Babushka's in Berlin

We got here through reviews on Google Maps. Food very tasty. Homemade Russian cuisine. Very fast and efficient service. Affordable prices. A bit unstylish decor. A place in a socialist realist pavilion from the 1950s. I sincerely recommend it.

I would like to leave a better review, but I’m afraid that the tongue that, instead of a juicy cheburek with meat, was gnawing on deep-fried dough, in which a piece of meat seemed to randomly appear, would not turn. At the very beginning there was more meat, it was just a thrill. And in Uber Eats they offer 1+1 for chebureki, but if you add 4 together, then perhaps in terms of the amount of meat you get 2. In general, it’s delicious, but I feel deceived. You can't do that! The rest of the food (I tried chicken, cutlets) was generally edible. Not WOW, but not a disaster either, let's say something very average, homemade. Perhaps I will order from there in the future, but definitely not pasties. And also, I took pancakes there, 8 € for 3 pancakes, just an insignificant portion, I highly do not recommend it. At most as a dessert, and then...

Amazing spot in Hansaplatz. Real home cooking that is made with love by the owner. It was my first time trying Eastern European food and what a place to begin my journey!

Mercilessly convinced! I was really happy to be able to experience Russian cuisine on the go. It is a small snack bar with outdoor seating. The owner was really friendly and helpful when he noticed that we were checking out how things were going there. Food came quickly and was super tasty, reminded me of home. My friend, who has tried Russian dishes, was blown away by Chebureki. We also found the price-performance ratio to be right.

Amazing authentic food in an out-of-the-way location. Staff was friendly and helpful even though we didn't speak German. Would 100% recommend if you want a quick bite!

We discovered Babushka’s completely by chance during Berlin Pride. Food at its best, great atmosphere, best service, great shop! We are looking forward to the next time.

Small place next to the Hansaplatz metro, I wouldn't call it a restaurant, where you can taste various dishes of Eastern European cuisine. There is possibility to sit outside only. The menu offers various dishes, as well as typical drinks. I tried both the pierogi in two versions with potatoes and cabbage and the chebureki with cheese inside. Very simple but good flavours, as well as not too intrusive frying. The guy at the checkout was very kind and friendly. Average prices!!! All done by two ladies, I forgot!

Ordered Wareniki twice from Uber Eats to the company. According to the description, there should be sour cream and butter. Then came Vareniki WITHOUT sour cream and butter. Vareniki WITHOUT sour cream? No thanks. Ruined our lunch. Update: I gave the store a second chance, this time ordering the beef cutlets with mashed potatoes. This time everything was there and the food was TOP!

Babushka's is the place I would look for if I want to eat good food, we tried all the dishes and they are all delicious and the person serving is always very friendly.

Delicious food. After reading some negative reviews, I was a bit skeptical, but I ordered the Kiev cutlet and borscht via Uber Eats and everything was delicious, home-made and flawless. If someone likes eastern climates, I highly recommend it!

I rarely write reviews, but in this case I am forced to do so to warn potential customers. We ordered through Uber Eats. The order was well packaged, the hot dishes were in thermal boxes and arrived to us still hot. This fact made us very happy and we began to try the dishes we ordered. Now in order: 1) The dumplings are disgusting. The dough is thick, the filling has no taste. Even frozen machine-made dumplings from some store with Ukrainian/Russian products are much better. 2) I had to give the Olivier salad to the dog. I have never tasted such a tasty Olivier. 3) For some reason the Venegret was brought without pickled cucumbers and not seasoned with oil. But there were beans in the salad; why they were added there remains a mystery. Perhaps this is grandma's secret recipe. In general, the salad has no taste, just boiled vegetables chopped into rough pieces. You definitely won't get any satisfaction from it. 4) Coleslaw is not bad. I would be surprised if they managed to ruin it too. 5) Chebureks for some reason contain cottage cheese, but they’re pretty good. You can eat. The owner of this establishment should seriously think about changing the chef or teaching him/her how to cook. Instead of enjoying dinner, we had to urgently order food elsewhere. Ordering from this restaurant was a waste of time and money. Guys, Russian/Ukrainian cuisine is not so difficult to prepare. Even the mentally retarded can learn to make delicious dumplings, and even more so venegret. Please do something about this. For lovers of Russian/Ukrainian cuisine, I recommend looking for another restaurant so as not to ruin your day.

I am big fun of the Russian food. However, this place is not worth it. The food is poorly prepared, not tasty at all. The meat in the pelmeni is literally testless, also there is too much dough. The salads are terrible. Avoid this place at all costs.

Unfortunately I didn't like the quality of the food. Of course it's a matter of taste, but the inside of the cafe is quite dirty and greasy. The prices are quite large in relation to the portion size. It's better to take a kebab.

Babushka is super nice and cooks extremely delicious home cooking. The cabbage rolls are simply awesome. I'd love to visit more often.

Eat like grandma’s at home! Top shop with super lovely women who prepare really good Eastern European food. We had pelmeni, vareniki and prioshki which all tasted wonderful! Kudos to the chefs :) We'll definitely be back!

I'm really picky and a picky eater but the chicken was really tasty and the consistency was great too. But these blinis... I don't know what's in them but they taste so good

Не понятно что конкретно так понравилось, тем кто писал восхищенные отзывы. Видимо у людей крайне заниженные стандарты. Борщ очень столовский. Голубцы непотребные. Венигрет в принципе съедобный, но не супер. Может конечно пельмени и вареники хорошие - не брала. И я этого уже не узнаю, поскольку не вернусь. Особенно странными кажутся отзывы о том что место красивое. Это просто ларёк с некрасиво оформленной столовской кухней и недешевой едой на вынос.

Got an order through Uber Eats. In short - It is ok if you are hungry and short on time. We got borsht and chebureki. Borscht was alright; having pelmeni floating in it was a bit of a weird deviation of the original recipe, but it is ok. Chebureki weren't really good - got heartburn after eating. Either oil or minced meat for chebureki were not really fresh. Utensils were requested but not included

Klasse essen . Eher durch Zufall hat meine Frau gefunden .abzuluter geheim Tip da es nicht einfach zu finden ist. Volle 5 Sterne und wenn ich könnte noch drei drauf . Einige kennen mich hier aus Berlin ich fahre fast überall hin . Aber der Laden ist echt der Hammer 🔨 und das noch ganz nah bei mir um die Ecke. Herrlich.

A nice place to eat while on a walk through the Hansaviertel. All of the food we ordered was obviously homemade; the chebureki were especially fresh and crispy. And as others have noted, the staff was very friendly. Kudos to the chef, she really puts in a lot of effort. Will definitely eat here again.

Очень вкусно! Но иногда приходится подождать заказы, потому что очень много заказов, но это того стоит. Было бы круто если бы это был ресторан украинской и русской кухни (я имею ввиду помещение побольше и состав команды) Дальше больше!

Das Essen schmeckt einfach sooo gut & authentisch. Wir hatten den Vorspeise Teller, den Pelmeni Auflauf und Borschtsch. Vor allem der Pelmeni Auflauf war göttlich! Wir kommen definitv wieder :)

Wie hatten okroschka und deduschkas special. War beides super lecker 😋. Alle waren sehr freundlich. Kommen gerne wieder.

Das Restaurant befindet sich direkt an der U-Bahn Station. Wir standen vor der Karte und haben uns reichlich für die Entscheidung Zeit gelassen. Die Köchin hat uns nicht dabei gestört oder ist aufdringlich geworden, und ein weiterer Herr hat uns erklärt was einige der Gerichte sind, sehr nett! Das war sehr angenehm. Wir bestellten Piroschki, einmal mit Sauerkraut, das 2. mit Kartoffel gefüllt, insgesamt 5€ und Hähnchenkeule 12 € und Pelmeni gefüllt mit Hackfleisch 8 €. Die Pelmeni waren sehr lecker, aber wir fanden zu wenig, bzw. dafür sehr klein. Die Hähnchenkeule mit Kartoffelbrei als Beilage war gut gewürzt und lecker! Die Piroschki sind nicht so meins, aber auch gut zubereitet und das Sauerkraut sehr lecker gewürzt! War angenehmes Ambiente am Abend. Ich würde es nochmal besuchen kommen!

Hier schmeckt das wirklich wie bei meiner Oma.Sehr lecker .Borsch hat bombastisch geschmeckt dazu habe ich noch Piroschki mit Sauerkraut genommen- der Teig war super und ausreichend Füllung drin 🤌🏻👌🏻komme auf jeden Fall noch mal vorbei

Hammer essen! Alles selbst gemacht! Wir sind extra aus Hamburg hin, um da zu essen und natürlich auch bissel Berlin anzugucken. Super empfehlenswert und lecker hausgemachtes essen zu essen! 🇷🇺 ❤️

Мне было не вкусно ! Вареники с картошкой заказала , на вид и подача супер , а внутри холодное пюре и еще без вкусное . Перед этим я брала оливье , то мне было не очень вкусно так же .

Leider kann ich nichts zum Essen sagen, da ich nichts bekommen habe. Ich hatte mir was reserviert über die App to good to go. Als ich den Laden endlich gefunden hatte (sehr umständliche Beschreibung), war niemand zu sehen und kein Eingang zu finden. Die ältere Dame, die in der Küche saß, hat mich einfach ignoriert (oder nicht verstanden). Nachdem ich ziemlich hilflos rumstand, hat mich ein junger Mann angesprochen. Er gehörte augenscheinlich zum Imbiss. Ich habe ihm mein Anliegen erklärt. Ach, das wurde storniert! Super, eine Stunde vor Beginn der Abholzeit war noch nichts storniert. Die sehr unfreundliche Bemerkung: "Es geht auch höflicher" kann ich nur zurückgeben. Ich als Nutzer der App kann zwei Stunden vor der Abholzeit nicht mehr stornieren. Die Bewertungen, die ich hier gelesen habe, sind recht gut. Um so mehr tut es mir leid, dass ich nicht die Chance hatte, es selbst auszuprobieren. Und den langen Weg vom östlichen Rand von Berlin an den Hansaplatz mache ich bestimmt nicht wieder.

In Love with Babushka's.. I tried so many dishes here but this one of my favorite is 'Borscht-Burger'. It's the best place to get your own peace, chilling out with friends and Trust me, The Staff is too kind, Friendly and Prompt in service... Must Visit Once..11/10 for this place..
