Cozy but a bit noisy (which is normal in a mall). However, the food used to be better.

Great ambience and really excellent food. Great and attentive service. I can't understand the negative comments from the arrogant, grumpy reviewers here... After all, a hello and a please and thank you are always appropriate and always lift the relaxed mood among the staff. And yes, this first-name culture is really well received! Keep it up, dear ones!

The Balducci breakfast was excellent. Everything was fresh and delicious. The scrambled eggs were a very large tasty portion. The coffee is full-bodied. The staff was courteous. There's nothing to complain about. We have been coming back for years and the quality is consistent. Keep it up!

Cheesecake €7, pasta with butter for kids €11, vitello €16, osaft over €7. What's that supposed to mean? And that with the “service”? Just to laugh...

Everyone can find something good to eat here. Everything is presented very attractively and you eat and drink in an atmosphere that almost makes you forget that you are sitting in a shopping center.

Since when do you sit down as a waitress (male, strong, black curls and stubble) while guests are waiting to be able to order at peak meal time in the restaurant to eat first...?! When cashing out, he asked for a tip and said when the money was rounded up on the table, “Should I wait until there is more…?) And this basic “dozen” of significantly older guests is also an absolute no-go! I've been a regular here for years, but I've never experienced such brazen behavior!!!

It used to be better... The bread with salmon and avocado was delicious but the avocado cream tasted sour! The selection of cheese was very ordinary. Overall, nothing special. The service not attentive. Balducci has the potential to be as good as he once was if someone really cared. Since many guests still go, the quality no longer seems to be a priority. Thanks anyway for the hospitality.

It's a shame that we can't rate the food this time because we didn't get any. The staff shortage in the catering industry was clearly felt here. The waiter responsible for us really tried hard, was quick and hard-working and very friendly despite the stressful guests. But it couldn't be done. Too many occupied tables, too few staff. So it wasn't any fun.

The four of us were at Balducci shortly after it opened today. Nice decor, toilet was clean, breakfast was good but nothing special and actually a lot expensive. When we took the order, the waitress gave the impression that she didn't care about us at all - that could happen, we're all just human. The description of the “Balducci” breakfast is extremely irritating because it says that it is for two people or more because it is so big (statement from the waitress). I understand that you can only order breakfast if you have two people eating it, this is not the case - it has to be ordered by two people at the table for €17.90 each. Misunderstandings can happen, a “better” explanation would be good here. My husband doesn't eat meat and therefore asked whether it was possible to exchange the meat for more salmon and, if necessary, more egg - the waitress had a few difficulties understanding this at first - no problem, but then said that it was possible. It wasn't, the kitchen was super inflexible and didn't want to adjust the breakfast for me, so I had to reorder. On the menu there was a “fresh mint-ginger-lemon tea” and a “ginger-lemon tea”, which I ordered - but got the mint tea. I let my tea go back and it was clear from the interaction with the waiter that she thought I should have expressed myself better, because she commented "The GREEN tea?" In fact, it's not my job as a guest to formulate a drink if it says “ginger lemon” on the menu. While we were having breakfast, we weren't even asked if everything was okay or if we had any wishes, although I complain about that in many places. My girlfriend and I had the cheese breakfast, so the corresponding rolls were put together in a bread basket - two “real” rolls and three types of bread with 3 slices each, that can't be right, since her husband had two slices of each type of bread, so that's why We would have had to have four slices of each type - small-minded, but that's what we pay for. All in all, we were all pretty disappointed and decided that it was the first and last time we would visit this store. Our visit was rounded off with the fact that we had to go to the front to pay because the waitress didn't show up after clearing away the food. I would like to mention that I worked as a waiter for 10 years and know that there is a different way. I would also like to add that we didn't give a tip, which was very unpleasant for me, but I also don't see the point of tipping for "taking the order, bringing the food and clearing it away", I find the selection for the tip amount on the card machine as inappropriate.

Cappuccino is good, the chesse cake was also delicious.

The waiters didn't know the menu properly and after a mistake the guest was blamed. After we got the food we were ignored so we had to go to the checkout to pay. At that moment I was still thinking about whether I wanted to leave a tip, but when it was pointed out to me when I was paying with a card that I could give the tip without anything coming from me, the thought disappeared. I tip when I'm happy with the service and not when I'm pressured to do so... After I logically didn't tip, the waitress didn't say another word. No farewell, not even asked if I wanted the receipt. Seriously, I have better service at every bakery where I get a sandwich for 3-4€... In the end I paid 37€ for 2 people and I wasn't really full...

Nice atmosphere, delicious food. Often very full and the staff are usually very friendly, sometimes a bit overwhelmed. Still a nice place for a relaxing break during your shopping trip! Always my pleasure!

We only had coffee there, service was great at first and then we didn't see it again. No additional business done. Something was wrong with the sun shining in, but very nicely furnished and clean

At first glance it seems upscale. We were greeted in a friendly manner, but after we received our order at the table we were ignored, even though it wasn't completely full. After an eternity of waiting, we went to the cashier to pay our bill. We weren't allowed there - they said we would let the colleague in question know and she would come to the table. So we had to wait again. When the blonde young waitress came, she didn't even ask if it was tasty. Before paying, a display appeared on the EC device with various amounts of tips that could have been given or the "No tip" button, which I pressed... There was no receipt and the waitress didn't say anything. Even when I said "bye" nothing came back... no way!! I was glad I didn't tip her, who knows if she would have even thanked me! Our small berry tart (for almost 5 euros) and small cappuccino (also almost 5 euros) were tasty, but for the price it could be even better.. And then this service...! There is real potential in this atmosphere.

ATTENTION, TRICKING: Older women (my mother) were tricked into dishes using leading questions. Listen carefully when ordering! If the waiter asks “and how would you like your egg” the egg is not included. It costs extra. Always ask again. So that no one will fall for it anymore ;)

Actually wanted to come here for breakfast. We took a table directly at the serving counter. Breakfast preparation inevitably observed. Most of the breakfast plates are served without gloves. This means: Cheese, ham, pieces of cream cheese or vegetables/salad are packed onto the tray without gloves. What is particularly noticeable is that the lady who prepares breakfast touches her nose several times during preparation and then puts the breakfast ingredients on the plates without gloves. We then decided on warm food that the lady didn't prepare... But for hygiene reasons it's an absolute NO GO - such behavior actually deserves zero stars. But it's good to see that some of the others in the kitchen are wearing gloves when preparing the food. Since hygiene and hygienic behavior is an absolute minimum standard in the catering industry, I unfortunately cannot give more than one star. The ambience and service are good and were given a better star rating. The behavior urgently needs to be changed.

Nice decor with comfortable seating. The service is also pleasant and the food is beautifully prepared and tastes delicious. Nevertheless, in combination with the price, it is not optimal, so 4 stars are appropriate. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit.

I won't come here a third time Waiters all make faces It really takes forever until you finally get served (the store wasn't very busy) Then you get a non-carbonated cola plus a pasta pomodoro with raw noodles and a tomato sauce that is not edible because it is WAY TOO HOT (asked beforehand about spicy or standard without hot) I rarely have moments like this where I'm so upset and wish I hadn't entered that store.

I had dinner there yesterday. I had the chanterelle pasta, which I can definitely recommend to anyone who likes mushrooms :) The menu reads well and there is something for everyone.

For 2 people, 2 slices of cheese and a piece of brie is simply not enough, the brie was still dry on the edge, so not freshly cut. A waiter was called and he brought a new piece, but it wasn't any better. Smoked salmon was simply carelessly thrown whole onto the plate. The salami already had a brown edge. The scrambled egg was in the pan for too long because it was already brown in many places. We felt like we had the leftovers from the day before. When the waiter asked when paying if everything was ok, I told him that we had eaten much better here. Then he just turned around and left 🤷🏻 Ps. Since I'm a chef, I think I can rate the food very well. It's a shame that our breakfast was such a failure. We've had breakfast there several times now. In our opinion, the food has deteriorated significantly and unfortunately the price and performance are no longer in an appropriate relationship. We also had, among other things: Unfortunately the glasses smell like rags. But the service was friendly.

Witnessing a very disgusting 'chef' cooking the omelette with such boredom and somehow anger. Trowhing and twisting the plates on top of the counter with such anger to be served. More to that, grapping the cheeses and the coldcuts with his hands and throwing them on the plates like serving dogs. Disgraceful. The waitress noticed and actually were laughing at the chef attitude instead! However, almost 40Euro for trash breakfast! Dry cheeses and old stuffed ham thrown all over the place!

Unfortunately we can no longer recommend it in terms of service, we used to like going there.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Alster shopping center. Always busy but not enough to have a nice dinner. Solid quality Italian cuisine. Recommended for a small snack and an after-work beer after a shopping trip.

Update I was now a guest there and had to experience how one employee attacked the other massively. That was almost threatening for the other colleague. When I sat down, my table was only cleared of my predecessor's crumbs after I asked. No, I don't want to go there anymore. I wasn't a guest there, I'm just evaluating the behavior of a waiter. He sat down on the bench outside to smoke, so far so good, but then he just throws his butt on the floor, which is bad enough in itself, but he didn't turn it off either!!! A mother with a stroller wanted to sit on the bench where the cigarette butt continued to smell, she then got up again and continued walking. Totally anti-social, just use an ashtray.

I have never been insulted by a waitress in such subtle racist terms anywhere as in this store. I have eaten in this shop many times, but never again!

We were there during the week, there wasn't much going on and we experienced the following: We ordered a coffee and a cappuccino from the young lady. So she went to the serving station and got both prepared. The young lady then didn't take the cups by the handle, but rather touched the cup with her fingers where our lips would hang on it a moment later. It was particularly spicy because the young lady adjusted and scratched her bra strap under her blouse while waiting for our drinks. It was pretty disgusting and extremely unhygienic!!!! This is exactly how diseases are transmitted! The drinks were good. The SERVICE should definitely be trained, put 6!

Mit dem Ton kann er auf dem Feld arbeiten aber nicht in einem Restaurant. Und dann noch pöbeln und frech werden, weil ihm 27 Euro Trinkgeld nicht reichen. In meiner Firma wäre er geflogen, wenn er so mit Kunden umgeht. Wir sind oft dort mit der Familie aber nun das letzte Mal.

But he was serious and got pissed (we finally got something). Food was okay, but nothing more. The restaurant suffers from the influence of the shopping center. More for lunch than for a cozy evening.

Eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre mit einem gemütlichen Ambiente. Die Torten- sowie Kuchen Auswahl war sehr ansprechend. Wir hatten einen Karamell Brownie, den ich so noch nie gegessen hatte und ein Blaubeertörtchen. Hervorragend ! Wir kommen gerne wieder! Schade das die Bedienungen nicht so freundlich waren.

Sehr laut, sehr teuer (0,4 cola 5,60 €, spritz 9,50€), die nette cafe Fläche im Center durfte nicht benutzt werden—- und der Kellner mit dem schwarzen Vollbart lässt den Gast seine Verachtung spüren, wenn man die Rechnung bestellt.🙄—- und die cola kam im offenen Glas und wurde aufgefüllt … 😖…Vorstadtbräuche?

Ich bin immer wieder gerne hier, das Essen ist sehr gut, die Getränkeauswahl auch und dazu kommt noch eine unglaublich nette Bedienung. Jedesmal wenn ich im AEZ bin ist es ein muss hier zu essen und zu entspannen .Danke

Wir waren im Oktober im Balducci im AEZ, weil Gosch leider geschlossen war. Uns wurde gleich gesagt, dass wir uns beeilen müssten, was uns um 19:15 Uhr schon überrascht hat. Meine Frau hat einen Salat bestellt und wollten dazu Bruschetta, dass war leider schon aus, gleiches galt für die Panini! Wir haben uns dann für Penne Arrabiata, Carbonara und Tagliatelle mit Gambas entschieden. Das Essen kam recht schnell. Leider war der Salat ohne Dressing und auch sonst sehr langweilig. Auf die Frage, ob es zum Salat noch etwas Brot gibt, wurde dieses sehr unfreundlich verneint! Die Carbonara schwammen in Öl und die Tagliatelle waren sehr geschmacksarm. Einzig die Arrabiata waren okay. Die Preise sind für die schlechte Küche deutlich zu hoch und der Service war insgesamt unfreundlich. Wir können von einem Besuch nur abraten und kommen sicher nicht wieder!

Balducci ist immer wieder einen Abstecher wert. Das Brot ist super lecker und die Gerichte auch. Ambiente und Service waren bei mir bisher immer super. Ist es ein edles Restaurant mit fine dining? Nein. Es ist einfach ein netter Italiener für zwischendurch und dafür macht Balducci alles richtig.

Ein Restaurant, das einem auch fernab der Karte die Spaghetti so serviert, wie man sie liebt: Alio olio mit Chiliflocken, hat sicherlich in Punkto Küche alles richtig gemacht! Wir kommen dort in unregelmäßigen Abständen seit Jahren und sind jedes Mal sehr zufrieden!

Leute Leute Leute... so eine tolle interessante Speisekarte- aber die Küche kommt im Druck überhaupt nicht mit klar! Pizza nicht gut- danach Nudeln alla Arrabiata kalt!! kein Sorry oder Entschuldigung.. Das war schon mal besser! Viel besser! hatte mich auf ein gutes Essen gefreut- die Küche feuert die Pfannen aus 1 Meter unter den Tisch, bei offener Küche! Der Geräuschpegel ist schlimmer als irgendwo anders! Die Speisen kommen lieblos oder kalt aus der Küche- der Service ist OK- mehr aber nicht. Mich & Family seht Ihr bestimmt 2 Jahre nicht wieder, es sei denn ich werde dahin entführt- Sorry war nicht gut! Weinauswahl & Speisekarte sind allerdings Top- müsst Ihr nur umsetzen!!

Essen solide. Sehr breites Angebot, in der offenen Küche zubereitet. Getränke “Standard”. Preise sind auf Poppenbüttel angepasst. Beim Service ist es ein wenig Glück. Es gibt ein paar Service Kräfte die wissen was sie tun und es gibt leider auch bocklose Kollegen. Und leider einen Chef (?) der die Angestellten runter macht vor den Gästen. Ich lass das mal unbewertet…

Mein Frühstück war sehr lecker-ich hatte die Balducci Bowl. Sehr frisch und saisonal. Der Service war leider sehr abgehetzt…wie so häufig. Das Café war sehr voll (Do. früh), zum Glück hatten wir reserviert. Preis-Leistung ist ok.

Im Prinzip ließen sich immer mal Punkte abziehen, allerdings finde ich es gerechtfertigt überall 5 Sterne zu geben, das Essen und die Service-Leistung waren bisher immer gut! Egal wie voll der Laden war und der Laden ist häufig gut besucht. Das empfinde ich schon als bemerkenswerte Leistung.

Balducci ist der Anlaufpunkt zum Plaudern und Essen 🍴, wenn ich mich mit Freunden im AEZ treffe!!!Es gibt dort kulinarisch alles,was man auf dem Einkaufsbummel an Stärkung braucht!! Der Gastronomiebereich ist vergrößert worden, sodass man um die Mittagszeit gut einen Platz zum Essen bekommt!! Das Angebot ist italienisch zubereitet und schmackhaft, von Salaten bis Pizza, schnell geht es auch! Es ist ein stark frequentiertes Restaurant, was für den zeitlich begrenzten Bedarf gedacht ist, also nicht, um stundenlang zu verweilen!! Aber es lohnt sich, dort zu sein!!!

Ich bin fassungslos was man hier als Frühstück bekommt . Käsefrühstück 12,50 Euro . Inkl Obstsalat (drei Würfel Honigmelone. 2 Scheiben Käse ein winziges Stück Camembert und Roqefourt eine Scheibe Gurke und ein Stück Grüner Paprika lieblos versucht auf drei Tellern einer Etagere was auch auf einen gepasst hätte angerichtet daneben Franz. Frühstück 2 Croissant und ein Teelöffel Marmelade + ein kleines Stück Butter 8 Euro . 2,Kaffe 2 Tee 50.Euro ich gebe gerne Geld für Qualität aus . Aber das war absolute Abzocke . Dabei wäre es so einfach . Ein zwei Sachen Obst Kräuter ect . Mehr und nett angerichtet. 1,Euro weniger Profit 🙈

Erst war ich skeptisch… einen Burger auf der Karte eines italienischen Restaurants? Aber wir haben uns je einen bestellt, und waren positiv überrascht. Dafür, dass es so voll war, ging es auch verhältnismäßig schnell. Zwar erschien uns der Preis für die Burger auch erst etwas hoch, aber immerhin hatte er 200g Fleisch. Am Ende mussten wir doch die Fritten halb liegen lassen, weil es zu viel war… also der Preis ist der Menge entsprechend doch gerechtfertigt.

We stopped for lunch here whilst shopping. The tomato soup was very nice but could have been warmer and we also had two good club sandwiches and a nice glass of wine. Service good.
