Augustiner Bräustuben in München

Leider Massenabfertigung. Keiner hat so wirklich Zeit. Man sollte möglichst schnell bestellen, schnell essen, schnell austrinken, schnell zahlen. Erst war der Kellner "freundlich" dann sagte er(Während des Essens) dass wir bezahlen müssen. Mir ist fast die Gabel im Hals stecken geblieben. Er meinte, er habe ausVersehen(?) die Rechnung rausgelassen.... wir wollten dort noch weiter u Viert verweilen auf Nachtisch und ein 2.Bier . Dann haben wir halt während des Essen schnell bezahlt, weil derKellner es forderte...sonst sagte er, würde er es nur vergessen(so what?)...und so haben wir die Rechnung von 78 nur kurz aufgerundet auf85.. wir wollten ja noch länger bleiben und eben auch erstmal auchaufessen. Da hat er sich lautstark bis zu den nächsten 2Tischen beschwert, dass wir nicht mal 10% aufgeschlagen haben. Wir waren ja noch gar nicht fertig. Also wir haben ihm das auch so gesagt. Ihn interessierte es wenig. Unverschämt war das! Wir sind dann nachdem wir aufgegessen und ausgetrunken haben gegangen. Die Lust in diesem Restaurant weiter zu Verweilen ist ums vergangen. DER kellner kam eh nicht mehr...Sie haben es einfach nicht nötig und das lasst man die Gäste auch merken. SCHADE.

Ich bin oft in der Bräustuben da sie die Bierpreise oft unter Münchner Durchschnitt halten. Leider geht dies mit dem Bedienungspersonal ein, die sehr unfreundlich sind, und zu meiner Erschütterung sogar soweit gehen handgreiflich zu werden, wenn man noch sein Essen aufessen möchte, sie aber den Tisch sofort an andere Gäste vermitteln wollen. Und das selbst, wenn die neuen Gäste sagen, das es OK ist wenn man noch am Tisch bleiben möchte. Heute war wirklich nach vielen negativ Ereignissen ind den letzten 12 Monaten der Tiefpunkt, als ein Mitarbeiter nicht nur aggressiv wurde, sondern auch versucht hat Mich zu schubsen und zusätzlich einen Mitarbeiter dazu aufgefordert hat dies zu unterstützen. Unglaublich ist das, und ich werde mir leider ein neues Stammrestaurant suchen müssen und neue Kunden davor warnen dort hinzugehen.

Meine Frau und ich hatten für zwei Personen einen Tisch in den Augustiner-Bräustuben in München reserviert – und unser Abendessen wurde zum Reinfall. Pünktlich um 19:00 wurden wir an einen Ort im letzten Eck gesetzt, und zwar nicht an einen normalen Tisch, sondern an eine Art Tresen direkt im Kassenbereich. Von dort hatten wir einen direkten Blick auf den Mülleimer und die ständig beschäftigten Mitarbeiter, die ihre Ausdrucke drucken – alles andere als einladend. Kaum kam der Kellner, um unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen, fragte ich sofort, ob wir einen anderen, gemütlicheren Platz bekommen könnten – so ungemütlich fühlte ich mich an diesem Ort. Es kam uns fast so vor, als wäre das Lokal einfach geldgeil und würde lieber fremde Gäste zusammenwürfeln, als höflich zu sagen: „Es ist kein Platz mehr.“ Zum Glück wurden wir prompt an einen schönen Vierer-Tisch gesetzt, was unseren Abend kurz rettete. Als Vorspeise bestellte ich eine Halbe und eine Leberknödelsuppe, meine Frau einen Beilagensalat. Dabei fiel auf, dass die Suppe kaum eine Minute nach Bestelleingang ankam, während der Salat meiner Frau fast zehn Minuten auf sich warten ließ – so wurden unsere Vorspeisen zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten serviert, obwohl wir sehr gerne gemeinsam gegessen hätten. Dieser unharmonische Service hinterließ einen unangenehmen ersten Eindruck. Beim Hauptgang entschied sich meine Frau für das Münchener Schnitzel – ein Gericht, das sie sonst schätzt – und ich wählte die „Bierkutscherpfanne“, die knusprige Haxe, Geflügel, Bratwurst und Wiener mit Kartoffelknödel und Dunkelbiersoße verspricht. Leider waren alle Speisen nur lauwarm und wirkten wie mehrfach aufgewärmt. Die Portionen waren mickrig: Die Haxe bestand fast nur aus Haut und minimalem Fett, das Geflügel wirkte wie ein Mini-Hähnchen, und die Würstchen waren ein Witz. Selbst das Bier, das als Maß serviert werden sollte, kam größtenteils als Schaum daher. Das Schnitzel meiner Frau war fad und lieferte weder den erhofften Senf- noch Meerrettich-Kick, während der Kartoffelsalat wenigstens akzeptabel war. Ein weiterer Tiefpunkt: Irgendwann wurde uns während des gesamten Abends ein fremdes Pärchen an unseren Tisch gesetzt. In einem Ambiente, das wir uns als romantisches Abendessen vorgestellt hatten, passt das überhaupt nicht – hier fühlt man sich wie in einem Bierzelt, in dem Gäste willkürlich zusammengewürfelt werden, ohne dass man gefragt wird. Alles in allem war unser Abend geprägt von ungemütlicher Atmosphäre, mangelndem Service und Speisen, die weder frisch noch liebevoll zubereitet schienen. Dieser Besuch in den Augustiner-Bräustuben war ein enttäuschendes Erlebnis, das in keinster Weise den Ruf des Hauses verdient. Ich werde hier definitiv nicht wieder essen.

Then I ordered food and another beer. The food was served after 10 minutes but was barely lukewarm. The beer never came – even after I pointed it out to the waiter. The whole performance lasted two hours... That's just way too weak. I'm not coming back.

First and probably last visit to this restaurant. The food and drinks were okay in terms of price and quality, but nothing more. The ambience is also okay, but there is also a very high noise level in the "old forge" where we sat, certainly due to the mass processing. It's not a comfortable visit. Unfortunately the operating staff is absolutely snooty. Some waiters didn't serve us because they weren't responsible; they preferred to stand around and watch. The waiter in charge had a hectic manner about him and was not visible for a long time. Many people at our 8-person table would have liked to order something else, but he didn't come and the others didn't serve us. When it came time to pay with a card, he put pressure on us: it has to be quicker, it's busy, people are waiting, and he did so in a tone that was an absolute "no go" for a guest.

Beer at a very reasonable price. The schnitzel was incredibly fatty. The service is a 5 out of 10. Tried to cheat on 1 glass of beer. Luckily the receptionist intervened and the matter was sorted out.

Highly recommended, only the waiter was a bit overwhelmed. It's fair to say that the place was packed on Saturday evening. But everyone was full and had enough to drink. We'll definitely be back

I've been to dozens of breweries and was unfortunately rather disappointed with the Augustiner Bräustuben. The food was ok, but half the knuckle tasted a bit burnt and the portion wasn't enough. I had the Braukutscher plate. For that price I can get a whole knuckle with dumplings somewhere else and it's also filling. The service was on point and friendly. The ambience is quite nice, but could do with a bit of an overhaul.

Drink beer, eat otherwise is like Vinzenzmur. The toilet for men is terrible, it smells worse than at Oktoberfest. The open kitchen, which no one pays attention to, gives the missing French fries stand flair. It's a shame that those responsible are generously dismissing everything, it's so old and blah blah.

What a way to end a trip, completely arrogant. If you don't like your job then change it, don't let it out on the customer. Simple. Not a good look for your business.

Excellent beer restaurant. The service is excellent. Most of the hall was occupied, but we were lucky and they found a place for us without prior reservation. Typical Bavarian food, but some of the dishes did not taste fresh. Nice location. Two things were unacceptable:1. We were a group of 8 adults, speaking fluently English and German. We ordered food and drink in three different moments: first order, secondly when we had finished our beers and thirdly the desserts. A waiter shouted at us saying that we were "irritating" and that we should have ordered all the stuff at one time. 2. We paid 32 euro more because on our bill there were some drinks and dishes that we did not order nor receive. When we asked for clarification, the same waiter told us that he has just changed the name of some of the dishes but the bill was correct. Later we checked again and it was not so. We do not know if it was a revenge of the waiter or maybe that people who left the table before us left something unpaid.

This is a traditional brewery. The atmosphere is very authentic. The staff is a bit rough, but still courteous and attentive. The prices of the food are very cheap and fair. The food itself is simple and traditional, but that's not a bad thing in this case. In summary, anyone who doesn't mind the noise and prefers home cooking will feel at home here.

The two of us had dinner today. My husband's food came quickly, but I had to wait 20 minutes for mine. Unfortunately, the food wasn't cooked through, even though it was ordered that way and couldn't be eaten in any other way due to pregnancy. We don't understand the organization in the Bräustüberl!!! The two of us arrived shortly before 5 p.m. and hadn't reserved a table. All tables in the smaller dining room were reserved, so we were immediately directed to the large dining room. Anyone who knows the Hofbräuhaus and loves the noise there and the long wooden benches will also feel at home in the Bräustüberl. When we asked whether we could sit at a quieter table in the corner, we were told that it would have to be kept free if the guests arrived half an hour earlier. Our objection that we didn't want to stay longer than 6 p.m. didn't help either. (The guests could come half an hour earlier, it was repeated again). Then why don't you reserve earlier? When I went to the toilet, which is located in the smaller dining room, I took a closer look at the reservation signs and was very surprised to see that some tables were only reserved at 7 p.m. or 8 p.m. So we would have had 2 or 3 hours to eat in peace and quiet, without shouting. Unfortunately the service staff couldn't say anything about it. He was probably happy that he didn't have much to do since there were only two tables occupied. Regarding the food: the service really tried to understand our order over the shouting. After a short time the food came and was unfortunately lukewarm. We had the impression that standard dishes were produced in advance and that the plates were left until a guest ordered the dish and then it was served quickly. Our complaint was accepted and after a long time the well-warmed food came back. Conclusion: The young man in service, who was ultimately responsible for us, did his best. The other service staff we spoke to didn't give us a motivated impression. If you want to chat while eating without shouting at each other, you should avoid the large dining room.

My mom was there with a tour group for a New Year's Eve celebration. One big disappointment. People were squeezed into tables until they couldn't stand it anymore (you can't even imagine what would happen if there was a fire or something similar). The music was far too loud to even communicate with the person sitting next to you entertain. You had to shout straight into your ear. The waiter was rude and incompetent. For the main course there was a platter with various meats. Nothing more and far too little for 11 people. When everyone was ready, the sauerkraut came sometime later. That should have been there. The waiter himself hardly came to the table to ask if you wanted something to drink, so some people sat there for a long time without drinking. At midnight there was supposed to be a champagne toast for everyone. The waiter just complained that there was only beer and wine. It was only after the tour guide asked that the champagne was brought shortly before 1:30 (after all, it had been paid for). The fog machine was so powerful that some people had breathing problems and my mom only sat there with a cloth over her mouth. The evening was just a disappointment for everyone. I hope the tour guide removes the Augustiner Bräu from its offerings. An evening event like this is definitely better. Too bad.

We really like the Obatzter here! Of course we are fans of Augustiner beer - it tastes delicious! We ordered warm food 3 times and unfortunately it was served lukewarm or cold.

Food was good and authentic with the right portion sizes. Some of the servers only speak German so there is a language barrier. The service wasn’t great at all, despite this when we went to pay by credit card the server tried to get us to give him a 15% tip in addition to the bill - are you serious?! We declined and left euros with what we felt he deserved and not what he tried to demand. Such a shame these poor practices take place in such a nice historical establishment. Due to this cannot recommend. Also funny that the business replied below and suggested to reach out to them. I’ve since reached out to them via email and no reply since. How convenient is that?!

We have reserved a table for 6 people. When we arrived it was pure chaos. We were taken to our table, which was already full. The waiters told the guests already sitting at the table to move closer together. Unfortunately, we would never have had space like that in our lives. Nobody was interested, even though we asked several times what we should do now. The waiters were all annoyed, so we left and were happy about it.

The place is a mess. It's for those who like a confusing environment. The food is good, as is the beer, but I recommend that you look for quieter environments. Especially because the price is high.

Great barbaric cuisine. Service super pleasant. Rustic Bavarian atmosphere. You may be sitting at a table with several people. The food is delicious. Definitely recommended. Slightly cheaper than surrounding Bavarian restaurants.
