Wir sind regelmäßig da und es ist jedesmal Super. Kann man nur empfehlen

Essen weiterhin gut, Service auch. Jedoch wurden im Januar die Speisen der Mittagskarte um ca. 2,50 Euro erhöht, obwohl die Mehrwertsteuer von 19% auf 7% sank !

Super freundlich. Sehr sauber. Absolut kinderlieb und natürlich ist das Essen hier absolute spitze. Sehr empfehlenswert

Das Essen finde ich sehr sehr gut. Ich hab lange nicht mehr so gut Griechisch gegessen wie gestern. Am Ambiente könnt man noch ein wenig was verändern abes es schmeckt.

Sehr gemütlich, familiäre Atmosphäre. Aufmerksames Personal, köstliche Gerichte für jeden Geschmack. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Personal ist beleidigt wenn man seine erliche Meinung sagt Athos Kartoffeln bestehen laut Aussage des Personals nur aus Mayonnaise und für 2 Personen 50€ für Mayo ausgeben nein danke

Von außen eher unscheinbar. Sehr zuvorkommend Bedienung. Die große Überraschung zur Freude des Gaumens, es hat alles gepasst, wirklich alles. Der bestellte Fanari Teller, Reis top, Pommes heiß, Zwiebeln, Gyros und Zazaki so wie es sein soll, ein purer Genuß. Die diversen Fleischsorten überragend und schwer zu toppen was den Geschmack angeht und alles für das Auge garniert. Auch der Riesengarnelen Teller kann nicht getopt werden. Alles in Allem mehr als eine Empfehlung wert zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Kommen gerne wieder. Top Adresse im Herzen von Zwickau. Gruß Kerstin und Stephan

Wie immer ein geschmackliches Erlebnis. Wir essen hier bereits seit einigen Jahren immer wieder regelmäßig. Gestern haben wir hier nach der Trauung mit unserer Familie gegessen. Tischreservierung war ohne Probleme möglich. Ein geschmückter Tisch stand bei Ankunft schon bereit. Essen war sehr sehr lecker und reich gefüllt. Das Team im Athos ist einfach unglaublich. Vielen Dank an das Team vom Athos.

Typisch griechisch (oder was wir Deutsche uns unter griechisch vorstellen) und richtig gut. Und wer auf Ouzu steht, ist hier sowieso richtig. Essen sehr lecker und Service sehr gut.

Eindruck der Gaststätte dunkel viel Holz sonst Personal freundlich & schnell Zubereitung der Speisen. Kann man empfehlen s.Foto. Lammkeule super zart.

Wird leider immer schlechter. Auf das Essen mussten wir fast 2 Stunden warten. Die Kellnerin war sichtlich genervt und Getränke wurden leider auch vergessen. Die Metaxasauce war lecker, das Fleisch war auch gut, aber die Beilage. Naja, so wurde es angekündigt. Pommes fehlt das Salz und der Tomatenreis war auch kalt und nicht lecker. Schade.

Wir waren am 22.12. mit fünf Personen inkl. 9 jähriger ab etwa 18:45 im Restaurant. Das Essen haben erst gegen 20:15 erhalten. Die Wartezeit war überdurchschnittlich lang und es wurden zwischenzeitlich auch keine Getränke geboten. Die Speisen kamen 20:15 und bei meiner Freundin fehlte Tsatsiki und mein Salat wurde, entgegen meiner Bestellung und der Beschreibung in der Speisekarte, zubereitet. Auch bei einem weiteren Gericht der Bestellung wurden Wünsche nicht berücksichtigt. Als ich dem Personal den Sachverhalt nahelegte und meine Speise aufgrund einer Lebensmittelunverträglichkeit reklamierte, wurde ich von der Kellnerin unhöflich angegangen. Das Lokal war sehr voll, ich kann den Stress des Personals verstehen, aber Unhöflichkeit empfinde ich als geschäftsschädigend. Als ich beim Bezahlen auf diesen Missstand hinwies, wurde keinerlei Entgegenkommen gezeigt und ich habe, sogar mit Trinkgeld, bezahlt. Alles in allem war der Service nicht zufriedenstellend und wir werden nicht wiederkommen…

5 Sterne, absolut verdient! Wir sind seit Jahren auch mit unseren Kindern immer wieder gern hier, sehr zu empfehlen!

Sehr angenehm und sehr leckeres Essen. Wir kommen immer wenn wir in Zwickau sind zum Essen vorbei.

Das Essen war sehr gut, aber es kam viel zu schnell. Zwischen Salat, Vorspeise und Hauptgang waren gefühlt nur 2 Minuten Zeit. Das war etwas schade, weil man es auch nicht kalt werden lassen möchte. Leider kam dann irgendwie keiner mehr wegen Getränken, also saßen wir dann noch 1,5h ohne Essen und Getränke dort und haben uns "trocken" unterhalten.

We spontaneously stopped by for lunch today and were very pleasantly surprised. The service was very friendly. There were no long waits. The food was excellent and the price was great for lunch. We'd be happy to go back anytime.

It was actually quite nice, but it didn't really feel right. Service was okay, but we had to wait forever for a waiter. The food was okay. There were three kinds of meat: pork, biffteki, and leg of lamb, and well, the lamb was absolutely inedible. Very small, tough, and poorly prepared. Everyone at the table who had it had to leave it. We also had garlic potatoes... the potatoes were very soft and felt like they'd been fried twice, so they were full of fat. My partner and I drank ginger ale with it, and ginger ale is quite strong, but here you could tell it was diluted with water. Mass processing, but not a particularly good Greek restaurant. A shame.

The food is completely overpriced for the quality. The service itself is hectic and doesn't provide the calm I expect. I go to a restaurant to feel comfortable, not because I'm on the hunt. The bottom line is run-of-the-mill Greek food at exorbitant prices. I won't be going back. Zwickau offers much better alternatives.

Anyone who comes here and doesn't order an ouzo tower hasn't understood the concept. This place isn't just a Greek restaurant—it's a place where ouzo is served in tiers, and the atmosphere rises proportionally to the tower's height.

We had reserved for two. Two chairs were quickly placed in the middle of the room. The table wobbled, which we laughed about. Unfortunately, we were completely ignored. We were served a glass of ouzo, but then no one was around. So we called the second waitress. After three-quarters of an hour, we were at least able to order a drink. We quickly ordered our food as well. Then came a fried cheese and a grilled cheese with garlic bread. Very poorly presented! While everyone got the house bread, we were left without it, even though it's part of the menu. We were told fries would be coming soon, but unfortunately, we didn't get them, and the cheese was cold after waiting. We didn't get grilled pepperoni either. So we were there to eat dry cheese. The second waitress was very rude. The bill included all the orders. We decided to pay after an hour and a half. Of course, we didn't get any ouzo. €28.00, shame on you! Wasted Valentine's Day!!! Thanks, Athos. Never again. This has nothing to do with Greeks! Sorry

A successful visit from start to finish. The food was excellent and the service very friendly. We were able to use the beer garden that evening. A definite plus for the summer. Thank you for a great evening.

We had to wait over an hour to even place a food order. After two hours, it was finally done and we could eat. We were also there with a dog. We had to ask a total of five times in temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius if they had anything to drink for the dog. At other restaurants, you get something like that without having to ask. Reorders for drinks take forever or are simply forgotten. The food, whether it was gyros or souvlaki, was also not very tasty, with a lot of fatty meat. The table is only cleared in stages. After three hours, one plate was still sitting forlornly on the table, so it wouldn't take much for the plate to disappear on its own if the food continued to mold in 30 degrees Celsius. Not very tasty. Overall, it's very chaotic, with no discernible underlying system. The atmosphere outside is very, very loud. Not recommended.

We often come here for dinner; the food is always delicious and plentiful. You can usually sit in a private setting, and even if it's a bit noisy in other parts of the restaurant, you can still have a great conversation.

The restaurant itself isn't bad; we've tried it several times, but the overall package isn't that great. Some of the food is only lukewarm; a baked dish that was advertised as a pasta dish with Greek pasta, minced meat, and cream turned out to be a lot of cream with macaroni, a hint of minced meat and cheese. The heavy cream doesn't make the dish particularly tasty. That's just my opinion; perhaps others prefer it that way. The liver dishes in Metaxa sauce are delicious, but the fries and the tiny dollop of tomato rice on a separate plate are rather carelessly presented and only lukewarm. A lettuce leaf as decoration makes a big difference. A dish consisting of several types of meat, fries, and rice... also a delicious dish, but as already mentioned, unfortunately not warm and poorly presented. The service is friendly, when it's there. You wait a long time to order, and you sometimes feel ignored. If you wanted to pay, we had to signal several times. The restaurant was moderately busy at the time, and there were four service employees on site. Since I'm not a fan of bad reviews, I'm still happy to give it three stars. Not everything is bad, although bad is the wrong word. As guests, we'd be happy to come back.

I would say a “classic” Greek. However, salad from the buffet is free here, which is not often available anywhere these days. The food is really very good, the portions are large, especially the starters also offer many options for vegetarians. The main courses are classically meat-heavy. We have always received very warm service. In summer you can sit wonderfully in the garden and there is also plenty of shade. Price-performance fits.

There are several Greek restaurants in Zwickau. I've tried all of them. Athos ranks lowest in my opinion. The atmosphere is like a train station concourse, dusty Christmas decorations at the entrance (in March!), and there's not a single green plant or even a single flower on the table. Service was overwhelmed, even though not all the tables were occupied. The food was warm, and I wouldn't recommend it. There are significantly better Greek restaurants in Zwickau.

The food tasted good; I especially liked that you could put together your own salad at the small buffet counter. The prices are reasonable, but there could be a bit more food on the plates.

We always enjoyed staying in Athos but this was the last time for us! Were treated very unfriendly because we hadn't made a reservation (2 people). It was bad service the whole time and we wanted to leave quickly... The food tastes good so far, but if you take a meal with you, it feels like you get a children's portion for the same price as in the restaurant. Impudence!!!!

Always enjoyed going there, but today 2/3 of the dishes didn't correspond to the description on the menu. With a starter with garlic sauce you would expect that too and nothing with tomatoes, because then we wouldn't have ordered that. The waiter reacted very poorly and tried to convince us that it was like that. But we've also eaten it differently. When it comes to the main course, the audacity is bad... the menu says FRIED TUNA, but I got a mountain of fried frozen squid rings. An impudence for almost 20€ and then again discussing that it was all right. Even if it was supposed to be frozen squid rings and it was just the wrong German, then the price is far too high. Of course both went back. Of course, no one came to the table to pay, so we had to go to the counter. If they had had a bit of service consideration, they would have taken my drink off the bill as compensation. But that wasn't the case. It's a shame that we had such a negative experience today. We liked going to Athos, but we probably won't do that anymore.

I have known Athos for a very long time and always enjoy eating there.

Always very friendly, food always lovingly prepared and very tasty. For me the best Greek in Zwickau. In the evening you can take the salad yourself at the buffet, and at lunchtime the salad is served directly to the table. Price-performance fits. The lunch menu is highly recommended.

I am now a regular guest there. It's always delicious. I've already felt like I've eaten up and down the menu. Great selection of drinks and the food fills you up. So really full. Especially since the starters are highly recommended. Feel free to try the garlic potatoes as a side dish. The hot ones deserve Knobi.. Otherwise, Saganaki, Tyrokafterie and grilled pepperoni are awesome. In summer or on warm days you can still sit beautifully in the backyard. The only “drawback” is that order taking lags a bit behind when there is a lot of activity. But otherwise everything works for me!

A decent value for money but a very crowded and loud place. Felt like a pawn on a conveyor belt. It could benefit after a more subdued atmosphere and a little more attention to personalisation

Went to the restaurant as a small Christmas party with 7 people. Had a place at the end of the large dining room. If someone had to leave the middle, they had to stand up because everything was so tight. The door to the terrace was often open because some smokers went outside. Some of the tables and benches were broken. The female waiter was very unfriendly. Our orders were mixed up and something was constantly missing. The food was absolutely average. My starter platter consisted of three very thin slices of zucchini, one slice of auburgine, one Spoon of beans, a mini dollop of garlic cream and a thin slice of feta. Plus a dry bread for a hefty €15. The fries were tasteless. We had to wait forever for our drinks or it wasn't possible to order. Too bad. There are other Lokwle in Zwickau that are far better.

We had dinner there yesterday with 7 people. The food tasted good, but unfortunately the service was a disaster. Unfriendly and totally stressed. We had to wait forever for the second drink. Then the service staff stirred around a meal to see if it was the food we ordered. That doesn't work at all. And the worst part was the ambience. We felt like we were in a train station hall, loveless and the covers on the benches were already torn. Conversation was almost impossible because it was just too loud. We're definitely not coming back. Another compliment to the ladies at the counter. They were the only ones from the service who greeted us very nicely and said goodbye

Very tasty food and extremely nice staff

Just not what it was anymore! Staff extremely stressed, sometimes seem totally annoyed. The portions of the food have really shrunk, recently there were 9 fries on the plate.

Went to Athos today with our visit... I told them that it was the best Greek restaurant in Zwickau... but I was completely disappointed today... the waitress was completely unfriendly and constantly rolled her eyes when she asked I happened to be there and served.... we waited for over an hour for the food and it was only lukewarm... no drinks were brought... no one felt responsible for it... so all in all we made up our minds We no longer felt satisfied with our visit here in Athos...

Everyone liked the food and the portions were sufficient. Unfortunately, the service didn't even ask if we would like anything else, which is a shame but maybe it was due to the number of guests. All in all it was a successful evening and definitely recommended.

Last night I spontaneously had an appetite for Greek cuisine and Athos has been a recommendation for a long time. We were there shortly after 6 p.m. and got a place for two on the cozy terrace. We shouldn't have been much later. The Athos seems to be popular because it got really crowded 😋🤩. We were also lucky when looking for a parking space - there was a free (paid) parking space right in front of the restaurant. After a quick look at the menu, we decided on the Artemis plate with a really good selection of meat. Fries and rice as well as the salad were included. We also ordered garlic bread and two shandies. Shortly after we arrived, we were given two ouzos on the table - cold and very tasty. The drinks and food we ordered came to the table just as quickly. We liked it very much and it was almost too much for two people (but it could also have been due to the additional starter “garlic bread” that we ordered). The second drink was also requested and quickly brought to the table (we have had different experiences with that too). ). All in all, a successful evening with very good food in a nice atmosphere.

A good lunch menu with a great selection and appropriate prices. Additionally, there is our own beer garden away from the hustle and bustle of the city. And of course an ouzo is also part of the service 😉

A nice ambience with a beer garden... Price/performance for the food is ok for a big city... They are just a bit stingy when it comes to the ouzo, so with a larger number of people, like we were, you could be a little more generous. Otherwise everything was ok and we will go there again.

Our regular restaurant. Best price/performance ratio in Zwickau. As a regular guest, you receive small gifts from the staff such as a personal greeting/farewell, or a little Uzo extra on the house. You know how customer loyalty works. They give a small bonus per visit but that's exactly why you come back a few weeks later. So everyone benefits and everyone is happy. Super warm and super tasty, easy to recommend to anyone who likes Greek food.

There were gestures on site. First impression was quite ok then we have it. Ordered, what can I say, beer and cola were bad... There was no ouzo to greet you.. Food was ok. But you don't necessarily have to go back now... Very long waiting times and... It was the worst. Still no. Ouzo when we paid.

Went there for lunch and as always there was very good food at a moderate price, always with a small plate of salad and the obligatory ouzo. If you want a Greek lunch, you're in good hands here.

Sehr beliebtes Restaurant, super freundliche Kellner, ohne Überraschungen. Kraut Salat und Dorade waren prima. Gebratene Auberginen nicht so - aber das ist Geschmacksache. Wir waren 8 Personen- alle waren satt und zufrieden.

We were there in December and it was good, but unfortunately the chef and service disappointed us today. The beer was stale, the shrimp was like bubble gum, the fish had no taste and the banana wheat was inedible. We're never coming back.

Prices in the menu card are different than when paying for dishes. (everything differed in price by 2/3 e up 👎) The dish was good, but when it comes to Greek delicacies, I've eaten better... chicken soup - very small portion for the price of 5.50 e .. That's why my review is 3 because of the differences between the bill and the menu.
