Selbstbedienung, lautes Schlagerradio o.ä. an, kein Burger auf der Karte. Mit Kumpels auf Fahrrad sicherlich in Ordnung, aber wenn man ein Restaurant erwartet nicht.... Haben nicht dort gegessen.

Wir hatte einen schönen Aufenthalt bei gutem Essen und toller Aussicht. Das Lokal bietet nur Selbstbedienung.

1 Stern ist noch zu viel. Wartezeit auf das Essen, obwohl kaum etwas los war, über 40 Minuten!!! Und dann Pommes ohne Geschmack und verbrannter Flammkuchen! ABSOLUTE FRECHHEIT!!!! Personal unfreundlich, genervt und überfordert. Zweiter Teil: Die Reaktion war mir klar. Völlig frei erfunden. Uns hat niemand gefragt ob alles passt. Es gibt genug Zeugen, die meine Bewertung sofort unterschreiben würden. Es gab einige unzufriedene Gäste. Und von viel Betrieb, bei einer Auslastung von nicht einmal 1/4 der Plätze, kann ja wohl kaum die Rede sein. Was macht ihr wenn mal alles voll ist??!!!??? Eure Kündigung habt ihr nicht grundlos bekommen. Denkt mal darüber nach….

SB Ausflugslokal, draußen kann man nett sitzen, Schatten ist bei praller Sonne vorhanden. Wenn man Aussicht genießen will, dann gibt’s in der Nähe einen Aussichtsturm. Wir hatten Schaschlik mit Pommes, war ok. Leider nur Barzahlung möglich, daher Abzug beim Service.

Eine wunderschöne und einzigartige Location, die den eltern genug zeit bietet etwas sitzen zu bleiben, da die kinder sehr viel spielplatz auslaufen in einer gesicherten Umgebung haben. Großartiges Essen in schöner Turm in der gegend zur Besichtigung und Indirekte Nähe zur Fair Trade Stadtbad Rodach.

Toller Biergarten mit Selbstbedienung auf dem Georgenberg 👍 Ausflugsziel für Alt und Jung mit tollen Spielplatz. Nach oder vor einer Wanderung oder Radtour (oder einfach mal so) ein herrlicher Platz zum Einkehren. Genug Parkplätze vor der Tür. Bei schönem Wetter bitte Geduld mitbringen, da kann es sehr voll werden und der Service kommt kaum hinterher bei den Menschenmassen - warten lohnt sich aber 👍 Wir waren schon mehrfach dort - bei mehr oder weniger viel Betrieb - immer eine Reise wert!

Selten so schlecht gegessen, schade eigentlich. Kässpatzen verdienen ihren Namen nicht, sieht eher nach Mehlpampe aus... das Fleisch der Ochsenbäckchen war gut, aber die Soße geschmacklos und austauschbar. Beilagensalat ist eigentlich immer super in Franken, hier ist aber fast alles aus dem Glas... Und für recht viel Geld muss man sich alles selbst holen, Servietten sind offensichtlich aus, dafür steht eine Küchenrolle da... Ach ja, regionales Bier ist auch nicht zu finden. Gut ist die Aussicht in die Umgebung.

Der Georgenberg war früher mit Uwe noch wirklich eine tolle Gaststätte mit guten Essen. Heute wird man erschlagen von 1000 Schildern was es alles zu essen und trinken gibt. Total unübersichtlich. Es gibt drei Ausschankbereichen zum bestellen, aber nur ein Fenster wo man das Essen holt. Sogar für eine Tasse Café bekommt man einen Abholpiepser. Kein Fassbier, Radler aus der Flasche. Preise total überteuert. Auf der Brotzeitplatte nicht mal ordentliches Bauernbrot .... Wo ist die gute alte Zeit hin wo es frische Bratwürschte gab und klassisch fränkisches Essen. Weniger ist manchmal mehr! Dann würden die Rodacher vielleicht auch mal wieder vorbei schauen. Die Location, der Spielplatz und die Aussicht sind Klasse, das Angebot an Speisen und Service stark verbesserungsbedürftig.

Ein schön gelegenes Lokal mit tollem Biergarten, urigem Restaurant und einer tollen Bedienung. Das Essen war frisch gekocht,sehr lecker und mit Liebe zubereitet. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Lokal ist sehr zu empfehlen! Man sitzt gemütlich, umgeben von der Natur & für Kinder (toller Spielplatz) & alle Vierbeiner ist es ebenso toll. Auf der Speisekarte gibt es eine ganz verschiedene Auswahl, wo bestimmt jeder etwas passendes findet - Fleisch, Salat, Vegetarisch, versch. Beilagen, uvm. Auch die Getränkeauswahl ist groß. & wenn man ein "Süßer" oder eine "Süße" ist, wird man verwöhnt mit Eis oder ganz verschiedenen Kuchen. Ein großes Lob gilt dem Service! Immer freundlich & wenn es die Zeit zulässt, ein nettes Wort für jeden. & das Beste: An so Tagen wie heute (Muttertag) - wird trotz der vielen Gäste & dem Streß - versucht, alles perfekt zu machen! WEITER SO! Schade nur, dass der ein oder andere Gast dies gar nicht erkennt. Aber 99% waren tolle Leute bzw. nette Gäste! Wir kommen immer wieder gerne!

Auf jeden Fall ist dieser Ort sehr zu empfehlen, Essen, Service und Lokalität echt klasse. Wir können das Lokal am Georgenberg in Bad Rodach sehr empfehlen, das Essen ist top und auch das Personal ist sehr nett und freundlich. Auch wenn man einen Nachschlag möchte wird deer Wunsch immer sehr gerne erfüllt. Alles passt so wie es sein soll und der Biergarten ist echt bombastisch. Alle Daumen hoch für Claudi und ihr Personal. Wir kommen auf jeden Falle immer sehr gerne wieder.

Biergarten mit Selbstbedienung, der selbstgebackene Kuchen ist besonders empfehlenswert, der Kinderspielplatz ist das Highlight und direkt am Parkplatz ist der 30 Meter hohe Aussichtsturm einen Besuch wert.

Sehr gutes Essen! Der Braten war fantastisch und auch für Kinder ist allerhand dabei. Die Schnitzel werden frisch geklopf und das schmeckt man auch. Super nettes Team und tolles Ambiente.

Die Lage und Aussicht sind wirklich toll. Super ist auch, dass man mit dem Auto hinfahren kann, auch wenn sich die kleine Wanderung sehr lohnt. Der Spielplatz ist für die Kinder super! Wir mussten allerdings trotz überschaubarer Gästeanzahl leider einige Zeit am Bedienfenster anstehen. Die Preise für die Kuchen könnte ich außen nicht finden und war dann doch etwas geschockt, als ich für ein (einfaches) Stück Kuchen und eine Saftschorle 8,70€ bezahlen musste. Das ist für ein Selbstbedienrestaurant recht teuer.

Netter Biergarten zum verweilen, nach kurzem Aufstieg zum Georgenberg. Der Aufstieg dauert von Parkplatz am Thermalbad nur ca. 20 Minuten.. man hat einen schöner Ausblick. Vom Turm kann man den ganzen Landkreis sehen.

A wonderful place of hospitality. Super friendly service. Very child- and dog-friendly. Delicious food. (We've been here several times and have never been disappointed.) Parking on site. Perfect for short walks. Great observation tower. A refreshing drink afterwards. We'll be back again and again.

We came here for lunch with a bus group on a Wednesday. What can I say: we were thrilled! The food, service, and location were all truly fantastic! We couldn't find any fault. Many thanks to the team for a wonderful stay; we'll definitely be back!

Many years ago, we came here every week. These days, the service, selection, and quality aren't as great. But it's still great for kids.

A beautiful outdoor restaurant, excellent food, very friendly staff, and a stunning view of the surrounding countryside... simply: "a pearl in nature." The food is fresh and delicious.

Ready-made spaetzle and stale salad are pretty outrageous for the outrageously high prices. Not recommended. Never again.

We still remember the previous ones, when you could order whatever was on the menu, everything was delicious and freshly prepared, today in the height of summer there is salad in abundance and what do you get as a salad plate with schnitzel strips? Ready-made vegetables from a tin, a sliced tomato, two sakura leaves, no dressing, I just shake my head at that. That's how Germany eats. No thanks. A salad plate for €13.00.

We visited the restaurant on a Wednesday afternoon, beautifully situated in nature. They were apparently understaffed, and a somewhat grumpy chef felt more disturbed by the customers. No matter who asked, you had to wait until the chef had time, and this was explained very directly. It was still tasty, though, and we might come back again. We actually wanted to pick up some dog ice cream, but given the mood, we decided against it. Addendum July 25 We were in the area on our way back and stopped by spontaneously. Since we weren't hungry for schnitzel, we opted for Kaasspäzle. In our minds, you imagine it as crispy spaetzle fried with mountain cabbage and onions. What arrived was lukewarm spaetzle...white flour mush and dried onions for over 13 euros. It tasted as good as it looked. Both plates were returned half-finished. My wife had a stomach ache two to three hours later. You should have gotten your money back for something like that. No recommendation for the kitchen but the location remains great.

The visit on Sunday wasn't so good. Outside the beer garden there is a sign offering burgers, shashlik and so on. When I got inside I was disappointed to find that the menu is much smaller (on Sundays and public holidays) which you only see at the last glance at the cash register in a small window. The normal menu is on a large blackboard outside. There was no children's cocktail as they didn't have all the ingredients, which was okay so far. As the order was a bit mixed up I asked for a receipt and the two men at the counter were immediately a bit rude, so I decided not to bother with the receipt. When the food was ready (sauerbraten, cheese spaetzle and Obatzter) the sauerbraten looked very poorly prepared, with no salad or anything else, just two dumplings and three slices of meat, simply poorly prepared with a bit of sauce on the plate. The cheese spaetzle was just as poorly prepared here, but there was a salad with it. Only the Obatzter was really beautifully presented on a slate platter. All in all, I give this service 2 stars. I don't think I'll visit this place again.

Large menu but nothing on offer

Beautifully situated on a hill with magnificent views of the countryside stretching from Thuringia to Bavaria. From the observation tower, you have a 360° view. The food is freshly prepared; order a schnitzel and you'll hear the chef knocking. Delicious.

We walked to the restaurant today and, as a treat, we had goose breast with dumplings (and on a Wednesday 👌) and schnitzel with fries. It was almost coffee time, but the food was still hot, which was really great 👍. At first, we were the only guests, but later a few more joined us. This made it very quiet, which we really enjoyed. We'll definitely be back 😊.

Uns wurden Ochsenbäckchen mit Klößen und Blaukraut angeboten. Das Essen stand bereits 3 Minuten nach der Bestellung auf dem Tisch. 1 Schälchen Blaukraut mit der Bemerkung, das sei für beide, wir könnten ja nachbestellen. Die Klöße schmeckten fad, was natürlich auch an den Kartoffel liegen kann. Allerdings waren diese sogenannten Rutscherklöße auch für diese Art von Klößen verkocht und lagen matschig und unappetitlich auf dem Teller. Nach meiner Beschwerde kam darauf hin nur lapidar " das gehört so". Wir haben die Klöße nicht gegessen. Für das Essen wurde uns 18,60€ pro Person berechnet + 5,00 € extra für das Blaukraut. Möglich, dass viele hier schon sehr gut gegessen haben - an diesem Tag hatte die Küche wohl einen sehr schlechten Tag und der Wirt/Koch noch nichts von Service gehört

I was there on May 1st with two friends. As we were climbing up, a family told us that the meal took over an hour. We tried anyway. Although there were a lot of service people on duty, we gave up after 40 minutes. Nobody took our order. I'm sorry about the beautiful inn, but I can't recommend it more. Hungry, we started our descent again and stopped off in Stans, where we were very well served.

Celebrated a birthday there today. Ambience is great and there is a playground for children. Self-service. Staff is very friendly. Drinks were cold, food was ok, nothing special but not bad either. Prices are okay. Toilets are clean.

Very nice beer garden with a view into the distance. We were there at lunchtime and enjoyed a wild boar roast, which was really excellent. The service was very good.

Good bike route, great view, nice beer garden... Unfortunately, due to the many signs and notices, you can't really see where you have to go and what's on offer that day. Menu could be a little clearer. Unfortunately there were no cheese spaetzle, they were just spaetzle with some kind of mixed cream sauce with canned fried onions, unfortunately no trace of cheese and braised onions... a little more attention to detail would do you good. Maybe a few fewer dishes and prefer everything fresh and homemade. Unfortunately, the large salad plate only had ready-made canned salads slapped together. Since we know a bit about gastronomy, we notice this straight away. Unfortunately, the chef, who was also serving/checkout that day, also seemed a bit stressed and complained loudly about it. He can't spray because he's usually only in the kitchen. Maybe you could say it a little differently. Conclusion : Location - if a little neater/clearer - top, Food and service could be improved

We celebrated our son's confirmation. Already in the preliminary conversation a very friendly and nice contact. Our special requests were addressed without hesitation, and what's more, the kitchen also made suggestions which we gratefully accepted. On the day of the celebration we would be warmly welcomed. The selection of roasts was brought to the tables on platters and I think there was enough choice of dishes from the menu for our vegetarian guests. The food was very, very tasty, especially the goose breast, a dream. We, our guests and especially the confirmation candidate were, or are, very satisfied and felt very comfortable. Wir haben die Konfirmation unseres Sohnes gefeiert. Schon im Vorfeld zur Planung sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Auf wünsche und Extras wurde ohne zögern eingegangen und Vorschläge unterbreitet die uns sehr positiv stimmten. Am Tag der Feier ein sehr freundlicher Empfang. Das Essen war sehr sehr gut, vor allem die Gänsebrust war ein Traum. Wir als Eltern, die Gäste und vor allem der Konfirmand waren sehr zufrieden

Hello, it still exists... the friendly, unselfish humanity 🫶On March 27th, 2025 our son was "stranded" on site with his bike. He was no longer able to continue driving. Because of this, he was offered to stay overnight in the barn for free with his sleeping bag and blanket. He was also offered a free breakfast. We can only thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️ that our son was able to stay overnight safely and securely. Because of this, we are convinced that your restaurant can only be recommended. Since I usually have a very positive attitude, I report the good things. The view was very nice and the hazelnut schnapps was good. (A Willi was ordered) There was food. The beer was good too.

The tarte flambée (classic) had very little topping. The €10 price tag is completely unjustified. The doors were open, which made it uncomfortably cold inside (in March).

There is a large selection of good home-cooked food, especially for vegetarians - and it was super tasty! Dogs are very welcome here and are pampered: there is even ice cream and many other treats for them. Thank you very much for the warm service! We'd love to come back.

We have just come from the so-called New Year's Eve menu. Earn money quickly for the house or quickly spent on us. In our opinion, it is absolutely not worth the price/performance ratio. The dessert was served with whipped cream. The corresponding spoons were given to one person's table in the wrong number....You pass them on... I was given aluminum foil to wrap up at the table for the food I didn't finish. The starter soup and the salad tasted good. However, everything is the same for 4 different menus. The plates were simply prepared. At a price of 45.90 to 79.90 euros we expected more service and to be honest, paper tablecloths are really inappropriate with a menu like this. Simply put, we are disappointed. I reserved the table for us by email. We didn't read anything about a menu on the homepage. Recommendation: take a look at the next menu at the spa hotel in Bad Rodach.

The card wasn't right and was very slimmed down. The dumplings were overcooked and almost liquid. There was no drinks menu and you had to guess drinks. It is only possible to pay in cash, but it is not listed anywhere. Yes, the staff was friendly. But unfortunately it wasn't enough for more stars!

Always worth a trip. Food fresh and delicious. The playground is a home for children. The view is priceless. And even with children it can be reached on foot via hiking trails from Bad Rodach train station in about 1 hour.

There was a strong smell of frying fat at the entrance even though there were no schnitzels and fries on the weekend. Cheese spaetzle tasted delicious.

Danger!!! Only cash payment is possible! We came to this idyllic excursion beer garden by chance. The food was very tasty, we all enjoyed it (unfortunately I didn't take any photos). I would particularly like to highlight the tagliatelle with chanterelles and the plum cake. But all other dishes were also very good. Unfortunately, self-service is required here. The lady at the counter was absolutely friendly and very humorous. There are also interesting entertainment options for the kids. Very pleasant atmosphere with partly beautiful views. You can absolutely recommend this location. We would love to come back.

We called spontaneously and got a table for 8 adults, a child and a baby. The food was freshly prepared. We passed the time on the great playground. All dishes (schnitzel, burger, cordon bleu and tarte flambée) were very tasty. At the end we went to the observation tower. A perfect family evening. We'll definitely come back again.

Even as a child, I always went to Georgenberg with my parents. Now I was there again after 50 years. And I have to say it hardly changed, I felt like I was back in my childhood. Of course it has been modernized here and there, but it is still the same as it was back then. The beautiful, large beer garden, the children's playground, the amazing view over Rodach, the window to pick up 😄 I think the prices for self-service are a bit high, but my tagliatelle with chanterelles was very good. The lady at the window is super nice 🥰 And cards at the table would be great... You first have to choose your food at a table and it takes a while to choose... and then when there are a few people standing there, it's stupid. Maybe a suggestion for next year because the beer garden season is unfortunately over now 🥺 but we'll definitely be back!!!!
