Your own salad is definitely delicious, service is quick and friendly. Preparing the main course takes some time but it's worth it.

Unbeatable lunchtime dishes at very reasonable prices. It makes sense to reserve in the evening. The regulars' table met here in the "Country Doctor". Table still available.

Vegetarians beware: I ordered the vegetarian pan with fried potatoes. After about an hour of waiting, the fried potatoes with bacon arrived. Not a word of regret from the stroppy waitress. I should have ordered vegetarian fried potatoes. So “vegetarian pan with vegetarian fried potatoes”. The location is quite nice. The pan that I then had to eat without any side dish was very oily, but otherwise okay.

Unfortunately the steak missed the desired cooking point. For miles. Forgot part of the drink requests. At least not on the bill.

Totally nice hotel in a prime location in the middle of Kappeln city center. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We will be back.

Unfortunately, compared to the last visit in 2022, the quality has generally deteriorated. The pork steak was gnarly, the portion size was reduced (you can actually ignore that since everything became more expensive), the French fries were more like steakhouse fries, the meat was very well done and the Cordeoun Bleu was lukewarm inside. A service worker was probably previously in the Bundeswehr, which is what the sound of the barracks yard suggests. I'm not the type to complain, but I also voiced this criticism. Since I spend my vacation here every 2 years, I will most likely give the Aurora a second chance in terms of quality. The menu on the website is still a very small minus. It is outdated and the food is on average 2 euros more expensive. I also mentioned that the map should be updated. All in all: disappointing this time

Haben durch Zufall ein sonniges Plätzchen im Außenbereich entdeckt. Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen freundlich. Karte und Getränke kamen trotz der vielen Gäste zügig. Das Essen war lecker und schön angerichtet.

We went to Aurora for lunch. For the first time in 10 years we are coming to Kappeln. We are absolutely thrilled. The food is very tasty and the lunch menu is very cheap and sufficient. The service is great.

We ate outside on the terrace in June. I can't say anything about the hotel. From the lunch menu we had a grill plate with two types of dips and an Aurora salad, which is normally served with baked potatoes. It was over and I had toasted bread, which was also very tasty. The prices of grill plates for 11.90 euros and salad with turkey for 10.90 at lunchtime are unbeatable these days. The staff seemed very distant, but we were served politely. We would go back for dinner

We showed up early for our reservation, which wasn't a problem at all. The food was really great and the service was great too. One of the best restaurants in Kappeln, at least for meat dishes.

Great service, very good and rich dishes and also cheap. Just like you know “Yugoslavian” cuisine. And please understand that in a positive sense. The lunch menu also impresses with its price-performance ratio. Plus the location in the center of town and with a very pleasant outdoor area that can also be used when the weather is a little worse. Always very happy.

Wir sind eher zufällig hier gelandet, nach den Heringstagen war in Kappeln "die Luft raus". Gut, es hat etwas gedauert und es war nicht "haute cuisine", aber wir haben sehr solide zu vernünftigen Preisen gegessen. Die Bedienung war freundlich und die Atmosphäre gemütlich. Ein netter letzter Abend in Kappeln.

Wirklich sehr leckeres griechisches (balkanesisches?) Essen, aufmerksamer und sehr freundlicher Service und anheimelndes Ambiente (fast wie damals). Wir haben einen sehr gemütlichen Abend bei leckerem Essen, aufmerksamem Service und in Erinnerung an den Landarzt verbracht. Uns hat das sehr gefallen!

We weren't in the hotel but visited the restaurant. Delicious Balkan and other specialties. Generous portions, good price/performance ratio. Nice service and parking nearby. If you are ever near Kappeln, this restaurant is worth a visit.

We ate the Aurora Platter 1 for 2 people in the restaurant and were very satisfied. The food was varied, rich and very tasty. The staff is also attentive and very friendly.

We ate there today and were very dissatisfied! We had the country doctor's plate and the spaegel with ham etc. The country doctor's plate didn't have enough croquettes and the spagel was woody and had five small thin sticks. Really cool for the price! The dessert wasn't as described on the menu either! The service was sometimes unfriendly. We told the service in a friendly manner, but there was no apology or anything like that! The waiter was apparently looking for a tip, which we hadn't given there this time, and left angrily without a nice evening or anything else and talked to his colleagues about it when we noticed it! That was the last time for us in the restaurant!!

We took a short vacation for 4 days and ate there twice. It was delicious both times. The service was very nice and friendly. The food was extremely tasty and plentiful. If we're in the area again, we'll be happy to come back.

The hotel/restaurant is located in the middle of Kappeln, not far from the harbor. There is parking space, but not enough. However, you can park in a public parking lot in front of the hotel, day ticket €9, if you are lucky enough to get a parking space. The room was small, but completely sufficient for us. The bed was too soft for my standards, but that's a matter of taste. The bathroom is getting a bit old and the joints are partly sparkling. But it served its purpose, and as we all know, that's all it's supposed to do. The breakfast was ok. But I've had a better breakfast... the staff leaves a lot to be desired. When checking in you were greeted half-heartedly and then quickly checked in. I can understand everything about time pressure and a lack of staff, but a hotel depends on its welcome. The restaurant was really busy and we had to make a reservation. But even there we were greeted half-heartedly and had to wait a long time until we were shown to the table. The staff wasn't that friendly, probably because we weren't regular customers (as in, we were just guests). Regular customers were warmly welcomed... All in all a nice hotel in the middle of Kappeln, but for us it was the last time 🤷‍♀️.

We were here for dinner. The restaurant is located absolutely centrally in Kappeln. Parking spaces are available nearby. Unfortunately we actually had to wait an hour for our food. Hence the missing star. Even though the store was busy, we found the waiting time to be quite long. But the quality of the food was convincing. The portions are large and really tasty. All in all, the repetition factor is 80%.

We only visited the restaurant. The map doesn't reveal any special features, but is generally well put together. Above all, the service impresses with its speed and friendliness. The central location is of course also a plus. However, parking space is limited, at least in the immediate vicinity.

Waited over an hour for the food we ordered! The duck breast no longer really tasted like duck because the sauce didn't go well with it. No further requests were asked. Never eat here again at Christmas!

We were there for lunch. The number of guests was manageable. Nevertheless, it took 45 minutes for the first food to arrive. Not only us, but everyone has waited a long time! The turkey breast was burnt and was taken back. When I finished my meal, my wife got her meal but without fries. They came after half the meat had been eaten. An apology from the waitress? None! It remains to be added that a guest who arrived last, but was probably an acquaintance of the waitress, received his food after just a few minutes.

We always enjoy going to the restaurant to eat. We book a table in advance. The food was always very good, the portions were generous. The selection of dishes is wide, there should be something for everyone. The service has always been friendly and quick. If it is very busy, you have to expect a waiting time, but this is reasonable. We can absolutely recommend it.

I can only give very, very positive feedback about the restaurant. Reserved a table for the evening at lunchtime, got there early, took the order quickly and competently and provided the drinks and food very quickly, the taste was on point, the steak was great, the sauces were delicious and spicy. We really enjoy coming here. A reservation is required, necessary, the restaurant is very well received

We enjoyed lunch once again. We once again had an excellent lunch for less than 15 euros per person. The grill plate tasted great with the matching dips and was hardly manageable in terms of quantity. The liver with sautéed onions couldn't be beaten and was packed up and taken home. The service was fresh, funny and competent. For a total of 45 euros including drinks, this visit was also great. We will come back in any case.

Very good, centrally located and therefore easily accessible on foot. There are paid parking spaces nearby (but not too many). I was there to eat and everything was TOP and I recommend it.

Very good lunch with large portions. Comfortably furnished and nice staff. Unfortunately, the parking spaces are a bit away, but the route can be combined with a stroll through the great old town.

Wir haben heute Aurora Restaurant besucht und sind sehr zufrieden. Der Service war sehr nett und die Steaks waren köstlich! Wir werden auf jeden Fall noch einmal dorthin zurückkehren !

Das Zimmer war für 4 Übernachtungen mit Frühstück gebucht, was modern eingerichtet ist. Boxspringbett, Schrank, zwei Sessel und zwei kleine Tischchen dazu, sowie zwei Nachttischchen. Es gibt ein kleinen Fernseher und kostenloses WLAN. Leider gibt es nur drei Steckdosen im Zimmer, zwei davon braucht man für die Nachtisch Lampen. Das Zimmer liegt zur Einkaufsstraße. Was sehr stören war, dass man den Raum nicht gut abdunkeln kann mit den Vorhängen. Für Leute die gerne ganz dunkel schlafen möchten, ist das nix. Das Bad ist sehr schön 👍Im Hotel gibt es leider nicht die Möglichkeit zwischendurch mal ein Tee oder Kaffee zu machen. 😟Jeden Morgen werden die Betten gemacht und die Mülleimer geleert, bei Bedarf frische Handtücher.

Preis Leistung des essen ist ein Traum ! Super!! Nettes Personal

RUND UM ZUFRIEDEN STELLENDES ARGUMENTE

Wir hatten ein Wiener Schnitzel und Cordon blue jeweils mit kleinem Salat und Pommes. Der Salat war einfach aber frisch und knackig, das Dressing war gut. Das Schnitzel und das Cordon bleu waren groß, die Pannade kross aber leider komplett ungewürzt. Nicht mal den Käse konnte man rausschmecken. Schade, da wäre mit kleinen Dingen deutlich mehr drin gewesen

Das Essen ist hervorragend (sehr gutes Schnitzel, sehr gute Leber, leider die meisten Gerichte völlig gemüsefrei), das Ambiente sehr angenehm, aber warum... ... gibt's kein Lächeln der Bedienung? ... haben viele Gerichte als Standardbeilagen nur Pommes und Reis? ... ist die Antwort auf die Bestellung nur ein "Ja" und nicht z. B. "Gerne"? ... kommt die Hauptspeise wenn man mit der Vorspeise noch nicht fertig ist? ... kommt keine Frage wie z. B. "Schmeckt es Ihnen?"? ... wird man aufgefordert, quer durch den Raum zu rufen, was man noch bestellen möchte, da die Bedienung gerade weiter weg steht, als man Zeichen gegeben hat? Das alles macht den Eindruck, als sollte man sich als Gast ein bisschen beeilen. Vielleicht ist das nicht immer so, aber wir haben es schon mehr als einmal so erlebt. Kurzum: atmosphärisch fehlt das "I-Tüpfelchen", sonst alles "top".

Waren jetzt im Urlaub das zweite mal dort essen. Und es war wieder perfekt. Hatten die Aurora 1 Platte für zwei Personen. Also mit einer Extra Beilage reicht es für drei Personen. Der Service war schnell und professionell. Den Preis (€52) fanden wir für zwei Personen absolut okay.

Waren schon zum 2x zum Essen hier, muss sagen, von der Suppe über Salat bis hin zur Hauptspeise war alles Tipp Topp Bedienung war sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Fühlten uns wie zuhause. Werden wieder kommen. ( morgen 18.oo Uhr) . Weiterempfehlung gewährleistet. Einfach super.

Eine sehr lustlose Kellnerin Getränke gab's nur 1 mal essen Reklamationen konnte man auch nicht machen Medium bestellt und leider durch gebraten Kellerin hat nie reagiert auf Hand zeichnen und rufen beim abräumen angesprochen und nicht ein Wort der Entschuldigung geht gar nicht daher auch die schlechte Bewertung

Wir haben während unseres Urlaubs das Restaurant 3x besucht und waren jedesmal sehr zufrieden. Das Essen war immer auf den Punkt und sehr schmackhaft gewürzt. Die MitarbeiterInnen waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Am Sonntagabend bei Hochbetrieb war die Wartezeit etwas länger, was darauf hinweist, dass alle Speisen frisch zubereitet werden. Die Zimmer können wir nicht bewerten, da wir außerhalb gewohnt haben.

Ein Hotel in bester Lage in der Altstadt mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Das Zimmer war sehr schön (Thema Flensburger Pilsener) eingerichtet, sehr sauber mit einem modernen Bad. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und vielseitig. Auch das Abendessen im hauseigenen Restaurant war sehr lecker und eine große Portion. Wir hatten nichts auszusetzen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Eine Adresse, die wir ruhigen Gewissens weiterempfehlen können.
