The food is always delicious. However, it took over an hour until our Essek was at the table. Please be careful when visiting this restaurant during peak times

Good and plentiful food, normal price, very nice and polite service.

Unfortunately the service is really subpar. Drinks were forgotten several times, so after 20 minutes we had to run to the counter and ask where the drinks were, even though the beer garden wasn't very full. The service is really not attentive at all and prefers to chat with people we know, even though we pointed out to the waiter several times that we wanted to order the food or drinks. But the food is, as always, quite ok, i.e. upscale snack quality.

Intrigued by the good reviews, we of course had to take a detour to the beer garden, which lives up to its name one hundred percent. A great garden, lovingly furnished. The owners and employees are quick, attentive and nice, the food (I had Greek) was of very good quality and plentiful, and the price was absolutely correct. What more do you have to write than... we'd love to come back! 👍 See you next week 👋

We were here for lunch at lunchtime. An incredibly great beer garden, with lots of space, whether shade or sun - there is something for everyone. The restaurant is a family business and it really shows. The dad is in the kitchen and the kids provide reliable, friendly and extremely attentive service. The service probably can't be beat as people just enjoy their job. And the food was just delicious. We can really recommend it to everyone - you will like it! We'll definitely be back! I was there for one night with a business partner. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays, but the landlord immediately offered to make us food. We were served a very tasty and varied grilled plate with salad, various sauces and side dishes. With the best will in the world, we couldn't eat everything. The next morning we continued with a very hearty breakfast. The service and friendliness of the staff cannot be beat. Everything is worth its price in the best sense of the word. Again any time! Unfortunately my breakfast experience was very disappointing. Although the staff seemed friendly, the service was extremely slow and almost incompetent. The food was simply not good - the scrambled eggs were so unappetizing that I didn't want to eat them. The buffet was very meat-heavy and the quality didn't seem convincing, at least visually. The juice was watery and didn't really taste good. The rolls were okay, but not particularly good either. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this country house.

We were there for dinner. Everything was great, despite being very busy, everything worked wonderfully. Highly recommended, it's best to make a reservation. The food was a poem, even if you were very hungry there was enough quantity.

It's a shame that you can't rate the restaurant individually. 5 stars for restaurant, service and team. I can't say anything about the rooms as such, we are regular guests from there Place who visit the restaurant. For example, the Landhaus hosted our wedding shortly after the first Corona easing and helped make this day what it was, an unforgettable day for us to which the Landhaus and its great team contributed at the time. We enjoy being guests there and look forward to being there again and again. No matter whether it's the operator himself, his son or even Jessica, it's always nice to be there. Everyone is working to the limit for the well-being of the guests, that can certainly be noted. The food is really very good and we think value for money is really very important here. Small downer. Presumably due to the pandemic and other reasons, some team members have left the country house and new ones have joined; we have not yet been able to establish a connection with the “new employees” as much as we have with the “old team”. was. This is certainly also due to the wedding, which was a highlight for us and simply connected us with the old team. We wish the country house all the best and look forward to your next visit.

It's inexpensive, tastes good and fills you up! In general there is a family atmosphere. Even if you get hit on the tower while drinking, you'll be dealt with well here.

An inn that deserves its name. Very friendly staff and boss! Very good Greek cuisine 😊. A great beer garden. Rich breakfast. Rooms spartan but clean and good beds. Bicycles can be stored in a lockable garage 😉. Xanten North Sea can be reached in just a few minutes by bike.

Good inn and now one of the few, especially in the corner. The restaurant is Greek, although for historical reasons there is still the schnitzel menu. The quality and portions are more than decent and the price/performance ratio for drinks and food is absolutely there. If the inn were right on the lake, the location would also be 5 stars, but you just have to get along with the nice beer garden. All in all, always worth a visit, either for a beer in the evening or for food and drinks in the beer garden in summer.

After the open-air museum, I spontaneously looked for something to combat hunger and found it here. Great service! Great food of sufficient size and at affordable prices. Sat in the beer garden and were thoroughly satisfied. Keep it up!

Hello, We only went for a meal with 6 people. I can't provide any information about the hotel. On the other hand, about the restaurant. We were greeted warmly, the drinks were taken straight away and we were able to order after the drinks were served. The food was very rich and everyone enjoyed it. The owner gave us a free drink and a new reservation was made. The ambience is successful and there is enough space around the individual tables. When the weather is nice, the beer garden is also available. We'd love to come back.

The best food far and wide...very nice staff

The country inn is very centrally located. Very nice outside view. There is a small parking lot next to the house. The counter invites you to linger. Small and fine and reasonable prices. A large hall provides space for a meal with many people. The very friendly staff will immediately make you feel at home. If small problems arise, no problem: they will be taken care of immediately. The rooms are fine. Not too big. The bathroom is also clean. There is a kind of "group room" in the hallway where you can sit together with several people. With TV and refrigerator. Conclusion: More than satisfied.

I'm sitting in an electronic wheelchair, it's tight for a wheelchair like that. (Mastery of electric wheelchair is very important) But no problem for normal wheelchairs or walkers. We ate there with friends. The staff was really nice and the service was great. The food was great. From my side, it would always roll back into my bad. And for you I would say you have to go there, it's really worth it. I didn't rate the top Lokaian room, I can't say anything because I didn't stay there.

You come in and are immediately greeted in a friendly manner :) All the employees are very, very nice 🫶🏼 I only made it to my room at night and was immediately asked if I wanted a beer and then I played dice with the best regular customers and had beer. I really liked it here. Dinner was very tasty. Unfortunately I can't say anything about breakfast, but I don't think there's anything to complain about I would come back any time :)

Spontan ein Wochenende in Xanten, auf dem Weihnachtsmark, gewesen. Unsere Unterkunft war das Landhaus Spickermann. Eine gute Wahl... wir sind sehr freundlich empfangen worden. Die Zimmer sind gut und sauber. Wir hatten die Übernachtung mit Frühstück, was sehr gut war. Danke für das schöne Wochenende, wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Wir waren für eine Nacht mit Freunden im Hotel, da wir den Weihnachtsmarkt in Xanten besucht haben. Wir wurden schon sehr herzlich empfangen, haben umfangreiche Tipps bekommen. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung, für eine Nacht vollkommen in Ordnung. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat uns positiv überrascht, eine Riesenauswahl mit der wir nicht gerechnet hatten. Herausragend war aber einfach das gesamte Personal, wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Tolles Personal sehr höflich und kompetent das essen am Abend war super und reichlich Zimmer ist auch prima und Frühstückstisch war viel zu viel für eine Person und alles da teilweise bekommt man das nicht einmal in Hochprozentigen Hotels Werde auf jedenfall mal wieder kommen 👍

Die Mitarbeitenden sind super freundlich und machen wett, was den Zimmern ein wenig fehlt. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht, aber die Ausstattung wirkt ein wenig lieblos. Der Gastraum mit Restaurant und Theke ist jedoch sehr schön und gemütlich. Die Stimmung ist toll und das Essen ist super! Wer keinen Luxus braucht, um sich wohlzufühlen, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Klare Empfehlung!

Es war wieder super. Das Essen ist immer Klasse und reichlich. Der Service war super. Es wurde regelmäßig nach Getränkewünschen gefragt und ob alles in Ordnung sei. Preis-Leistung ist auch in Ordnung. Das einzige was nicht sooo toll war, war das eine Dame vom Service lange Haare hatte, die teilweise über dem Tisch baumelten wenn sie sich rüber beugte. Auch als wir schon die Vorspeise auf dem Tisch stehen hatte. Ansonsten kommen wir natürlich weiterhin gerne, da wir direkt ums Eck wohnen.

Fantastisch gegeten met het gezin, goede sfeer met zowel Griekse als Duitse specialiteiten… de schnitzels (3 stukken!) met champignonsaus was verrukkelijk, de friet heerlijk knapperig en en de salade verder dan vers, het personeel uiterst vriendelijk en geduldig. Als we een minpuntje kunnen vinden is dat in het kader van voedselverspilling want de maaltijden zijn absurd groot, gezien de gunstige prijzen was het begrijpelijk dat het restaurant tot het laatste plekje bezet is, je krijgt met recht waar voor je geld. Das Essen ist top und das Personal super freundlich. Man kann sehr schön im Garten sitzen und essen. Die Gartenmöbel könnten allerdings mal ausgetauscht . Ungemütlich und echt schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen .

Wir wollten eine Nacht dort bleiben und wollten von dort gar nicht mehr abreisen. Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Kellner waren sehr gut und freundlich, wir haben dort geschlafen, die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und schön, wir würden gerne wieder dorthin zurückkehren

Es war seeeeeehr lecker große Teller selbstverständlich kann man den Rest schön eingepackt nach Hause mitnehmen der Service (Kellner super schnell ein Salat oder ein Zaziki dazu bestellt in 2 Minuten sofort auf den Tisch super sowas ist nicht überall üblich und die Kellner ganz freundlich und locker danke schön weiter so wir kommen bestimmt noch Mal wieder ich empfehle es weiter sehr gerne Leute geht da rein und probiere es.

Wir waren zu fünft während einer Radtour im 'Landhaus Spickermann' in der Nähe von Xanten für eine Zwischenübernachtung. Leider waren wir von der Unterkunft ziemlich enttäuscht. Die Zimmer glichen mehr 'Monteurzimmern', die Betten getrennt, der Fußboden (Laminat) verschrammt, das Bad schlecht ausgetattet (den Duschkopf musste man festhalten weil die Halterung fehlte). Der Biergarten war allerdings sehr angenehm, das griechische Essen mäßig, natürlich sehr fleischlastig und vom Geschmack her nicht überzeugend. Beim Frühstück hatten wir das Glück, dass wir sonntags da waren, (nur) sonntags gibt es ein Frühstücksbuffet, daher können wir nicht beurteilen, wie das Frühstück normalerweise ist. Hinsichtlich der Sauberkeit ist uns sehr negativ aufgefallen, dass am morgen die frische Bettwäsche, die dann neu auf die Betten aufgezogen werden soll, im Flur auf dem Fußboden bereitgelegt war (wo andere mit ihren Straßenschuhen herlaufen) - wir wir finden ein hygienisches NoGo. Die familiäre Bedienung / Service war sehr nett. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis fanden wir aber insgesamt zu hoch bzw. nicht angmessen.

Ein Besuch im Landhaus Spickermann ist sehr zu empfehlen! Für den Preis sind die Zimmer gut, blitzeblank aber natürlich keine Luxus-Suiten, eben ein Landhaus. Besonders war für mich aber ganz klar der Service und die Herzlichkeit aller Mitarbeiter und insbesondere vom Chef. Man hatte direkt ein familiäres Gefühl und jeder Wunsch wird einem erfüllt! Man merkt das die Mitarbeiter ihren Job gerne machen und sich wirklich herzlich über den Besuch freuen. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Portionen sind für den Preis wirklich viel. Bin ein sehr guter Esser, aber immer Satt geworden. Sollte ich nochmal in der Nähe sein, werde ich definitiv wieder dorthin gehen.

Wir hatten eine Woche hier Urlaub. Es war ein Traumurlaub. Das Wetter, naja, nicht ganz Traumhaft. Das Personal, die Freundlichkeit, der Service war unglaublich spitze. Und nicht zu vergessen, das Restaurant war ebenso gut. Vielen Dank dafür und gerne wieder. Liebe Grüße. Ines und Dirk Lindemeyer

Wir waren kurz nach der Eröffnung zu Beginn der Pandemie dort. Alles top. Aber was gestern essenstechnisch geboten wurde war einfach katastrophal. Gut man hat die Riesenspeisekarte für den Biergarten etwas gestutzt. Das kann man verstehen. Aber... ... ich bestellte einen Salatteller mit Lachs für 12,50 Euro für den kleinen Hunger. Was da auf dem Teller lag, kann man im Supermarkt auf fünf Quadratmetern schnell einkaufen. Eine halbe Tüte Mischsalat, eine halbierte Tomate, ein Drittel einer Portion Lachs aus der Tiefkühlung sowie einen Beutel mit Fertigdressing Dill-Senf, der dann einfach nur noch darüber geklatscht wurde. Mit griechischer Küche und mit Kochen an sich hatte das nichts mehr zu tun. Keine Olive, geschweige denn ein selbstgemachtes Dressing mit griechischem Olivenöl, einen Schuss Essig, Pfeffer, Salz. Fertig. Weniger ist manchmal mehr. Die Dressing-Soße hat alles überlagert und machte das Essen fast ungenießbar. Als ich dem Wirt meine ehrliche Meinung sagte, zeigte er sich sehr beleidigt und wenig einsichtig. Wer jetzt meint, für das Geld könne man nicht viel mehr erwarten, den muss ich enttäuschen. Wir hatten wenige Abende zuvor in Xantens Klever Straße beim Italiener erfahren dürfen, wie mediterrane Küche geht.

Also wir waren mit 2 Familien heute hier Essen und müssen sagen sowohl für Kinder als auch für uns Erwachsene ist die Karte sehr vielseitig und alles was wir bestellt hatten war alles frisch zubereitet!!! Werden definitiv wieder kommen!!! Sehr nette Bedienung in einem urigen Ambiente 100% empfehlenswert!!!

In dieser Gaststätte fühlt man sich sofort heimisch, denn die Tische und Stühle sind aus den vergangenen Zeiten. Die Laune der Mitarbeiter ist ausgezeichnet. Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist gut und günstig. Saisonale Speisen werden ebenso angeboten wie z.B. Hochwaldspargel. Sehr lecker. Wenn man mit mehreren dort verweilt, kann es schon sein das vorne in der Kneipe einfach mal ein Tänzchen wagt. Auch die Einheimischen nehmen die Gäste sofort freundlich auf. Die Zimmer zum übernachten sind nicht riesig aber dafür sauber und zweckmäßig. Das Frühstück ist schlichtweg der Hammer, Eine große Auswahl an Wurst und Käse, frisches Obst, frische Brötchen vom Bäcker, leckere Brotsorten und frisch gebackenes Schwarzbrot. Im Sommer frische Erdbeeren schon zum Frühstück. Echt der Hammer. Der Biergarten hat Platz für ca. 52 Gäste. Alles in allem ein Haus zum Wohlfühlen.

Hier kan met degelijk Duits eten tegen goede prijs. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Er hangt een gemoedelijke sfeer. Ook met kinderen is het hier goed vertoeven. Dit is zeker een aanrader!

Wir sind schon öfter im Landhaus Spickermann gewesen. Ein paar mal mit unserem Kegelverein Mi einer Übernachtung. Das Essen ist sehr gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir fahren ab und zu auch mal alleine dorthin um zu Essen und von dort aus eine Tour mit dem Rad zu machdn.
