19nov2024 after 21.00 i think i ve missed to talk to a supervibeful & beautiful (italo-?)american girl that has had dinner w her friend (table of 2) beside a table of italians (table of 5) ... hahaha can t get rid of her face, even i forced a lot not to turn nor talk to her, especially after she stood up...strange! ...she will never read this... anyhow, food was ok, apart always this sweet thing on the dumplins, arrived soon; waiter needs to do some math and mnemo training haha and not insist w the old cash story...all in all an ok, would go back to meet that one girl hahaha

Although the staff was a little confused, we managed to communicate. The food was very good, and the atmosphere friendly. I enjoyed eating here. Definitely recommending :)

The food was decent, with a few highlights, but the service was mixed. One waitress was friendly and attentive, creating a positive experience, while another seemed rushed and a bit curt, which impacted the overall atmosphere. The restaurant was otherwise well-maintained. There’s room for improvement, particularly in consistency in service and hygiene.

All very delicious and very well priced. We ordered duck udon, chicken udon and Pho soup. Good option near Checkpoint Charlie.

The bento boxes are a really good idea, so we were able to try out the menu a little - everything was SUPER DELICIOUS!

Very nice authentic place to have some Vietnamese/Thai food. I often visit during lunch time, they have the concept of a vento box which has various food items in a plate. Definitely recommended.

We enjoyed it very much, so we came back after two days. As soon as we come to Berlin next time, we are looking forward to the Bento Box again.

I had the pleasure of eating at this wonderful restaurant and it was a truly amazing experience! The space is calm and inviting, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, you can tell that they are passionate about their work. I would particularly like to highlight the food – it was simply delicious and incredibly authentic. You really feel like you're in Vietnam, even though you're right in the heart of Berlin. I'll definitely be back!

I visited this Asian restaurant in Berlin and had mixed experiences. The starters were an avocado salad and a coconut soup. While the avocado salad was a disappointment, the coconut soup scored points in terms of taste. I can't remember the name of the main course, but it was pretty average: the salmon was fried on the skin, which wasn't quite my taste, and the vegetables were solid, but without any wow factor. The ambience was okay, but not exceptional either – it fits with the overall impression. The prices were fair, and despite the store being full, I received quick service. Overall, a restaurant that was okay but didn't blow me away.

Disappointing. Sushi were falling apart, in main dish-chicken was burned and vegetables not fully cooked. Soup was not good, didn’t even felt like dumping soup but something else. Came to eat being hungry, left hungry as well.

The food is very good. The staff prefers to receive cash. They accept card as well. During lunch hours it’s usually very full. On the weekend and in the afternoon its essier to get a table wirh out needing a reservation.

Good spot for your lunch break. The Bento Box offers a good selection - something for everyone. The service is also friendly. Arrive in time for lunch, it will get a bit busy at some point.

Very large selection of dishes. A lot of unrest because the dining room has a long hose. But the very delicious food makes up for it.

Enormous offering of different Asian foods, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, all super fresh and tasty. We ate here 2 out of the 3 nights we were in Berlin.

Very cute, clean and friendly environment here in Berlin. The gentleman greeted my boyfriend and I with a smile and seated us fast. Even with a language barrier he was helpful with taking our orders. Definitely should try a bento box for 11,50 euros. Very filling. I am extremely satisfied and I would recommend 10/10 for a date nite or great food in general.

This place is 10/10! My chicken was well seasoned, the noodles were perfect, and the flavors were just what I was looking for. 😋 I also enjoyed the friendly service and how quickly the food came out to us. We would definitely eat here again and recommend coming here for dinner. Thanks again.

Cibo molto buono e il menù presenta una vasta scelta, dagli udon al sushi alla carne. Il costo è normale, forse un po’ elevato per le bevande. Il cameriere è stato un po’ scortese.

Hand on heart, one of the best Asian meals we have ever had. Excellent service, very reasonable prices. Crispy Spring Rolls ( both meat and vegetarian) were superb, really crunchy with a lot of flavour. Sashimi top quality and our red curries (Chicken and shrimp) very tasty . Large portions. The short wine list is not expensive. we were able to sit outside. Our only criticism is that the interior decor is very plain and lacks atmosphere - but the warm welcome and the astonishingly good food make up for that ! we will be back !

Very great food. Very hardworking and nimble employees. Always friendly. Only if you sit outside on the other side of the street do you have to wait a little longer for service and food. Otherwise great.

I work very close by and have tried almost all the restaurants in the area for lunch. AVAN is a very good option with a great price-performance ratio, super efficient and friendly German-speaking service, plenty of space to sit outside in summer and a small selection of delicious dishes. The weekly menus cost from 8.90 euros. The bento box is particularly recommended. The food comes very quickly, so you don't waste much time waiting.

Lovely food. Freshly ccoked. very tasty. Friendly staff. We were staying at the hotel above and we were very pleased to find such a lovely restaurant so close by. You dont have to be staying at the hotel. You can also enter from the street, or sit outside. A great place to eat.

Addendum: Unfortunately you are mistaken. We had two small waters and a ginger tea. It's incredibly kind of you that the incorrect mental arithmetic result was corrected with a correct result when the order (which was probably not intended) was finally pulled through the cash register system. No one apologized for the first incorrect amount, which would probably have been paid if we had had cash with us. The €60 was paid because we had assumed that the first amount was correct (again: we had neither explanation nor excuse), your employee entered the tip herself into the payment device. Simply use a cash register system and tax the income, then this won't happen again. :) I also wish you good luck and satisfaction in life, thank you! :) Fraud and a case for the tax office. This was my third time here. The first time ok, but no bill (we trusted the amount we were told). Went there with a visitor the second time. Instead of the bento box, the respective dishes were brought “large” three times. Although a bento box was ordered with a completed form (the error was on the service side), the incorrect dishes that were delivered were charged in full. My mother hasn't gone since then. I was just there again. After the meal the waitress came and said with a big smile that we had to pay €61.30. Since the person paying only had a card with them, someone was then sent out to us with the card reader. Surprise: According to the bill, the meal only cost €55.20! When someone in our group said in surprise that it had been €61 earlier, the waitress silently canceled the payment and entered €61 again. The person paying thought the bill was probably wrong and then paid the €61. We only understood that they had tried to rip us off when we realized that with four dishes at €11 each, the drinks (two of which were small water) couldn't possibly have cost €20. Tax evasion or not (unfortunately common in the catering industry), this number didn't work at all! Absolutely disgusting. P.S. There is obviously no cash register system, otherwise the incorrect amount would not have come up in the first place.

Aanbeveling voor de Aziatisch fijn proevers in Berlijn. Vriendelijke bediening, vers eten, lekker koriander. Zit vast aan ons hotel dus we waren er dagelijks te vinden. Misschien zijn we dan ook niet objectief maar als het niet lekker zou zijn was ik er zeker niet vaak te vinden.

The food is delicious. The soup is delicious. But the service is very slow. When checking out, I asked to swipe a card, and the waitress said that only cash payments were available. After checking out, I found at the door that they had posted an icon for credit card payment.

I was there in a large group and had called ahead and asked if gluten-free food could be made. The person concerned had to send both of their meals back because it wasn't gluten-free. They simply forgot that. In addition, we waited a comparatively long time for everything. I had the summer rolls as a starter. You were good. I asked if you could make me a vegan pro. I thought it automatically had tofu in it. Unfortunately that wasn't it. Unfortunately I could only eat very little of the soup because it was very salty. But the waitress was very friendly and offered to make a new soup to take away or summer rolls. That was very nice, but I still wouldn't come back.

Very tasty Vietnamese cuisine and friendly staff. Here you can get the best summer rolls and the best Bun Bo Nam Bo in town.

I ate at three Vietnamese pho restaurants in Berlin, and theirs was the most delicious! The soup is fresh and sweet, and it looks like it has been cooked for a long time. The rice noodles are delicious and the soup is full of spices. The boss also thoughtfully brings spicy millet and green lemon. This is the soul of pho! There is really a lot of beef, and ginger slices are used in the soup base, which makes my whole body feel comfortable after eating it. As expected of Asian food! By the way, it is hidden on the first floor of a hotel. The curtain is very small and it is not easy to find. The boss and his wife are very enthusiastic and always have a smile on their faces.

We happened to walk by here yesterday but we had just eaten! The food looked so delicious that we went back today and we are SO glad we did. The place is immaculate, the owners are wonderful and the food is definitely very fresh and healthy. I had a salad with noodles, chicken and homemade teriyaki sauce (Avansalat). My husband had a delicious meal also (bun ga noon). We might go back!

Situated at the Gut Point Charlie hotel this is an amazing and unexpected find. There is a super menu and the food is flavoursome and delicious. Portions are generous to say the least and the price unexpectedly low for a major city. Staff very attentive and engaging - would recommend this restaurant highly

Tried this place when working away, excellent food the deep fried sushi was unbelievable! I will forsure be revisiting when next in Berlin. Menu 3 is a must try. Tempura 😍

Due to a diet, I am temporarily not allowed to eat many products and the waitress was very understanding and I was finally served a delicious dish! great tent!

We had the M10 sushi platter (2 people) at the AVAN and the food was very good. The initial service was very good but there was no follow-up service after we started to eat. I was expecting them to come back by so I could ask for another bear but they did not. When it came time to pay the bill the lady kept pressing us to pay cash even though there is a Visa sign on the front of the building. We pushed back on this and she was insistent on cash and I replied "you should have told us we need cash", but she did not reply. We were not very happy with their customer etiquette or service. The food was good though.

The restaurant is near Checkpoint Charlie. The food is very delicious. It is a very orthodox Vietnamese pho. The fried sushi is very unique. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and drinks in this small Asia fusion restaurant. We did not book but walked in on a Saturday night and were served quickly by a friendly waitress. Definitely recommend the bento box and we both had chicken red thai curry as a main meal.

Nice South/East Asian restaurant (Thai/Vietnamese/Sushi) open at lunchtime - because of the many office goers in the area - is quite well attended. In the warm season you can eat outside opposite the restaurant (see red umbrellas). AVAN's cuisine is fresh and delicious, and the staff is very friendly and prompt. There are no long waiting times. My recommendation is the BENTO box, in which three dishes (portioned in small bowls) can be selected from a designated part of the menu. Picture shows: Laotian curry, breaded tofu, vegetarian spring roll. Priced at EUR 11.50, there is also a soft drink included; I recommend the ginger tea. Dishes can also be pre-ordered and picked up by phone or online.

Very good restaurant, the dishes are not expensive and yet delicious. We were staying at the adjoining hotel and we ate there the 4 evenings we were there just to sample as much of their menu as possible. I recommend without hesitation

One of the woman serving tells you the card reader doesn’t work to avoid card payments. When you insist multiple times it magically starts working. When paying cash they keep the change without even asking. Next level rudeness.

The food was very tasty. The udon noodles in particular tasted very tasty. The Hugo and Aperol were really good for this price. We can't understand why the store was empty on a Friday evening. So feel free to stop by. There is also the option to sit outside. Toilets were clean too!

Avan is a small restaurant, and the seating may seem tight. However, the service is friendly and welcoming. The food...the food, it is so good!! Presentation, taste! I would give this food 10 stars if I could.

Food was ok, a highlight being the chicken dumplings, the staff were quick and friendly, some of the seats can be a little cramped.

If you order a bento (11.5 euros), you can choose 3 dishes from the menu. I think it's better to choose 3 items from the meal menu rather than the appetizer menu for a more satisfying meal. The seasoning was just right and it was delicious. All of the menu items I ordered had cilantro in them, but if you don't like cilantro, ask them to leave out the cilantro when ordering! If you visit during lunch time on a weekday and order the menu, you will receive free hot tea. I had Coconut Chicken Curry, Dumpling Soup, and Noodle Salad. The photo made it look like the food was full of vegetables, but in reality there was plenty of rice and noodles underneath, so I was full. The staff was friendly and answered questions with a smile. The restaurant also seemed to be clean.

Totally delicious food. Started with salmon/avocado, then had chicken with rice noodles and veg, and ended with pineapple/honey/ice cream. Every dish was so fresh and so tasty. And such generous portions. Also had a glass of excellent Cabernet Sauvignon. Very welcoming and kind service, too. Total for 1 = €29,60. HIGHLY recommended. (One suggestion - have some low-level ambient music as there were a few solo hotel residents dining and it would have created a more relaxed atmosphere !)

went twice, and ordered many dishes like pho, dumplings, tufu,。Udon... and overall my experience was satisfactory. the food were decent, didn't leave a lasting impression. but the speed of service is excelled. I was impressed how quickly the food arrived at my table. if you are looking for a quick meal without compromising on quality, than this place certainly delivers in terms of speed.

We came here yesterday and had pho, which turned out to be absolutely magnificent, so here we are again, having the pho of our lives. 🔥 When we visit Berlin again, we will definitely be back!
