Augustiner Am Markt in Leipzig

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Essen gut, das Bier sehr gut. Leider ist es in den hohen Raum sehr laut.

Gutes Essen, bei gutem Service und lebhaften Ambiente.

Ich war schon mehrmals im Augustiner und bei jedem Besuch ist das Essen schlechter geworden. Kässpätzle mit normalen Zwiebeln dazwischen geht gar nicht! In der Karte steht explizit Edelstoff aus dem Holzfass was es aber mittlerweile erst ab 18 Uhr gibt (oder auch nicht aus anderen Kommentaren): und den Unterschied schmeckt man! Wer andere Augustiner kennt wird vor allem vom Essen enttäuscht sein.

Top Bedienung und essen sehr schnell serviert wir hatten ein Tisch für fünf Personen reserviert dieser gefiel uns aber nicht nicht und wir haben umgehend ein neuen Tisch bekommen, einfach top Service

Essen war hervorragend, der Service war top, immer jemand da, der geguckt hat, aber nur nachgefragt hat, wenn es notwendig war ... also tip top. Uriges Ambiente. Immer wieder gerne!

Ich war heute Abend mit Freunden im „Augustiner“ , unsere Erfahrung war diesmal leider sehr enttäuschend und niederschmetternd. Zunächst wollten wir ein Bier „Edelstoff“ aus dem Holzfass bestellen, war laut Werbetafel ab 18 Uhr erhältlich, das war aber laut Aussage des Kellners leider nicht möglich-es war 19.45 Uhr! Dieses war die erste Enttäuschung, aber es sollte noch schlimmer werden, um 21.45 machte uns der Kellner in einem forschen Ton darauf aufmerksam das nun die letzte Runde zu bestellen ist!. Laut offiziellen Öffnungszeiten schließt der Augustiner um 0.00 Uhr!!! Um 22.00 wurde das Restaurant schliesslich grell erleuchtet, um 22.10 Uhr wurde der Kellner ungeduldig und forderte uns auf endlich auszutrinken und zu gehen. Man könne ja gerne im Plastikbecher Bier „togo.“ ordern. Da waren unsere Gläser aber noch halb gefüllt, deshalb teilten wir ihm unseren Unmut mit. Daraufhin antwortete er wir seien schließlich nur noch die einzigen Gäste und die Öffnungszeiten im Internet sind nicht maßgeblich. Er drohte schließlich sogar noch mit der Polizei und wies auf sein Hausrecht hin, wohlgemerkt es war gerade mal 22.10 Uhr. So etwas haben wir alle wirklich noch nirgendwo erlebt und sucht seinesgleichen. Wir sind mehr als enttäuscht und werden mit Sicherheit dieses Lokal so schnell nicht wieder betreten. Es bleibt zu wünschen, das der junge Kellner zukünftig mit dem nötigen Respekt und Höflichkeit den gut zahlenden Gästen gegenüber tritt, was ja eigentlich in diesem Beruf eine Selbstverständlichkeit sein sollte. Mein Fazit, ich glaube es gibt nichts schlimmeres als zahlender Kunde das Gefühl zu bekommen, man ist nur Last und kein willkommener Gast!!! Jetzt bin ich eigentlich nur noch gespannt ob und wie die Mitarbeiter vom Augustiner auf diese ehrliche Rezension antworten…

Schönes Restaurant, dass Essen war im allgemeinen sehr gut und die Bedienung war sehr fix. Danke an das gesamte Team.

Das Essen war excellent. Wir hatten spare Ribs und vegane Gemüse-Maultaschen. Beide Speisen zergangen auf der Zunge - sehr empfehlenswert. Ebenso das Ambiente und die Atmosphäre haben einen fantastischen Eindruck auf uns gemacht😉😉😉 5 Sterne!

Der Service war echt super. Besonders die Hilfe mit Rollstuhl und Rollator.

A typical Augustinian inn. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately there was still no Augustiner non-alcoholic. A disgrace for the brewery and evidence of mismanagement. The food is good and the price is ok. Unfortunately the kitchen didn't open until 12 p.m. This means there is (almost) nothing to eat beforehand. Too bad. However, the atmosphere is very nice and beautifully decorated at Christmas time.

We were there in a group and ordered goulash with spaetzle twice. We had to wait what felt like an eternity for the food and then the dish was almost cold. The spaetzle were also absolutely inedible, i.e. hard to rubbery. The waiter then admitted that the spaetzle wasn't fresh and just offered to put the dishes in the microwave again, which we refused. But we weren't offered to cook anything else because the kitchen was supposedly already closed. So in the end we didn't have any food at all, we weren't charged for the dish, but there was no compensation or suggestion as to what else we could eat, so we went home hungry. Our other friend had roast pork with dumplings, his roast wasn't warm either but he ate it anyway. Conclusion: Mega bad food and weak, non-customer-oriented service…

Last night I had dinner with friends at Augustiner. After about an hour the food was served, but unfortunately my meal was only lukewarm and the spaetzle was even ice cold. The quality of the spaetzle left a lot to be desired: instead of the expected fluffy, soft consistency, they were tough and hard rubbery. When I complained, I was told that the spaetzle was old and had just been warmed up. They offered to take the dish back and refund the price. However, there was no well-thought-out suggestion to repair the damage to my satisfaction. For example, I could have been offered fresh side dishes such as dumplings instead and perhaps added a salad. The goulash itself tasted okay, but it simply needed to be warmed up again to be edible. Unfortunately, there was a lack of both an apology and an adequate solution to adequately correct the situation. In combination with the long waiting time and the overall disappointing service, I unfortunately cannot recommend a visit to the Augustiner.

We always like to go here when we are in Leipzig. So far we have only had good experiences. The beer is well tempered, the food is very tasty and plentiful. The daily lunch menu is also great. Keep it up. We'll be happy to come back.

Large restaurant, centrally located. We also managed to get a place during the Christmas season, even though it was already very full. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are totally okay and we like it here. Very easy to reach, especially when traveling by train.

Unfortunately, our food only arrived lukewarm. After asking, it was taken back into the kitchen to warm up. After 20 minutes the dish came back, but even then it was barely warmer. There was no apology or compensation from the service.

Ich kehrte hier zum Abendessen ein, da ich andernorts keinen Platz bekam. Das Personal trägt Tracht, passend zum Lokal, zu Leipzig nicht unbedingt, aber das ist Geschmackssache (wie vieles im Leben). Das Lokal war gut gefüllt, der Geräuschpegel entsprechend hoch. Die Bestellung wurde zügig aufgenommen, das Getränk kam sehr fix. Auch das Essen lies nicht lange auf sich warten - Schweinebraten mir Bayrisch Kraut und Püree. Das Essen hätte etwas heißer sein können, die Portion war eher groß ( mit war es zu viel Fleisch). Das alkoholfreie Hefe war süffig. Das Personal war freundlich und flink unterwegs.

Hallo liebes Augustiner Team, Meine Freundin und ich hatten gestern einen sehr schönen Nachmittag/Abend bei euch. Wir saßen an der Bar und konnten einen vorzüglichen Schweinebraten und Wurstsalat genießen. Die Einrichtung sowie die weihnachtliche Deko (inklusive Quarksi) war sehr gelungen. Desweiteren genossen wir den hervorragenden Service eures Personals. Macht bitte weiter so.

Typical pub but exceptional in the variety of dishes with particular attention to the Saxon tradition. Excellent and punctual service.

I just deleted my good review and am describing my experience today. I was sitting in the restaurant at around 9:15 p.m. after a 10-hour waiter's shift. I quickly decided on the knuckle and dumplings. I waited, waited and waited... I turned around several times and tried to make eye contact with a waiter. I was ignored for fifteen minutes, even though there were hardly any people sitting in that area. The waitress in my area was more busy chatting two tables away. I had to get up and go to an older lady myself so that she could take my order. The beer came quickly, as did the knuckle... It tasted like it had been kept warm for ages. Be that as it may... While I'm eating, I watch the waitress reach into the glasses as she clears away the food. And immediately afterwards bring out food and serve food and drink with their unwashed hands. Nobody comes to the table to ask if everything is okay... So the simplest gastronomic rules are not followed. And when I was paying, the young waitress came and asked me in all seriousness if I wanted to tip using the card. I thought I couldn't hear properly anymore. I explained to her that the service was bad and that I had to get up myself to get someone to take my order. I'm the type of person who tips very well... And I like it very much. Because I know how strenuous this work is and that it's appropriate to tip. But her answer was, I can live with that. Oh yes? Can she live with that? I would be completely ashamed if a guest said something like that to me. But your waitress can live with it... This is the last time I'll set foot in the Augustiner!

perfect bavarian mood and taste.

I love schnitzel. But a 3 millimeter thin piece of meat cannot be called a Viennese style schnitzel. Add a small bowl of potato salad and that's it. Where are the vegetables and sauce? And then they charge over 20 euros for it. I could have eaten better in any snack bar.

A really rustic brewery with good quality, hearty food.

As soon as we left the SBahn from the airport we stopped to have some beers and some food. Typical German stube with wooden benches and traditional food. The quality of the food was great and the place had a great atmosphere. Very friendly service. Maybe a little slow although it is true that the stube was full. Highly recommended There were few tourists... We were almost the exception, which is appreciated in a world of mass tourism

We just managed to get a free table. You should definitely pre-order. But the very well-attended restaurant also deserves it. Everything was great, the food was very tasty and we were very full. We didn't manage to do everything and everything was immediately provided to us so that we could take the rest with us. The service was very friendly and knew very well about drinks and food.

Good restaurant that offers Bavarian delicacies. The service is attentive, fast and friendly. The food, which presented various Bavarian dishes, was (Augustiner Schmankerlpfanne) Excellent. Rarely eaten such a delicious sauerkraut. The beer also tasted very good, as expected (freshly tapped). We were very satisfied and would visit this inn again.

Das Augustiner liegt direkt am Marktplatz. Die Speisekarte ist nicht so umfangreich wie in anderen Augustinern. Das Bier war süffig, die Brezeln leider nur durchschnittlich. Fazit: Mit einer gehörigen Wartezeit beim Bestellen und probierten Gerichten ist noch Luft nach oben!

A little patience is required if you haven't made a reservation and are still looking for a table with several people after 6 p.m. But this is a good sign. Bavarian food and well-tapped beer. The staff is attentive and committed. You can quickly make contact with other guests if you want to. If you don't want any contact or are of puberty age, you should hold your cell phone protectively in front of your face. But this is extremely rare to find in the Augustinian. The food is very good. Every visit to the Augustiner was a joy.

An Augustinian as you like it! We are often in Munich and test our way through the Augustinians throughout Germany. We weren't disappointed here.

Does exactly what it promises. Great beer and hearty food.

After the initial joy of getting a place, disappointment. My meal (rustbrätl & fried potatoes) wasn't that great. The cheese spaetzle from the others didn't go down well either, and the salad that came with it was only tasted because it was very bitter. It was similar with the Leberkäse with potato cucumber salad. The service staff were very nice. It's a shame, I was expecting something tastier from a Hofbräuhaus...

An ambience like you would imagine and know in a brewery. It was very busy so it was a little hectic. The customers took it in their stride, as many Leipzig residents were also eating there. I don't want to say it was outstanding, but it was good.

Aufenthalt, wie man es sich ín einem Brauhaus vorstellt. Essen rustikal, so wie man es in einem Brauhaus erwartet und sehr schmackhaft. Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Was man nicht, das hat man dort bekommen. Bayrische Speisen und gutes Bier.

The location is awesome. You can easily spend the evening here. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the food I ordered was excessively spoiled with caraway seeds. We had the meat pan for two people. There was caraway in the sousse, in the sauerkraut, in the sausage and in the meatball. Sousse and bulette didn't necessarily have to be piled high with caraway seeds. But the rest was very good and, as we all know, eating is a matter of taste.

Es gibt unglaublich viele Plätze in dem Restaurant, sodass man auch an einem gut besuchten Tag noch einen Platz erhält. Der Service ist sehr schnell und das Essen schmeckt einfach super. Ich finde, dass die Preise auch gehen, gerade für diese Lage.

It all started so well. The music ,the atmosphere,the lederhosen and the laughing. Then I made the mistake of asking a pink and blonde haired lady waitress for a beer,. A wave of the hand and a scowl. The unfriendliest lady in Leipzig ! I can get that at home for free from my older wife and so I took my hard earned euros elsewhere. Auf Wiedersen pet !

Good food, good beer, cheap lunch.

Stort ställe både inomhus och utomhus med utsikt över torget. Centralt beläget. Lätt att få bord även om man är ett stort gäng. Bra genuin tysk mat och trevlig personal.

Good pub in the center of Leipzig. Always full with excellent German beers but also international cocktails! Almost all the staff are really friendly. Quite varied food for both vegans and vegetarians... Rather high prices overall, pleasant dinner.

We were here with 6 people on a Saturday at 6 p.m. The service is really okay and the employees are very friendly despite the extremely stressful atmosphere. While we're on the subject: The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed and it's extremely loud and crowded. Unfortunately, I didn't feel well at all and was glad that we left quickly after eating. The food is reasonably acceptable for the price. Unfortunately it was my first and last visit. Too bad

Because we were in Bayreuth in the tavern the day before. We were a bit disappointed in Leipzig. A pan (picture) for 4 people for €100. It is also clear that not everyone likes everything.

The service was very unfriendly and quiet. At the next table the food came before the drinks. But that's only noticeable to the guests. After eating, plates were taken from the table without a word.
