A very good, lovely, small restaurant. I've been there several times now and recently celebrated my birthday there. The restaurant's interior is beautiful, with lots of greenery and a relaxed atmosphere. In addition, the food is really delicious, in my opinion. There's a good all-you-can-eat buffet, and you can also have raw fish, raw meat, raw seafood, etc., freshly cooked and brought to your table. The service is also very good and friendly. My sister and I even received a small souvenir on our birthday, including a sparkler, a rendition of "Happy Birthday," and a complimentary cocktail. I highly recommend the Bamboo Garden at Düsseldorf Airport and will definitely be back.

I traveled from Warsaw, Poland, to Düsseldorf on business and stumbled upon this restaurant near the airport at lunchtime. I can wholeheartedly recommend it! Even before I entered the restaurant, I noticed how many guests were coming and going – that definitely reinforced my decision to eat there. I opted for the buffet at €16.90. Such value for money is truly rare in Europe these days. Even in Poland, where the average income is lower, I've hardly seen anything comparable. I was particularly impressed by the freshness and quality of the ingredients. There's a wide selection of vegetables, salads, fruits, and fish – all products that tend to be quite expensive in Europe – and they're available in ample quantities. That's by no means a given. Amazingly, I was even able to enjoy strawberries and watermelon in December – a level of quality usually found in 4-star hotels. During my visit, the staff was very busy, but at the same time, always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. During my short but busy lunch break, I felt relaxed and well taken care of. A particularly positive aspect is that no one is immediately asked to pay upon entering the restaurant – a nice sign of trust towards the guests. It's clear: I will definitely come back on my next visit to Düsseldorf.

All-you-can-eat buffet with a classic selection of dishes. Dessert and sushi were rather limited and nothing special. The greenhouse in which the restaurant is located creates a unique atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly. Even when it's busy, it's not too noisy. I'd gladly go back!

Before our flights to Fuerteventura, we always stay overnight at the Airport Lounge Hotel. For years, it's been a cherished tradition for us to enjoy a delicious meal in the lovely atmosphere of the Bamboo Garden restaurant right next door. We always help ourselves to the incredibly diverse and tasty buffet. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. The prices are perfectly reasonable and very appropriate for the overall experience. We'll definitely be back! 🙏🍽👍

The food is exquisite and sumptuous.

An old greenhouse has been converted into a restaurant, preserving the ambiance with its trees. Be aware that people over 1.80m tall will have to duck because of the plants, but I don't see that as a negative point.

I always love coming here! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. We occasionally bring our daughter (10 months old) and she immediately gets a highchair, a toy car, and lots of attention :) Besides that, the food is fantastic and the selection is amazing. We love it and come back regularly :)

We've been going to the Bambusgarten for almost 20 years. Always delicious, always consistently good quality. Best beef fillet with onions ever! The Mongolian grill also gets 10/10 points. We love coming here.

Unassuming from the outside, the buffet features smaller portions, but the food is always fresh. The ambiance with real trees is interesting. We'll be happy to return.

An old nursery and greenhouse with beautiful trees inside. Great location near Düsseldorf Airport; it's our first choice when we stay overnight. Classic Chinese restaurant with a good selection, inviting you to linger, even beyond the food.

Good and fresh food. The selection for separate preparation is small, but also very good. The chef at the grill knows his craft. The sushi is freshly prepared and of good quality. Conclusion: Recommended

There were six of us at the breakfast buffet, so the selection was meager; there were no ordinary shrimp or fish. The sushi was certainly edible, but like everything else, there was very little. The interior, while very nice, also needs some cleaning. We probably won't be back.

Today, after a long absence, I went to the all-you-can-eat buffet at the Bamboo Garden. The quality is still very impressive, and the food was, as always, consistently excellent! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I always enjoy coming here.

It was simply wonderful and pleasant to be there. I celebrated my husband's birthday there with him. A super-friendly waiter helped me a lot with the preparations and even sang with me. A truly wonderful gesture from him. The food was also delicious and varied. It was simply a wonderful day there.

The buffet offers a small but fine selection. The location is intriguing; it must have been an old greenhouse. Everything was fresh and very tasty. The a la carte dishes served by our neighbors also looked more than delicious. A good and fair option for the price 😋

The lunch buffet is okay—good. The ambiance is a bit like a swimming pool or a sauna. The floor is sometimes very slippery, so you have to be careful not to slip. I personally think the option to choose raw meat, which is prepared in front of you according to your wishes, is very good.

Do not go here if you’re from the UK! We stopped by here while passing through and we had one of the worst restaurant experiences ever. First of all, nobody spoke a word of english, which is understandable, but even asking if we could sit outside was like drawing blood from a stone. We were finally served drinks 20 mins after sitting down. When we went to pay i was billed €55 and i put down €60 and the woman was demanding more money for whatever reason, obviously she thought i was just a tourist. The whole thing really was a strange experience, wouldn’t recommend at all. And the food was totally mediocre, not bad, just not great either. in conclusion, the restaurant seems like a place for german/chinese speaking people and anyone outside that doesn’t matter to them. Avoid

This is my favorite restaurant! It has seafood, buffet, live cooking, sushi, desserts, ice cream, multiple drinks, and so much more. Everything is delicious—I absolutely love it!

The food is delicious, I like it when the selected food is fried on site, but it's a no-go for me when shark is offered, which is why I only give it 3 stars.

There's even something for me to eat, even though I can't stomach typical Chinese food. The prices are very reasonable. I like the interior. It could be a bit more welcoming, but as I said, it's crowded... Although there were always a lot of people there when I was there, it's rarely too loud. The service is very friendly.

08/15 Mongolia. The sushi with Greten, much warmer inside than outside (35 degrees Celsius outside), was filled with fans everywhere, making it even hotter. The meat, which was prepared in a small open kitchen, wasn't refrigerated, and the restaurant stank because coffee powder had been lit right over the meat. Of course, the famous Mongolian cake buffet with strawberry cake and vanilla ice cream couldn't be missed! The floor tiles in the entrance area were severely damaged, and what was probably a very nice ambiance was completely outdated.

Delicious food, very friendly staff, and, what's more: dining in the old greenhouse :-) We love coming here!

We were there on a Friday evening and had no problem getting a seat. The ambiance is really nice, with all the plants, trees, and bamboo sticks. It's quiet and not as chaotic as other all-you-can-eat restaurants. The selection isn't as large as expected, but they have all the Asian classics, a small selection of sushi, a fresh vegetable and meat section for frying that's also perfectly fine, and a small fruit and cake counter. Everything tastes okay. Nothing outstandingly good, but not bad. The price/performance ratio is perfectly acceptable. The ice cream is very good! We'll be back.

For me, this is the best Chinese buffet for miles around. Always fresh, consistent quality, and a huge selection. Everything tastes absolutely delicious. The Mongolian food is also a highlight—but much better than anything else I've tried. Nothing can compare to the taste of the Bamboo Garden. Great value for money and a great atmosphere in the old greenhouse. It's worth driving 30 minutes from Velbert for. ☺️

One drawback, and hence one star deduction: the strawberries weren't washed properly. As a result, there were small flies on them, some of which were even moving around. We politely informed the restaurant about this and hope that the problem has been resolved.

First of all, you don't have to wait, the food is freshly prepared and ready to serve. Great variety, all-inclusive self-service menu. You pay 25 euros, you eat whatever you want and as much as you want. I recommend.

The food is great. Unfortunately the service is poor as a black lady is coming there. I felt some hostility. There was also a clear difference how Caucasian customers were welcomed and treated compared to myself. Food was just dumped on the table, nobody helped me to take me to the table, when asking a question, not trying to understand me. A place i will never go again.

We had dinner in the Bamboo Garden with a few colleagues on April 5th, 2025. The table was reserved in advance, and we can only recommend a reservation. We ate from the buffet, with a wide selection and of very good quality. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Reasonably priced too. Two notes: 1) At lunchtime the restaurant is completely closed between 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. So you should plan enough time for the buffet at lunchtime and be there early. 2) We only missed small spoons / teaspoons, which would be ideal for eating dessert or ice cream. All in all, we can only recommend the bamboo garden.

Always super friendly. Food is always refilled immediately. From here on out, you have to wait for service for a second/third drink order. A little louder when the restaurant is busy, but that's normal since it's an old greenhouse. Sweater is not recommended as it is always very warm, even for my wife. Children are of course welcome. We always enjoy going there.

Show me a tree that's in a restaurant! Exactly, the Bamboo Garden is a unique restaurant and a visual eye-catcher. More modern than other Chinese restaurants in the country. The standard dishes were like any all-you-can-eat restaurant. But for the price of €24, it's reasonable.

The only cheap buffet in Düsseldorf that I found. Everything tastes good. It's worth the money.
