Absolutely fantastic! The food was outstanding, and the staff was top notch super friendly and helpful. This place will definitely be on my list the next time I visit Berlin!

Got the wraps that were good. The staff let us order just before they were closing, as most places had already closed their kitchens for the night.

These are not real shawarma… the rental workers are unfriendly… never again.

Ordered at 11.40 via Lieferando, delivered at 1.25 p.m. For "estimated delivery time 25 minutes" that's pretty late. Food was ok, not great

I visited Esra today, the employee clearly had passion for his job and I got an extremely fresh, aromatic and delicious falafel in bread. The best falafel in Bread in Berlin!

I have never waited so long for a hummus plate in any restaurant in Berlin. It took 20 minutes even though there wasn't much going on. The plate was prepared in bullet time and consisted of two tablespoons of hummus for 5.50. it was so little that I was finished after 30 seconds. Being ripped off at home cooking feels degrading. The hummus itself was...well...if you ask me, it's a tourist trap.

We stumbled across this restaurant on a quick visit to this area. We arrived a little early for the normal lunchtime, about 11am, and we were the only ones there. We studied the menu but couldn't read it or speak the language so we asked the kind man behind the counter to surprise us. I wish I knew his name. He sure did surprise us! He cooked us a huge variety of fresh, delicious foods! Everything was cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. It was one of the very best meals we ate on our whole vacation! I saved the receipt so I could look it up and write this review. It was THAT GOOD! When we were done, we thanked the man several times and asked where he was from. He told us he was from Beirut and the food was Saudi Arabian cuisine. We were delighted to have such a fantastic meal and the man made us feel very special.

Best falafel in Berlin. I'm there every week. The worker with the green eyes who is always there on Monday evenings is always very friendly and remembers how you like your falafel. Makes the best falafel for me.

Such a pity ... they used to be the one of the finest in Berlin. now they changed their interior fitting "Mitte vibe" and writing down "vegan& veggie" but the quality got so much worse. Putting pommes inside of shawarma to make it bigger but barely no veggies anymore and the price got much higher .... so sad they took this way that the quality has gone bad and price got higher..

The Esra is not a but now nicely decorated. Food is very very tasty 😋 and the service is excellent.

We wanted döner or shawarma, but also something else. Esra seemed like a good fit: we got shawarma, a köfte bread and a falafel plate. All were very good and moderately priced, everybody was very happy afterwards.

Had a great evening meal here recently while on a visit to Berlin. Delicious food served promptly and with a smile. Friendly staff helped us with food selection as we are not German speakers. Recommend.

Yesterday we had an unpleasant encounter with strange men who followed us. We then went to Esra to escape and the staff immediately offered us tea and recommended food. The food was very tasty and the staff were really very friendly. We felt safe. We recommend.

Edit 2024: renovated venue with many more seats. The quality has remained, but unfortunately they have increased the prices and reduced the portions. Sin!! Super! I tried the falafel dish, abundant and tasty food also served with typical bread. I also tried the falafel piadina, recommended!! Edit: I went back many more times, it has become my go-to Falafel. The best found here in Berlin!

Makali kufte menu was very delicious and had plenty of variety. The lighting is a little dim, but the atmosphere can be said to be good. A place to visit again.

Unfortunately the portions are tiny. A plate of falafel or kofta alone won't fill you up. The store is generally far too bright.

Get a good quality shawarma sandwich for €6! There could have been a little more meat and I couldn't taste the hummus, but the salad was fresh and the pickled cucumbers were great! I think the price and quality are fair, especially because the usual fast food chains there on Alex charge significantly more money than usual, so it's better to walk one minute more to Esra!

Ich habe Falafel in Brot bestellt, standard Größe für 5 €, es war lecker, heiß und fresh, die Mitarbeiter sind auch sehr freundlich. Drin gibt es Toilette. Man kann auch mit Karte bezahlen! Ich werde es weiter empfehlen ❤️

If you're looking for a falafel close to Alexanderplatz this might be an option. The food is fine and there's plenty of options. In most other place other than Berlin I would rate this place higher, but in Berlin this is below average for this type of restaurant. If you got the time to look around you can get significantly better for less.

Schöne Laternen die ein bisschen mehr von der Kultur preisgeben ; Mein Schawarma war geschmacklich gut abgestimmt leicht scharf wie Ich mir das gewünscht habe . Der saure Geschmack von den Gurken und die süße vom Mais haben mir geschmacklich imponiert. Weiter so Als Nachspeise hab Ich mir ein Schwarztee mit frischer Minze bestellt . Dazu gab es eine Süße Baklava Nachspeise. Der Tee war sehr gut 👍

Wir waren spät Abends am Wochenende dort. Personal war sehr freundlich und das Essen tasty. Hatten eine schöne Auswahl allerlei arabischer Gerichte.

Unfreundlicher Mitarbeiter bei der Bestellung. . Tische schmierig dreckig. Auf dem Halloumi Teller für 10€ ! war fast nichts drauf. Mehr Teller als alles andere. Davon konnte man nicht ansatzweise satt werden. Sowas kenne ich von keinem anderen Falafel Laden in Berlin. Bei Beschwerde keine Einsicht. Nie wieder.

Also bestellt lieber keine Teller wenn ihr unbedingt hier essen oder der Meinung seid, dass ihr probieren müsst. (Für 9+€ kann man viel besseres bekommen) Preis Leistung ist schlecht, es gibt definitiv bessere Läden. Fleisch und Falafel sehr trocken und alles vom Geschmack her wirklich nichts besonderes. Couscous und der Salat schmeckte schon verfault. Wenn die denken mit so einem schlechten Essen, Service und vor allem für die Preise weiter zu machen, sag ich gerne tschüss für immer. Keine Empfehlung.

I work in the area so used to be an Esra regular. Knowing how crazy busy it gets at 12:00 I took initiative to go before that. To my surprise, I was given a significantly smaller portion (-30%) than any of the prior times. Maybe it was me speaking English or coming at a non rush hour that you assumed I was a tourist and was not worth the effort to win me as a regular, but after this I am definitely not coming back to play roulette to see what portion size I get on the day.

We tried Esra teller dish, which contains a little bit of everything. It was nice. The Falafel was really good. And the staff were nice and speaking good English.

Located near Alexanderplatz with small walk around. Place offers Schwarma with options to have a Roll or on plate with Salad. I personally found it just fine, meat is marinated with good taste. Although we were served which was bit dry. Chicken Schwarma roll was also good but not that spicy despite being ordered as spicy. There is seating place inside and outside both. Prices are moderate. Overall nice place to visit if you are around and want to taste Middle East food.

Delicious! I'm from the US and had no idea what I was doing. The employee just asked me a couple questions and said he'd make a plate for me. I didn't really make any choices. He brought it out and it was delicious! I got falafel and they were the best falafels I've ever had. The plate was a little spicy which I love! But warning for those who don't. You can easily tell them that. The place has vegan options.
