The fries at Birger were mega, the burger itself too

My first time there!! A great team who greet you warmly and friendly!! The food was really great. I had the "Krause Burger" with extra meat and a dip. Hats off to this amazing burger, it's really hard to chew 😃 and it tastes amazing too 👍. The price-performance ratio was also good. I will definitely be back 😀. Best regards from Kali

I highly recommend a visit! You'll be greeted by two ship captains who are both very personable and hospitable. The menu offers a wide selection of burgers. No matter which one you choose, they're definitely the best! The burgers are simply enormous and incredibly delicious. The potatoes are cooked to a fantastic standard. They look and taste just as delicious. Unbeatable! Definitely the best burgers in Germany. A must-try.

A very special, subterranean, painful experience. I reserve the right to take legal action. July 13, 2025, approximately 3:00 PM. Had something to eat and drink with my friend. Ordered a burger, fries, and two large beers. Beer arrived, wait time was okay, wanted to toast - I cut my thumb on the broken beer glass. When asked about it, the owner, a middle-aged guy, promptly brought me a new one and asked bluntly if I needed a bandage. No thanks, I'll take care of it myself. At the end of the visit, I wanted to pay, and the bill came - €53.60 - a hefty sum... 2 burgers, fries, and 2 drinks. I gave the owner €60 and politely addressed the situation and the damage to my physical integrity. He reacted quite annoyed: That was just a hairline crack in the glass, you couldn't cut yourself on that, but if it makes me happy, he'll deduct my wheat beer (€5.90) from the bill, took the €60, and disappeared for a moment. He replied, "Here's my change - €10!" Put the bill on the table, turned around, and left. I was visibly surprised, as were other guests who had heard about the incident. So, I lost €3.60 in the restaurant. With the self-proposed solution (deducting €5.90 for the wheat beer), I cheated the customer and turned my back on it. As a personal conclusion, I think that profit optimization or even greed leads to such questionable behavior; the physical safety of the guests is not a priority. The cost pressure was also reflected, incidentally, in the dirty restrooms and the overgrown outdoor area. Therefore, in my opinion, a visit is not recommended.

Really nice ambience, pleasantly large outdoor area with a view of the Xanten North Sea. Very manageable menu, mainly with burger variations (but these are also tasty and large).

We ordered a total of six different burgers and fries to pick up and eat at home. We arrived a few minutes early, and the burgers were already ready. The staff was very friendly. However, when we got home, we noticed that none of the burgers were labeled, so we couldn't tell which burger was which. After a while of trying things out, everyone finally got their correct burger, and they were once again delicious. The fries were a bit disappointing, as they tasted soggy. However, the burgers are great value for money!

We visited Bagfiz for the first time today. We actually just wanted to refresh ourselves with a cold drink and eat somewhere else later. We received a very friendly and warm welcome and sat very comfortably on the cozy chairs with a direct view of the lake (beautiful 😍). Wonderful ambiance, everything was clean, and when we saw the menu, our mouths watered. We decided to eat at Bagfiz. It was a very good decision; every meal brought to us by the very friendly, welcoming, and cheerful waiters tasted excellent. The food is highly recommended; everything was very fresh and of high quality. Angus beef in a burger and then so much more, the sauces were so delicious, the salad was so crisp and fresh, and the fries were nice and crispy and subtly seasoned. Very good value for money. Now we have found our favorite restaurant in Bagfiz. Thank you to the entire Bagfiz team, you are "SUPER"!!!! 💗

A very attractive location with a wide selection of dishes. The staff was...as they say in Cologne...really joot drup, and we spent a very pleasant evening there. Delicious burgers and schnitzel. Good portions at reasonable prices. I absolutely recommend a visit to bagfiz; the location and everything about it is very appealing. We'll be back again.

A real insider tip by the water! 😊 Friendly service, no wait – as soon as we sat down, the drinks were almost ready (okay, almost 😉). The view of the Xanten North Sea? Postcard-worthy! Chilled music played, evoking holiday feelings. I had the goat cheese burger – crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the curry dip was so good I briefly considered licking the spoon 😄. My partner had the Holstein schnitzel – huge, crispy, delicious! The fries were perfect, and the sour cream wasn't a boring blob, but really good. Everything was fresh, everything was delicious – and all at fair prices. Conclusion: Full marks, highly recommended. We'll definitely be back – maybe even tomorrow! 😄🍽️

These were the worst BBQ burgers I've ever eaten. The meat was cold and there was more salad than anything else. I don't recommend it...

The location is very nice, good for burgers, but the jokes from the male staff are inappropriate, and the cleanliness of the outdoor area—cobwebs on the railings, excessive moss growth on the parasols, etc.—leaves a lot to be desired. With more attention to detail and thoroughness, guests would feel more comfortable. Best regards

It couldn't get any stupider than that. 🤪 We wanted to eat there on May 1st, 2025. The restaurant was moderately busy. There were still around 200 places available. The question was whether we had reserved. NO was our answer. We also wanted a place in the shade. Uh-oh. Then the drama started.🤯The first waiter looked around confused and had no advice. 🤔A second waiter was more on point and directed us to a table that was a bit off to the side. Super. We took a seat and ordered the drinks. When suddenly and unexpectedly the big boss appeared. 👺We should sit at another table. Why? our question. The table was just assigned to us. Crowds of guests would be expected. Then when? No answer. When I asked if we should eat somewhere else, the answer from the big boss was: That wouldn't bother me. 😳 It would probably be an impertinence to show up here without a reservation and then ask for a place in the shade. Uuuups Since when do you have to make a reservation at a 2 star burger outlet????? We then left. Don't come back either. Don't fly too high, that's all I can say, my little friend. Have a good meal.

And it's DAMN SAD THAT YOU DO THAT REGULAR CUSTOMERS. ... ...I'm just at a loss for words and the event made us incredibly sad :( :( / You can let that go through your head......WE'RE NOT GOING THERE ANYMORE. Wir haben e Burger 🍔 bestellt und es ist gebracht worden von Chef Ralf persönlich aber leider nur dahin geschmissen....+ Das Besteck ........unerhört.........man hatte das Gefühl = wie für e Hund von die Pfoten geworfen : total traurig und sehr enttäuscht weil wir sehr oft da sind..... .Finde den Fehler .......wir sind nachdenklich geworden.....verdammt unprofessionell und wir werden das Lokal definitiv meiden und nicht mehr besuchen :(

Just Tried again and unfortunately was disappointed again. Went there on a wonderful sunny day and sat outside where there was self-service and, to my regret, there was beer poured from bottles into the glass. The food later was ok but not at all special. Price performance absolutely not justified. A portion of fries (which are really very small) for over 5 euros 😃 The service was again a shame. A burger was simply wrong. When asked (by a child) the response was rude and the burger was taken away without comment. Fortunately, the cellar that brought the next one apologized for the store. More from the waiters and you would have more returning guests. Oh yes, the special requests were not fulfilled for a single dish. And I'm talking about simple things like leaving the tomato off the burger. I won't take the long journey again. CORRECTION TO ANSWER: This is simply not true! There was definitely bottled beer otherwise I wouldn't tell! Staff is in short supply, which I understand, but the entire beer garden was definitely not served at that time and you had to get the drinks yourself!!! The fries were also charged at more than €4.10. It's a shame that the criticism isn't simply accepted and improved, but unfortunately I already suspected something like that. You don't win customers that way

Im April waren wir hier und wollten Backfisch essen...leider keiner vorhanden. Gestern ein erneuter Versuch...7 Personen und nicht eine einzige Portion Backfisch zu bekommen...Angeblich hätten sie schon über 4 Wochen keinen geliefert bekommen, dazu noch das unbeständige Wetter... Es schien die Sonne und es war warm. Haben dann Seelachs bestellt und bekamen Tiefkühlkost, statt frischem Fisch !!! Wir werden diese gastronomie garantiert nicht mehr besuchen !!!

We were able to get a table on Ascension Day even without a reservation thanks to the friendly service staff. The meal took about an hour, but it was worth the wait. Only the outdoor area could use a spring cleaning.

We tried out a new shop, Bagfiz am See, and were immediately surprised by the maritime and tasteful ambience. From the first minute we were treated in a friendly and open manner, the menu is clear and well designed, everyone can find something to suit their taste. We were warned that the portions were large, what can you say, luckily we are very good eaters. Not only are the portions huge, the quality is second to none. I've never had burgers as good as I've had here, the Putine also create a taste explosion in your mouth. I can't find any criticism here at all!
