Went to El Dorado yesterday on our wedding anniversary. Ordered a plate for 2 people. What can I say? Super tasty and very plentiful!! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. A really successful evening. We were thrilled.

Great steaks, friendly and attentive service. Typical rustic "Yugoslavian flair" with stone arches and quaint seating areas. I highly recommend it.

We had burning sword for 2 people. Meat was very (too) dry and I ordered without liver. However, it did contain liver. I think it's better to order a steak there because that's what they're known for.

Unfortunately, I had to realize that I wouldn't visit this restaurant again. The staff was moderately friendly, the salad buffet was bland and not that appealing. The food itself wasn't a highlight either. The ambience was typical, but everything was very cramped.

Visited June 8, 2022. Lunch at absolutely moderate prices and with 3 courses. Lavish salad buffet. Main course tasty and to the point. Friendly service. What more could you want? A clear recommendation for me. I always enjoy coming here.

Food delicious, staff friendly. It's a shame that the bell from the kitchen constantly sounded very loud... I've eaten there several times and always happily and without the loud ringing. So far I haven't sat in the entrance area, but towards the back. It's a shame that the toilet is in the basement. 2 older guests returned to the table and with my partner/wheelchair user I don't eat here.

Great food, even an extra menu for allergy sufferers (gluten-free). The service is excellent. And at the end there is a liqueur. Rightly 5 stars from us.

We had initially imagined something different when we thought of a steakhouse El Dorado, but we were delighted to have ended up in an "80s Yugo". So many beautiful childhood memories that came back. The restaurant was very well attended, including some larger groups. The service had a lot to do and could have used more people. Most dishes come with a small salad that you can put together at a salad bar. Good solution for the many preferences and intolerances that are out there. The food came in a reasonable time and was very tasty as promised. Somehow it seemed as if no one wanted our money, so we actively positioned ourselves in the service's path in order to be able to pay. To say goodbye there was a little schnapps on the way. It was a pleasant evening, you can do it.

Always eat delicious food, I've been going to Rade for over 25 years and that we always stay that way, even now at Daniel's.

Very excellent food. The steak was perfectly cooked, delicately seasoned and wonderfully tender. The vegetables had a delicate bite and the salad buffet was also very tasty.

My family has been visiting this restaurant for years whenever we are back in Xanten. The salad buffet offers a good selection that you can put together yourself and the dishes are freshly prepared, with good ingredients and in appropriate portions. The service is also great. So: always happy!

We really enjoyed it and would definitely go again next time we visit Xanten. The Yugoslavian dishes are fairly priced and the waiter was very quick and attentive. We liked the salad buffet. Just a little suggestion: The meat can come off the grill a little earlier.

The food is sumptuous and delicious. I think it's great that there's a salad buffet. It is the typical Balkan cuisine known in Germany with a nice addition to include a detailed steak menu. You can't go wrong if you go there to eat. The atmosphere could be more loving. The service was ok, but with more friendliness and attentiveness you could have made a € or two more in sales and the tip would have been higher too.

Premium steakhouse. The food is very tasty, especially the salad buffet is very fresh. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Cheffe welcomes almost all guests and is happy about each and every one.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed tonight. First the liver wasn't cooked through, then it was fried again and was tough. I pointed it out again. There was no question from the staff as to whether things were better now. Instead we talked to other guests. Then I went again with my plate, apparently new liver was fried, it was boiling hot and tough. I am very disappointed 😞. Not a bit accommodating. I had to pay the full price. Otherwise the liver was always good, I'm so disappointed. Maybe regular guests are better looked after. Sabine Mull

We enjoyed lunch - all the offerings couldn't be topped!!! The service was very good - all the employees took loving care of the guests!!! The ambience was good. We will come back !!!

The food was delicious, but the service was very mixed. On the one hand, we waited a solid 1.5 hours for the food. There were apparently regular customers at the next table who came at the same time. Things went much more quickly there. When we got our food, the people sitting next to us were putting on their jackets to leave. They were done with everything. Furthermore, we had to run behind for every drink, otherwise we wouldn't have gotten anything. It took so long that there were 4 people at the table who shared what was still there. After the meal we cleared away, but we didn't even ask if we could have anything else, espresso, dessert, etc. We would have liked to order something else, but given the circumstances we decided to leave the restaurant and nibble on something sweet at home. It's a shame because the food itself was really tasty.

Unfortunately, it has decreased significantly. The food is okay, but the service, as far as it is available, is overwhelmed and even unfriendly and only after clearly drawing attention to yourself do you take care of regular guests. Overall, we unfortunately found our last visits disappointing and it's not just the junior manager who seems to be averse to a little bottle every now and then... It's only a matter of time before this formerly good restaurant, which the senior has spent years building up, goes to the dogs. A pity!

Nette unkomplizierte Bewirtung, Gute Küche, ich komme gerne wieder zum Essen und verweilen.

Waren dort Essen, die Speisen waren sehr gut. Selten so gut "Balkan" Art gegessen. Einzig negativ: der Service "Bezahlung", d.h.: z.B. Kassenbon 38€, 40€ hingelegt, eingesteckt, ohne Anzeige der Restgeld Rückzahlung, ohne Danke, ohne ein Wort wieder weg. Das geht garnicht, Trinkgeld bei den sehr guten Speisen gerne, aber..., so nicht. Wir haben den Service nach dem Restgeld gefragt, es herausbekommen, tschuldigung und das war es. Service war wohl etwas überfordert. Wir kommen gerne wieder nach Xanten und werden es noch mal probieren.

Es war super, Essen klasse, Bedienung hervorragend, nett, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Immer wieder mal gerne.

Steak Nr. 112 bestellt und es war super lecker! Tolles Fleisch auf den Punkt mit leckerer Soße und Beilagen. Schönes Ambiente und unglaublich freundlicher Service runden das stimmige Gesamtpaket ab. Ein Ort, den man gerne wieder besucht.
