Delicious food, although a bit pricey compared to oriental dishes in the region

Everything was perfect. Delicious food, beautiful aesthetics, everything prepared with great care, and the team was very professional. The price was a bit high, but it was worth it! A wonderful experience.

We called an hour beforehand to ask if we needed a reservation, and the woman told us we could just come by. But then, when we arrived, we were treated incredibly rudely and seated at the worst table, even though the whole restaurant was empty. The male waiter was extremely unfriendly the entire time!

Food was delicious, very tasty and more than enough

The food was delicious, and the service team was consistently attentive and friendly. Reservations are highly recommended. Since it's located right in the city center, finding parking can be a bit of a gamble, especially on weekends.

Food was generally good. The chicken was a bit tasteless, but the seafood was enjoyable. Drinks took a long time to be served—about 30 minutes. The place was very crowded and noisy, though the ambience was nice. Service was disappointing: the initial lady waiter struggled to understand and take orders, and the waiter who replaced her was rude and ignorant. Our food was eventually served in about an hour.

We ordered on Sunday and both vomited all night until early morning. There must have been something rotten in the food. Absolutely disgusting.

Beautiful restaurant where you can eat traditional thai food

We had reserved a table for six people for 8:00 PM yesterday evening. After a prior phone call about a delay, we arrived around 8:05 PM and still had to wait at least another 10 minutes, despite our reservation. Otherwise, the food was delicious, as always.

We've booked a table for 18:00. Only when we've arrived to the restaurant we've been told that the table is available only till 20:00. Nevertheless we've decided to stay. However starting from 19:15 the waiter was reminding us every time he was at our table that we have time only till 20:00. Quite annoying. The price for standard if not simple dishes and such a service is definitely too high.

Highly recommended, a respectable place

The three of us ate there yesterday. It was fantastic, as always. The service, the atmosphere, and the delicious Thai food were all excellent. It's our favorite restaurant, and we'll be back soon. Best regards

Since we are very familiar with Thai cuisine, we unfortunately have to say that the food was only just okay. The ambiance, however, is very nice. Unfortunately, that doesn't make up for it when the food (the soup didn't taste good) and the main course were only so-so.

It was a good restaurant in the past, but the ownership has changed, and the food just doesn't taste the same anymore. Furthermore, it has to be said that charging such high prices for Somtam, like on Lieferando, is absolutely outrageous. It's truly shameful. And charging €20 (!!!!) for dishes like Laab with duck or Pad Thai is insane. We're not in Los Angeles, Houston, or New York here. Please get real. Update on November 19, 2025: Prices have escalated even further. See the screenshot from Uber Eats. It's unbelievable to charge €25 for a Pad Krapao or Massaman Curry. Have you lost your minds?

This restaurant is a good example of how a beautifully designed restaurant with visually appealing food can deliver only average quality. You're paying more for the presentation than for the taste.

For many years, dinner here has been a must when visiting Düsseldorf. A wonderful atmosphere with cozy seating, especially at the Thai tables, attentive and friendly service, and a very extensive selection of delicious dishes guarantee a lovely evening. In short: I'll definitely be back!

Nice curries, unfortunately cannot recommend the Pad Thai. No taste. Service was ok. Some of the staff super nice and good English and German and some staff not so good English and German hence many mistakes in order.

The food has drastically lost its flavor intensity! On top of that, there was a piece of glass in my food that almost broke a tooth! After I pointed this out to the server, there was neither an apology nor any attempt to make it up to them! NOT RECOMMENDED!

Formal restaurant, but beautiful interior. Have eaten there several times and keep coming back, very good food with lots of flavor and they adjust the strength to your liking. Recommended for a more formal experience, feel free to take one of the larger menus for a culinary journey.

This traditional Thai restaurant is highly recommended. The deliciously prepared exotic specialties are served exclusively and are a culinary delight. As a regular, I can report consistently high quality. The spice levels can be freely selected from the menu, which features a wide selection. I can also highly recommend the cocktail menu. The staff is very attentive, discreet, polite, and very accommodating. An absolute recommendation in the Düsseldorf area!

The dishes range from good to very, very strange. Vegetarian spring rolls filled with cheese (!?!?!) and the fried cheese balls would have been more at home in a Dutch chip shop. The taste is far removed from Thailand. Other dishes are tasty and the portions are adequate.

Nice ambiance. Friendly service. But what's really bad is that of the ten or so dishes listed under "vegetarian," exactly zero are actually vegetarian. If you specifically ask about allergens, every "vegetarian" dish contains fish, crustaceans, or mollusks. That can be life-threatening in some cases.

This is an attractive restaurants inside with lots of wood and Thai decoration. It gets busy and you do need a reservation. The food is solid, not too spicy even when it says spicy and it's well portioned. The service is differential and pleasant. I always have a enjoyable meal here feels like it's something special. There is almost always a family celebrating some sort of event here.

The food was delicious, and the flavors were incredible. As delicious as the flavors themselves. But the lighting was so dim that it hurt my eyes.

The food is very authentic. The environment is very nice. The fried rice noodles are especially delicious. The dishes and tableware are very beautiful. It is definitely worth a visit.

We arrived shortly before 10 p.m. and asked if we could have a drink outside. They brought us two 0.3-liter glasses of supposedly Paulaner from a bottle (I don't know any 0.3-liter flat Paulaner), and charged us €5 each. In my opinion, it's a disgrace.

I've known Sila Thai for over 12 years now and have visited occasionally. It's pleasing to see that the food and cocktails (which are not to be missed) maintain a high standard. The service is extremely friendly and attentive. You can always find a parking space nearby in the parking garage on Stresemann Straße, which is within walking distance.

Sila Thai is one of my favorite restaurants in Düsseldorf. The food is always delicious, authentic, and fresh. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and you feel welcome every time. The best Thai food in Düsseldorf! Super delicious, and well-priced. The only downside is that the service is sometimes really slow, and given the prices and the general ambiance, you'd expect all the food and drinks to arrive on time!

The food was delicious and the staff extremely friendly. We highly recommend it. We both ordered from the lunch menu. It included a soup, a spring roll, and the main course. You really get a lot of good quality for a reasonable price here.

From the food to the ambience everything was top

It was a dream! Authentic cuisine and ambiance! Highly recommended.

Authentic Thai food, the likes of which are hard to find in Germany. The pictures show the menu for two. Among the appetizers and salads are some real explosions of flavor (until 2024). Unfortunately, the owner seems to have changed. The food is bad, the chicken is dry, the vegetables are undercooked, and there are unavailable items on the menu, such as the mango dessert. The decor features mismatched chair covers. The dishes are no longer Thai. All the waiters don't speak German, are loud, barefoot, and constantly on their phones. Because of this, and the unchanged and no longer justified prices, only two stars instead of the previous five. It's a shame – an institution for Thai food in Europe has been lost here. Would you like to know why?

Simply fantastic! The food is simply exceptional and perfectly seasoned. If it says "spicy," it really is. The portions are generous.

We ate at Sila Thai – a stylish restaurant with a touch of elegance without being overly fancy. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service friendly and attentive. We tried several dishes and were overall very satisfied. The Pad Krapow was beautifully spicy with a pleasantly spicy Thai basil flavor – just as it should be. The kanalen curry surprised us with a slightly sweet note and harmonious coconut aroma, while the Massaman curry was particularly creamy and impressed with its tender meat. A real highlight was the mixed grill satay with peanut sauce – juicy grilled meat, perfectly seasoned. The beef salad was also fresh, slightly spicy, and wonderfully aromatic – ideal as a starter or side dish. All in all, a successful meal with great flavors. If you like Thai cuisine, you'll definitely find what you're looking for here. We'd love to come back!

Great appetizer platters and cocktails

They close at 11pm and we got here at 10pm sharp. They said they are closed but they can get us 3 kind of meals. We said no problem let’s do it since we had a long driving. We had our meals and it wasn’t that good it was normal. And in the end the waitress told us to pay and I asked for the bill so I can pay and he got angry for no reason then I asked again and he told us with anger voice here is the bill and put the tablet on our face to see the bill and that was rude. ⛔️⛔️And we found out later that he charged us for an extra coca-Cola that we did not order. ⛔️⛔️As soon as we left the restaurant we found rats 🐀 walking around the restaurants. I been to a lot of countries with a lot fancy restaurants and I never seen this kind of attitude and service.

I always evaluate the overall package of a restaurant. They clearly want to stand out from the numerous other Asian restaurants in the area and offer upscale Thai cuisine. The ambiance is nice, but very dark due to the abundance of wood. In some places, you can see obvious signs of wear that could be repaired with little effort. The table setting suggests fine dining at first glance. However, I don't understand why a cheap plastic mat is placed over the cloth tablecloth. It detracts from the otherwise high-quality first impression. The service is okay. The greeting was friendly, and the food arrived fairly quickly after ordering. Unfortunately, we weren't asked again during our stay whether everything was okay, and empty drinks were overlooked several times. I would definitely have ordered another drink if the service here had been more attentive. The food tasted okay to good. I was unfortunately disappointed with the mixed satay. The meat, especially the beef, was very dry. A bowl of fuel paste was brought along and lit. Was this supposed to cook the skewers even more? Unfortunately, it was unnecessary. The signature Sila Thai cocktail, served in a pineapple, was very tasty and a surprise. Overall, I probably wouldn't go here again. There are better Asian restaurants in Düsseldorf in terms of value for money.

The price-performance ratio is Düsseldorf standard and, in my opinion, too high. Nevertheless, the dishes are well prepared and very tasty. There are several parking garages in the area.

For me it's still the best Thai restaurant in Düsseldorf. Everything very tasty! I don't understand people who complain about the price, since you can see the prices beforehand. So if you don't want to spend the money, you can go somewhere else.

The Sila Thai Restaurant is an exclusive, upscale Thai restaurant. The restaurant is unusual and lavishly designed and the ambience is reminiscent of luxurious hotels or lodges in Asia. The service is also quite different from other Asian restaurants, as there seems to be a certain amount of training here. The structure of napkins, cutlery, plates, etc. is rehearsed and implemented accurately. The food was very good, we had green Thai curry once with fish and once with duck. The food is priced well above usual prices. Therefore, guests who only compare the taste of the food and the prices with other restaurants will probably not be completely happy. For example, €28 for the green Thai curry with duck would be far too much. But if you are looking for a completely different restaurant experience in an exclusive atmosphere, this is the right place and the price should be appropriate for you. A visit here is absolutely recommended, it is something special.

A very nice restaurant with lovingly designed furnishings. At lunchtime there are dishes between €15 and €18 including a starter. It's not a huge portion, but it fills you up. Homemade iced teas and lemonades are delicious.

Disappointing visit Since we had an event at the Savoy, we chose this restaurant because of its proximity and the good reviews. Unfortunately it was a disappointing stay. Despite having reserved a table, we were completely ignored at the entrance, and after that it took quite a long time until a card arrived (it was 5 p.m. on a Sunday and the restaurant wasn't completely full). Afterwards we were completely ignored again and we had to ask at the counter if there was a chance we could order something. Then someone came. We ordered and it took forever for the drinks and the appetizers to arrive. We had now been in the restaurant for 1.5 hours and the performance started in 30 minutes. We then asked for the main course and then came 3x Pad Thai, which really disappointed us. Mini portion, barely seasoned, almost cold. That shocked me a bit, as Düsseldorf is known for good Asian food. I can only hope they had a bad day, but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Nice restaurant. Attentive and friendly service. The taste of the food is okay. A plate of Tom Kha Gai as a starter. At €13 it's already very expensive. The main course (#62) was extremely disappointing. A handful of glass noodles with sauce, a few snippets of vegetables and five crispy fried (totally dry!!!) strips of chicken breast. And that for 22 euros. Price-performance ratio: a disgrace.

A top location with very tasty dishes! Lots of choice with duck meat, other dishes are unfortunately less represented. There is one big minus point: €8 was charged for a Thai iced tea with milk - absolutely outrageous!!!

The service was very chaotic, I (and one other person from our table) was served the wrong dish (even though the dish number was written down correctly!). The staff couldn't communicate in German and didn't know exactly what they were serving. I don't know what kind of dish I ended up eating, but it wasn't to my liking. Never had such a horrible mango sticky rice in my life! Only mango is good.. Pad thai noodles are below average. You are giving such a good ambience in a good location then please do serve some authentic thai dishes at least the famous mango sticky rice as people know about this.

Sila Thai is a real experience. The service is totally courteous and you immediately feel at home. Everything tasted really delicious and the price-performance ratio is also very positive for what you get. All in all, a 10/10!

Unfortunately a disappointing experience... The restaurant was once one of the most recommended restaurants in the city, especially for a culinary experience. What's left of it is the furnishings. The portions are reduced by almost half while the price increases. Instead of beef, we were brought chicken. The cocktails we ordered were forgotten - only arrived when asked for the main course. Ordered 1 dessert, 2 were brought… So I don't know what else to say about that Just very disappointing after the takeover

The atmosphere was incredibly warm and calming, the entire space was Thai themed and it felt like a portal into a different world. A bit of Thailand in the middle of Düsseldorf. The staff were very friendly and kind, struggling with German at times so make it easy for everyone and converse in English if possible. Also try to present them with the numbers instead of meal names. They seemed very busy but nonetheless: helpful, kind and friendly at all times. You might have to wait a bit for your food to arrive, but when it does~ you will be overwhelmed with the delicious warm goodness on your plate. The food is very well seasoned, delicious and fresh. I enjoyed every bite of my fried rice and dessert. Pictures 1 & 2 are coded 64 and 158. Bring a lot of openness and curiosity with you when dining here. You will be brought into a world of delicious flavours and warmth. 10/10 would recommend! ✨
