10er Ćevape gegessen. Waren echt mega. Lebe 48jahre in Frankfurt und muss sagen er zählt zu einem der besten. Preise sind auch sehr akzeptabel. Bilo je baš dobro.

Avlija Balkan Grill hat uns total begeistert! Der Pascha Burger und die Cevapcici mit Kajmak waren unglaublich lecker, alles frisch und mit viel Geschmack. Mein Mann und ich waren wirklich sehr zufrieden. Eigentlich wollte ich noch Fotos machen, aber das Essen war einfach zu lecker und schneller aufgegessen als gedacht 😂 Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Ich war mit Freunden dort und wir bestellten einen Teller für vier Personen – die Portionen waren wirklich großzügig, und der Besitzer spart offensichtlich weder an der Menge noch an der Qualität. 😃 Das Personal ist sehr gastfreundlich und zuvorkommend, und die Atmosphäre ist angenehm und entspannt. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die gut essen und sich wohlfühlen möchten.

Top Qualität, Top Preis, empfehlenswert!

Ungemütliche Stühle, Selbstbedienung ohne Karte (man muss von drinnen nach draußen um auf die Karte zu schauen). Alle Fleischsorten vom Grillteller von keiner guter Qualität und Geschmack. Der Hänchenspieß war ok. Der Salat und das Brot noch das beste.

Authentischer Balkan-Grill, genauer gesagt aus Bosnien und Herzegowina. Faire Preise und ein sehr angenehmer Besitzer. Ich habe auch schon das Catering vom Restaurant Avlija in Anspruch genommen und alles war perfekt. Nach meiner (begrenzten) Erfahrung mit Balkan-Grill in Frankfurt (und Umgebung) ist das Avlija mit Abstand der beste und authentischste Ort dafür.

Grillplatte für 16 Euro. Die Portion reichte für drei Personen. Alles war sehr lecker! Leider dauerte es über 30 Minuten, bis wir das Essen bekamen, obwohl wir die ersten Gäste waren, aber das Warten hat sich gelohnt.

Nur ein paar lobende Worte: Jedes Mal, wenn wir in Frankfurt sind, besuchen wir zuerst das Restaurant Avlija. Das Essen ist köstlich, die Ćevapčići im Brötchen mit Kajmak, Zwiebeln und Ajvar sind hier unübertroffen. Alles, was wir bestellt haben, war zordanden. Ein großes Lob an das Personal und den Chef! Wir empfehlen es jedem, der eine gemütliche Atmosphäre und gutes Essen sucht. Bis zum nächsten Mal!

Alles in allem war es in Ordnung, aber nichts Besonderes. Die Ćevapčići waren lecker, wenn auch nicht die besten, die ich je gegessen habe, und die Lepinja war etwas trocken, was das Gesamterlebnis etwas trübte. Trotzdem war das Essen ordentlich und das Lokal ist durchaus zu empfehlen, wenn man in der Gegend Lust auf Balkan-Grill hat.

The best restaurant for kebabs.

When it comes to value for money and the food itself, there’s really nothing to complain about – it’s simply excellent! Since the owners are Bosnian, the entire menu is pork-free, which is a great foundation for attracting a wide range of customers in Frankfurt. The shop and kitchen are small, which unfortunately means that around lunchtime it’s best not to call – walk-in customers are served first, and the phone is only answered if there’s really time.

Food was awesome but 50 min wait was a bit long

Overall, very good! I will definitely come back again. The price-performance ratio is good. Everything is grilled beautifully, but unfortunately, the minced meat pieces (cevapcici, the one on the skewer, and the large piece of minced steak) were very oversalted for my taste. The potatoes, on the other hand, were completely salty. I would improve that. The chicken, on the other hand, was very well seasoned. The side salad was delicious, and the bread was warm and fresh.

We've been to this restaurant several times and have always really liked it. Unfortunately, our last visit was very disappointing. We had to wait over an hour for our food, which is simply far too long for a restaurant of this size. It was particularly frustrating that guests who arrived after us and ordered later received their food much faster and were even ready while we were still waiting. This, of course, caused frustration and didn't leave a good impression. The food itself was, as we're used to, delicious and freshly prepared. So, it's not the kitchen's fault. The problem is clearly the service. There's no table service anymore; you have to order your food at the counter and pick it up yourself later. That wouldn't be a problem in itself if it at least ran smoothly. It used to be different, and this difference is unfortunately having a negative impact now. Overall, the visit was disappointing. If the service doesn't improve, we'll think twice about coming back. It's a shame, because the food is really good, but organization and hospitality are at least as important.

We are visiting Germany from the states. We wanted something different then what we can find back home, affordable, and delicious. This checked all the boxes. We've been to several restaurants now since getting here and this has been our favorite so far. When we first walked up we almost left because we couldn't read the menu, but the nice man inside walked us through the meat options and helped us order. I got the kabobs which were so good, and my husband got the amazing (and also massive) burger. It was delicious but just know it's enough burger for 4 people. But we loved the food!!!! And the price was very fair especially for the portions.

The food tasted really good, I was very surprised and satisfied because I have already tried all the Balkan restaurants. Cevapcici with Kajmak surpassed everything, crispy flatbread, honest recommendation.

By far the best cevape in Frankfurt. Traditionally in flatbread. You also have to try the Pascha burger - the combination of Pljeskavica with Ajvar and Kraut is a completely different experience than the burgers on every corner and don't forget Cockta. The daily smells are highly recommended

I saw the male customer in front of me order a grillteller and it looked delicious so I ordered it, but the owner told me to share one between the two of us and restrained me ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Even after two women ate it, there was still some left. The meat didn't smell, was fresh, and really delicious 🫶🏻🫶🏻

We ended up there by chance and spontaneously and were pleasantly surprised 😁 The grill plate (€17.50) is really big and really tasty. The host then adapts it directly to the number and hunger of the eaters - then there's a huge platter 😉

We were at the zoo and came across this Balkan Grill while looking for good Balkan food - super tasty! We ate the cevapcici with bread, ajvar, kaymak and onions. Everything was very good and the bread was homemade. That was a pleasure! Yes, you pick up your own food and drinks, but that doesn't affect the rating because this is not a restaurant but a snack bar. The staff is also very friendly. Thank you!

The cevapcici are very tasty. But I can't guarantee whether they are Halal (I don't advertise them either). If this is insisted upon, believing brothers should perhaps eat elsewhere as alcohol is also sold here. These are brothers who probably don't take faith too seriously. The owner himself is a bit grumpy, taciturn and doesn't demonstrate customer friendliness. It could be that he is just like that, but it can be seen as unfriendly.

Cozy and welcoming 🏠, and the team there is so friendly that you almost feel like you're eating with friends 👨‍🍳❤️. The first and last time I ate there. There were three of us and we ordered cavape, one of the worst cavape I have ever eaten. Lepina (bread) tasteless and dry Meat has no taste and is like rubber The drinks were warm (cola) No menu cards at the seats, you have to go outside to take a photo of the menu in order to get racks. We had to pick up our own food because we were forgotten. During the entire time, the remaining food and drinks from our predecessors were on our table. Nobody was able to clear our table, very bad service. The only thing that was good was the onion...
