beloved family members. There's a wonderful family atmosphere and the coziness of a little Italy. It's often difficult to get a table there in the evenings, but that just confirms everything I described above!

The cuisine is lovingly prepared, authentic, and a real hit in terms of flavor. The ingredients seem fresh, the dishes are well-seasoned, and the portions are generous without being overwhelming. I would particularly like to highlight the homemade pasta – a true treat you rarely find. Anyone who values ​​authentic Italian cuisine will certainly not be disappointed here. The ambiance is quaint and cozy. You immediately feel welcome, as if you were staying with an Italian family. The decor is lovingly chosen, rustic, and features many small details that invite you to linger. It has charm – not overly stylish, but full of character. Perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends or family. The service is a bit mixed. The waitresses were friendly and attentive, but not overly attentive. Everything went well, but the spark of warmth you might expect from a family restaurant like this didn't quite catch on. It was okay—neither bad nor particularly noteworthy. There was a real downside, however: After an excellent meal, in Italian restaurants, you often enjoy a small glass of limoncello on the house—a gesture of hospitality that simply belongs there and rounds off the evening. It was all the more irritating that they charged €4.50 per glass here—after the meal and without any prior notice. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem particularly service-oriented, but rather petty. For me, a clear negative point that left an otherwise very pleasant evening with a somewhat bitter aftertaste. Conclusion: Mama Lisi impresses with excellent cuisine and a charming ambience. Those who value good food in an authentic setting will feel at home here. There's still room for improvement in the service, especially when it comes to small gestures of hospitality. And the limoncello? This should simply be standard in a restaurant of this caliber – or at least be clearly communicated as a charge. Despite everything: A culinary delight that I can generally recommend – with a small note on the bill.

I was incredibly disappointed.....I've been going there or we've been going there for soooo many years. Current: -Appetizer plate: There were some pickled products from the jar, bruschetta tomatoes with no taste, some of the quality was very simple, less and more authentic Italy would have been nicer -Pizza: The base somehow didn't taste freshly prepared in our opinion, we had 3 different ones and there was a cheese topping between the base and the topping??? -Lasagna: taste of ready-made product, far too much dough not balanced and too much spice without definition, what was that? -Dessert: Honestly, was it homemade? For many, many years we, why we...several people from my circle of friends, were there regularly. Unfortunately dad gone, mom gone... love of food gone. Prices absolutely okay... but products don't correspond to the price. Please raise prices, use higher quality raw materials and cook like you used to. HOMEMADE was your love for Italian cuisine. Where are the homemade noodles? That was the last time we visited, there were four of us and friends from two weeks ago were two...Neither to see nor to taste. That's a real shame after such a long tradition. What hasn't changed is the original charm of the restaurant, which I absolutely love about you. The last time I was there was over 20 years ago. Almost nothing has changed and the food is divine! We definitely won't wait another 20 years!!!

The Pizza Mama Lisi (spinach pizza with spinach dough) was really delicious! All pizzas had a crispy dough and were generously topped. The prices are great, especially for the quality. The Italian desserts were also delicious. The service was friendly and you immediately notice that it is a family business - warm and authentic. The atmosphere is cozy, casual and exactly what you would imagine a traditional Italian family restaurant to be like. You almost feel like you are at home. The small restaurant was very busy, even on a Thursday evening. A reservation is definitely recommended. It can get a bit noisy when there's a lot going on, but that didn't bother us. This is a wonderful place to enjoy with friends or in groups. 😊🍕

I‘ll be back! Best kept secret and I’ll keep it that way. You’ll have to get there yourself to find out why. (Just remember to call first for reservations. Otherwise you might leave again being disappointed bc. all tables taken.)

The first time I ate there was when I did a school internship at the glassworks in 1969 or 1970. My Italian work colleagues recommended it to me. During my studies I lived in Gerresheim and Mama Lisi was basically my living room. A margarita pizza cost the same as a meal in the cafeteria. Later I went there regularly with my husband. We enjoyed every evening. And what can I say? It's still very good! The ambience seems a bit old-fashioned but that also has its charm. Whenever I'm in Düsseldorf every now and then, I continue to eat at Mama Lisi's! There is no better pizza than there and all of the pasta dishes are highly recommended.

I invited people there on the occasion of my birthday and didn't regret it. My guests were also positively impressed. Redeeming a voucher from the gourmet block was no problem either. I had experienced it differently before. (Elsewhere) The food was great and the price-performance ratio was right. The only downside is cash payment only! That always leaves a bit of a taste.

I had positive expectations. Unfortunately, these were not really fulfilled. I had steamed hake fillet, which was really small and thin with a thick bone in the middle, which is normal, but the biggest thing was the puffed up aluminum foil, without a potato, without vegetables, just a small side dish of salt, which was very vinegar-heavy and over 20€?Especially with steamed fish you could simply steam some vegetables and a potato. I thought the price-performance ratio was very good here, but that seemed a bit like window dressing when you have to pay extra for all the side dishes. That means I really didn't get full and then had to order dessert, which was also a small portion. Spending over €30 and not leaving the restaurant full is great! Sorry🤷

A cozy little restaurant with traditional Italian dishes. I've eaten at this restaurant several times and it's always been very good. The food is fresh and of a high quality. The service is very nice and quick.

Cute little restaurant, totally inconspicuous on the street. Beautiful from the outside in an old building from 1892, with great wine hanging over the entrance and windows. It's best to reserve a table, the hut was very full and well attended during the week. Vitello tonnato was very tasty. The pizza had plenty of toppings, and for my taste the dough could have been a little thinner. It was very crispy. But please change your knives. It was very, very difficult to cut the pizza into pieces with your knives. Prices for drinks were cheap for Düsseldorf. The service was quick and extremely friendly. When you enter the restaurant, time really stands still 😁 Highly recommended

We visited Mama Lisi for the first time on Sunday. We admired the restaurant from the outside. It looked very comfortable. When we walked into the restaurant we were greeted warmly. The interior design was also very cute. The food was simply excellent. Everyone at the table ordered a different main course so we were able to try each one and all four of us were thrilled. The dessert was also very good. There are also off-menu desserts. The tiramisu was my personal highlight ;) We're happy to make our way from Dortmund to eat again at Mama Lisi's. We were there for the second time yesterday and left thrilled again! Very nice service, fair prices and amazingly delicious food - what more could you want? There were four of us, 2x pizza, once veal schnitzel and once pasta - so once across the bed and: everything was great. Thank you very much and hopefully see you soon!

We were lucky and got a table without a reservation. After that there was nothing more to do. Everyone was nice and the pizzas were really tasty.

The oven was broken, so instead of preparing you for a long wait, you didn't say a word and let yourself wait. I don't understand the hype about this pizzeria. The pizza is mediocre and the service is bad.

Had dinner there for the first time with a friend. The starter, Vitello Tonnato, very tasty and our pizzas were also very, very tasty! And what's not usual is that they are also available in smaller sizes, which leaves enough room for a starter or dessert. The wine is served and drunk in clay vessels, the service is very nice and attentive. The decor feels like you've been transported back to the 60s/70s and a few employees from the glassworks come over for a chat! So it works without stylish black/white photos and great lighting, which shouldn't speak against it. My conclusion as someone who really enjoys cooking and often Italian, I would love to come back!!!

It tasted very good. Salad great, pizza great, tagliatelle great, only the tortellini could have added a few more, the casserole dish was very small. Otherwise, everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Typical Italian cuisine and by this I mean not Germanized, at least for the dishes I saw. I had pasta and beans, far from how I remember it in my family, but I must say that it was spiced well, with the slices of bread it was truly delicious. Spaghetti with pistachio pesto and shrimp, it was a nice plate of spaghetti. Fried anchovies, good and in a decent number... not 4 like I've had elsewhere. The environment is not very large, but welcoming. Maybe it can be useful to know that only one person answers the phone so if you want to book, arm yourself with patience and try, try and try....

Alles wunderbar, bis auf die Wartezeit für das Essen! Da sind 1,5 Std.einfach zu lange! Man muss aber sagen,das dass Restaurant komplett besetzt war! Essen war trotzdem sehr,sehr lecker und reichlich! Kleines Manko: Die Toiletten und der Weg dorthin könnten mal renoviert werden! Insgesamt aber sehr zufrieden!

Es handelt sich hier um eine kleine Pizzeria im Trattoria Stil. Wir haben Pizzen bestellt, Pizzabrötchen und Wein. Die Speisen waren alle sehr frisch. Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Eingang wird gekrönt von Trauben pflanzen. Das macht ordentlich Ambiente. Der Laden war voll, und das bedeutet in der Regel, dass die Kundschaft mit dem Essen sehr zufrieden ist. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Unglaublich unfreundlich. Essen außer Haus wegen zu viel Gästen nicht möglich! Keine Möglichkeit zum warten oder später abholen kommen. Wärend Corona haben sie und angebettelt das wir unser Essen dort bestellen und abholen! Wie die Zeit sich ändert - augenscheinlich geht es der Gasto doch jetzt wieder super, das die so mit Ihren Gästen umgehen. Uns sehen die da nicht mehr wieder!

Wir haben im Hotel in der Nähe übernachtet und sind - glücklicherweise - über dieses kleine, aber sehr feine Restaurant gestolpert. Wirklich gute Pizza, zu sehr moderaten Preisen, von richtig netten Mitarbeitern gebacken und serviert! Ein schönes Familienessen in angenehmer Atmosphäre! Bei Gelegenheit wieder!

Wir waren schon ein paar Mal in diesem wirklich schönen und authentisch italienischem Restaurant, jedes Mal mit Reservierung, da das Lokal aus guten Grund sehr gut besucht ist. Es ist wirklich gemütlich hier, der Service ist zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich und das Essen ist einfach ein Gedicht. Super frisch und lecker. Mein Highlight ist die Pizza mit dem grünen Boden. Diesen kann man übrigens für jeden Belag wählen. Ganz toll. Bezahlt wird bar. Wer mit dem Auto anreist sollte etwas Zeit für die Parkplatzsuche einkalkulieren.

Zum Service können wir aktuell nichts sagen, da wir Pizza zum mitnehmen bestellt hatten und an der Theke gewartet haben. Die Pizza aber war sehr lecker. Ich würde sogar so weit gehen und sagen, dass es einer der besten Pizzen in Düsseldorf ist. Einen sehr guten und knusprigen Teig und der verwendete Käse ist sehr aromatisch. Auch sonst ist die Pizza gut belegt. Die Einrichtung des Lokals ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, aber nicht ungemütlich. Das Restaurant war an dem Abend ausgebucht, obwohl es unter der Woche war. Was mich aber auch nicht wundert, wenn der Rest der Karte auch so gut ist wie die Pizza.

Es gibt hier italienisches Essen in Perfektion soweit ich das beurteilen kann. Ohne Schnörkel, einfach nur köstlich. Es handelt sich um ein alt eingesessenes Familienunternehmen, die Bedienung ist einfach nur freundlich, man fühlt sich willkommen. Empfehlung? Alles! Bitte unbedingt reservieren - auch unter der Woche. PS Das Interieur ist nicht das neueste, aber uns ist das Essen wichtig, das zählt hier!

Eine sehr urige und einfach eingerichtete Trattoria aber das Ambiente und das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker. Preislich angemessen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Auswahl einfach fantastisch. Die Parkplatzsuche erweist sich ein wenig schwierig aber dafür kann die Trattoria nichts. Gerne wieder und danke für den Service und das tolle Essen.

Existiert seit 1960. Einrichtung wurde nicht verändert. Ein Stück italienische / Düsseldorf Gerresheim Kultur. Gerresheimer Glashütte.

Waren heute hier mit 4 jähriger Tochter. Alles war perfekt. Meine Tochter hat sogar einen Schokoladen Weihnachtsmann geschenkt bekommen. Pizza #22 war super lecker. Salat mit Thunfisch und Ei auch sehr gut.

Alles Top, aber ich bin Italiener und habe gemerkt, dass die Karte für deutschen Geschmack ist.

Beste Pizza auf Spinatbasis, die ich bisher gegessen habe. Seit weit über 20 Jahren gilt das auf dem Boden gebliebene Mama Lisi als der beste Italiener in Düsseldorf, ohne auch nur den Hauch von Schickimicki. Das Tiramisu ist Weltspitze. Unbedingt reservieren, sonst kein Platz.

Das Essen war, wie immer, sehr gut. Der Service gut, freundlich und sehr schnell. Und der Laden war voll. Das Ambiente ist rustikal, passt zum Konzept. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Reservierung unbedingt notwendig.

Sowohl von außen als auch von innen ein schöner Laden, wobei die Plätze vorne etwas gemütlicher sind als hinten Richtung Küche. Man wird herzlich empfangen, sehr nettes Personal. Wartezeit war kurz, das Essen (zwei Pizzen) kamen schnell. Der Hauswein wird schön in einer Karaffe serviert und schmeckt hervorragend, sowie das originale Peroni aus Bella Italia. Die Pizzen waren lecker, wobei der Rand sehr nach Käsebrötchen geschmeckt hat. Ist wahrscheinlich Geschmacksache, aber meins war’s nicht. Auch sonst ist die Pizza zwar lecker, aber keine die hervorsticht. Ich kann die Pizza empfehlen, ist aber für mich nicht die erste Wahl. Vermutlich auch nicht top 10 in Düsseldorf. Aber dennoch hatten wir einen schönen Abend und leckere Pizzen bei hervorragendem Service.
