Very poor service. We were completely ignored for over 20 minutes while the staff behind the counter were on their phones. We weren't served at all – we eventually left.

We had truly first-class service, and the food was absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere and fast service. The vegan selection is a dream for any vegan. We'll definitely be back!

Only the name suggests the Mediterranean, but nothing else. What a pity.

The food was delicious. The prices are absolutely reasonable. It's right on a main road, and in that direction, there's a large covered veranda. It's actually great, but the back side would be quieter and much more pleasant. The tables are quite close together. If your neighbor bumps into you while sitting down, it's not their fault due to the tight space. One less table in the row would be much better. Our order was taken shortly before the shift change. The result was that the previous shift took our order and brought drinks and the appetizer. Then it was apparently the shift change, and when clearing the table, they forgot to call for the main courses, which was only discovered upon inquiry. This seems to have been an organizational problem. As an apology, they offered us a free drink...there were two of us, we had both ordered, and we waited accordingly. But at least we got something and a polite apology. So, it's okay. We'd probably go again. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos for you today 😁.

Ate a la carte 14 days ago, and today at the brunch buffet: First, we were asked to choose free seats from a designated area. Then, quite some time later, when we thought it was finally time to order drinks, we were asked to sit somewhere else entirely... There, too, it took forever until someone finally came to take our drinks, which was really annoying. A long time after the appetizer, I asked where the two main courses were... "Oh, my colleague must have forgotten them." They arrived very quickly. When I tried the last bite of my friend's burger, I realized why it suddenly went so fast: The patty was bone dry and rock hard! Unfortunately, my friend didn't want to say anything after all that waiting and just wanted to eat. Okay, we thought, a la carte doesn't seem to be their strong suit, but we wanted to try the buffet again after several years. Unfortunately, we had to endure a truly extreme wait again today, and that was just for a drink order... the buffet is self-service... 35 minutes after placing our order, the drinks arrived... sorry, the rest was forgotten. The café latte was lukewarm because it had been sitting at the bar the whole time, waiting to be picked up, within my sight... the forgotten drink arrived promptly. When we wanted to pay there after 2.5 hours, the same problem arose. No one came to us, even though it was just before 1 p.m. and had become very empty... when we got up and wanted to pay because no one came, we were asked to go back to our table. The table was still as full as it had been for the past few hours, because nothing was cleared away. Sorry, but on both days it really wasn't full; a couple at the table next to us even got up and left because they also didn't get their drinks.

Fast-food restaurants. Quite good for a quick bite.

It is beautiful here but you can forget about the burgers as if the patty was fried an hour ago and simply warmed up in the microwave, pizza pasta are excellently delicious

Very delicious food. It looks really nice inside, and the outside is covered, but I can't recommend the terrace. The benches are extremely uncomfortable. We'd be happy to come back, just sit down on the terrace; I won't subject myself to that.

Fantastic food and superb service! A short vacation for the soul. We recently visited Café del Sol and were absolutely thrilled! From the moment you arrive, you feel like you're on vacation in this beautiful, colonial-style villa. The ambiance is simply unique and immediately invites you to relax and enjoy yourself. The food was simply delicious from start to finish. The menu offers a fantastic and diverse selection, with something for everyone. The burgers are particularly juicy and perfectly prepared, but we also highly recommend the pasta dishes and the crispy pinsa. You can tell that the emphasis is on fresh ingredients and careful preparation. The portions are more than fair, and the value for money is absolutely spot on. What really made the visit perfect, however, was the exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we received warm and courteous service. We immediately felt welcome, and our every wish was fulfilled with a smile. Such great service is not something you can take for granted these days and deserves high praise! Conclusion: Café del Sol is the ideal place for a little break from everyday life. If you want to enjoy delicious food in a beautiful setting with first-class service, this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back soon!

We were there with friends in the evening. It wasn't very busy, but our orders were forgotten several times. We felt a bit neglected.

The portions are small. Service is quick and good, and they ask if everything is okay. Lasagna, for example, is a small portion and costs €12.50, while the schnitzel is a reasonable portion.

Hi, actually a nice place. We were there on Saturday and wanted to eat something delicious, but the staff completely ignored us, so after 15 minutes we said we were leaving. As we were leaving, we saw three waiters at the bar with their cell phones in their hands, which I didn't really like.

The coffee is great, and the service is friendly, but men and women aren't allowed to use the restroom. I was there recently and almost puked. The restrooms were full of shit. The door wouldn't close. I wouldn't have expected that from this place.

All you have to do is sit at a keyboard and hammer out text blocks. Instead, investments should be made in better service staff or their training. The restaurant itself could also use a makeover. But chain restaurants don't seem to need that; the undemanding nature of most guests is catered to there. About Schweinske level. And I thought they were bad.

Visiting Hamburg from the Rhineland, my visit to Café del Sol is reason enough to return soon. It was so delicious and the service was top-notch. The only downside was that we only found out at the end that card payments weren't possible. That should have been mentioned right at the beginning.

I was truly disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. The food arrived cold – as if it had been cooked an hour ago and had just been left out. Unfortunately, the taste was just as poor as the temperature. The absolute height of outrage: I had to wait over half an hour for my drink! I politely asked several times, but no one seemed to care. The service was disorganized and overwhelmed. Overall, a truly disappointing experience – neither the food nor the service were worth the price or the wait. I certainly won't be back and can't recommend it to anyone.

A wonderful place to feast, pause, and chat. The outdoor area is wonderfully reminiscent of a hacienda! The food is delicious, and the spritzers are fantastic! I've only ever sat outside because it's simply beautiful!

First, we had to wait 2.5 hours for our food, and what came next was wow. It was literally a deep-fried rat with two rolls, and that was supposed to be the burger. 🧌. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're a complete game meat fanatic. So, if you feel like trying something new (like a rat or a pigeon), this is a great place.

We've been there a few times for brunch and dinner. The former is very good. The buffet has a sufficiently varied menu. The menu is okay. The previous dishes were also, even if nothing stood out. What I found really mediocre during our recent visit was the portion of mayo with the fries. Sorry, but given the prices for the dishes, please fill your little bowls and not just a third. I found that really questionable. That stuff probably isn't a game-changer in terms of sales. ;-) Even though it's permitted under all restaurant rules, when there's no wind outside in the summer, the terrace smells truly disgusting of stale cigarette smoke. That really spoiled my fun on my last visit. Probably due to the numerous ashtrays on every table. They're there even when no one is sitting there. Perhaps a seat at the edge of the terrace would be more advantageous in this regard. I'll at least try it next time.

The food was okay. The restrooms have been unsightly for a long time, and the smell leaves a lot to be desired, especially if you have a seat nearby! Please improve this as soon as possible!

I'd been wanting to go there for a long time because of the interesting ambiance. The reviews were also promising. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed on our first visit. The tables outside on the terrace hadn't been wiped down. There were full ashtrays at all the tables. It was definitely not inviting. So we decided to sit inside. We each ordered a pinsa and a pasta Napoli, as well as mini potatoes. The drinks came first, about 20 to 30 minutes before the food. The pasta and potatoes arrived about 10 to 15 minutes before the pinsa. Since there were three of us at the table, it would have been better if the whole meal had arrived together. After the meal, we each had a chocolate cake and an almond cake, along with two cappuccinos. The cappuccinos arrived about 15 to 20 minutes before the cakes. The cappuccinos were served lukewarm, and by the time the cakes arrived, they were cold. The cakes were also cold and didn't taste good at all. See photo.

Average food. Only worth it for a schnitzel holiday.

The two of us went to brunch on Mother's Day. As expected, it was very full, but there was no crowd at the buffet and the food was delicious. The service, however, really left a lot to be desired. Admission only started shortly after 11:30 a.m. and took a long time, so we didn't get inside until 11:45 a.m. We were once asked at the beginning what we wanted to drink and then the drinks were no longer taken into account. I went to the waitress for the 2nd round of drinks. When the drinks came she noticed the table was full and said she would come and clear it straight away, but unfortunately that didn't happen. In 2 hours 15 minutes the table wasn't cleared once. The two of us left almost €60 behind and were really annoyed by the poor service.

We were in the restaurant on Saturday, waited more than half an hour for our order (two burgers), we won't go there anymore.

We wanted to eat something at 8 p.m. on May 1st and were given the choice of waiting half an hour because they had to sort the place out first or just leave again. There were around 15-20 people in the restaurant, which made it incomprehensible to me to seat two people because there were a lot of free tables. The service was totally overwhelmed.

Unfortunately the kitchen takes a long time to prepare the food. It looks so carelessly prepared. The waitress forgets half of the order. Food was served cold and didn't taste good either. Pinsa was burned. Very disappointed.

Service was rather modest and very simple, location was nice, food was okay but not earth-shattering. There were two of us there. There were probably too few staff for the amount of guests. We waited a long time to be able to order. You don't really know which operator is responsible for you. You are greeted with a shout over the counter while the waitress is making the drinks and wants to seat you at the same table as a stranger. Our reserved table was missing a chair 🙃 and the food was missing an ingredient that the waiter didn't know was usually in it. He wanted to follow up again in the kitchen. But it didn't come anymore ☺️ Then we asked another waitress again until the ingredient finally came to the table, with the answer that it was there, I just couldn't see it and therefore didn't taste it ☺️ I once learned that you don't argue with the guest, you just make sure that he is satisfied. When we spoke to the waitress again on the way past us, we were turned away with a somewhat assertive: “Wait a minute” and were allowed to turn to another waiter after waiting. The waitress who mainly served us was basically nice. Hence the 2 stars. As a trained specialist, I find the whole service process to be a bit underground. But unfortunately you often see that in large chain restaurants. The personal touch is missing and you feel more like sushi on the all-you-can-eat treadmill. We still had a nice evening and it would be nice if in the future you would be served more by trained and trained staff in the restaurants who do the job out of passion and not for the money.

Been here again for a long time (due to Corona) and have to say that unfortunately it will be the last time. You wait for hours to place your order and then only half of our group gets a drink, the rest only upon request, even though they ordered at the same time. The price of the food has risen exorbitantly. We had to leave empty dishes at the next table ourselves, but unfortunately no one came to clear them away, not even when asked, let alone to ask if we would like to order anything else. We would have drunk a lot more if someone had come over, and it wasn't even full. Service has deteriorated so much. I had heard this from many people and now experienced it first hand. It's a real shame - it used to be so great here.

The service today was a complete disaster. We even saw some people get up and leave without ordering because they were taking too long. I didn't even get my ordered drink and had to ask for it several times.

We were there for dinner on March 27th. Shortly after entering the restaurant, we noticed an unpleasant smell from the toilet, which was then unbearable in the toilet rooms themselves. Something should definitely be done! We were there with 5 people and 2 of us (both ate burgers) had stomach cramps and diarrhea after the visit.

Unfortunately I am very disappointed! On Thursday evening we sat outside. There was no service after 20 minutes. When asked, a waitress came, took the order and the drinks came after a few minutes. However, after eating I had to ask again after 40 minutes. We didn't like the food at all! It's not like it was back then. Furthermore, our request to turn on the gas heater was rejected on the grounds that there was no gas. No alternative to cover was offered

We came here again for dinner after a long time. The food is still consistently very good, served hot and with great taste. Even small special requests are easily fulfilled. The only downer is the acoustics within the restaurant. It is very loud with just a few guests. Nevertheless, I can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

The food is ok standard. There's nothing wrong with that. The drinks are delicious. The location is cool and the staff is attentive and friendly. BUT !!!! The fact that the toilets smell worse than at a train station is an absolute NO GO. This screams of a lack of thorough cleaning. This shouldn't happen in the catering industry. Just really bad in the ladies' room.

Today I ate a portion of sweet potato fries there for 10 euros. It's a small portion to contain. These were the most expensive fries of my life. Pure rip-off, I'll never come back

I got half a glass of Lilith for just under €8. The pasta, I don't know what it was supposed to be, penne with leeks without any taste. If your own food tastes better than the one in a restaurant, you don't need to go out anymore. The conditions and the ambience were the only nice thing but once and never again.

Absolute waste of time and money Café del Sol in Jenfeld? Never again! The service was okay, but that was about it for the positive aspects. The waiting time was just absurd – I could have cooked something myself in that time. And the food? A bad joke. Except for the fries, everything was inedible - it tasted like it had been pulled out of the microwave. To then charge hefty prices for this is really cheeky. Price-performance? Just ass. Save yourself the visit unless you want to get annoyed.

Wir waren bis vor ca. 5 Jahre öfter mal zum Brunchen dort. Nun wollten wir es wieder einmal probieren und hatten für zwei Personen reserviert. Der zugewiesene Platz zwischen Treppe, Garderobe und einer Familienveranstaltung war eng und laut. Unsere Auswahl an Speisen vom Brunchbuffet war leider auch keine Offenbarung. Der Start mit kaltem Rührei und verbratenem Speck wurde mit harten Hackbällchen und aufgeplatzten Würstchen ergänzt. Danach haben wir uns bei den (warmen) Gerichten umgesehen, leider auch hier ein ähnliches Ergebnis das Schweinefilet war maximal noch lauwarm und trocken gebraten. Das Personal besteht aus Schülern und Studenten bemüht und freundlich aber kein Gastropersonal. Für uns war es das letzte Mal, da kann man in Hamburg auch besser Brunchen.

Also wir fangen mol mit dem Positiven an die Currywurst ist immer noch super das Personal ist freundlich und es hat fast alles von der Bestellung gepasst. Aber was gar nicht mehr geht sind die runtergekommenen Möbel das ist so als würde man auf Sperrmüll sitzen die Polster sind zerrissen und total abgewohnt da muss unbedingt was gemacht werden da will man nicht mehr drauf sitzen

A very nice and cozy cafe. The cocktails there taste very good. In summer you can sit outside on the terrace and sip your cocktails. There are additional and free parking spaces for Cafe del Sol guests in the Studio Hamburg parking garage (next door).

There is a relaxed atmosphere here, a huge selection on the menu and service that always gives you a smile. The quality? Simply top of everything we have tried so far. In summer, the covered terrace outside is an absolute hit. It does happen that it rains in Hamburg, but even then the Ce del Sol is always a good choice. We definitely enjoy being there and can only warmly recommend it!

Very nice restaurant! The employees were very friendly, the service was great and the food was at the table quickly. There is a good vegan selection and dishes can also be customized. Parking spaces are available (for a fee) in an adjacent parking garage.

We were here for the second time within a few weeks with more than 20 people. Breakfast was registered last time, this time after work. Regarding the food and drinks, you can say that everything tasted good. There were no culinary highlights, but good, sufficiently large, mostly fast food dishes such as burgers, ribs or nachos etc. Unfortunately the atmosphere was a bit loud. The restaurant consists of a high, large hall, which of course ensures a lot of noise. But what was really disappointing was the slow and, above all, inefficient service. When we arrived with 24 people, the restaurant was not even half full and there were 4 or 5 employees. At first it took about 30!!! Minutes until the friendly waitress took your drink requests. When we asked if we could order food right away, we refused. (She would have only had to type the order into her device) After this order, the waitress more or less prepared all the drinks on her own and then brought them to us. The kitchen could have prepared the food in that time - none. Then at some point the food order was taken and after about 90 minutes we had our food. After that, no attention or requests for further requests. How cut off. The staff was friendly at all times, but unstructured (high 10).

We've been there a few times because we really like the food, but the biggest problem there is simply the catastrophic service, with very few exceptions it was always extremely bad, last time we just left after 25 minutes without service, We were brought to the table and then ignored for 25 minutes without taking an order, with only about 5 tables occupied. We tried again and again but that was the last. What's also really bad is the smell in the toilets, which you can also notice in the guest room if you sit too close to the toilet entrances and the condition of the sanitary facilities is really not good

Café del Sol impresses with a great atmosphere and a very cozy ambience. The food is, as usual, delicious and the cocktails are an absolute highlight. This time the Piña Colada in particular was very creamy, tasty and thoroughly recommended. Overall, a nice place to stay and enjoy.
