Great vibes all around. I went during Oktoberfest so it was more full but the crowd was great. The servers can be slightly rude but overall a great experience

Arrived at 9:45 p.m. The website states that hot meals are served until 11 p.m., but I asked the first waiter again, who confirmed this. I sat down, waited 20 minutes for the menu, and was then told they only had two more dishes. The waiter's incompetence and disrespect were hard to beat.

On October 3, 2025, five of us went to the Augustiner Bräuhaus and had reserved seats for 6:30 p.m. Unfortunately, two seats were taken by drunk teenagers, and the restaurant was a mess with noise and people searching for seats. By squeezing together, we were able to find our seats after 10 minutes. We were all very pleased with the food, and it turned out to be a very pleasant evening. Special thanks go to our waiter, Anton, who never lost his cool. Anton, you did a great job.

The atmosphere is exactly what you’d hope for in a typical Bavarian Restaurant : lively, authentic, and full of charm. The location is fantastic — just a short walk from the Oktoberfest grounds, making it a great spot to experience the true Munich spirit without the crowds of the tents. Friendly service, great beer (of course Augustiner!), and a wonderful local vibe. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a real Munich experience 🍺🥨🇩🇪

Very tasty food, very fast and good service!

Overall really good vibes for an eatery just outside the Oktoberfest grounds. Food and beer was decent, but I wouldn't say it was anything to write home about. Fun spot though

The service is so arrogant that you have to ask the supervisor to get a drink. Instead, they threaten you with security if you complain.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with the waiter, Livio. The menu says "3 apple tarts," which is what I ordered. However, I was served "3 apple tarts" three times. When I pointed out the mistake, the waiter loudly insulted me and blamed me. I had simply ordered the dessert word for word as it was listed on the menu. In the end, I still had to pay for everything.

I was served yesterday by the waiter Livio and was insulted in Italian for no reason, just for asking if I could order something else. I also heard from the table next to me that they were also treated badly by him, and in the end, he even insisted on a tip, arguing with me. No manners! The food was very tasty, though. Unfortunately, he ruined the atmosphere.

We were on a trip/tour and this was one of our planned stops. (Sadly our last) It was during Octoberfest so it was a bit roudy & loud, but the staff were fantastic & the food & beers delicious.

Nice local spot for lunch. The food was very good. However give yourself plenty of time, service was SSSSOOOO slow. We waited almost 30 minutes at our table before we were able to order drinks.

The value for money for the drinks and food is excellent. The ambiance is also very appealing and atmospheric. Unfortunately, the service was extremely unfriendly; I've never experienced anything like it before, so unfortunately, it's only one star, as it really spoiled our experience.

Very salty. The food isn't bad, but the seasoning is way too salty. It's close to the Oktoberfest venue. It's a great place to eat after the festival. The atmosphere is great.

The food here is good. The atmosphere was amazing. The service let absolutely everything down. Our waiter, Vladan, made this experience terrible. It was obvious when we arrived that the venue was busy. Having now been to multiple busy Munich venues of a similar ilk, we expected that things may take some time, but were more than willing to wait. But when it came to actually ordering, multiple items that were brought to the table were completely incorrect. We aren’t fluent German speakers, and acknowledge this as an issue, so took to pointing at the menu for extended periods of time each time we attempted to order to ensure things were correct. Our waiter indicated they were. They were not. In three drink orders, a food order and a dessert order, only one drink order came out correct. This went far beyond a language barrier, but we accepted it and moved on. The food was still good, even if not what we wanted/ordered! Then came time to pay, and we were presented with an eftpos machine with an option to tip. I was told that the tip was not included, and I could tip 5, 10 or 20 percent. When I selected no tip, I was repeatedly and somewhat aggressively asked “why no tip”. When I stated that a few items we ordered weren’t correct, I was again, repeatedly asked in an extremely rude tone “why no tip”. I replied that in my mind, tipping occurs when service goes beyond your expectation. The service we received was far below what I would expect at any sit down restaurant, because we basically never got what we ordered. But despite that, we had no intention to dispute our bill, and just accepted that we would pay for what was received. Despite this, we were rudely confronted by a member of staff who had repeatedly made significant errors and who was throughout the night quite unpleasant to deal with. Would not recommend if you value being treated respectfully.

I'm here every year during Oktoberfest. The food is mediocre, more like tourist fare. Although the Kaiserschmarren this year was really great! The service was also very friendly. The best part is the fun, which takes place in the evening, after everyone has eaten and the DJ is cranking up the music. Then it's always great!

Most tables were marked reserved, which we could clearly see, yet as we looked around for open seats, waiters repeatedly yelled at us “No, reserved!” and then walked away. We weren’t trying to sit at the reserved tables, only trying to find an available one, but instead of offering any help or guidance, the staff dismissed us and left us standing awkwardly in the middle of the hall. When I directly asked a waiter where we could sit, his only response was, “I don’t know,” before turning his back. At that point, it was obvious we were not welcome. The whole experience was demeaning, unprofessional, and downright hostile. I had been excited to try their beer and food, but the staff’s attitude completely ruined the visit. With so many other great places in Munich that actually value their guests, I cannot recommend Augustiner Bräustuben. I was really looking forward to visiting Augustiner Bräustuben, but the service was shockingly rude and caused us to leave before we'd even been seated. If you're looking for something to eat before visiting the Oktoberfest, why not stop by the Augustiner Bräustuben again? The ambiance is as unique as ever. The food is well-prepared and delicious. The service, as always, is prompt and polite. We'd love to go back!

We were there for Oktoberfest and loved it. The food was good and particularly inexpensive (e.g., €14.40 for a decent portion of Käsespätzle or €7.40 for a Maß beer). In summary, very good prices and definitely not boring. We had a lot of fun there!

We were attended by a wonderful and warm person named Georgios. The service was excellent, the attention to detail was outstanding, and the food was simply sensational. We truly felt well taken care of and highly recommend this place.

The beer was good, the food was terrible, and far worse than in previous years: I spent 80% of my meal eating the filling side dish. There was little meat, hardly any chanterelle mushrooms on the chanterelle mushroom pan. But there were loads of tasteless spaetzle drowned in an equally tasteless cream sauce. All of it lukewarm.

So yummy. Delicious food very kind staff, fully recommend

Good place to chill during Oktoberfest

A typical brasserie where the beers are excellent and the food is generous. So much so that I didn't dare try a shank for fear of not being able to finish it.

We visited the Augustiner Bräustuben with four people and were even able to sit on the beautiful roof terrace. The interior ambiance is rustic, as a Bavarian inn should be. The food is excellent, and the service is very friendly and attentive. Excellent value for money; it really couldn't be better. Highly recommended, we'll be back. Best wishes from the Allgäu region.

One of the worst experiences of our lives last friday evening. We truly believe we just had bad luck with the waiter was allocated to our area in the 1st floor - another tables around us felt the same way due to the same guy. Walking through the restaurant you can really feel the vibe of an authentic place and it´s just a shame we had so bad luck. Other waiters were just cool and chill but this guy was absolutely out of control. Food was good, beer as well but the waiter became irritated just because we order Pint (0,5L) instead of 1L (each of us had 4 Pint, so not really like we were saving money). Apart from all his bad behaviour (will save you the details), the final stroke was his comment when we asked for an expresso ("no coffee, this is Oktoberfest"). 5 minutes later, we saw maybe a dozen of coffes flying to another table with another waiter:)))! Unreal. It´s a never go again to us, but a lot of people around us and mainly ground floor was having a good time, so you can also try it.

The waitresses were very scattered. We just wanted a quick bite of white sausage, but they wouldn't give us a table, even though everything was reserved for two hours later. We did get a seat, though. Beer 3.70

The food was good. The beer is world-class. The waitress at our table was overwhelmed that day. I love the rooftop terrace. Much quieter than the main hall. It depends on what you're looking for.

We were in Munich yesterday for the Oktoberfest kickoff and then at the Augustiner Bräustuben for dinner on the roof terrace. A wonderful ambiance, friendly service despite the packed house, excellent food, and a cool, delicious Augustiner beer. Nothing else was needed. See you next time...

Honestly everything was ok nice foods and drink and beautiful historical place

We were group of 6 sitting upstairs on the terrace. Our waiter was incredibly rude: He refused speaking English (we are all tourists during Octoberfest), luckily I speak German. Refused to remove empty glasses or plates from the table so we were had to sit with all of that till the end of the night. Didn’t bring any plates and when we asked for it - he gave 3 (we were 6) and told us to share 😖 At the end he added 10% tip automatically without asking. Food and atmosphere are nice.

Food was good, but service was ultra rude, agressive, ignorant etc. We were sitting at the 405 table, waited 50min to order food even though waiter was walking around and simply ignoring us. You could see that he was agressive to other tables as well.

I got a table without a reservation, and as soon as I sat down, the drinks I ordered arrived. As soon as I ordered, the food arrived. Excellent, a truly top-notch restaurant. I liked it.

Food was above average for the size and ambiance of the beer hall. The table set up is really festive. Bevs and schnitzel were tasty!

Everything I hoped for in a traditional Bavarian beer hall, warm, buzzing, and full of character. The vaulted ceilings strung with hops set the scene, and the food carried it through. I went for the Munich Sausage Salad after my waiter politely (and hilariously) tried to talk me out of it, saying it’s “something only Germans eat.” 😂 I stuck with my choice, and it turned out to be one of the best dishes I had on my entire trip through Bavaria, simple, tangy, and absolutely addictive. The other plates, from hearty sausages and spätzle to apple strudel with ice cream, only reinforced that this place takes its classics seriously. Between the friendly service, the atmosphere, and the food, it’s a spot I’d come back to without hesitation.

A classic, yet huge brewery in the heart of Munich. You probably won't find a fresher Augustiner. Always at a great price, too. The food is always satisfying. The service is quite gruff, especially when it's busy, and could definitely use a few more smiles. Certainly a great place in Munich for a fresh beer.

The food and drinks were delicious. The atmosphere was quaint, and there was even live music. The only downside... It's very loud.

A very traditional and lively beer house, mostly locals, very close to the tram and Munich Central Station. The food is quite large and substantial, but Taiwanese people might not be used to it. The food is a bit salty and processed, but this is their eating habit so I respect it. However, a 0.5 liter glass of beer is less than 4€ and it is next to an old brewery, which is really a good experience.

We ate at the Augustiner Brauhaus and really enjoyed it. The food was truly delicious and the portions were generous. The beer was also good, although I have to say that for me, it doesn't quite compare to Tegernseer Hell, which is my absolute favorite. Overall, it was a lovely evening in a traditional atmosphere, and we'd happily recommend it.

An honest and rustic restaurant right next to the brewery. You can get half a liter of Helles here for €3.70 (does that still exist anywhere in Germany these days?). The service was very authentic, friendly, and attentive. I chose a dish from the daily menu (unfortunately, I can't remember the exact name – it was a "Schlemmerpfännchen" (gourmet pancake) with bread dumplings, pork loin, meatballs, and Maultasche (a kind of ravioli) in a mushroom and cream sauce). The dish was overall very tasty and, at €15, more than reasonable. I personally would have imagined the Frikadelle (meatballs) to be a bit larger. I understand that as a business owner, you have to stay profitable, but I would have been more happy if this part of the dish had been labeled "small" or "mini..." Unfortunately, the food (for 6 people) arrived slightly late. Personally, I can live with this minor criticism, but I still have to mention it in a Google review and include it in the overall rating. The dessert (apple strudel with vanilla sauce) unfortunately left a lot to be desired. The vanilla sauce, in particular, had an artificial yellow color, was watery, and reminded me of instant pudding. In my opinion, the correct rating for this restaurant (on the Google scale) is 4 out of 5 stars. Overall, I recommend this restaurant. Thank you for your hospitality and the excellent service.

Been going in here for years and always loved it, went in yesterday 30/0825 for a couple of beers. I sat opposite where they pour the drinks and was able to watch as the barmen was sloppping the beer from glass to glass. The beer was awful when it arrived and the glass was dirty. And then when I wanted to pay the waiter went off on one because I only had a €50 euro note. Verbally abused me. Will not be returning anytime soon.

So, as a tourist, it's certainly a nice place. The location is truly beautiful. What we simply didn't expect was the noise level. The service staff was difficult to understand, and they had a hard time understanding us either. The food was okay, but it took a very long time to get our food. But it wasn't overly expensive. A big plus is the reservation process here; you can easily book online.

It's close to the station, spacious, and easy to enjoy a German experience. The service is quick from ordering to serving. The service is just okay, but that's also what makes it feel so German. The staff only took our order and brought the food, so I thought it was strange that we still had to tip.

The restaurant's atmosphere is good, but it's extremely unpleasant. I ordered two items, as shown in the photo below. Problem 1 The menu items were different from the ones in the photo, and when I asked, they said they didn't know what the difference was. They pointed to the chicken wings in the photo and said they were sausages. The meat part simply disappeared from the description;; Problem 2 When I paid, the receipt showed a different price than the one on the menu. Problem 3 When I asked to pay in cash, they rewrote the receipt in pen, saying an additional 10% tax was required, and charged me 45 euros.

A beautiful Bavarian beer hall, both in its aesthetics and the friendly, light-hearted atmosphere of its patrons. The food is good and plentiful; the prices are reasonable; the service is fast and friendly, and there's a nice surprise for the little ones. Highly recommended!

Beware, the service is a complete rip-off! We had the strip card/beer card and presented the vouchers for six beers. The waiter (male) completely ignored these on the final bill, and we were charged the full €3.70 per beer. Unfortunately, we only realized this afterward.
